Question: Jesus is God, but Jesus is not Jehovah. Period.
Everything under the sun and beyond it is put under Jesus’ feet, but God didn’t put Himself under Jesus’ feet. God still maintains His superiority, He makes sure Jesus is still His subject. And, God makes sure God is “all in all”.
One day in the future, when death is fully defeated, and all dominion, authority and power are destroyed, Jesus will hand over the kingdom to God the Father.
Jesus for now is always sitting on the right side of the throne of God, not on the throne of God.
Jesus is Christ in the New Testament. Jesus the wisdom in the Old Testament.
Now, pls explain your mind on 1 Corinthians 15:24-28.
“Then the end will come, when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power. For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. The last enemy to be destroyed is death. For he “has put everything under his feet.” Now when it says that “everything” has been put under him, it is clear that this does not include God himself, who put everything under Christ. When he has done this, then the Son himself will be made subject to him who put everything under him, so that God may be all in all.” (1 Cor 15:24-28).
Answer: Greetings to you in Jesus wonderful name!
Your statement, "Jesus is God, but Jesus is not Jehovah. Period.", is a statement that has no meaning at all. Do not speak gods of the world which are so many from the list of fallen angels, but when we speak about God, there is only one God according to all true Christians. Paul then speaks about one Lord Jesus Christ "through whom are all things", here you need to understand that when we speak about God the Father, automatically Jesus as the second person of the God head is the one next spoken as the Creator through whom came all things seen, unseen, etc (Col 1:15-17)...to tell us that "we [ourselves] live through" Jesus Christ (1 Cor 8:6). So in wisdom, the understanding about Trinity in the right context should be, that we cannot separately see the Father, apart from the Son and the Holy Spirit, except for the work they have done in redemption and all other things.
In other words, Father God is the CEO of the Trinity, CEO stands for Chief Executive Officer. CEOs are the highest-ranking executives at a company and are responsible for managing the company's operations and resources. They also make major corporate decisions and act as a liaison between the board of directors (Jesus Christ) and corporate operations (Holy Spirit).
Jesus is the Executive Manager and commander of the Trinity and speaks the spoken word, and all angels and everything obeys (John 1:1-5; Rom 4:17; Matt 8:8-9; Jos 5:14-15).
Holy Spirit is the Operations Executive within the Trinity who do the work of all things according to the plans and purposes of God (1 Cor 2:10-11; Job 26:13).
But if you ask who among the three is Jehovah the one God:
God The Father is the Jehovah,
God The Son is the Jehovah,
God The Holy Spirit is the Jehovah.
From the Bible they are one God in their Character of their essence, but based on their work they can be differentiated as three in person who have chosen a particular work to always work in unison to execute the one plan, purpose and will of God! This is what Trinity is!
Jehovah is a vocalization of the Tetragrammaton, which is considered one of the seven names of God in Judaism and a form of God's name in Christianity. The name arose among Christians in the Middle Ages through the combination of the consonants YHWH (JHVH) with the vowels of Adonai (“My Lord”).
Jehovah is a Latinized version of the Hebrew name for God, Yahweh. The name comes from the four Hebrew consonants YHWH, known as the Tetragrammaton. In ancient Hebrew writing, vowels were not recorded, but they were pronounced. The name was held so sacred that it was never written or spoken, and scholars are not sure exactly how it should be pronounced.
You say, "Everything under the sun and beyond it is put under Jesus’ feet, but God didn’t put Himself under Jesus’ feet. God still maintains His superiority, He makes sure Jesus is still His subject. And, God makes sure God is “all in all”."
The above statement is the most absurd one I must tell you because, you project as though there is a serious jealousy within Trinity, that the Father God being insecure, makes sure Jesus is still His subject, that Father God is “all in all”. The fables and stories of pagan gods fighting among themselves is only among the fallen angels. But God the Creator is a holy God, and He is love in perfection (1 John 4:16). They share a perfect love bonding of a union and sharing from the eternity past and will remain the same in the present and future too (John 17:23, 26). Love is never jealous (1 Cor 13:4-7), this is true God's love. So trying to project a God who is jealous against the very person within who work in unison, is not the true Jehovah but a pagan idea you are trying to bring in to the picture. Hallelujah!
Jesus took on the role of a bond servant to serve humanity on behalf of the Father God, so when all rebellion is subject to Christ and only the will of God is done, Jesus will submit all things to the Father and He himself will be subject to Him to continue to share His Love with humanity in the New Heaven and New Earth which will continue for eternity ahead (2 Pet 3:12-13; John 14:2-3).
