Is Christmas Paganism?
A : No days are pagan as all days are created by God for a good purpose of enjoying it in a godly way (Gen 1:14-19). In the New Testament Apostle Paul has clearly revelaed the will of God for every believer's life saying, "Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice." (Php 4:4). If we take this scripture seriously, it includes Christmas time too. As long as Christmas creates an opportunity to remember Christ and causes us to share the love of Christ with others, it is truly Christian festival. JESUS IS THE REASON FOR THE SEASON. If Christ is taken out of the season, only X..stays with mass, which is then used as an opportunity for a religious and a worldly gathering of people for commercial and personal gain, fun, froth and frolic with out love. What a sad celebration of paganism it will be without Christ and His love in it. Christmas is an opportunity to share the reason for this season with the world which is in darkness. We should create good atmosphere in our homes, and invite people to our home and share the good news creatively with them this wonderful season. This is one more reason we should all celebrate Christmas in the right way, with the right purpose and godly attitude of love. Much Blessings....
