RE : Living In The Blessings Without The Curses

If Christ Has Already Taken Our Curses, Why Curse Of Sin Nature Remains In Us To Weaken Us?

Question : I have read your post : "Can We As Believers Live In Just The Blessings Without The Curses At All?" and in it I have come to understand that we are not immune from curses for the first time it comes towards us, but once we face it and overcome it by the grace of God then we become immune from it and will have dominion over it. Is that understanding right, or what is your explanation further about it? Then you spoke about curses of the sin nature that come to us from within, has not Christ taken these curses also on Himself so that we can become blessed in all things?

Answer: Greetings in Jesus wonderful name! Let us see in what way Christ has given immunity from sin and sin nature which are the root of all the curses that come in to our lives and cause disobedience to God. Paul the apostle said,
"6 Your old evil desires were nailed to the cross with him; that part of you that loves to sin was crushed and fatally wounded, so that your sin-loving body is no longer under sin's control, no longer needs to be a slave to sin; 7 for when you are deadened to sin [in Christ Jesus] you are freed from all its allure and its power over you." (Rom 6:6-7, LB). Here in the above verses we can clearly see that our immunity from sin and sin nature depends on the good choice we can take to remain under the protection of the blood of Jesus all the time. We do not have to sin by the compulsion of the sin nature because Christ's death has freed us from its compulsion and therefore we can moment by moment take God glorifying choice to stay out of sin and remain immune to curses that tries to invade in to our lives. Even if we have fallen in to sin by its allure, we have a choice to confess it all as soon as possible to God and again come in to the comfort, protection and communion with God that comes to us through the blood of Jesus (1 John 1:7, 9; 2:1-2).

No believer will plan to sin because they know for sure the evil effect of curses that sin brings in to their lives if they again let themselves be a slave to it by giving in to its evil impulses
(Rom 6:15-16; 2 Peter 1:5-9; Heb 6:4-8). The best immunity against sin and curses is to deny our-self which is our fleshly selfish nature any legal ground in our life by letting it rule us, and then take up our cross daily to do the will of God by following Jesus no matter how we feel naturally about it. As long as we do the will of God victoriously it doesn't matter how much natural hardship we go through in life because we are going to be rewarded by God for it all as we live by faith and not by sight which are nothing but the feelings that pull us down spiritually in to unbelief, as it goes up and down like a wave in a ocean in a very unsteady way (Luke 9:23; 2 Cor 5:7).

Yes we cannot come to a point in this earthly life where we can say we are immune from curses hundred percentage because only when we die we thrown the sin nature which sticks with this physical body of ours, and will go on to heaven to later rise up in our glorious body which is without sin nature, which will have no curse at all forever and only blessing of being in the Presence of God and his mighty blessings of experiencing the new heaven and the new earth and the New Jerusalem
(1 John 1:8, 10; 2 Cor 5:1-4; Rom 7:24-25; 8:21, 23; Rev 21:1-4). Our outwards body of sin may be perishing day by day more and more (Rom 7:25), but the inward man of the spirit who is one with the Holy Spirit is being renewed and built up with all the blessings of God to make us live in the fullness of the blessing of God which is Christ in us the hope of our glory (2 Cor 4:16; 1 Cor 6:17; Rom 15:29; Col 1:27).

The curse of sins that comes to us through our sin nature cannot have dominion over us legally whether it is the first time or hundredth time we fail or fall in to sin, as it is like a robber who robs and you warn him and send him out of your life through your confession to God, then you again catch him doing some crime, now you arrest him and leave him after some time, then again you catch him doing some crime activities and still you as a police man arrest him and make him stay in prison till he repents, and one day you realize that this crook have escaped from prison again....no matter whether that crook is present before you or not, still you have and exercise authority over the robber as a police man, so that when ever you see him doing illegal activities you have the rights to again immediately arrest him and put him in prison. The same applies to the believers against the demonic stealing, killing and destroying robbers
(John 10:10), who try to do illegal business of bringing curses in to our lives through our sin nature. The moment we stand on the authority of Christ in us, all demonic curses will have to flee away from us (Rom 6:14). In other words, we have the legal authority to make ourselves immune from any curses at any time as the children of God. We need humility to receive this grace from Jesus Christ, to exercise authority over sin by confessing to God of our sins and repenting of the behavior that makes us bound to sin by our wrong choices (James 4:7-8, 10; Heb 4:14-16; Rev 2:5, 16, 21-22; 3:3, 19).

So the bottom line is, because Christ died for our sin not only to forgive our sin which in itself would have been great, but also have set us free from the power of sin to make us take good choice to hear the voice of God and walk in the blessing of it
(1 Peter 2:24, 25; Rom 8:13; 6:11-13), therefore we who were like weak and powerless sheep going astray from God and his blessings in the past life of ours have returned to the chief shepherd and overseer of our souls who is Jesus the Christ, who is able to empower us continually to keep ourselves in the blessing of God by making us immune from the curses through using our God given authority to use the blood of Jesus to cover ourselves from curses to a certain level to which we have overcome and have ruled over it by the grace of God (Gen 4:7; Heb 9:14; Jude 1:24-25; Rom 6:16, 22; Rev 3:20). Then when sin knocks at the door of your heart, you have the choice to let Jesus open the door, and thus send Satan and his demons go in fright and flight in all direction being not able to handle the light of Jesus that shines from Him (John 8:12). Yes indeed, "For God took the sinless Christ and poured into him our sins. Then, in exchange, he poured God's goodness into us!" (2 Cor 5:21, LB). So we are now entitled to live in the blessings of God which is our inheritance in Christ Jesus our Lord.

When we continue to have God's light shine out of us and choose to consistently walk in the light of Jesus
(Matt 5:14-15, 16), God turns all the evil curses that comes against us in to a blessing at the end of every ordeal which He allows to tune us in to the likeness of his own Character (Rom 8:28-29). Finally for us all who walk with God we will be glorified in the end....through which God Himself gets glorified (Rom 8:30). So the curse of sin nature does not weaken us spiritually according to God which He has allowed it in us by His own choice, but rather it strengthens our stamina spiritually to make us be conformed to the image of the Character of God for which we are rewarded spiritually by God now and forever in eternity. If there is no test, there can be no percentages or rewards for it.

Here are all the places where God turned curses in to a blessing :

Joseph said to his Brothers who tried in the past to kill him because of jealousy:
"But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive." (Gen 50:20).

When Balaam the sorcerer tried to curse Israel the nation for money
(Jos 13:22; 24:9-10; Neh 13:2), here is what happened which the great testimony of Moses revealed: "But the LORD your God would not listen to Balaam; instead the LORD your God turned the curse into a blessing for you, because the LORD your God loved you." (Deut 23:5, ESV).

God is able to turn all the things that happen to us in our lives whether good or bad, beautiful or ugly, etc...in to a good strong story line of blessing at the end of it all. Thus we know,
"20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, 21 to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen." (Eph 3:20-21). Amen!

Much Blessings.....