Does this mean anything of a lesser degree of honor He receives apart from the Father or he becomes of a lesser God than the Father? In fact Christ will continue to enjoy sharing His life and everything He has and owns with humanity to reveal the Father to humanity for eternity (John 14:8-11; Rev 21:1-8; Matt 1:23).
The Holy Spirit being God, never ever chose to reveal himself in any way but to glorify Jesus and the Father in heaven. Jesus chose to glorify the Father and Father in turn glorified Jesus! So there is a perfect unity and unison within the Trinity. Christ and the Holy Spirit are consubstantial with the Father, which means of one and the same substance, essence, or nature, as it provides unity between the three persons in the Trinity.
There is no lesser or greater degrees within Trinity, all the three are co- eternal, co-existent and co-equal. Never they are in competition with one another because they are one in essence of their character, even though they are three in person (Matt 3:16-17; Matt 28:19-20; John 1:1-5, 32-33).
What is a “functional order or subordination?” It means that a Trinity member submits himself to one or both of the other members. But he is not inferior in God’s divine essence. “Subjection” and “subordination” do not mean inequality. The Son and Holy Spirit are equal in deity to the Father. But they chose to subordinate in their roles of their work to him (1 Cor. 15:28). For instance, the “Father” is “the first person of the Trinity.” His function role is superior to that of the Son and the Holy Spirit, that does not mean that the other persons are inferior in their ability of their attributes, but have chosen their roles in humility, love and submission toward each other (Heb 1:8, 5). The Father sent Jesus into the world (John 3:16; Gal. 4:4). The Son and Father sent the Spirit into the world (John 14:26; John 15:26; John 16:7). Therefore, “Subjection” and “subordination” do not mean inequality.
By the way you should not say being enthroned at the right hand doesn't mean He is on the throne, you don't even understand the simple concept of legal heir (John 10:32-33; Mark 2:7; Heb 1:2), when the heir enthrones (Php 2:9-11; Eph 1:20-21, 22-23), all powers from the throne shifts to the heir in command by the right of inheritance (Gal 4:7; Rom 8:17; Php 3:20-21; Heb 2:8-11), which means after enthronement the heir is the commander of the entire economy of the Kingdom of God (Joshua 5:13-15; Rev 19:16; 21:3). Praise the LORD!
The Son honors the Father by submitting all things to him (1 Cor 15:28; John 5:23), just as the Father honored his only begotten first born uncreated Son, by declaring from heaven saying, "This is my Son obey Him" (Matt 3:17; Luke 9:35-36) to all humans (Matt 6:10; 1 Cor 15:28; John 17:1; 5:23-24; 8:54).
Here are some facts of how Jesus Himself referred to Himself as that God of the Old Testament in the New Testament:
In the New Testament Jesus affirms His deity in many places. In His general teachings, He refers to Himself in the same way God is described in the Old Testament and does the same in twenty of His parables.

Jesus’ words never pass away (Mark 13:31)
The Sower (Matthew 13:3–9)
First and the Last (Revelation 1:17–18)
We can know that Jesus is God because of the following:
Jesus is called "God" in Scripture: (Acts 20:28, Jn 1:1, Jn 20:28, Titus 2:13, Heb 1:8, Isa 9:6, Lk 1:68, etc.)
God created the universe "by Himself" (Isa 44:24), and yet we know Jesus also created the universe (Jn 1:3,10; Heb 1:2; Heb 3:1-4; Heb 11:3; Col 1:13-17).
Only God is good (Mk 10:18, Rev 15:3,4), and yet Jesus is also good (Jn 8:29,46, Jn 10:11,14; Heb 4:15; 1 Pet 2:21,22; 1 Jn 3:5).
God is the only Savior (Isa 4:11), and yet Jesus is also the Savior (Lk 2:11, Jn 4:42, Titus 1:4, Heb 7:24,25; Acts 5:31; Eph 5:23; Tim 1:10; etc. etc.).
God is the only Redeemer (Isa 47:4), and yet Jesus is also the Redeemer (Gal 3:13, 4:4,5; Rom 3:24; Titus 2:13-15; Rev 5:8,9; 1 Peter 1:18,19).
God is King of kings and Lord of lords, and yet Jesus is also King of kings and Lord of lords (1 tim 6:14,15; Rev 17:14; Rev 19:11-16; Jude 1:4; Acts 10:36; Dan 7:13,14).
