Can Grace Be Resisted?

Is Irresistible Grace A True Doctrine Or False?

"How hungry are you for God is how much you will have Him? God cannot come in unless you let your self out. God cannot have you anymore than you are willing to let Him. God is a gentle man who respects the will of man in such a way that He will not take an inch of you unless you are willing to let go of your self. God's Presence will rule over your self will, or your self-will will rule over you. God is seeking to fill the empty vessels because those are the ones that have the space to accommodate God within. When God is all you have, He is all you will ever want." — Abraham Israel

The following question is a reader's reply to my above quote.

Question : Does the Spirit come in ounces, liters or gallons like liquids or in volumes like in gas? Or does He come as a Person? Our mind has its own ideas of God!

And God is God Almighty and not a gentleman. How gentle was He when He forced His salvation on Saul of Tarsus? Saul was thrown down from a running horse.. Have you fallen down from a running horse sir? It is not gentle. Please try to learn a doctrine known as 'Irresistible Grace' it teaches you of a Grace that cannot be resisted by the strongest of men's will.

Answer : Jesus always spoke about the Holy Spirit as a living water, that doesn't mean he is a liquid. He is a person only
(John 16:7). But the metaphor was given by Jesus to drive a truth about the character of the Holy Spirit in satisfying people's spiritual thirst. Apostle Paul related the Holy Spirit as a substitute for wine (Eph 5:18), that doesn't mean that Holy Spirit is a alcoholic inebriating beverage, but the metaphor conveys that the Holy Spirit has a wonderful character to release the joy and gladness of heaven in to the heart of those who come thirsting for more of God and His righteousness (Psa 104:15; Heb 1:9; John 14:26; 1 John 2:27). One should understand that the Bible is a earthly book speaking to earthly minds conveying the heavenly invisible truths. So to make earthly people understand a unseen thing, God has always used language we understand in our day to day common activities.

Irresistible grace is just one side of the story, God has given each person a unique will of their own. This is why God desires all humans to be saved or else why should He desire something that is not possible if He already knows that they will not be saved
(1 Tim 2:4). This clearly shows that "Irresistible grace" in itself is not a correct one, but a inaccurate doctrine which has its origin in the Calvinistic influence. Any doctrine that is not compatible with any other part of the sayings of the Bible is not a complete picture of God's word but only a blown off partial one. Another misconception concerning this doctrine is that it teaches that the Holy Spirit cannot be resisted at all, but the word of God clearly says that the Holy Spirit can not only be resisted because of the stubbornness of human heart, but can also be grieved when a person continues to practice evil against the conviction of the Holy Spirit who speaks of sin in their heart (Acts 7:51; Eph 4:30; John 16:8). Such misconception implies that people are forced to accept Christ and men are dragged kicking and screaming into heaven. The true grace which has appeared to all men teaches us and does not force us, to deny ungodliness and worldly lusts, and that we should live soberly, righteously and godly in the present age (Titus 2:11-12). God has promised to save those who believe his Son Jesus as their Savior and themselves as sinners in need of Him (1 Tim 1:15; 2:3; John 1:12). Believing is an act of exercising of the moral will of man and is not a divine imposition of tyranny in executing His will over man (John 7:17; 8:43). Jesus by saying "whoever believes" has given an equal opportunity for every human being to be saved by grace through faith (John 3:16). If God has already chosen who is to be saved and who is not to be saved, then Jesus must have come to the world and said that he has come to condemn the world, but instead He said that He had come not to condemn the world but that it might get an opportunity to be saved through Him (John 3:17; Eph 2:8-9). There are those who turn the grace of God in to licentiousness by declaring that no matter what, God gives us grace which cannot be resisted (Jude 4). The word of God says that these men are ungodly men who are marked by God for this condemnation, so let us be beware of saying something that the word of God does not say.

