Should I obey My Earthly Father Or Heavenly Father?

Should I Continue To Go To Church Even After Knowing That My Father Is Resisting It?

Q: I am the only one believer in my family, hence I faced a lot of problems when I go to church to attend the Sunday Celebration. My father calls me every half an hour to know where I am. Need your help. What should I do in this kind of condition? Need your valuable comments please.

A : Greetings to you in Jesus wonderful name. First of all I rejoice for the privilege that you have got to be a child of God. I praise God that you were able to accept the Lord Jesus as your Lord and Savior. When you do the will of God for your life, it will be the hardest thing as for now. But when you walk in it and look back after years down the line, you will understand how important your trust, obedience and faith in God has blessed you. I first of all say to you, you must not offend your parents in anything other than the faith walk that you do. The faith walk that you do is of great value than your very life. So calmly tell them that you will do everything for them except to stop going to Church where you learn all the good things about God and life. When you do that, they will try to hold you for a while. But keep praying to the Lord to make your parent understand your situation and then try to continue in your faith. Always opposition will come when you really want to walk in true faith but never be discouraged. Have faith, no one knows that God might touch your parents when they see your righteous life that has come in to you through our Lord Jesus Christ. They too might want His true blessings in their life too seeing how blessed you have been before their very eyes.

Jesus Himself said,
" 27 “Whatever I tell you in the dark, speak in the light; and what you hear in the ear, preach on the housetops. 28 And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. 29 Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will. 30 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. 31 Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows. 32 “Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven. 33 But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven." (Matt 10:27-33). We should not offend or disobey our parents when it comes to any decision other than God. Because the God who gives us life day today and His love is more important than the very life we have in our body (Psa 63:3), we should be ready to sacrifice our highest valued people like our family, relatives and friends for the sake of our faith which always pleases God. At some point of time, it is better for you to ask the strength of God and stand for the faith that God has given in your heart. When you are not ready to stand up for God, God will also wait for you and will not confess your greatness before the Father God in heaven. So you got to decide who you want to please, your flesh or God who created all flesh for His Glory! If you will decide to please God, then Jesus will make sure to protect you from all harms and will keep your soul which you have committed to Him, He will then also use it to fulfill His glorious purpose for you now and for all eternity.

Much Blessings........

About

apostolicrevelation.blogspot.com is one of the world's fast growing popular Bible study websites, attracting thousands of visitors daily from all around the world. We follow a unique revelatory apostolic seer writing from the Scripture with Rapture taking place any time after Mid-Point but before Great Tribulation begins through Antichrist, we use dispensational interpretation of Scripture and believe the Bible teaches salvation by grace through faith alone, and the eternal security of believers. We will focus mainly on apostolic teaching that will edify, equip and empower the saints to reach their full potential in Christ Jesus. Our goal is the edification, evangelism and empowerment of the last day Church that the Lord Jesus Christ is raising up before His triumphant return!
