Can the Holy Spirit be Melchizedek?

If Melchizedek is God the Father, How can the same Melchizedek be the Priest of the Most High God?

Question: If Melchizedek is God the Father, how can the same Melchizedek be the Priest of the Most High God?

If Melchizedek is God the Father, how the same Melchizedek is the Priest of the most high God. There must be a Priest for offering Christ Yahshua as an offering to God. 'How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God,' (Heb 9:14). (1) A Priest is there - Eternal Spirit - Ha Kathosh Ruah of YAHWEH (2) An offering is there - Christ Yahshua (3) Accepter of offering is there - God the Father.

Ha Kathosh Ruah rendering His office as High Priest at the crucifixion of Christ Yahshua on the cross of Golgotha. God the Father accepted the offering, therefore the crucified Christ resurrected from death by Ha Kathosh Ruah. Thereby the will and desire of God fullfilled.

If we read Heb 7th chapter, Melchizedek is having all the qualities sutable to Ha Kathosh Ruah. 'But made like unto the Son of God abideth a priest continually' (Heb 7:3), this signifies Melchizedek is not Son of God, like Son of God, that is none other than Ha Kathosh Ruah, the third Person in the Holy Trinity. He extend His office as High Priest, offer the Lamb of God on the alter and sprinkle the blood of the Lamb of God in the most holy place and brought forth great salvation (redemption, justification, atonement, adoption, sanctification and glorification) for mankind. Please read Vayikra(Liviticus) chapter 1 and 3.

A: You question is good. But the way you see it is wrong.

When Christ sacrificed Himself to God the Father who is the Melchizedek of the Bible and God, Christ had no High Priest  to offer His sacrifice because He came as a High Priest Himself (Heb 9:11). Christ offered Himself through the Holy Spirit who is also in the line of Melchizedek, but not Melchizedek Himself. Why? Because nowhere in the Bible, the Holy Spirit is compared to a High Priest. But the Holy Spirit acted as the Divine agent of Mechizedek and empowered Jesus to fullfill the redemption demand and price of the Father. The Holy Spirit cannot be a High Priest because Jesus said "And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Counselor [parakletos.Greek], to be with you for ever, even the Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him; you know him, for he dwells with you, and will be in you." (John 14:16-17 RSV)

Parakletos is used only five times in the New Testament, four times in this Gospel to refer to the Spirit (John 14:16, 26; 15:26; 16:7) and once in 1 John 2:1 to refer to Jesus. A parakletos is an advocate or a counselor or a comforter or an intercessor –– someone who comes in to help us through difficulty. Jesus refers to the Holy Spirit as "another parakletos," the implication being that Jesus is the parakletos and the Holy Spirit is the "another Comforter [parakletos]['allos' is the Greek word for 'another', it means "another like Himself," and not heteros "another of a different sort (Gal 1:6-7)."]. This shows that the Holy Spirit is one who is like Jesus and not the other way around.

When Jesus atoned with a sacrifice on behalf of all of us to God the Father (1 Tim 2:5-6), he Himself was the sacrifice that was offered. It is like symbolically pointing to Issac as a lamb represented by Jesus, offered Himself by God the Father representing Abraham (John 3:16), who then after death rose up and worshipped God as the High Priest in the likeness of Melchizedek (Heb 11:17-19). The Father God and His Son Jesus played a rehearsal through the life of Abraham and Isaac pointing to what they are going to do after nearly 2000 years later on the same mount of Calvary.

Because Jesus Himself was the sacrifice and also the High Priest, he had to wait for three days before He could take his blood to God the Father and offer it in the heavenly tabernacle to bring the new covenant in to effect (Heb 10:11-12; 9:23-24, 11-12; John 20:17). When Christ ascended in to Heaven, he took all the captivity of the OT saints as captive along with Him and entered heaven itself after sprinkling His blood to commemorate the New Covenant in the heavenly tabernacle, then he led them all in to heaven to be with him forever (Eph 4:8; Heb 2:9, 11, 14). The Father says to the Son "you are a priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek" (Heb 5:5-6). Only the Son can have all the priviledge to take on the Father's mantle (Gal 4:1-5). This naturally shows the line of Melchizedek.

Actually at the exact time of three hours of darkness when Jesus became sin for all of us (Matt 27:45-46; 2 Cor 5:21), Father forsook Jesus and refused to see Him on behalf of our sin upon Him (Isa 54:7-8; Hab 1:13). In other words, when Jesus as the High Priest of God in the likeness and line of Melchizedek offered Himself as the sacrifice, immediately he was forsaken because Jesus "through the eternal [Divine agent of the] Spirit offered Himself" (Heb 9:14) as the one ultimate sacrifice on behalf us humans and was accepted by the Father (Heb 10:12).

All these things prove that the Holy Spirit is not Melchizedek, but only God the Father is.
