Health and Healing is in the Atonement!

Health and Healing is in the Atonement

The Blood

The Body [the stripes of Jesus Christ]

1)

The Blood gives us protection from diseases and good health because of its
[body’s] close connection to the soul (1 Peter 2:24; Exodus 12:7, 12-13).

The broken Body of Jesus Christ provides healing to our deteriorating body
(Exodus 12:8, 11; Ps 105:37; Matthew 8:16-17; John 6:57-58).

2)

The Blood was shed for the forgiveness of our sins
(1 Cor 11:25; John 6:53-56).

The Body was broken for our healing
(1 Cor 11:24; 1 Peter 2:24).

3)

In the Blood is the
[soulish] life of the person (Lev 17:14).

The Body contains or supports the life which is in it to prolong it in this earth
(Gen 9:5, 6; Heb 10:5, 7; John 19:33, 34).

4)

The Blood should be applied over
(1 John 1:7, 9).

The Body should be eaten roasted in the fire of the Spirit
(Exodus 12:9).

5)

The Blood hits the root of all curses
[the sin factor] (Rom 5:12).

The Body deals with the effects of the curses
[the sickness factor] (Rom 6:23; 2 Kings 5:25-27).

6)

The Blood of Jesus has made atonement for our soul
(Leviticus 17:11).

The Body of Jesus had made atonement for our Body
(2 Chronicles 30:18-20).

7)

Drink the Blood of Jesus Christ as often as you can by releasing your faith tangibly and thus proclaiming
[announce it officially and publicly] the Lord’s death for your soul till He comes (1 Corinthians 11:26).

Eat the Body of Jesus Christ as often as you can by releasing your faith tangibly and thus proclaiming
[announce it officially and publicly] the Lord’s death for your body till He comes (1 Corinthians 11:26).

8)

The glory of His presence is felt in the soul because of the atonement of His Blood
(Jude 1:24; Lev 23:27-32; Isaiah 53:10; Ps 26:8; 65:3; 79:9).

The power of His healing presence is experienced and felt in your body because of the atonement of His Body
(Acts 1:8; 2 Thess 1:9; Job 1:12; John 7:39; Rom 8:30). From the glory of His power, He can supply His power without the glory of His presence for the accomplishment of a particular task through any one (1 Chronicles 29:11; Ps 63:2).

9)

The origin of sin is from our heart
(Mark 7:14-23; Isaiah 26:9).

The origin of sickness starts from our body
(1 Tim 5:23). This is why Paul said to Timothy his son in Christ to take medicine to keep his body in good health.

10)

The soul is influenced inside out
(Matt 15:17-20; Prov 4:23; Matt 6:21). The Blood of Jesus protects you from this demonic soulish influence.

The Body is influenced from the outside in
[i.e. from the environment] (Ps 91:10). The Healing power of the broken Body of Jesus Christ gives you protection from these plagues and diseases.

11)

Sin is the destroyer of the soul
(1 Peter 2:11; James 1:14, 15).

Sickness is the destroyer of the body
(Isaiah 38:1; Phil 2:27, 30).

12)

God’s ways are known to us only by experiencing the glory of His presence in our soul
(Exod 33:13, 14; Ps 103:7; 105:43; 1 Peter 1:8-10).

God’s acts are known to us through the power of His presence experienced in our body
[tangibly by our five senses] (Ps 103:7; 105:37; Deut 6:21, 22; Ps 105:26-27).

13)

Only God has the power to kill the soul and the body in hell
(Matt 10:28).

Satan has only power to kill the body using people and demons as his instrument
(Matt 10:28; Luke 13:11).

14)

The soul needs restoration of joy when it is pressured and distressed and it is restored only through faith in the atoning Blood of Jesus Christ
(Ps 23:3; 65:3; 51:12-13; 86:4; 41:4; 147:3).

The body needs restoration of health when it is sick and diseased, so that it can continue to live and not see death and it is restored only through faith in the broken Body of Jesus Christ
(Ps 41:3, 8; Mal 4:2; Matthew 8:16-17; 1 Peter 2:24).

15)

Without experiencing the glory of God through the Blood of Jesus, no one can enter heaven
(John 3:5; 17:22-23; Rom 8:17).

Without experiencing the power of God we can enter heaven
(Acts 1:8). But without the power you will fail to be a powerful witness to the world.

16)

The Blood cleanses our soul from all sins (Heb 9:14; 1 John 1:9).

The Broken Body [of Jesus Christ] Heals us from all sicknesses and diseases (I Peter 2:24; Ps 103:3).

Some Christians in the 1st Century who did not understand about the healing power that is released by faith in the broken body of Jesus Christ during the communion were sick and some even died in the Church prematurely. They did not discern [recognize] the Lord’s body and because of this lack of discernment, many were sick and many died physically (1 Cor 11:27-33). Due to lack of discernment, they did not have proper respect and reverence for the communion and were partaking the communion more as a ritual with strife and contention. They were not waiting for others to join in the communion and were taking the bread more as a meal to be eaten (1 Cor 11:33, 34). This type of attitude in itself is sinful, hence Apostle Paul was exhorting the believers to examine themselves according to the standard of the word of God so that after knowing fully the significance and meaning of the communion, the believers will be able to eat this bread and drink this cup of the Lord to receive its benefits.

Here Paul is not asking the believers to sympathize for the Lord, rather he is telling them to understand its significance [“… remembrance of Me” (1 Cor 11:24-25)] and then partake of it. Because of the lack of discernment and judgment in the lives of believers, they were having sickness and death as a chastening by the Lord so that the believers will not be condemned with the World in the future (1 Cor 11:31-32). Hence it proves that sickness and premature death is not only a curse, but also a type of chastening that can be avoided, when we have discernment and self judgment through the communion of the Lord’s body and blood.

The glory and the power of God are not the same but come from the same source
(Ps 63:2; 145:11). The glory is the character person of God Himself and the ways with which He acts (Job 26:14), but the power is the strength that He uses to accomplish things (Eccl 8:4). Just like you are filled with the power of God [i.e. Gifts of the Spirit (1 Cor 12:4-11)], you can be filled with the glory of God [i.e. fruit of the Spirit (Gal 5:22-23)] too (Micah 3:8; Ps 71:8; 2 Chronicles 5:14).
