Did Job's Wife Ever Change?

Q : I just want to ask who is the wife of Job at the end of his story, same wife or a new one. Thanks & God bless you.

A: I hope and also beleive that she must have been a new one because of the unconditional blessing of God over Job's life (Job 42:12). Seeing how the Lord has justified her husband Job after all the humiliation before men and angels, must have made her see and accept the magnificence of God. Job's friends who criticised and accused Him of sin were made by God to repent of their sinfulness in accusing the man of God Job who was just, blameless and upright in the sight of God and who was the only man commended by God before Satan in the Bible (Job 1:8; 42:7). And also the Lord restored Job's losses [i.e. which includes his wife's corrupted mind due to satanic intrusion being renewed with the truth of God] (Job 42:10, 11). Double blessing must have come upon the wife of Job because of Job's integrity before God and his love for Him. This is why she bore seven sons and three daughters (Job 42:13), which God cannot do unless her mind was renewed seeing the magnificence of God's goodness. The New Testament equivalent of the above truth was explained by Apostle Paul to a Jailer who wanted to get saved. He said, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household [that included his wife and children]" (Acts 16:31). Truly a household salvation.... God Bless You Greatly!
