A Question About Eternal Reward And Enduring To The End

What Does Eternal Reward Mean? In Matt 24:13, Did The Lord Tell, He Who Endures To The End Shall Be Saved, To The Church Or To The Tribulation Saints?

Question: What does eternal reward mean?

Answer: Greetings in Jesus Holy name!

Eternal Reward is to reign with Christ in various capacities in the new heaven and new earth with New Jerusalem being our head quarters or capital, after the Rapture takes place. The various capacities are the glory which we inherit just like as a person in earthly military earns his or her position of service for the King or the Kingdom or Government he represents (1 Cor 15:38-49).

Eternal reward is something that will stay with us for eternity ahead.

For example, there are five crowns for believers that can be earned when they work out their own salvation with fear and trembling (Php 2:12-13), they are (1) The Imperishable Crown to those who discipline themselves and overcome sin nature (1 Cor 9:24-27), (2) Crown of Rejoicing for all soul winners (1 Thess 2:19-20), (3) The Crown Of Righteousness to all who loved the appearing of Jesus Christ (2 Tim 4:4:8), (4) The Crown of Life will be given to those who endure temptation and trials, until their physical death because of their love for Him (Jam 1:12; Rev 2:10), and finally (5) To those elder who shepherd people spiritually, being overseers willingly and eagerly and not for dishonest gains, not as being lords over those entrusted to them by God, but rather as being spiritual examples to the flock of believers they lead to eternal life, will be given The Crown of Glory after the Rapture that will not fade away eternally (1 Peter 5:1-4).

Like the above, there are infinite realms of glory that the Lord Jesus Christ will give individually to all believers as a eternal reward for serving him faithfully on earth (Mark 9:41; Matt 10:40-42).

Much Blessings....

Question: Does Matt 24:13 - "But he who endures to the end shall be saved", Message is given to the unbelieving Jews, to endure the Tribulation, till the Second Coming of Christ (The Messiah) to be saved, it has nothing to do with the Church, the Body of Christ, (The Bride).

Jesus at that time, did not die and rise again. The Church did not exist. He was clearly speaking to the Jews.

It was his only audience. We have to believe the whole Bible, but we need to understand the times and places. The Church was a hidden Mystery at that time, as Paul explain later in Eph 3:1-21... The New Testament starts when Jesus died on the Cross, and the Church was born at Pentecost..

Hebrews 9:16-17 KJV?

[16] For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator. [17] For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth. After Jesus died the Church started. What do you think about it?

Answer: Greetings in the Awesome name of Jesus Christ!

Here are the Scriptures in context, "9 “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. 10 And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. 11 Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. 12 And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. 13 But he who endures to the end shall be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come." (Matt 24:9-14).

So clearly in the context of the Church, Jesus is speaking, because He is speaking about the "gospel of the Kingdom" that will be preached in all the world. Will a Jew preach the Gospel or only a Christian will? As we know it is Christians who preach the good news of Jesus Christ and as a result of it, in the end of the end days, many who become familiar hearing the same Gospel, will resist hearing the Gospel because lawlessness will abound, and because of it the love of many towards God and one another will grow cold all over the world. These many will persecute the Christian Church of the last days, some believers seeing the decay and lies of the professing so called Christians, will betray and hate one another.

If Matthew 24 is spoken to the Jews only and not to the Church at all, why does Mark, Luke and John repeat those things? We must be sane to understand that the New Testament as a whole is supplied to the Church and Christians. Old Testament was given to the Jews to keep the Law and be edified by the prophets. A Jew by origin or dna, when He becomes a believer in Jesus Christ, can be called a Messianic Jew, but in reality He is a Christian because in the Church there is neither Jew nor Greek Gentiles according to God. Only when the times of the Gentiles are over and done, after the Daniel's 70 weeks, God will again recognize the Jews spiritually to make them a blessing to the world for a thousand years time. How will a unbelieving Jew will ever open a New Testament and read Matthew 24 to obey it?

So those denying that Matthew 24 as not being spoken to the Church but to the Jew only, are like blind people trying to find the shape of an Elephant, they find no spiritual purpose in it finally for themselves or to the one who hears them expecting edification. They do all these tamasha, just for the sake of accommodating the completely wrong and worthless so called pre-tribulation rapture of 7 years to follow the traditions of men rather than obey God and his word in context (Mark 7:9, 13).

Then why the Church did not remove the Gospels? Because it understood even though the Church arrived physically on the day of Pentecost....yet all the teachings for the Church building spiritually was done by Jesus in the Gospels (Acts 1:1-3; 2:1-4, 41-42; 11:26). Actually, all the teachings of Jesus that is spoken to his disciples were never understood until they were born again after the resurrection of Jesus and were filled with the Spirit, after which with boldness they began to preach and teach the Gospel in all the world (John 16:7, 12, 13-14, 25). The Holy Spirit brings in to remembrance the Gospel and the Scripture that Jesus has taught during his three and half years of ministry on earth (John 14:26), think about it, if Gospels are not there at all, we cannot know anything about Jesus or His teaching to us which the Holy Spirit teaches us and brings in to remembrance (John 17:20). Without it Christianity cannot stand a chance against others.

This is the reason I told you that we as Christians should take the Gospels seriously enough as the very foundation on Christ, upon which we build our spiritual lives, no other foundation is available to us from God except this (1 Cor 15:1-4; 3:11). We cannot derive our doctrines from the Old Testament as it is all given to Jews! But we can only see it through the light of New Testament faith and explain it in relation to our Christian faith (Acts 8:30-35). Hallelujah!

My understanding of the whole Gospels is that Jesus has spoken it all to the Church and not to the Jews at all. That is why, the Jews still do not look beyond Torah which is the first five Books of Moses and no further, and then to the prophets for edification in the light of Moses. The Jews eyes are veiled to see the truth of the Gospel (2 Cor 4:3-4). The Jews who becomes a Christian by belief in Christ Jesus can only be able to see the spiritual truth about God in the New Testament (2 Cor 3:13-14, 15-16). To say not even one verse in Matthew 24 was spoken to the Church is like saying to a Christian, New Testament is spoken to Jews and Old Testament is given to the Church to keep it. So we should always take things in proper context. We should never entertain madness of human tradition above the word of God within the Church to negate the power of it.

Let every Christian understand, that from Matthew to Revelation, it is given to the Christians, to read, understand and obey through the revelation of His word. May the meditation of the heart of all Christians be pleasing to the Lord always through faith and true faith promoted within (2 Tim 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:19, 20-21)! So the bottom line is, the Lord told both to the Church, and to the Tribulation saints more specifically the following Scripture that says, "He who endures to the end shall be saved..." But one thing we can know for sure, He did not tell the Jews the above Scripture, because only those who are saved can be able to endure to the end by the grace of God through their humility before God (Eph 2:8-10; 1 Pet 5:5-6; Jam 4:5-6)

Much Blessings.....
