Sheep and Goats, Who are they?

God's Judgment on Nations, When Will It Happen?

By Abraham Israel

Hear the Parable:

"31 “When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. 32 All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. 33 And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. 34 Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: 35 for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; 36 I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’ 37 “Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? 38 When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? 39 Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ 40 And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’ 41 “Then He will also say to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels: 42 for I was hungry and you gave Me no food; I was thirsty and you gave Me no drink; 43 I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, naked and you did not clothe Me, sick and in prison and you did not visit Me.’ 44 “Then they also will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to You?’ 45 Then He will answer them, saying, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’ 46 And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”" (Matt 25:31-46)
.

This Parable of Jesus starts directly with the truth of reality that the Son of Man
[i.e. Jesus] will judge all the nations around the world and then moves in to a symbolic parable to give us the truth of how each nation will be evaluated or in what basis all the people will be judged. When Jesus starts the parable He assumes that the reader understands His Second Coming to this earth and says, "When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory.". Jesus assumes that the reader will understand His Second Coming to this earth because in the previous Chapter Jesus spoke about this glorious event by saying, " 29 “Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 30 Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other." (Matt 24:29-31). In this previous verse we see that the Great Tribulation will come first when the Anti-Christ will make the Holy Place of the end time third temple of God to be abominable leading to desolation at the end of it (Matt 24:15, 21-22).

All the birth pangs that Jesus said would come will come before this mid-point of 7 year covenant made with the nation of Israel by the Antichrist
(Daniel 9:27; Matt 24:8), once the labor of great Tribulation starts after the rapture of the Church which will succeed the abomination of desolation (Matt 24:15-22; 1 Thess 4:13-18), all hell will be let loose from the side of Antichrist and from God who will begin to manifest Himself through the Holy Prophets Elijah and Enoch who will come alive in their natural body at that time supernaturally (Rev 13:5-8; 11:3-6). The Great worldwide Tribulation will start only after the falling away comes first and then the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition who will oppose and exalt himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he will sit and show himself that he is God (2 Thess 2:3-4). Once the Great Tribulation gets over by sovereign intervention, already there will be darkness in heavens for a third of the day and night, which would have been caused by God's fourth Trumpet Judgment (Rev 8:12). So this darkness in heavens will increase as the powers of heaven will be shaken after the Great Tribulation gets over and as a result of it the whole heavens will get darkened. Because the stars will fall from heaven, many destruction will happen on earth because of it (Matt 24:29-31).

When Christ comes from heaven, already a group of glorified saints who have been raptured in the bride-resurrection will come along with Him in white horses
(1 Thess 4:13-18; Rev 19:7-8, 14), Jesus will also take the martyred Tribulation saints who will be in their spirit-body along with Him and will resurrect them from around the world (1 Cor 15:50-52; Matt 24:31; Rev 19:4-6). These Tribulation saints are the only people who will have gone through the Great Tribulation and who have died for not taking the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name by faith, these will partake in this second coming resurrection (Rev 13:15-17, 7-10), along with the all time martyrs from the time of first Adam to that time of the rapture of the Church (Matt 23:35-36; Rev 6:9-11; 7:9-17).

The Kingdom Inaugural

When Jesus comes at His second coming, he will come as the King of Kings and Lord of all Lords. The first time He came to sacrifice His life for the sins of all the people of this world and save them from sin
(Luke 19:10; John 10:17; 12:32; 3:16). The second time He will come as a warrior King of Kings along with all the Kings who will be the redeemed saints to establish righteousness of God in all the earth (Rev 19:11-21; 5:8-10; Exod 15:3; Psa 9:8; 98:9).