Gentleness of God doesn't mean that He has no rights to intervene when He sees a sincere man seeking Him from his heart. What does Paul later say?
"I obtained mercy because I did it ignorantly in unbelief" (1 Tim 1:13). This shows that God intervened forcefully in the life of Paul because He was sincerely seeking and trying to glorify God by persecuting the people of the way [i.e. the Christians] whom he believed to be doing things opposite to God's word which the Jews believed. Think about it, the word of God says that anyone who is hanged is accursed of God (Deut 21:22-23). Because of the unsaved state of Paul before God supernaturally encountered him, he must have reasoned that because Jesus was hanged to death on the Roman Cross, he is a sure sinner because the word of God says it . He must have felt that these people who believed Jesus and worshiped Jesus as their Lord and Savior are actually committing one of the biggest blasphemy against the true Jehovah God and His untainted word that came through prophets of old (Matt 5:17). The Pharisees read and believed every word in the Bible and Saul was also a sincere and a zealous Pharisee (Php 3:5-6). God sees the motives of men and saves them while man sees the outward actions only. One need not experience something to believe something, with the Holy Spirit as our guide to illuminate and teach the word of God by standing alongside with us, God's word is more than enough to believe. Praise the Lord!

Thanks and Blessings....

The Blessedness In Forgiving Other's

Forgiving To Be Forgiven

By Abraham Israel

Do you know that when we choose not to forgive others of their mistakes they have done towards us, the devil will immediately get a foothold in to our spiritual life to oppress and torment us?

If we ask, 'Is God the one who is allowing these devisl to come in to our life to torment us in such a way? Is God the one who is sending these devils?'

In one way, we are allowing the devil a foothold by our unforgiveness. But in another way, yes not only God is allowing the devils to torment us when we are living in unforgiveness, but also He is the one who is sending these devils so that we might choose to let go of other's faults as He has always done freely towards us
(Matt 18:32-35). The Lord has clearly said that when we were His enemies living in sin, God made Christ to become our sin's penalty and thus through His unconditional love chose to forgive all our past, present and future sin of our lives once and for all time when we accepted Jesus to be our Lord and Saviour (Rom 5:8; Eph 4:32; Heb 10:10, 12, 14; Rom 10:9-10). As we have now become the children of God through believing in Jesus (John 1:12; 1 John 3:2), our Father God has the rights to train us to grow in to the likeness of His very own character. So because God has forgiven us unconditionally even when we were enemies because of living under the influence of our sin nature, God expects us to do the same by His help.

It is not easy to forgive, it is impossible until God makes it possible. All we need to do is to take a wise choice to let go of people's debt of wrongs done against us and instead let in the love of God surge through us through allowing the Holy Spirit to control our thoughts, actions and desires. Always understand that giving up other's mistake done against us whether intentionally or unintentionally doesn't mean we are weak, it means that we are strong enough to let go of all spiritual garbage of unforgiveness by God's grace.

Forgiveness brings freedom, the freedom to let go of our anger which affects ourselves more than anyone, the freedom from being controlled by our past, the freedom to live outside of the emotional ties to the offender, the freedom from the continual inner conflict of bitterness and hate, the freedom to become whole and enjoy the fullness of life and finally the freedom to love the offender unconditionally with God's love and wish them a blessing inspite of facing malice and evil from them.

Sometimes in our Christian life, we fail in the very basic thing of forgiving others. But we must look only to the example of our God who has forgiven us in Christ Jesus unconditionally and no one else who are just a pale reflection of the perfection of God. First of all if are we thankful to God for our salvation, we will be able to easily forgive others of their tresspass done against us. I would love to tell about this story to really show how we act many times when we are commanded by God to forgive others.

There were two sons named Jim and Jerry in a godly family. But many times they would fight against each other. Then they would come together by forgiving each other of their mistakes as their mom would intervene to bring peace within the family.

One day in the evening time the elder one Jim beat Jerry nicely, then suddenly their mom came to that place unexpectedly. The moment Jim saw his mom, he started to cry and act as though his younger brother Jerry beat him. Mom saw it and mistakenly rebuked the younger boy and he was very much upset about it.

Every day during the family prayer usually they would all get reconciled for whatever mistake they would have done against each other before going to bed. That night as usual they were reading the portion of daily bread and the Scripture reading before going to bed. Mom read the portion of Scripture in which it said,
"26 “Be angry, and do not sin”: do not let the sun go down on your wrath, 27 nor give place to the devil." (Eph 4:26-27). The angry little Jerry was so upset about his elder brother Jim that he did not want to let go of his anger that day. So the younger boy exclaimed in joy, "Mommy, you are right!"

