The Power of Early Morning Praise

Plugging in to God's Power Early

By Abraham Israel

I believe that praising in the morning excites God and exhilarates us. Anything first that we give to God pleases Him, as a result you will find God's life of blessing and abundance on earth as it is in heaven (Matt 10:37). The first hours of our day should be given to God because He only is worthy of it.

The Psalmist David knew this secret from God's heart and have clearly expressed it saying, "In the morning, LORD, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly." (Ps 5:3). In this preceding verse David assures God that He will be communicating all His requests in the morning as usual, and based on his past experiences with God, he is saying to God that he will be expectantly waiting for an answer to all his requests as usual. It shows that whenever David gave to God first hours of the day in the morning, he was very much blessed with a blessing of an answered prayer always.

A.W. Tozer beautifully describes praise by saying, "In almost everything that touches our everyday life on earth, God is pleased when we're pleased. He wills that we be as free as birds to soar and sing our maker's praise without anxiety." Only in the morning our minds are fresh with out anxiety, free to soar as birds and sing like it sings praise, to our Maker.

Some of us would like to take the news paper to read in the morning first and be depressed with the depressive news that we see day in and day out. Those of us who are like this, will also speak all these kinds of dumb news to others and make them depressive too. Don't be like that, learn to make it a habit to praise God in the morning and live in the blessing zone of God's favour day in and day out.

The saints of old always longed to fellowship with God in the morning (Ps 55:17;59:16; 63:1). Praise is not a natural thing to comprehend easily with our finite mind, true praise comes from the recesses of our heart and it comes only when God gets pleased with us and as a result it opens our lips supernaturally. Suddenly our mouth shall show and flow forth with His high praises of God like a river (Ps 51:15; 149:6). Only when our soul gets satisfied in God's tangible fullness of His sweet Presence by experience, we can be able to say, "My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness, And my mouth shall praise You with joyful lips." (Ps 63:5). The joyful praise in our lips will be proportionately equal to our soul's satisfaction from God's goodness, and this joyful lips is a sign of our complete surrender and sacrifice of praise to our God through the fruit of our lips irrespective of the circumstances we are in and are going through (Heb 13:15). God is well pleased with us when we do it.

As much as we praise God in the morning, we glorify Him greatly (Ps 50:23). God expects us to pray and praise Him daily, most preferably in the morning and also through out the whole day (Ps 72:15; 150:6).

In the Old Testament times the Levites who were the priests in the temple were appointed to praise and give thanks to God early in the morning (1 Chron 23:27, 30), so that the whole nation of Israel could live under the favour and the blessing zone of God. In the same way, all the believers who are born-again as a child of God in the New Testament are called to be priests, so that by singing praises to God early in the morning all of our family, relatives, contacts could live under the favor and blessing zone of God (1 Peter 2:5, 9).

Smith Wigglesworth writes a master piece about praise by saying,

"The new man created in Christ is God's masterpiece, His poem (Ephesians 2:10) set to music - a song. Singing and making melody in your heart unto the Lord. Praise is God's sunlight in the heart. It destroys sin germs. It ripens the fruits of the Spirit. It is the oil of gladness that lubricates life's activities. There can be no holy life without it. It keeps the heart pure and the eye clear. Praise is essential to the knowledge of God and His will. The strength of a life is the strength of its song. When the pressure is heavy that is the time to sing. Pressure is permitted to strengthen the attitude and spirit of praise. It takes a man to sing in the dark when the storm and battle are raging, and it is such singing that makes the man!"

Seek the Lord early in the morning and sing praises to Him, because praise has the power to set your life on fire for God (Ps 63:1-2). Once you learn to sing praises to God, it becomes pleasant to experience its joy and beautiful to see its exhilarating effect through your soul's eyes (Ps 147:1; 149:3).

PRAISE TO GOD IN THE MORNING IS POWERFUL BECAUSE PRAISE IS NATURALLY SUPERNATURAL.

Praise - Honors God!
Praise - Undergirds faith!
Praise - Brings deliverance!
Praise - Is the voice of faith!
Praise - Is the language of heaven!
Praise - Sets the stage for God to move!
Praise - Releases the angels to minister!
Praise - Fuels joy, which is your strength!
Praise - Knocks down walls of resistance!
Praise - Stills the enemy and the avenger!
Praise - Dispels darkness and depression!
Praise - Must precede, not follow blessings!
Praise - Gives God the legal right to help you!
Praise - Brings the presence of God onto the scene!
Praise - Is a sure sign of acceptance of the Word of God!
Praise - Is the highway that faith moves its blessings down!
Praise - Is calling those things that be not as though they were

Never Forget Saints, PRAISE IS THE POWER OF HEAVEN

The succeeding song "Morning Has Broken" sung by Zsa Zsa Padilla and lyrics written by Eleanor Farjeon is a powerful  reminder to all of us of the importance of praising God early in the morning and also every passing day. We should praise God for the morning time first, so that we can start to have an intimate communion with Him. This is the reason the Bible says, "Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name." (Ps 100:4). Once we start to thank God for what God has done in our lives, we are entering in to His heavenly temple gates. But when we start to praise God for who He is, we are straight away entering in to the Holy place and the Holy of Holies in the heavenly temple where God resides. This is why praise enthrones God over us and makes us the true temple of God on earth as it is in heaven (Ps 22:3; 2 Cor 6:16; Matt 6:10).

When JESUS CHRIST walked on this earth, HE too went to talk to HIS FATHER IN HEAVEN rising early in the morning (Mark 1:35). This was the secret to the powerful God-life JESUS lived on planet earth. May it be our experience too.

ENJOY this beautiful song and make sure you see the succeeding lyrics. Sing along with it and especially praise God from the bottom of your heart when you see and hear this!!

Morning has broken, like the first morning
Blackbird has spoken, like the first bird
Praise for the singing, praise for the morning
Praise for the springing fresh from the word

Sweet the rain's new fall, sunlit from heaven
Like the first dewfall, on the first grass
Praise for the sweetness of the wet garden
Sprung in completeness where his feet pass

Mine is the sunlight, mine is the morning
Born of the one light, Eden saw play
Praise with elation, praise every morning
God's recreation of the new day
