The Heavenly Jerusalem And The Earthly Temple, What Is The Connection?

Is The New Jerusalem Described In Rev 21 And The Jehovah Shammah Described In Ezekiel 40-48th Chapter The Same Or Different?

Question: Is the temple called as "New Jerusalem" in Rev 21st Chapter different from Ezekiel's "New Temple" called as Jehovah Shammah described by him in the 40th to 48th Chapter?

Answer : The
"New Jerusalem" in Revelation 21 has 12 gates named after Israel (Rev 21:12), while the "New Temple" described by Ezekiel has 12 gates named after Israel (Eze 48:30). The "New Jerusalem" in Revelation 21 has 12 foundations named after Apostles (Rev 21:14), while the "New Temple" described by Ezekiel has foundation not described. The "New Jerusalem" in Revelation 21 is 1400 miles square and tall (Rev 21:16), while the "New Temple" described by Ezekiel is One mile square (Ezek 48:30). The "New Jerusalem" in Revelation 21 is seen coming Down from heaven (Rev 21:2), while the "New Temple" described by Ezekiel is located in Israel on Earth (Ezek 40:2). The "New Jerusalem" in Revelation 21 has no Temple but God and the Lamb are its Temple (Rev 21:22), while the "New Temple" described by Ezekiel is just north of the city (Eze 40:2). The "New Jerusalem" in Revelation 21 has no sin; nothing impure will ever enter (Rev 21:27), while the "New Temple" described by Ezekiel will have daily sin offerings in the Temple (Eze 45:13-15,17). The "New Jerusalem" in Revelation 21 will have no more death (Rev 21:4), while the "New Temple" described by Ezekiel will still experience death because of continuing sin on earth (Eze 44:25 also Isa 65:20). The "New Jerusalem" in Revelation 21 will have no natural beings but only the perfected ones (Rev 21:27), while the "New Temple" described by Ezekiel will have natural beings (Eze 46:16).

From the above clear differences, we know that the New Jerusalem temple will be in heaven from which the Church and Jesus Himself will operate upon the whole earth with a rod of iron to bring all nations of the earth in to submission to God's will
(Rev 19:14-16), but the New Temple where the Lord Jesus will be present there for a Millennium will be on earth in the present nation of Israel. They are both different locations and different temples.

Much Blessings...