When his mom asked, "What is right?"

Little Jerry said, "I mean, the Bible correctly says that we can be angry and not sin when we do not fail to forgive a person before the sun sets. Now that the sun has already set, I have one more day to forgive Jim for his mistake done against me."

You might laugh if you have got it. Hmmm...some of us try to act like this little boy many times when we are emotionally very upset of what someone has done again us unjustly.

Forgiveness has nothing to do with our emotion, but it is everything to do with our choice to let go. When we let go of men's tresspass against us in obedience to God who has said to forgive all our offenders inspite of their lack of change in attitude for what they have done
(Matt 6:14), God will be very pleased to forgive our failings and fill our heart with His love and release His peaceful, joyful and righteous blessing upon us continually (Matt 6:15; Rom 14:17).

Do you want to experience heaven on earth, then learn to do the spiritual basics of forgiving others rightly and promptly all the time. If you forgive others, you are a blessed person!

Be blessed and be a BLESSING!

Pray this prayer with me saints : Dear Father God, Thank you for forgiving all my past, present and future sins in Christ Jesus and making me your very embodiment of righteousness on earth (Col 3:13; 2 Cor 5:21). You have told me to let go of all the trespass of all men without ever trying to justify that I am right even if I am. You have told me to do this inorder to teach me to grown in your character and so please help me to forgive people whenever I find it hard to do so. By forgiving others, help me experience heaven on earth. Thank you and praise you for your assurance that you will help me be an overcomer all the time by faith. In Jesus name I pray, Amen and Amen and Amen!

Much Blessings.....

Should We Still Believe?

Why Should Christian Parents Pray For Their Children's With Downs Syndrome When No One Is Still Supernaturally Healed?

Question : Why do Christian parents with down syndrome babies and children pray for their recovery, and yet not one person has been ever healed of downs syndrome in the 20th and 21st centuries? Should we believe and live still?

Answer : Do not say that not even one person was healed of downs syndrome in the 20th and 21st centuries. How can you say that for sure. God might have healed someone and you might have never know it for sure. Without any sure evidence, you cannot say things like this as though you know it for sure. When God allows sickness, He will give grace to overcome
(2 Cor 12:9; 1 Cor 2:3; Gal 4:13-14). Paul the apostle never stopped praying until God said that He is not going to heal his sickness because without that a special grace will not be upon His life because of pride (2 Cor 12:7, 10). These are exceptional circumstances. Otherwise it is up to us to ask God and keep asking for healing until it shows up (Mark 5:34). There are times when God wants us to persistently pray and exercise faith for healing (Matt 15:21-28; Luke 18:1-8). Yet at other times He heals immediately even those who have not sought for it (John 5:6, 8-9, 13-14). Many times because of our lack of faith, healing may not happen as expected (Matt 17:17-21). So there are a lot of reasons for someone not getting healed, but expectantly we ought to keep praying and expect the Lord for healing because Jesus has promised that He is willing to heal all those who come to Him with faith (Matt 8:2-3). Because of one man's [i.e. Adam's] sin, sickness entered the world. So now because of one man's [i.e. Jesus'] righteous act, divine healing has been made available to all humans alike (Rom 5:12, 17-19; 6:23; Matt 8:16-17). Until we see healing come to our body, our attitude should be to praise Him and thank Him in faith (Matt 21:21-22; Php 4:6-7). If God wants to supply His grace for our good through our sickness (Rom 8:28), we should allow God to work through it for HIS GLORY! A person should display grace if not healed, which will work for His glory, or else keep praying by faith for healing. If nothing happens, we need to still keep trusting the Lord to praise and thank Him for giving us life and strength enough to carry on daily, thus keeping intact that faith God has already given us for healing. When nothing happens, it is important to persevere in faith. Remember, nothing but only faith can please God enough to make Him do things for us as a reward for our perseverance (Heb 11:6; 10:35-36). Faith is heaven's currency to buy heaven's divine riches. When nothing happens, do not be discouraged, check whether you have enough faith currency and if not go for it until you have enough. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God (Rom 10:17).

