Could We As Believers In Christ Jesus Tell To Other Humans, 'Go And Sin No More...?'
Question : Could we as believers in Christ Jesus tell to other humans, 'Go and Sin no more...?' I believe that because Jesus said, "whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do..." (John 14:12), we should also like Jesus lay hands on the hick to heal them with the power of God and also tell to those receive the miraculous touch of the Lord to go and sin no more. Jesus Christ gave us that authority 2000 years ago it's just that today's Christians unlike Peter and Paul and the others are lazy and faithless. In Matthew 28 the great commission says it all. Also we know Peter the apostle raised Tabitha literally from the dead (Acts 9:36-42). What do you think about this issue?

Jesus could say 'Go and sin no more,' because Jesus was the Messiah who not only forgave people's sin but also gave them the power to overcome the sin habit itself by breaking the yoke of that sinful habit which was oppressing upon their lives. We could not say like Jesus said, because we do not have the power to give people victory over sin like Jesus, but we can point them to Jesus and give them a assurance that they will overcome sin habit if they follow Jesus with faith. Some times Jesus delivers people from bondage instantly when they get saved, still others struggle over some pet sin or besetting sin over a long period of time even after they are born-again, after which someday Jesus removes it from them completely seeing their sincere desire and faith for sanctification. But the good news for all people is, 'If Jesus sets them free from sin of any kind by pronouncing over their lives, indeed they will be free forever." (John 8:36). So our good news message to people who are struggling with sin is, first be saved from sin by believing Jesus as your Lord and Savior to be saved and safe for eternity ahead to have a assured place with God as his friend in heaven (John 6:39-40; 14:1-3), and then keep fighting sin in Jesus name until sin is killed in thee, lest not you taking sin seriously lest it not kill thee thine abundant life of God on earth and its reward for eternity ahead (John 10:10).
Yes Jesus healed the sick always, but He did not always say to them, 'sin no more' when he sent them away except two times, the first one when a man was invalid lying near the pool of Bethesda who was clearly sick because of sin that brought it and the other time was when the woman who was caught in adultery had spiritual sickness in her soul that brought her near to being stoned to public death (John 5:14; 8:11), in both the instance Jesus clearly understood that they were suffering in their lives because of sin's wages and told them like that because He could give them the power to live a overcoming life over sin. In saying, “Go and sin no more,” in both the cases Jesus was not speaking of sinless perfection as no human could live sinlessly perfect except Jesus who lived for us (Eccl 7:20; Rom 3:23; 1 John 1:8, 10). He was warning against a return to sinful lifestyle choices by continuing to depend on Him to live an overcoming life.

But we can preach to people that we are saved by the blood of Jesus and tell them about the GOOD NEWS of salvation that leads to freedom from sin to receive eternal life of relationship with God Almighty as His best friend for eternity ahead (John 14:12). Preaching the gospel through personal experience will make us exercise the power to forgive the sins of people by the empowerment of the Holy Spirit working through us to help people experience forgiveness of sins by the words of supernatural wisdom and knowledge that God sends or speaks through our mouth, which will make people experience supernatural freedom and deliverance from sins (John 20:21-23; 1 Cor 12:7-11, 28-31; Isa 55:11; Matt 4:4). Now within the Church, the gifts of manifestation the Spirit are specialized and distributed according to the will of the Holy Spirit, who works differently through each one's gift that Jesus has given them (Eph 4:11-12; Rom 12:3-8; 1 Cor 12:6-7, 11). So no one human can do all Jesus did in quality in signs, wonders and miracles as our Chief Apostle along with forgiveness of sins in many cases that He gave to people out of His own will (Mark 2:10; Matt 9:6; Luke 5:24; Heb 3:1; 2:3-4; 2 Cor 12:12; Acts 10:38). But we as Christ's representative and delegates could do greater things in quantity and not quality because of the larger amount of time we have been given by God the Father to preach the Gospel and teach the Word of God, Jesus was one man who I believe have walked in all the callings and giftings and anointings together in one as he was sinlessly perfect and thirsted for God's righteousness to be fulfilled more than any other human born on earth till now (Heb 1:9; John 3:34; Luke 4:17-21), Jesus did all things in great quality that all who came for healing were healed without fail in spite of being pushed with in the time frame of a limited three and half years ministry on earth and that too only within the nation of Israel which the Father God had given Him as his boundary (Matt 8:16; 9:35; 14:36; 15:24; Mark 3:10; 6:56; Luke 6:19). So within the context we should take the meaning of John 14:12 practically.
Of course you are right in one way dear Brother, but in another way, the quantity of the miracles that are being done is very much higher than in the apostolic 1st century times, but the quality of it is very less in our times than what it was. Of course we should catch up with it and I believe such quality miracles will happen in our times as the Church becomes as One Glorious Church in Christ which will be without divisions in these end times (Eph 5:26-27), and also notable quality miracles will happen because God is quickening the Church again and challenging it for greater quality miracles which are notable and undeniable to be done for the Glory of God and thus preach the Gospel with clear signs, wonders and miracles to challenge the people of our times to be saved for eternity ahead by receiving Jesus as their Lord and Savior!
It should be the goal of every Christian to “sin no more,” although we cannot always stay in that ideal but recognize that while we are in the flesh, we will still stumble practically because of sin nature that still exist in us (1 John 1:8; Rom 7:17-19). God’s desire for each of us is to be holy as He is holy which is the ideal God wants us to have in our mind by faith (1 Peter 1:16). We still sin by unbelief, but sin is no longer is a lifestyle choice but out of compulsion from sin nature which takes over our spirit sometimes and fulfills its desire through our flesh, thus at that time we give in by its tyranny and it is because of our own weakness of the flesh that we have inherited from our forefather Adam (1 John 3:9–10). When we fail, we can and do come to God humbly as soon as possible and ask forgiveness to be cleaned once again to stay clean and pure in God's sight to have continual fellowship with Him (1 John 1:9; 1 Peter 4:1–2). Sin cannot throw away our right to have eternal fellowship or in other words our union with God (John 10:28), but surely it takes away the our consciousness of God's Presence that actually cannot co-exist with sin because of God's holiness and so we need to confess our sins and be again covered with the blood of Jesus to have intimate fellowship with God again (Rev 12:11). Though our sins of the past, present and future are once and for all time forgiven by God (Col 3:13; Heb 10:11-18), yet because of our free will, we need to come again to take a choice to line up with God by coming against sin and agreeing with God to confess to God that sin is still a sin that God hates and we hate it too as His dear children (1 John 2:1-2). And because we are truly God’s children, God will correct us, disciplining us whenever we need it to be conformed to the ideal by the renewing of our mind to hold that faith so that we can stay practically out of the pit of sin always overcoming its power over us (Hebrews 12:6–11; Rom 12:2; 6:14). Many times we fail by sin because God wants His work of conforming us to the image of His Son through humbling us, so that we can be able to stay in our spirit and deny the strength of our flesh that leads to more sin and lawlessness (Romans 8:29; Mark 14:38; James 4:7-10; Gal 5:16-18; 6:8; Rom 13:14; 1 John 3:4).
