Is Masturbation A Sin When The Object Of My Desire Is My Wife?

When My Wife Is Far From My Place Of Work And I Cannot Have Physical Intimacy, Is Masturbation Sinful In That Context?

Question: What if the object of my desire is my wife because I work far from home, physical intimacy is limited. Is masturbation sinful in that context?

Answer: Greetings in Jesus wonderful name!

From personal experience I can tell that masturbation needs a lustful stimulation of some kind to continue, which is sin (Jam 1:14-15). It is like the fire cannot burn without wood of lust being given for burning. Therefore Jesus said that "if your right eye causes you to sin", then contextually goes to the next verse and says, "if your right hand causes you to sin", it is better for you to pluck and cast it out, than for your whole body to be cast in to hell eternally (Matt 5:29-30). Have your noticed the right eye and hand co-ordination that Jesus has revealed in these twin verses. One cannot get the maximum pleasure without the other coordinating to sin and masturbate.

What is it? There are demons that try to enslave through the lust of masturbation and take them all along with them to hell fire. So every believer should overcome this sin by faith and cannot continue to enjoy it without tormenting their soul (2 Pet 2:8; 1 Pet 2:11-12). Therefore the first step is to recognize masturbation as sin (1 John 1:9), second one should seek God to receive mercy and forsake this addictive and hellish sin of lust, which can only be overcome within marriage love and practicing overcoming faith (1 John 5:4; 1 Pet 5:6). All fetish lust are in this category and without doubt is a trap and hook of the evil one (1 Cor 7:5, 9). Grace through faith overcomes always without fail when we receive and utilize it (Eph 2:8-10). Glory to God!

Love with in marriage is the purest God kind of love (1 Cor 13; Eph 5:22-25, 31-33)....it is not only self giving....but suffers long...does not seek its own satisfaction (1 Cor 13:4-7), therefore the bottom line is that self control is one of the fruit of the Spirit that must be nurtured by faith through grace that God provides through our relationship with Him (Gal 5:22-23, 24-25). The Bible states that even when a thief steals, he will want to justify that because of hunger he has done it, but he will be punished (Prov 6:30-31). So when we fail, we should run to God, instead of running away from Him (Josh 20:3; 2 Sam 24:14; Gen 19:19; Zec 9:12; Prov 28:13; 1 John 1:9), so that those who are weak in this area can be protected and covered by the power of the blood of Jesus Christ which justifies us (1 John 1:7). Also it is wise to stay near our partner when married, it is a protection of God that he had blessed every man with to keep him away from masturbation which is self-love (Prov 5:18-19; Matt 22:39). But when partner is impossible to be near us because of our profession (1 Cor 9:5-6), then we must commit ourselves to God and be devoted to Him to overcome it (1 Cor 7:2, 10-11, 27, 29, 32). God along with the temptations, will without fail give every time a way out if we continue to seek Him and want to please Him in this area (1 Cor 10:13)! Glory....to God!!!

When you are a believer in Jesus Christ, God will walk with you day to day (Heb 2:18; Heb 13:5-6), and will help you overcome all the bad habits of "this present evil age" (Gal 1:4) and will keep you from falling in to sin again and again, unless to multiply his grace and keep you intact spiritually in humility, if you are extremely blessed spiritually (Jude 1:24; 2 Cor 12:7-8, 9-10). So that you might be able to glorify God and be a testimony through loving your God given wife, by being devoted to God in chastity, when your wife is not near you, and thus building a godly family for all people to see in your circle of influence that God has placed all around you (Php 1:6; 1 Pet 3:7; 1 Pet 2:12). Praise the Lord!

Much Blessings....