Down syndrome is a congenital disorder, caused by the presence of an extra 21st chromosome, in which the affected person has mild to moderate mental retardation, short stature, and a flattened facial profile. Also called trisomy 21. It is relating to a condition that is present at birth, as a result of either heredity or environmental influences. Of course it is a disease. God did not create disease and sickness, but lack of God's healing presence brought all kinds of ailments as a curse to mankind
(Luke 5:17). When sin entered the world through Adam's disobedience to God, sicknesses and diseases took control of humans and got multiplied in all the earth bringing death at the end of it (Rom 5:12; 6:23). But we know that there is a name given to us which is above all these names of diseases and sicknesses in all the earth, it is the name of JESUS that has the power to still heal any disease or sickness (Php 2:9-11; Acts 3:16). All we need to have is His name, faith in His name and the desire to appropriate the faith that comes through Him in order to receive perfect soundness in our body (Acts 3:16; 14:9). If in case we do not have enough faith, we can go to the elders of the Church and ask them to anoint us or the sick person who needs healing with oil, and make them pray the prayer of faith to receive the divine supernatural healing in the body. God has promised that a prayer of faith will save the sick person (James 5:13-15). What more we need? Even if we do not see healing, we must understand that it is better to live with faith and die, than to be miserable and die in unbelief. Faith brings great eternal reward while unbelief robs it away from us. For those whom God allows to continue with the trial of sickness or disease, they will receive a supernatural grace to be a blessing to many, which in God's sovereign perspective is better than healing when He wills it (2 Cor 12:9-10). So whether by life or death, our only desire should be to magnify Christ in our body (Php 1:20).

We do not believe based on our experience, we believe the word and expect a experience by faith. We were saved that way and also we can be healed that way because it is as easy for God to heal some one of their disease like as He forgives them of their sins
(Matt 9:5-6). Jesus has not changed one bit (Heb 13:8), the only difference is that He no more works physically like he did in the first century when He was on earth, but works with us and through us to supernaturally bring healings and miracles as we believe the word and boldly speak and declare over our circumstances to finally overcome it for HIS GLORY (Mark 16:20). As Jesus is sitting right now in heaven as a High Priest representing all believers before God, the Bible says to all believers to approach Jesus throne in heaven boldly through our prayer of faith to obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of our need for healing (Heb 4:14-16). Always believe and pray to receive grace, then speak by faith and overcome all diseases and sicknesses that tries to threaten you (Matt 21:21-22). So may we not limit God with our unbelief anytime and cause grief to God who expects us to live by faith (Psa 78:31-33; 40-42; Heb 10:38).

Thanks and Blessings...

Re : Do Angels Have Wings?

Will There Be Only Adults In Heaven?

Question : Do angels have wings, to that I say, not necessarily. Jesus after His resurrection could move and travel to anywhere without wings. His angels can do the same. We could do the same too when we get there to heaven. In a Bible class, some people told me that they would like to have angel's image and glory, to that I told them, to be created in the image of God is superior. Thanks for the comprehensive and clear rendering about the wings of angels. I like the statement that angels cannot procreate among themselves or with humans. Is there an answer to the question, 'Are there babies or children in heaven?' I say no. We can see only adults in heaven. God bless your ministry richly and add to it power and much mounting of the Holy Spirit.

Answer : You are right we who are the sons of God by faith will need no wings to travel any where in universe after we will be resurrected in the Rapture
(Gal 3:26; 1 Thess 4:14-18). The word of God confirms that we will exactly have a metaphysical body like Jesus who is having a body of flesh and bones without blood in it after his resurrection (Luke 24:38-40; 1 John 3:2). Our natural earthly bodies are made of one blood in which our life resides (Acts17:26; Lev 17:11). Our glorious bodies will be made of the sustaining Spirit of God who will move in our being instead of blood in our glorious body (Psa 104:30, 29; Acts 17:28), thus confirming that now we are children of God in whom the seed of the word of God and Spirit sustains us supernaturally (John 1:12-14; 6:63; 3:6; 1 Peter 1:23). We will be able to go through physical objects without any effort supernaturally, for example even if the doors are locked in a house we can just enter in because of the meta physical nature of our glorious body (John 20:26). We who are God's children are restored with the exact image of God through the gospel that is much superior to the image of any angel in the entire universe (2 Cor 3:17-18; 4:4; Gen 1:26). Infact, angels intelsely desire to look in to the intricacy of the gospel of salvation that has given us the ability to become one with the Lord in the spirit and thus have intimate realtionship with Him like the Trinity have among themselves (1 Peter 1:12; 1 Cor 6:17; John 17:23). Angels cannot have a father son relationship with God as we have because they were not created in the image of God like us who are His sons by our faith and have inherited the very nature of God within us (Heb 2:16; 2 Peter 1:3-4). Though angels are loaded with more might and power than we are (2 Peter 2:11), they are not as blessed and privileged like we are to have intimacy with God. Praise the Lord!