God is first and last (Isa 44:6, 48:12), but Jesus is also first and last (Rev 1:8,11; Rev 1:17,18; Rev 22:13-16).
Every knee will bow to God (Isa 45:23), and every knee will bow to Jesus (Phil 2:10,11).
God is the Judge of the whole world, and yet Jesus is also the Judge (Jn 5:22,23; Acts 10:38-43, 17:31; Rom 2:16; 2 Tim 4:1; Jude 1:14,15; Mt 25:31,32; Rev 20:11,12; 2 Cor 5:10; James 4:12).
God is "the Rock" (1 Sam 2:2), and yet Jesus is also "the Rock" (1 Cor 10:4, 1 Peter 2:4-8, Mt 21:38-44, Acts 4:10-11).
Only God can take away and forgive sins (Isa 43:25), and yet Jesus is the "Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world" (Jn 1:29, 1 Jn 3:5, Mk 2:5-10, Lk 7:44-49).
God will not share His glory with another (Isa 42:8, Isa 48:11), and yet God repeatedly glorifies Jesus (Jn 11:4, 13:31;Mt 16:27, 24:30, 25:31, Rev 5:12,13; 2 Peter 1:17, 3:18; Jn 5:23, Heb 2:9).
There is only one Lord, and God is Lord, and Jesus is repeatedly called "Lord" (Jn 12:26, 13:13; Mt 24:44-51, 25:14-23; Mk 13:34-37, 2:8, 12:29-34; Mt 4:10).
God sends prophets (Jer 35:15), but Jesus also sends prophets (Mt 23:34-37).
Only God is to be worshiped (Dt 6:13, 10:20,21; Ex 34:14; Mt 4:10; Rev 22:8,9), and yet Jesus often allowed Himself to be worshiped and the NT writers worshiped him (Mt 2:1,2,11, 14:33, 28:9,16,17; Jn 9:35-38; Heb 1:6; Lk 24:51,52; Rev 5:12,13; Mt 15:25-28; Mt 21:15,16).
Only God is eternal (Ps 90:2), and yet Jesus is also eternal (Micah 5:2).
God is coming and His reward is with Him (Isa 40:10), and Jesus is also coming and His reward is with Him (Phil 2:10,11).
Jesus is the Word of God, and the Word of God is God (John 1:1).
Jesus is NOT His own Father and Jesus is NOT the Holy Spirit, but all three are God, and there is only one God, so that means the ONE God exists as three distinct (but not separate) Persons. The name we give to that is "the Trinity".
Basically from Genesis to Revelation you can see the Trinity emphadized over and over again. Trinity is one of the most powerful truths Bible reveals, which is One God in essence of their Character, but three in person but never seperate from one another in their spiritual relational identity of their essence.
Josh McDowell in his book, The Trial of Jesus of Nazareth explained in this way, "Jesus answered 3 questions; taking a different form in each of the synoptics but all equal in meaning. That He was deity!
An analysis of his testimony will bear this out. His testimony affirmed that;
1) He was the son of the blessed.
2) He was the one who would sit at the right hand of power.
3) He was the Son of Man who would come on the clouds of heaven.
He was condemned by His own confession of His identity under oath. He claimed that He was God!"
He was a "only Begotten" (John 3:16), that is, 'monogene' in Greek, the one of a kind...which means saying the Son of God describes that He was God in the flesh, that is why He was killed by the Jews who understood it rightly unlike our times.
Here are the Scriptures in context that you wanted me to expound, 1 Cor 15:21-28 - "21 For since by man came death, by Man also came the resurrection of the dead. 22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive. 23 But each one in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, afterward those who are Christ’s at His coming. 24 Then comes the end, when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power. 25 For He must reign till He has put all enemies under His feet. 26 The last enemy that will be destroyed is death. 27 For “He has put all things under His feet.” But when He says “all things are put under Him,” it is evident that He who put all things under Him is excepted. 28 Now when all things are made subject to Him, then the Son Himself will also be subject to Him who put all things under Him, that God may be all in all."
The very opening context of the whole chunk of Scriptures starts with the life and death of human in Adam our forefather who sinned and compares it with the perfect humanity of Jesus Christ to reveal how the "resurrection of the dead" was made possible because in Christ Jesus all who believe in him will be very soon one of the coming days will be resurrected in their glorious body (John 11:25, 26; 1 Thess 4:16, 17; Php 3:21).