The moment Jesus arrives on earth along with all the armies in heaven who will be the saints clothed in white linen
(Rev 19:8, 14), he will kill the Antichrist and the false prophet with a word, along with all the 200 million army men who will come to destroy Israel (Rev 9:15-21; 16:12-16; 2 Thes 2:8; Rev 19:15, 13-14, 20-21; Eph 6:17). These 200 million army under the command of Antichrist will have previously killed nearly one third of the whole mankind using Nuclear Bombs to threaten the whole world in to submission to Antichrist and to worship Satan openly. But God will have allowed such a catastrophe to make the people of the whole world to repent for their sins seeing that the end of the world was at hand, yet they would not repent (Rev 9:20-21). The Antichrist along with the False prophet will be directly thrown alive in to the lake of fire burning with brimstone (Rev 19:20). These two will be the first residents in the lake of fire and they will inaugurate it.

All the other souls of unbeliever who will have partaken in the Armageddon war again Christ and His army will be killed on that day and will be kept in Hades for the White Throne Judgment of all unbelievers at the end of the Millennial rule of Jesus Christ
(Rev 16:12-16; 19:21; 20:11-15).

So once these matters are settled in a day which will start at the evening time, then will the Kingdom be gloriously inaugurated
(Zech 14:1-9). Thrones will be put in place in Jerusalem and then will the Judgment of nations will take place (Rev 20:4; Dan 7:26-27). When Jesus answered to Apostle Peter's question of “See, we have left all and followed You. Therefore what shall we have?”, He spoke about the same establishment of God's kingdom on earth in the future by saying, "“Assuredly I say to you, that in the regeneration, when the Son of Man sits on the throne of His glory, you who have followed Me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel." (Matt 18:27-28). So Jesus spoke about the Judgment of nations in these preceding verses and have assured the apostles that the twelve will judge the twelve tribes of Israel (Rev 7:4-8). Therefore, the judgment of nations will have Jesus along with all the apostles of all time to judge and administer justice based on the word of God.

Three Groups Present at the Same Time

When Jesus spoke about sending angels with a great sound of a trumpet and gathering together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other during the second coming, he is pointing mainly to the Tribulation saints and martyrs of all ages beginning from Adam to all those who died due to martyrdom during Great Tribulation
(Matt 24:30-31; 23:34-36; Rev 6:9-11;7:9-17). So all the multitude of martyrs of all time and those who died during the Great Tribulation will rise up at the time of the second coming of Jesus and will come to the judgment of nations to inherit their eternal reward of partaking in the kingdom of God on earth as His priest for a Millennium and to continue in this special work of the Lord for eternity (Rev 7:9-17; 20:4, 6). This will be the first group of people who will come to partake of the Judgment of the nations, but these will come in their resurrected glorious bodies and not in their natural physical body as they have already partaken in the first resurrection of all martyrs during the Second Coming.

After Jesus sits on the throne to Judge,
"All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats." (Matt 25:32). After the first group shows up in their glorious body in the judgment of nations, Jesus turns his attention towards those who are left alive and have come out of the Great Tribulation from all nations with their physical natural body. Those who received the seal of antichrist during the Great Tribulation, along with all those people who have not helped the believers of Jesus will be considered as Goat company. These are those who wanted to save their own lives rather than stand for the truth of God that has been clearly revealed through the two prophets and God's direct wrath along with it at the end to turn towards God and repent of idolatry (Rev 11:7-10; 16:8-11). The goat company who will be separated by Jesus are those earth dwellers who want to save their life in spite of knowing the truth that antichrist and Satan are those who have instigated the rebellion against God to control the earth (Rev 13:8; 11:10).

Goats are considered as accursed ones in their natural physical bodies, destined for eternal punishment. Their identity
“accursed ones” comes to them because of a rejecting response to Christ as evidenced by their treatment of “one of the least of these” who were the Great Tribulation martyrs standing before Jesus in their glorious bodies. Their punishment to “depart from [Jesus...]... into eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels” has been pronounced by Jesus because of a lack of faith that these goat company of people displayed in their lives through their works.