I believe that even the babies who enter heaven will have a spiritually mature mind because the word of God says,
"For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known." (1 Cor 13:12). In other words, God knows all the babies in all the world who are aborted, who die prematurely and those who grow up to become children and then die in thousands of thousands on the street around the world. When they die they are not mature enough to know God as He knows them all, but when they see God face to face in heaven, the word of God promises that they will be reloaded with a supernatural refreshing knowledge of all things, that is to know everything about themselves and others as much as God know them and their background. Babies do have a spirit that can be loaded and renewed with spiritual maturity and understanding by God in such a way that "a little child shall [be able to] lead [even the wild animals]," in the coming kingdom of God (Isa 11:6). In that sense, all will be spiritually mature adults and no babies will be present in heaven. Even their size and stature may become big because think about the aborted babies on earth, if God restores their knowledge that itself is so great, but that is not enough for them because they can't walk in heaven like a rat sized children. Only a mature body will restore the dignity of these children who were murdered even before they were born on earth. They will be given a glorious body that will be of their best size if they have supposedly grown to be an adult on earth. The meaning of restoration is not just receiving a substitute that satisfies the heart, but the exact replacement of the original thing that has been lost because of the curse of sin on earth (Acts 3:21). Nothing is impossible with God who can make it happen easily (Luke 1:37). Thanks and Blessings....

Do Angels Need Wings To Travel?

Do Angels Have Wings?

Question : I would like to know that whether angels really have wings or not? Some men of God preach that angels don't have wings, still other preach that they have wings. I am now confused.

Answer : When we speak about angels, we should remember that they are spirit-beings and are not a natural and physical beings like us who are bound by the law of gravity. The angels do not require wings to travel actually.

We know from the word of God that the heirarchies in the angelic sphere are principlaities, powers, ruler of the darkness of this age, spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly place
(Eph 6:12). Apostle Paul mainly describes this hierarchy only to describe the rebellious one third of all angels who came to work against the will and purpose of God (Rev 12:4). In actuality when one third of the angels fell from heaven along with Satan as their leader, they were all actually part of God's worship team when the earth was formed initially, who chose a little later to seperately act on their own (Job 38:6-7). These fallen angels must have continued with the same hierarcy that they had previously because all of them were uniquely created by God with a particular and unique capacity of glory only (Isaiah 14:12-14; Rev 12:3-4; 1 Cor 15:41). The two third elect angels did not fall from heaven because they stayed faithful to God their Creator in submission and obedience to His command (1 Tim. 5:21). In the letter which Apostle Paul wrote to Colossian Church he described that Jesus has disarmed principalities and powers and made a public spectacle of them by triumphing over them through His death on the Cross (Col 2:15). So we know from this that the principalities were the top chief in the hierarchies and powers were their assistants in the angelic ranks. God has already judged some of the fallen angels which possessed people illegally during Noah's time and have locked them up in prison for final judgment (2 Pet 2:4; Jude 6), still other Satanic and his demonic counterparts whom God allowed after the universal flood were spiritually judged in Christ Jesus, and personally each erring one will be finally sentenced to death before the white throne judgment and sent for eternal torment which is primarily prepared for them (John 12:31; Rev 12:9; 20:10, 11-15; Matt 25:41). We the Church saints will judge angels during that time under the leadership of Jesus (1 Cor 6:3-4).

