Only Faith Pleases God!

Only Faith Pleases God!

By Abraham Israel

1) When God speaks, according to him it is already done (Hebrews 11:1; Genesis 17:5). For example when God promised Abraham about what is going to happen in his life, He did not say ‘…I am going to make you a father of many nations’; But He said “…I have made you a father of many nations.” Because according to God it is already done (Gen 17:5). The very fact that God gave a name change from ‘Abram [i.e. Exalted Father]’ to ‘Abraham [i.e. Father of a Multitude]’ is a testimony that God infused His very own faith in to Abraham by changing his name. Think about it, from that moment onwards everybody who called ‘Abram’ as ‘Abraham’ must have reminded him that the promise of God will come to pass very soon through a child of promise from his own body. In other words, every time someone might have asked him, ‘What is your name?’ He must have answered, ‘Abraham,’ thus reminding him-self and others by his faith confession that God is going to transform him and fulfill His promises.
2) Hebrews 11:6 => Faith is in the present tense, because God speaks in the present tense. So only real-faith people will always speak faith-confession in the present tense even though the fulfillment might be in the future like for Abraham.
These faith confessions must have infused great faith in the promises of God. Some people might have mocked him behind his back saying, ‘Abram has become insane’. But God was pleased with Abraham because he believed His promises and gave glory to God in advance (Rom 4:20). Praising God in advance for the fulfillment of what is going to come will destroy our unbelief that comes through our natural indecisive divided heart and will strengthen ourselves in faith. By believing the promise that God had renewed at the age of ninety-nine and confessing it through his new name ‘Abraham’ brought the manifestation from the Spiritual realm to the natural physical realm within ten months. We must understand that faith confession will always precede the manifestation. Whatever promises that God has personally given us by speaking in to our spirit man or through dreams, visions, prophecies, circumstances, written word, etc… should be confessed through our mouth before others and ourselves in order to see the manifestation of it in the natural after a period of time. At the exact point of time that God has set forth for the manifestation of His promises in your life, will surely come to pass as you hold on to the promises, by faith though praise and confession!

3) Faith Comes by hearing God speak in our spirit-man (Romans 10:17).
When you are in the stage of praising God already for what He is going to do in your lives because of His promise to you personally, then you will hear God assure you in your spirit man again and again that what He has promised will come to pass. So what happens, you will begin to grow in faith by hearing God speak again and again to you. You will have an inner assurance that the promises of God will come to pass. And as a result your friendship with God will be cemented strongly. At the exact appointed time your friend [i.e. God who has by then become your friend because you have fully trusted Him] who has promised you will finally bring to pass what He has promised in your life. Praise the Lord!
4) Faith + Confession => Deliverance in the midst of trails we face (Romans 10:10; 1 Tim 1:18).
When you are fighting the good fight of faith though faith confession, there will come a time in your life when all you could see before you will be hopelessness (1 Tim 6:12; 2 Tim 4:7). This does not come to you from God. God is always good and his intention towards you is for you to prosper (Nahum 1:7; Ps 35:27). His good intention and his awesome purpose toward you never changes while you will be going through this fight of faith (Jer 29:11; Mal 3:6). These times of hopelessness, doubt, fear, comes from Satan and his demons whose very sadistic pleasure is to “…steal, kill and destroy…” (John 10:10; 2 Tim 1:7). These are the very times you can depend on God to fight against Satan and his demons through the power of God that always will come in to manifestation through your faith (1 John 5:4). Through your unflinching faith, God will turn the evil curse that devil has planned for you in to a blessing that only He can do (Deut 23:4-5).
5) Faith will help you obey God. Faith makes you to patiently dwell in the place where God has instructed and prepared for you, until you receive the promise (Hebrews 11:8-9, 10). In other words, faith will give you the strength to go through the trials patiently with a positive attitude looking toward the great future ahead of you.

6) Faith + Endurance => takes you in to the blessing of receiving the Promise (Hebrews 10:35-36).

Many people start with great faith but they do not receive the promise because they do not cultivate endurance in their lives. Many drop out of the race of faith and lose their reward because of lack of endurance, so only Apostle Paul said to the Corinthian Church to run in such a way [i.e. disciplined way] that they may obtain the promise (1 Cor 9:24-27). To win the fight of faith and receive the promise, we must discipline ourselves to develop patience like a good soldier, athlete and a hard-working farmer (2 Tim 2:3-6). All these people develop much patience in their lives to be successful and to receive great reward in the future for the work that they do. Faith is a fight, competition and a process of hard work through which we prove ourselves of its worth. God gives it freely, but to make it work for us needs our participation and our grit to succeed. Always say to yourself, ‘I am a warrior, when you feel defeated.’ Defeat is just a feeling that will pass away after a period of time, but the fact is “God … always leads us in triumph in Christ” (2 Cor 2:14).
Defeat is only an attitude of mind which will remind you always that you cannot succeed in your life. Defeatist attitude will bring more fear of future in your life and paralyze you as a prey before a roaring lion. Fear is a spirit agent of Satan (2 Tim 1:7). Faith and Fear cannot go together. Just as faith confession and life glorifies the Heavenly Father’s gritty character in us, fear confession and death will glorify Satan’s success of his evil package of stealing, killing and destroying man. When you resist fear trap of Satan by your positive faith confession, fear will flee (James 4:7). Satan may act as a roaring lion, but do not let fear control you or else he will devour you through his deceit (1 Peter 5:8-9). He devours people through fear, negative thoughts, defeatist attitude and depression. The greatest victory in any man’s life is not against others, it is against his own self. All the great heroes of faith in the faith hall of fame mastered over self discouragement more than any other thing till they achieved great things through God. This is the real storm in every one’s life.

7) As long as you are connected to God in faith, you will be like an eagle soaring above the storms that are devastating a region. Though others may be affected by it, you may be flying in the midst of it using the same storm to surge through effortlessly by positioning yourself in faith. Faith positions you to fly higher through the storms of life. When it is over you will be blessed more because God will be pleased with how you handled the crisis through His strength. So only Apostle James said 10 My brethren, take the prophets, who spoke in the name of the Lord, as an example of suffering and patience. 11 Indeed we count them blessed who endure. You have heard of the perseverance of Job and seen the end intended by the Lordthat the Lord is very compassionate and merciful.” (James 5:10-11). Here Apostle James comparing the lives of the prophets, he asks us to learn that those endured suffering with patience were the ones who became enrolled in to the blessed faith hall of fame. After this he is pointing to Job’s life and shows how God blessed Job doubly after the ordeal of his life was over. Finally he is appealing to us that the Lord’s unchanging nature is to bless every one of us like Job after the ordeals of our lives are over.

8) Never forget that our God is a God of blessing. His very nature is to bless people who will dare to stand on the unchanging promises of God and fight through to victory with unflinching faith. God is more interested to develop our character than to lull us to laziness through comfort. As a loving Father, He is very compassionate and merciful (Ps 103:13). At the same time He is interested to develop His sons to be warriors and fighters like Him (Ex 15:3). Our Heavenly Father’s nature is a warrior nature. He never gives up no matter what the situation may be; He always wins at the end. Which father will like his sons to be coward rather than a warrior? So only in the original Hebrew the translation for Joel 3:10 is, ‘When you are feeling weak and defeated, say, “I am a strong warrior.”’ In other words it is saying, never give up no matter what, you are a winner because of your Heavenly Father’s nature within you (1 John 4:4). Faith always wins in the end. Praise the Lord!
