"8 But what does it say? "The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart," that is, the word of faith we are proclaiming:9 That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved." (Rom 10:8-10).

Experience the Power of the Word of Faith
Miracle in Your Heart and Mouth
By Abraham Israel
Here in the preceding verses we see the secret to operating in the power of the word of faith. Apostle Paul was saying in verse 8 that he has learned to speak the word of faith and have mastered thus to release the power of God by proclaiming it to people, which in turn created faith in the hearts of people and made them speak the miracles of God in to their own lives.
In verses 9 and 10, Apostle Paul describes how a person can start to operate in this word of faith. In verse 9 he says, operating in the word of faith is a priviledge only for a believer and so "one [must be] born again" (John 3:3) before operating in the word of faith. So to be born again first, one has to first confess with his mouth that "Jesus is [his] Lord", and once he does that he will be able to believe in his heart that Jesus really was raised from the dead and is now alive in heaven as Lord over all the universe. This is true salvation, knowing God by the inner voice of the "Spirit of ...Power" (Rom 8:16; 2 Tim 1:7).
Once a person is saved, he will be able to release the word of faith at will by speaking through his mouth against the situation he faces daily. From this point of time thought-faith is seen and monitered by God to justify you to receive any amount of the power of God from His very throne of heaven. Even though God's power is available to you doesn't mean that you have an automatic deliverance from your problems. In other words, your thought-faith does not bring God's deliverance automatically in to your life's situation except through your confession of the word of faith through your mouth physically. As Apostle Paul has clearly said in the next verse 10 of Rom 10th Chapter, your deliverance will depend on whether you confess the spiritual and heavenly thought-faith in to the word of faith in the physical realm sucessfully.
God is always willing to release His power based on your thought-faith, but releasing it through your mouth will make the whole of heaven stand behind you to fullfill the word of faith that you have spoken in the physical realm. Thought-faith are powerful in the spiritual realm because God sees the thought and rewards each man with His power, but unless the thought-faith becomes a word-of-faith it cannot be effective in the physical realm of this earth where we live (1 Sam 16:7; Psa 94:11). In other words, thought-faith is aborted in the spiritual realm itself without the action of the word-faith spoken in the physical realm. The word of faith completes the faith conception that take place in the spiritual realm of God with an answer in the physical realm of man.
Each believer can tap the power of God only through activating the word of faith. Faith-power is hidden in a word and a word must be spoken in order to release the power of it.
The word of faith is in your mouth and in your heart. The circuit of an electric appliance get powered only when the circuit gets closed by a switch. In the spiritual realm too, the word of faith acts as a switch and connects your mouth and heart, and thus gets the power of God to flow from the heavenly throne of God to the situations of life through you. You will become a resistor to the power of God without the word of faith. You will become a conductor to the power of God with the word of faith released through your mouth from your heart.
The Bible clearly says, "...Power belongs to God." (Psalm 62:11). Once you start to speak, the power of God will touch your situations of need. God is full of power and wants to release His supernatural power through the word of faith always. This is why Jesus challenges people by saying, "if you say [the word of faith] to this mountain" of problems that is standing before you "it will be done." (Matt 23:21). God himself stands as the gurantee to fullfill the word of faith that you speak through your mouth. This is a privilege only for a believer in Christ Jesus.
The question is, are you willing to be a conductor of the power of God. If your answer is YES, truly the word of faith will be powerful enough to touch all the areas of need in your life and will also start to bring the power of God to bring deliverance to many other people who are in need of it around you.
Never forget, "Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit." (Pro 18:21). In other words, start to speak by loving to release the word of faith through your tongue, which has the power of life or death that is residing in it. For those who speak the word of faith will experience the positive energy of God and those who speak the word of unbelief will experience the negative energy of the devil.
