What Does Isaiah 60 Speaks About?

Does Isaiah 60 Speaks About Jesus' Second Coming And His Millennial Rule?

Q : Please explain me Isaiah 60, when you have time. Thanks.

A : Greetings! Once Jesus comes at the time of Armageddon, he will destroy the enemies of God who will try to destroy the nation of Israel at that time and then will gather all the Jews from all the world and no one will be left out, no one will stay scattered in the world because of fear or lack of security inside the nation of Israel
(Matt 24:31; Rev 19:19-21). Isaiah 60 speaks mainly about the nation of Israel and how it shall prosper under the rule of our Messiah Jesus Christ. This chapter ends with a word and promise from God that the little number of people who will be left in this nation after the Great Tribulation will become a strong nation. From this point of time, Israel as a nation will never be replaced from being that strong nation.

Violence shall no longer be heard in the land of Israel, nor wasting and destruction of the precious lives of its citizens which is totally opposite to what we see inside the nation of Israel today. The Lord will be a everlasting light until the earth and the heavens are destroyed at the end of thousand year rule of the Messiah
(2 Peter 3:10-13). All Israel will become righteous because of believing in the sacrifice of the Messiah who died to forgive their sins (Zech 12:10). The nation which sought for physical prosperity in the past will now seek after spirituality under the Messiah. It will shine as a spiritual light to the whole light (Isa 60:1-3). All the world will bless Israel to have favor with the Messiah of the world who resides in it. Many nations will come and invest in the prosperous future of this nation to become strong. All the world will come bowing in respect towards the nation of Israel because in Jerusalem its capital city will reside the Messiah of the world, so it shall be called as "The City of the Lord" (Isa 60:14).

I believe that spiritually the Church and individual believer's alike can take these promises and live to be blessed through it because it is all
"yes and Amen" in Christ Jesus (2 Cor 1:20). One of my favorite promises is the following verse, "A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation. I, the LORD, will hasten it in its time.” (Isa 60:22). This guarantees that we who live by faith in the promises of God are positioned by God not only to be come a thousand but a strong nation IN HIS TIME as we pursue God with all our heart.

Blessings......
