Boldness comes as a result of our friendship !

Closer your friendship with God, more is the boldness in your prayer

By Abraham Israel

Friendship always brings boldness in each person. A friend will always understand how we react, what we like and what we don’t like. The same applies to our relationship with God. Because we are created in the likeness of God, there is always a 1/3rd of God in every human. That’s why we long to have a relationship with God.

A friend is for life and a true friend will always help in time of need. While we were yet sinners Jesus our true friend gave His life for us 2000 years ago and has redeemed
[bought us by paying our debt] us from death which is the penalty of sin. That why Jesus said, “Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends. You are my friends if you do whatever I command you.” (John 15:13-14). In other words Jesus has told that as a friend He has extended His hand of friendship to us by doing the greatest thing of dying for us, if we are truly His friends, He says to us to do what He says by keeping it. Friendship is not a one sided story, but it is a two way intimacy and fidelity. Jesus came in to this world and died for our sins, so that we as His friends can live in friendship with God through Him in this earth and for eternity.

And His Word declares,
“While we were still sinners [when? Before the time we accepted Jesus Christ as our Saviour and Lord], Christ died for us” so that we can become [be made] “…the righteousness of God in Him.” (Rom 5:8; 2 Cor 5:21). What are we now because of being made righteousness of God in Him is that, we have become saints in Him, not the same old sinners (1 Cor 1:2; Eph 3:8). Saints are those who have washed themselves clean by the blood of Jesus by accepting the finished work of Jesus as theirs by faith (Rev 1:5; 1 Cor 6:9-11; Eph 5:25-27). As we keep confessing our sins to our High Priest Jesus, we will see the power of His blood applied in our soul as we keep living the abundant life that Jesus spoke to His saints. This is a privilege of a friend to go boldly to the throne of grace to find help in time of need [cleansing from sins and protection from the condemnation of the enemy] (Hebrews 10:19-23; 4:16). We are justified and cleansed perfectly in our spirit for ever, but we need constant cleansing in our soul because it has not been made perfect [from birth it has been defective (Ps 51:5; Gal 5:17)], but is being made perfect through renewing of our mind constantly by reminding ourselves of our Position in Him (Heb 12:23; John 17:23). The new born spirit inside us is in the image of God (Col 3:10). This extends a hand of friendship with God through Christ and connects to our soul which is defective by birth and renews it (John 4:23, 24; Eph 4:23, 24).

The more we know about Jesus by growing closer to Him as a friend, the more bold we will become because we are in Him
[not apart from Him] (Eph 3:12; 1 John 4:17). Love of God gets perfected by our action towards God and others. Our actions get modified when we start thinking rightly in our soul. Our souls get cleansed again and again by the blood of Jesus when we confess to Him and have fellowship with Him. Jesus lives in us by His Spirit. Because He is in us, we are the righteousness of God in Christ [the anointed ones anointing which is in us forever]. Once a man feels and knows that he is righteous, he will not fear about any thing, no matter what. And the Holy Spirit is the one who gives us this assurance from our friend Jesus.

Once we know that we are declared righteous by a relationship with our friend Jesus, who is the ruler and judge of this world, we will become bold. And when we understand that as a righteous man our prayers avails much or in other words our prayers will make things happen in the natural realm, we will get bolder and bolder, until we start to declare and decree things in the natural realm. As we get result after result for each of our prayer, our confidence and faith will sky rocket and our friendship with God will get closer than ever before. Praise the Lord!
