Is Krishna The Same God As Jesus Christ?
Question : I would like to ask you another question, and I think maybe you might know a lot about this because you live in India. Somebody in the street has handed me a book about "Krishna Consciousness", the name Krishna immediately made me think about "Christ". I had a look at the book, and realized that it is quite difficult to understand, and very different from the Bible. Is Krishna the same God as Jesus Christ?
Answer : Greetings in Jesus mighty name! One time I was traveling in a train in India, and I found some westerners taking these books and tracts and distributing to all local people in the train who were amazed to see them do that. I tried to talk with one of them and started to share the gospel with him, but sadly I found that he was in a state of deception to have accepted the lie that krishna which is a local pagan deity of India to be Christ.
I personally believe that in the end times God Himself is sending these delusions to all those who do not believe and receive the truth, nor have the love of the truth within them to be saved (2 Thess 2:10-12). So these cults are actually Hindu cults who come to western shores to beguile those who do not stand on the truth and raise up donations to build huge meditation centers which are called as Ashrams. In short it is a place of religious retreat in its depth, but such places are many times used by counterfeit Swami-ji's [i.e. holy god-man] who claim themselves as god by doing some false signs and lying wonders to deceive many multitudes with their false pretense, they also practice traditional yoga which is a demonic spirit controlled activity as it goes further up, then in many places sexual orgies and idol worship goes hand in hand, and then they are used as meditation and chanting centers for Sanskrit mantra to deceive people who cannot understand it. I do not say that there are no good humans there, of course some good humans are there who try to help poor people by distributing food and use such places to quieten their consciences that cry out for the eternal true God. But God of all heavens and the earth who rules the universe, does not allow good people in to heaven but only perfect people who are clothed in His own perfect righteousness that He has distributed through His Son Jesus Christ (Matt 22:10-14).
Apostle John said, "Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour." (1 John 2:18). In the hare krisna website they say, 'If one loves krishna, he must love Lord Jesus also. And if one perfectly loves Jesus he must love krishna too.' What a deception? Here first they deceitfully equate krishna to Jesus Christ and then deceive people to make them be deceived to accept their so called deity to be equal to Jesus. These are subtle tricks that many different religious people use to deceive Christians who do not know Jesus Christ in their heart personally and those who do not stand on the truth or love it. Can any so called deity in all the world can ever be equated to our Lord Jesus, by no means, by His own claim He stands apart saying that He is the only way, the truth and the life (John 14:6). Jesus Christ of the Bible is the only God-Man to ever live on this earth, He was fully God and fully Man who have become the only God appointed Mediator between humans and God (1 Tim 2:5). God has only one sinless Son to die on the Cross for the benefits of others, but He has many sons to carry the cross that He has given to carry for their own benefit of becoming like Him (1 Peter 2:24; Rom 4:25; Luke 9:23; 1 Tim 6:6; 2 Peter 1:3-4).
Apostle Paul said even if there are so many so called gods or god, "6 yet for us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we for Him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and through whom we live. 7 However, there is not in everyone that knowledge; for some, with consciousness of the idol, until now eat it as a thing offered to an idol; and their conscience, being weak, is defiled." (1 Cor 8:6-7). This shows that anyone who try to equate their gods or god to that of the eternal Deity of Jesus Christ must be rejected, because they who do it are doing it deceitfully to defile them who are not fully grounded on the truth of Jesus Christ or because of their own weak conscience which have not fully understood the truth to stand on it. The consciousness of mind that does not focus on the truth of Jesus Christ as the only begotten Son of our Father God in heaven through whom we all become His children, is only a consciousness of the idol and the spirit of Anti-Christ which are physically working through people or spiritually in one's mind that defiles the conscience itself. The uncluttered conscience is actually the lamp of the Lord for all humans according to the Bible if it is kept clean with the light of the truth without getting darkened by lies of the evil one (Prov 20:27; 1 John 4:3; 2:23).
Jesus is the only person in the entire world who said, "23 ...“If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. 24 He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father’s who sent Me." (John 14:23-24). In other words, keeping the words and the teachings of Jesus will make God the Father who is in heaven to love the person who keeps it because Jesus claims that He and The Father in their omnipresence will come and make their presence with the one who keeps His Word because the very words that He spoke are the Words of the Father God in heaven. Jesus is the only one who accepted the love and worship of all humans because He was God and is God and forever will be God according to His own claim (Rev 1:8). According to Jesus' own words itself, he never equated himself to any god other than the One who is in Heaven who rules the whole Universe because they are one in essence even though three in persons (Matt 28:19-20), so any person who equates any other so called deity or god to be equal to Jesus or the same, their doctrine must be considered as counterfeit and immediately be rejected by those who follow the God of the Bible. Those who are not with Jesus are actually working against Him and are telling with their rejection of Jesus that His claims of exclusiveness to be the only available way to reach God and His insistence to accept Himself as the only Deity in human form to be false (Matt 12:30; Luke 11:23), so narrow is the way of faith in Jesus and broad is the way that says there are many ways to reach God (Matt 7:13-14). So choose the right way that Jesus teaches and claims exclusively to be the only truth and believe it all the days of your life to be in the right track to enjoy the abundant life of Jesus and receive the reward for your life of faith in the after life which will stay with you for eternity ahead (John 10:10; 1 John 5:13)!