Angels are "holy"
(Mark 8:38), wise (2 Sam 14:20), innumerable (Heb 12:22) and "mighty in strength" (Psa 103:20; Rev 18:21). As the angels were created by God through Christ Jesus, they are just created beings who are not worthy of worship even though they are awesome in glory (Col 1:13, 16; Heb 1:2-3; Psa 8:5; Luke 2:9). Angel worship is prohibited by God (Col. 2:18; Rev. 19:10; 22:9).

The word "angel" comes from the Greek word "angelos" which means "messenger." Angels are created by God as messengers
(Luke 1:19), warriors (Dan 10:13), and servants mainly (Psa 103:20; Heb 1:14). They are created to bring glory to God constantly (Psa 50:23; 91:11-12; 148:2). Angels are spiritual beings without bodies of flesh and bones (Luke 24:39), they have no ability to procreate or marry (Matt 22:30). They are also used by God to execute His judgement on earth (Matt 13:49-50; Rev 15:1).

The Cherubim and Seraphim are two types of angels with in the whole, possibly the two highest orders of angels I believe because they are the closest guarding angels of the holiness of the throne of God
(Exod 25:20; Ezek 10; Isa 6).

The Cherubim are the ones that stands with their wings open below and beside the actual throne of God in which He is seated in heaven
(Exod 25:20; Ezek 10:1). In the midst of the throne and around the throne of God these four living creatures keep moving proclaiming the holiness of the Lord, leading in worship and adoration toward God, and they have six wings (Rev 4:8). The main purpose of the four living creatures has to do with declaring the holiness of God and also they were involved in executing God's justice as they were the one who commanded and unleashed the horsemen saying “come” (6:1-8), and also it is one of the four living creatures that will supply to the seven angels of God with the golden bowls full of the seven last plagues of the wrath of God (Rev 15:1, 7). Ezekiel the prophet revealed that when the wings of these Cherubim flapped, the resultant sound was like the voice of "Almighty God when He speaks." (Ezek 10:5). Also their wings were full of eyes (Ezek 10:12). These living creatures appeared to have the form of a man's hand under their wings which showed that God's reason for creating these beings was to ultimately make them serve God in His purpose for man (Ezek 10:8). Ezekiel saw that when the glory of the Lord departed the entrance of the Temple of God, "the cherubim lifted their wings and mounted up from the earth in [his]... sight." (Ezek 10:19). So we know from this that this Cherubim uses its wings to fly and it is used by the Lord as a traveling vehicle to shuttle from heaven to earth and earth to heaven (Psa 18:10). God dwells between the Cherubim (Psa 99:1; Isa 37:16). When man sinned and fell from the perfect glory of God (Rom 3:23), God mercifully placed a Cherubim in the garden of Eden to prevent the sinful couple from eating the fruit of the tree of life and living forever in that sinful fallen state (Gen. 3:24).

The Seraphim are angels that stands above the throne of God and worships Him continually. Because it stands above the throne which indicates that they are able to see the unfolding revelation of God all the time, because of this reason they were given six wings out of which two are used to cover their face, the other two are used to cover their feet and with the final two they used it to fly
(Isa 6:2). From this we know that these angels too fly, using their two out of six wings. Also we come to understand that in the heavenly realm, wings doesn't necessarily mean that it is given only to fly. They cover their face and feet with their four wings inorder to show their deep respect and awe towards God in all humility, thus conveying to all that they know so much of God and experience His glory so much by God's mercy that they do not deserve to even reveal themselves to any one who comes before God. When these creatures of heaven see the earth with God's perspective, they notice nothing but all the earth filled to the full with the Glory of God that they cannot stop crying, "Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of hosts" (Isa 6:3). These Seraphim also served as agents of purification for Isaiah as he began his prophetic ministry (Isa 6:6-7).

Apart from these above two highest orders of angels, many other angels are sent by God to serve saved man and are present invisibly around us
(Heb 1:14). There are no explicit evidence anywhere in the Bible to tell that all angels have wings, but some are said to have wings as we have seen above. Infact the Bible says that many times they appeared to people suddenly out of no where as strangers and were "entertained unaware" by the good hearted saints of God who lived in the Old Testament times (Heb 13:2). The apostolic writer of the Hebrew Book was saying this example to empasize the point that these angels might appear in our times too like in the same way, so that we should also emulate the compassionate heart of the Old Testament saints and show forth the glory of God to the whole universe. This shows that if these angels had come with wings, it would have immediately made them to be seen as some one different or alien rather than just be seen as some other human stranger from another place on earth.

