Answer: Greetings in Jesus wonderful name!
Tithe is a minimum that we give to God out of what he has already given to us in every area of our lives (1 Chron 29:14-15, 16-17). It is not just money, but more than that...our time, our resources, our time of prayer, even our whole body etc...as everything belongs to God and we are just a steward acknowledging all the blessings our Master has blessed us with on earth (Rom 12:1, 2). So in the Old Testament it is a law (Gen 14:20; 28:22; Heb 7:4; Deut 14:22-23; Num 18:21; Lev 27:30-32; Luke 18:12), but in the New Testament it is a cheerful heart choice than honors and pleases God and blesses us immensely back, and that too eternally (2 Cor 9:6-8).
If we give grudgingly, we will miss our eternal reward as our motive to give is out of a unwilling heart. Little or much, the heart behind the giving is more important to God and he always acknowledges the sacrificial giving through appreciating the givers with untold eternal blessings forevermore (Luke 21:1-4).
So we should choose to give to places of need in ministries of missionaries and other true workers in His vineyard, being wisely guided by the Holy Spirit and must give particularly a part of it to the Church which teaches us the Word of God and guides us spiritually for our eternal benefit (2 Cor 9:6-7, 8; Heb 13:7; Gal 6:6). When we give to God, we are more blessed than when we receive because of the spiritual reward we gain for eternity (Acts 20:35). Glory to God!
So we ought to go after it! For the Glory of God!
Much Blessings...
Question: Explain 1 Timothy 5:24 please.
Answer: Greetings! Here are the verses in context, 1 Tim 5:24-25, "24 Some men’s sins are clearly evident, preceding them to judgment, but those of some men follow later. 25 Likewise, the good works of some are clearly evident, and those that are otherwise cannot be hidden."
Here in 1 Tim 5:24, God explains that most of the believers sins are judged by God immediately as they are His children who has inherited eternal life unlike unbelievers (1 Peter 4:15-19; 1 Cor 11:29-30, 31).
When a persons hidden sins seems to be hidden, their transgressions are revealed in the judgment of the righteous believers, which takes place at BEMA SEAT after RAPTURE by Christ (Rom 14:10-13; 2 Cor 5:10). On that day the believer who has sinned secretly will feel ashamed of it in heaven, having wasted on earth their God given time of gaining eternal reward for themselves (1 John 2:28).
That is why when these things happen, good works of some are also appreciated, as it has been clearly evident even when they lived on earth (Matt 5:16; Acts 9:36; 1 Pet 2:12), which will continue with them for eternity!
GLORY TO GOD!
Much Blessings....