Sheep are considered as righteous, destined for eternal life. Jesus said,
"14 I am the good shepherd; and I know My sheep, and am known by My own. 15 As the Father knows Me, even so I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep. 16 And other sheep I have which are not of this fold; them also I must bring, and they will hear My voice; and there will be one flock and one shepherd." (John 10:14-16). So the sheep company are those who will have faith in Jesus by hearing His voice and who have expressed their faith through their works through the dangerous and life threatening situation of Great Tribulation (James 2:14, 22). The identity of sheeps as “blessed of [Jesus'].. Father” were qualified by their right response to Christ as evidenced by their treatment of “these brothers of Mine [i.e. Tribulation saints who were standing in their glorious bodies before Jesus], even the least of these” as described by Jesus. These sheep company of people in their natural bodies who heard the voice of Jesus in their heart and followed the footsteps of Jesus to stake their life on the line of danger to help the saints who lived during the Great Tribulation will "inherit the kingdom prepared for [them...] from the foundation of the world”.

So the bottom line is, only believers will enter in to the Millennial kingdom of Jesus on earth. All other unbelievers will be sent directly to eternal hell fire prepared for the devil and his angels. But this pronouncement by Jesus doesn't mean that these people will be sent to 'Gehenna hell fire' which will happen to these people after the White Throne judgment which will take place at the end of the Millennial rule of Jesus. Just before the Great White Throne Judgment takes place, all unbelievers will be resurrected in their sin-condemned natural body once again and then will be shown the reason for being condemned and then justfully will be send by God in to eternal hell fire. Only Antichrist and the false prophet will be the first occupiers of the Gehenna's Eternal Hell fire according to the word of God which will happen at the end of the war of Armageddon itself
(Rev 16:12-16; 19:19-21). Till the White throne Judgment all those unbelievers who were killed during the end of the Armageddon war and after the Judgment of nations by the word of Jesus will be kept in 'Hades Hell' which is actually a prison where dead spirit of all unbelievers are kept in torment of 'waterless pit' (Rev 19:21; 20:4-6; Luke 16:22-23; Zech 9:11; Matt 8:12).

The Sheep Company and Goat Company Will Stand Separately

In the very words of Jesus He says,
"33 And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. 39 Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ 40 And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’ 41 “Then He will also say to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels: 42 for I was hungry and you gave Me no food; I was thirsty and you gave Me no drink; 43 I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, naked and you did not clothe Me, sick and in prison and you did not visit Me.’ 44 “Then they also will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to You?’ 45 Then He will answer them, saying, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’ 46 And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”" (Matt 25:33-46).

Right hand has a unique place in the Bible always, the concept —which is thoroughly Jewish and developed in the inter-testamental period (cf. 1 Enoch) — of “sitting at the right hand” indicates authority from and special privileged access to God. So these Sheep company who have been seperated on the right hand of Jesus in the judgment of nations will have eternal special priviledged access to God. But those on the left will have no such privileges or salvation to enter in to the blessed kingdom of the Heavenly Father. The goat company stationed on the left hand side of Jesus will forever be doomed. Clearly these goat company of people were opportunist who were willing to help others only when they knew that their life will not be endangered, and they knew that it will happen only if Jesus would come to take the power over nations. They had no heart to help other true believers of Jesus during the Great Tribulation because they thought that they might die if found out by Antichrist and his international network of assassins. This is the reason they were asking Jesus, "Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to You?". They were ready to help Jesus but were not ready to help the brethren of Jesus who were dying as martyrs during the Great Tribulation at the hand of Antichrist (Rev 13:4-10, 15). Rahab the harlot by faith hid the three spies of Israel putting her life on stake (James 2:25), she knew that if she was found out and proved before the people of Jericho she will be immediately put to death. In spite of such dangerous situation she helped the Israelite spies because she believed the true God of Israel who is able to save her not only from physical death but also eternally (Heb 11:31; Jos 2:1-24). The scarlet thread of faith in the Jehovah God saved Rahab and her family from perishing from the judgmental wrath of God upon the ungodly city of Jericho. The same will happen during the end times, those who believe in the true Jehovah God's power to save them from eternal death more than the physical will be made to live through the Millennium as a blessed saint of God for the rest of the Millennial rule of Jesus. These Millennium saints will have the faith of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego to wade through the Great Tribulation and come out unscathed out of it (Dan 3:28-30).