Most of the people who have come to believe that angels have wings are not wrong in the sense that the Cherubim, Seraphim, Gabriel and other angels who were seen by humans were said to have had wings and were using it to fly. There are various orders of angels which serve different functions in the universal kingdom of God like Cherubim and Seraphim which have wings to it and serve God very near to His throne in the Holy of Holies in heaven. Satan is believed to be the most powerful angel in existence and must have had wings as he is called in the Scripture as anointed "Cherub" of which "Cherubim" is a plural word
(Eze 28:14, 16; 1 John 4:4). Although we do not see from the word of God that Satan is said to have wings, but as the Cherubim in other places of the Scripture had wings, we can implicitly conclude that it must have had wings (Ezek 10:8). Then there are the arch angels of whom Michael is one of the "chief princes [Note the plurality]" (Dan 10:13). This gives us a clue that there are other arch angels along with Michael who operate in this highest authority of God over all other angels (Daniel 12:1; Jude 1:9; 1 Thess 4:16). Michael is seen to be a warrior and a guarding angel mainly (Rev 12:7; Dan 10:13, 21; 12:1). The word "archangel" is not found in the Old Testament and comes from a Greek word meaning "chief angel", which means the leader of other angels. An interesting note is that in Rom. 8:38, Eph. 1:21, and Col. 1:16, the word "principalities" is used. In Greek the word has the prefix of "arche," which means 'chief' suggesting it could be the archangels. This does imply there is a hierarchy of angels as is suggested in 1 Pet. 3:22: "who has gone into heaven and is at the right hand of God, angels and authorities and powers having been made subject to Him." (NKJV). In other words, it means that Jesus is at the right hand of God because all angels of chief authority [principlaities] and those who were holding delegated powers under them were made to be subject compulsarily under Him by the order of God's power (Col 2:15; Php 2:9-11). Apostle Paul also mentions of angelic stars among the "elect angels" (1 Tim 5:21) and says "one star differs from another star in glory" (1 Cor 15:41) thus implying again that each angel has a unique glory and position of authority (Rev 12:4).

Then comes the messenger angel Gabriel who is again and again seen to announce important messages from God to people, the Scripture says that he was made to fly swiftly by God to meet Daniel
(Daniel 9:21). Then we see the demonic feminine angelic beings with evil characteristics having wings and carrying a container in which a lead disc of wickedness was sitting, they carried it to finally build a end time Babylon from which the whole world will be controlled by the Anti-christ (Zech 5:5-11; Rev 18:10; 17:1-5). Then we see a angel flying through the midst of heaven to proclaim the woe's of God to the inhabitant's of earth just after the fouth trumpet of the apocalypse angel who sounded it (Rev 8:13). Then again we also see another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell on earth (Rev 14:6).

The wings of an angel do not just exist in order to help them fly like a bird on earth which will use his or her wings differently, such as to flap, soar, or hover in the air inorder to overcome both air-resistace and gravity. Though these angelic wings may be used for flying, they are used only to fly gloriously as per the instruction and need of the situation that God has sent them to fulfill. The wings of Cherubim and Seraphim are beyond the earthly purpose to fulfill a symbolic heavenly purpose of the royalty of heaven. Like many times as we have already discussed, angels in the Bible have appeared like human beings in disguise under God's sovereign authority to fulfill His assignment and order, but this doesn't mean that they look like human beings. So we cannot limit the purpose of the wings of angels to a limited understanding of flying only, but more than that as they move around in space where gravity is no more there, it is given for something more than that to fulfill God's purpose for them in glorifying Him.

As you said, some men of God preach that angels don't have wings, still other preach that they have wings because there are certain amount of truth in both the teaching. As we have discussed, it is not just one or the other that is right, but both are right. So I believe that you need not be confused, but come to comprehend that both are possible according to the word of God.

Much Blessings...