Here is the most important thing to notice, each in his own order, "Christ the firstfruits", the first order of resurrection took place when Jesus died and then rose again on the third day, all the Old Testament saints without the martyrs were all resurrected back and was seen by many during those days (Matt 27:52-53). But the second order of resurrection will take place at the time of Jesus coming for His Church after the abomination of desolation, in which the rapture of the Church will take place (1 Thess 5:10; 1:10; Rom 2:7; 5:9; Heb 9:28; 1 John 2:28; Col 3:4, 6; 2 Thess 2:3, 4). Once Christ comes for His own, then He will come to rule the earth for a thousand years time along with the Church who will do it from the New Heaven and New Earth in which they are all settled in their glorious body. Hallelujah!
When the end comes in which the Millenium ends, Satan will be let loose from his prison for a short time in which he will go to and fro to convince the kings of the earth to come fight the final battle with Christ and the saints in the city of present Jerusalem in which the Lord from on high will pour out his wrath of fire and will burn the whole present earth and heaven as all the believers will be resurrected in the second resurrection implied in which they will be directly be taken to the new heaven and new earth to settle them with the Church (2 Peter 3:10-13; Rev 20:7-10). Glory!
Here is the key to what Jesus submitting to the Father means, "He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power", so that there will no more be any rebellion but only perfect peace and worship in the new heaven and new earth which will be the only existing world after the Millennium and the judgment of the angels and unbelievers at the White throne of Jesus Christ (Rev 20:11-15).
In other words, Jesus dealing with evil of this world and overcoming it has been done at that time, once and forever. So in God's economy the reigning of Jesus was a temporal one in which the root of evil, sin and Satan has been dealt with once and forever. Hallelujah!
Now that all things work according to the will of God, He who put all things under Jesus feet was the Father who now is honored by the Son who subjects Himself to the Father to perfectly finish the assignment he had taken from the Father (John 17:1), that is redemption of all humans. Because there is no more a redemption work in all the world of God, as all has been done and dusted spiritually forever in His Glory already, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit will reign as the One and only God in essence of their character, but all in all three in person of their person-hood! The character attributes of God include eternal, infinite, omnipotent, omnipresent, and omniscient, etc...the person-hood is the quality and condition of being an individual.
Person-hood is having intellect, emotions, and a will. All three members of the Trinity have these characteristics. So all three members of the Trinity have unique person-hood.
Eternity will reveal one God to the saints (1 Cor 8:6; 1 Cor 12:3; 1:9), through Jesus who will be with them in the new heaven and new earth as Emmanuel (Matt 1:23). Holy Spirit as usual will continue in the work of a executive in speaking the voice of God to the saints, He will be the glory of God in all of New Jerusalem which will be connected to the new heaven and new earth intricately (Rev 22:17; 21:1-2, 23, 26). And Father revealing His love to all of them when they are all given access to visit the New Jerusalem and worship Him in spirit and in truth, which is always what He desired from humans and angels voluntarily without coercion, by their free will (John 3:16; 4:23-24)!
The round table discussion that took place in eternity past between the Trinity before the foundation of the world has been fulfilled by that time in purpose, will and in eternal dimension of the plan of God for both humans and angels (Eph 1:4), and therefore God is the one who will be all in all after this forever more.
Yes, "One day in the future, when death is fully defeated, and all dominion, authority and power are destroyed, Jesus will hand over the kingdom to God the Father," because once and for all time Jesus will have no more need to face any evil, and God the Jehovah ((i.e.) the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit (Matt 28:19)) will remain all in all!
Jesus for now and always forever will be sitting on the right hand of the throne of God, in the throne prepared for Him by the Father where He is enthroned with, because it will exist eternally for the Glory of God to be revealed through Him (Mark 14:62; Eph 1:19-20, 21-22, 23; Heb 1:8-9).
Jesus is Christ in the New Testament, because only 2000 years ago He incarnated to become the Messiah the anointed One (Luke 4:17-18; Acts 10:38). Jesus the wisdom not only in the Old Testament, but also in the New Testament where He has become wisdom for us within salvation we have inherited as a gift from God (Prov 4:1-27; 1 Cor 1:30).
When God's project in his economy gets established, only God will remain as the one and only unchangeable God of the whole creation to be worshiped, served and revered for eternity by his subjects who are the creations which He has created for Himself and His Glory.
Glory to God!
Much Blessings....