These Sheep company of people will be bold enough to stand up against Antichrist and his assassins secretly with a faith that will be ready to confess to them saying,
"16 ...“O [Antichrist....], we have no need to answer you in this matter [of receiving the seal of 666 (Rev 13:16-18, 14-15)]. 17 If that is the case [that you will kill us for not worshiping the image of the beast (Rev 13:15)], our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us from your hand, O king. 18 But if not, let it be known to you, O king, that we do not serve your gods, nor will we worship the gold image which you have set up.”" (Dan 3:16-18). They will help as many believers of Jesus to be hidden from getting caught by Antichrist and his end time network of cold-blooded assassins. These Sheep company of people will not be afraid to lose their own lives if they are caught for giving asylum for the true believers of Jesus. This is the reason they asked Jesus, "...'Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? 38 When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? 39 Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’".

All true believers will not accept the mark of beast
[i.e. 666] either upon their right hand or on their forehead (Rev 13:16, 18). Because of this many many believing saints will go hungry without food and water (Rev 13:17), or will be considered a total stranger by this world of whom the world is not worthy (Heb 11:36-38), they will be destitute of clothes because they will be not able to buy any with out the seal of the Antichrist, because of hunger many saints will become sick and others who were to be executed will be kept in prison. But those who are of sheep company will secretly help all these saints knowing that such acts of kindness to these saints will endanger their very existence. God will consider these sheep company as those who have faith and will be evidenced through their good works through the time of Great Tribulation.

The Lesson Learnt

The great lesson we can learn from these event is that those who want to save their life in this earth will ultimately lose it for eternity ahead. But those who want to lose their lives for the sake of God and his faith will ultimately be rewarded with a blessed existence with God in their future life whether they still live or have died at the time of the Second Coming of Jesus
(Matt 16:25; Mark 8:35; Luke 9:24; 17:33). The goat company of earth dwellers who wanted to save their physical life in spite of knowing that they are in rebellion against the true will of God who created the universe, lost both their physical and eternal spiritual life completely at the time of the judgment of nations. But the sheep company of heaven seeking people who were ready to lose their physical life for the true God who created them finally received a blessed invitation to live in the Kingdom of the Heavenly Father who had prepared it for these meek and radical people of the end time (Matt 25:34). Never try to save your life in these end times, where the thin thread of faith and unbelief will be manifested to heaven and the earth through our actions (Jam 2:17-18). True faith will radically show itself naturally to the whole world. God had not changed His mind to save people based on their outward work, but this shows that the faith of the saints will become stronger and stronger during the end times which will ultimately end in their boldness to die in billions for their faith during Great Tribulation (Dan 11:31-35). Purification of faith will happen during hardship of the end times to all saints. This will be a pure faith of salvation that will be given as a gift of God as before (Eph 2:8-9), but it will be with an increased boldness that will have no fear to show itself to the whole world like the faith of the Apostles (Acts 4:27-31).

Those who have true faith will love their brethren whom they see before them with their physical eyes
(1 John 4:20). This is what will be done by the saints who will have true faith of God in their hearts during the time of the Great Tribulation (Jam 2:14-17).

Because we are in the end times, Satan knowing that his time is up is trying his best to promote a counterfeit spirituality inside the Church that accepts a form of godliness but denies its power
(Rev 12:12; 2 Tim 3:5). We ought to turn away from such false faith that will do no good to our faith, instead it will take people captive in to eternal doom and damnation. We ought to check ourselves as Apostle Paul told that whether we are in faith, because true faith will work inside out and manifest out of us through good works like loving our brethren and standing and contending for our faith (2 Cor 13:5; Jam 2:18; 1 Cor 16:13; Jude 1:3; 3 John 1:11). I pray that the Lord might help us to stand in faith perpetually in the end times and bring Glory to His Holy name! Let us lose our life in God and find it again abundantly given back to us by Him in His time. Praise the Lord!!
