Answer : Greetings to you in Jesus wonderful name! This is a very nice question you have asked. First of all we need to see what is mean by 'tongues'? "Glossolalia" is the most commonly accepted term for speaking in tongues. It comes from the Greek words meaning "tongues" or "languages," and "to speak." The Greek word translated tongues literally means “languages.” Tongues are supernatural languages which the Holy Spirit gives in utterance to all those who speak it out of their own choice by faith (Acts 2:4), intelligible sometimes when it is a message from God to the Church that comes with interpretation of tongues accompanying it or some times unintelligible to speakers but intelligible to those unsaved humans who hear it (1 Cor 14:5, 19, 22; Acts 2:5-12, 13), and also unintelligible to the hearers on earth at other times when it is a mysterious personal prayer towards God which people receive as the initial evidence of the baptism in the Holy Spirit which continues with them to empower them to pray and intercede to God and with God intimately by faith for the rest of their lifetime on earth (1 Cor 14:2).
There are three different Types of Tongues mentioned in the Bible
a) Tongues of Men — These are tongues that are given as a message to the unbelievers to hear and be marveled to know that men who speak to them do not know their language naturally but yet speak to them to show them a sign from God to turn to God and repent from their sins to live and serve God through Jesus (1 Cor 14:22; Isa 28:11-12).
b) Personal Tongues to God — This type of tongues is unintelligible to human who hear it because it is a prayer produced by the Holy Spirit for people to pray personally to God who only understands them, the prayer prayed in tongues even the devil and his demonic cohorts cannot understand it because God encrypts it from them for secrecy and mysteries of His purpose and will to be accomplished in His time (1 Cor 14:2).This type of speaking in tongues comes as a gift from God to all the believers as a initial evidence of the baptism in the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:4; 11:15-18; 10:45-46; Romans 8:26).
What does speaking in tongues do to us personally? The Bible says, "He who speaks in tongues edifies himself" (1 Cor 14:4). The word "edify" means to "build up" or "charge up"--much like charging up a battery or building up a building so that more space for residence and occupation can be provided. When we are drained of spiritual power, that is when tongues recharges us with strength and vitality to carry on in the purpose of God. When we regularly pray in tongues personally to God, we are day by day building a better and a larger building of God's temple to make His glory reside in us more and more. God holds us equally who are His children, but how big our spiritual man is through our regular prayer of tongues with which we have built a spiritual building for God to reside in us will decide how much of God we will be able to hold in our lives personally (Jer 23:24; Acts 2:4).
c) Tongues of Angels — These are tongues that are used in spiritual warfare prayer where what the believer speaks may not be understood by himself or any humans, but could be a authoritative command against the evil angels to line up to the will of God which they will understand and run in terror (1 Cor 13:1; James 1:19, 20). In other words, because we are the temple of God in which the Holy Spirit God dwells in us (1 Cor 3:16; Acts 5:3-4), from within our body He could command the army of the Lord which comprises of all angels which are actually made to serve Him and those who inherit the salvation of the Lord as his dear children (Psa 103:20-21; 148:2; Heb 1:14). Regarding the angels, the Bible says, "God sends his angels who are his servants like the winds in their speed and like flames of fire in their power." (Heb 1:7, Paraphrased).
So coming to your question, my answer is, yes there is a type of tongues that the good angels and evil angles understand. Since they are spirits around us, we might not only have no understanding about the tongues of Angels we speak to but also we will not be able to see them to whom we speak with our natural eyes as we walk by faith and not by sight (2 Cor 5:7), but when those tongues come in authority (Luke 10:19-20), we can at least understand that it is a tongue of angels that the Lord is using us to speak to them directly.
The bottom line is when God the Holy Spirit chooses to use the Tongues of Angels during our prayer of intercession or when we are praying in personal tongues to God, immediately there will come a 'warfare tongues' or tongues spoken with great authority which will change and charge the spiritual climate of the areas where we are praying or even has the potential to affect and alter the spiritual climate of the whole world (Acts 19:11-20; 17:6; 1 Cor 14:18).
Of course demons respond to the tongues of Angels and by speaking in tongues we can drive out demons, having said the above, though we as the children of God are all entitled to it and can earnestly desire for this gift (1 Cor 12:31; 14:1, 39), I can also surely say that like the gifts of different kinds of tongues and interpretation of tongues that God gives certain people who desire and also uses them to speak His message within the Church to each one as He wills, and also uses some others of them to speak a message of God to the unbelievers as a sign, so also He uses still many other in the whole Church to be used supernaturally by the power of the Holy Spirit according to their sincere wish and desires to speak the tongues of Angels and command them as He wills (1 Cor 13:1; 12:10, 11). So we must desire for this gift of speaking in tongues of Angels which will bring terror to the evil angels to make them flee in all direction when God arises upon us and through us in power and authority of His voice through us (Psa 68:1). All these demons usually come against humans only to steal, kill and destroy (John 10:10; Luke 8:2).
God has promised to empower the Church in such a way to make all see now the manifold wisdom and mystery of our fellowship with God to be revealed by the Church to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places according to His eternal purposes, which He accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord in which we have boldness and access with confidence through faith in Him to not only desire but freely flow in the tongues of Angels when God chooses to use us and glorify God in all things which He has planned for us already (Eph 3:9-12).
Having said all these things, driving of demons is very simple to all believer who believes, if they see a particular pattern of affliction, in the language they understand, they can command and classify it using the type of oppression that the demons produce which is the nature of those demons, and demand or speak to the demons to leave the body in themselves or in others in the name and authority of Jesus name (Mark 16:17-18; Luke 10:17, 19). For example, if a demons produces lust or hate and oppresses themselves or others, say to it in the authority of Jesus, "In the name of Jesus I command you spirit of lust to leave right now in Jesus name! In the name of Jesus I command you spirit of hate to leave right now in Jesus name!" They will leave and obey because they are subject to you in the name of Jesus which carries God's supreme authority when you use it as His children. Demon driving or exorcism is a sign gift that is given as a privilege of God to all believers who believe and demonstrate the gospel of the Kingdom of heaven to all people and spirits around them. So use the power of the name of Jesus wisely and easily being in close relationship with Jesus and being filled by the Spirit of God to easily and effortlessly do it (Matt 12:28, 27; Acts 19:13, 14-16). I believe the power of the exorcism of Jesus was far superior to all others because He drove demons with the tongues of angels too, that is why in one simple command they fled in all directions leaving the occupied bodies of people and also he did not allow the demons to speak further in many cases because He didn't want them to reveal to all unsaved humans his true eternal identity as God's eternal Son who existed forever in the past and who created the whole world with the Word of His Power (Matt 8:16; Luke 4:41; Mark 1:34, 24-25, 27; Matt 8:29; Heb 1:3; Col 1:17).
Demon driving is the direct confrontation of the victorious power of the Church of Jesus Christ and the Kingdom of God over the defeated and useless power of the kingdom of Satan, so always the devil will try to deny the truth and not show it before the world of people. But all believers must arise in faith and demonstrate it against all evil spirits by driving it out before all people to make Him know and glorify God to make them accept his Kingdom and become its subjects in their lives too. Keep interceding to God in your personal tongues, automatically God will start to use you with the tongues of angels as time passes on to intercede and bring a change and influence you to change the moral and spiritual climate locally, nationally and internationally too (1 Tim 2:1; 1 Cor 14:14-15, 17; Acts 2:11; 10:46; Rom 8:26-27; Heb 13:15; Ezek 22:30; Isa 59:16).
