Is Calvinism Or Arminianism True To The Bible?
Question : Is Calvinism Or Arminianism true to the Bible? Any insight into this dilemma?
Answer : In a nutshell, Calvinists believe that you didn’t choose to be saved, God chose to save you. And since He chose you, you can’t lose your salvation.
Arminians believe that anyone can choose to be saved, but since salvation is our choice we can, by our bad decision or wrong behavior, we can lose our salvation.
How do we know which is actually true as each school of thought have their elaborate reinterpretation to suit their belief in the process?
What does Bible actually say and where it stands?
The Bible does not support neither Calvinism nor Arminianism, rather the Bible says that Jesus died for the sins of the whole world (John 1:29), so that whoever chooses to believe Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior will never perish (John 3:16; Matt 7:7-8), because from the time we believe Jesus, God takes responsibility and care for keeping us saved for eternity ahead by His Power supernaturally until we will rise up one day in our glorious eternal bodies (2 Cor 1:21-22; Eph 1:13-14; Rom 8:38).
The true Biblicalism of salvation as proclaimed by both Jesus and the founding apostles had no doubt at all in the entire Bible about the permanency of salvation, because they always believed that God's sovereign choice will get invoked to fulfillment in salvation only when man chooses what God has provided, then they believed that once man chooses what God provided for salvation in Christ Jesus, God takes over their lives to keep them in His way, truth and the life through what Jesus has completed for them to be kept safe for eternity ahead (John 14:6; 10:27-30; 19:30). Jesus said to his disciples that they knew the way to heaven except one man who was not saved which was Judas Iscariot (John 14:4; 17:12), so all believers once saved know the way to heaven in Jesus and there is no doubt about it. Hence the Bible's stance is actually, Once saved [you are] always saved OSAS.
Much Blessings....
