Question: God please turn all of my relationships in to miracles in Jesus Christ. Amen. Relationships are built by God or us or both?
Answer: Greetings in Jesus wonderful name!
First of all I want to talk about three important directions that every relationship must focus on, there after pursuing peace in three dimensions of life which will give us a three dimensional view of complete peace which can turn any relationships in to miracles in Christ Jesus.
1) Make Peace With God :
When the great God became human by being born as a baby in a manger in Christ Jesus, the following cry filled the earth from heaven, and great was this mystery that it was revealed not to intellectuals but to simple shepherds who must have understood the significance of it having been dejected in their thinking because of the secluded life style in which they lived as nomads and outcasts of the society,"8 And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. 9 And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. 10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. 11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. 12 And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. 13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, 14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. 15 And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us." (Luke 2:8-15). There are certain important lessons we can learn from the above Scriptures. First, we see the "country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night", it was unlikely hours of the night that these shepherds were abiding and watching over their flock, have you been watching the flock that God has given you to watch over or are you spiritually sleeping to let the wolves to steal them and eat them because of being lethargic and covetous to build you and yourself only? Every shepherd whom God has placed over His flock should always be watchful in prayer and reading of the Word of God. If we do what we can, God will step in to our normal life of what might seem as boredom to make it become a little heaven on earth. Be faithful in whatever work God has given you. These shepherds whom the town and city people considered as nomads and outcasts of the society, were so valuable in the sight of God that He did not send this mysterious message of heaven to kings and nobles but to the shepherds with watchful eyes who did not sleep through the night but were worshiping God through it all seeing the beautiful night sky. Do you get up and go out to peep up in to the night sky to say to God, 'I can see you God up there and look to gaze up the stars of the sky to worship God at that time from your heart with thankfulness for His beautiful creation?' When the angel of God appears suddenly before us or the Glory of God appears before us, we will become afraid in a positive way as no man can handle the Presence of God by Himself but only by His favor showered on Him to handle it. When Glory shone around them, they were sore afraid by the invasion of heaven in to their lives, the same will happen to us if we live in worship towards God all the time like the shepherds. May God teach us to worship Him in the Spirit all the time just like these Shepherds so that heaven will invade our home, work place, colleges, business, and in every areas of our life and living so that we may have heaven encounter to receive good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people through us from our loving God!
The good tidings of great joy always continues in our lives when we have a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord as our personal one, who have not come to earth as a king born in a palace, but having no room for him even in the poorest of the poor's inn, finally Christ Himself chose for Himself to be born in this lowly place where no human will choose if he has a choice he could make to be born where he or she could, (i.e.) babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. That shows the true humility of Christ where He could relate with the poorest of the poor, to lift their lives to great heights of heaven (Luke 4:18; 6:20-26; Matt 11:5; 26:11; Prov 14:31; 22:9; 29:7; 28:27; Mark 10:25; 2 Cor 8:9).
Heaven and our loving Father in heaven always gives us a surprise of "suddenlies" from heaven, who live not for themselves, but to worship the Father in the spirit and in truth whom He always seeks after (John 4:23-24). O Father give us such a worshiping heart that pleases you! Once the worshipers please God by faith, immediately and suddenly always almost all the time, heaven invades the earth with more Glory, and thus angel of God or even angels of God who along with them a multitude of the heavenly host praising God will usually become a common sight rather than a rare sight. What a wonderful sight it will be to behold when heaven invades the earth with praises from heaven again and again for us to experience now!!!!
Here's the key, "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men", because Jesus our Lord has come to the earth producing the Glory to God in the highest heaven, forever on earth peace of God has got settled for men which brought more and more good will of God towards men forever and ever. Have you realized in your life, God was the one who first sought your hand of friendship with you first, and brought peace to you in Christ Jesus and good will of His heart towards you, even before you were saved when you were an enemy to him (Rom 5:8)? O Glory! Thank you Jesus. Yes He did, believe me!
This is the reason we can always be at peace with God once we are saved as we are forever saved by grace through faith and not because of our works we have done but because of what Jesus has done for us to redeem us from sin and death (Eph 2:6-8). Always renew your mind with the finished work of Christ on the Cross, and you will always be refreshed by the Spirit of God who will forever make you remember "on earth peace, good will toward men" so that you can bring Glory to God in the highest just like the angels and heavenly hosts did 2000 years ago (Eph 4:22, 23, 24).
Whenever an angel comes with a message from God to speak to us the first word they will say is , "Fear not:" "...for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people," in other words, they have to drive our natural fear of supernatural away, before they can fully speak to us the message of faith from God and stay healthy. So never let yourself fear for too long continue, instead come back, take stock of the situation and again stand in faith. Glory to God!
"16 And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger. 17 And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning this child. 18 And all they that heard it wondered at those things which were told them by the shepherds. 19 But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. 20 And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them." (Luke 2:16-20).
Unless God sees a heart that is humble and filled with faith to obey God and be astonished by the revelation of the mysteries of God from heaven, you can never see the supernatural peace of God operate in your life. So pursue this supernatural peace with God by confessing your sins when they come to stand between you and God, immediately you will be washed and cleansed by the blood of Jesus (1 John 1:7, 9).
Those who are not saved by Jesus now, cannot experience this peace, rather they will act like the tossing sea, which cannot rest, whose waves cast up mire and mud (Isa 57:20). The saved man will be kept in peace by God as He focuses his mind on Him more and more, so that they enter in to peace, even in death they find nothing but more peace (Isa 26:3; 57:2).
Even though peace with God is not subjective to our experience, it is a constant that must be reminded in our mind to have this peace with God and not be condemned by the enemy of our soul who always makes us to sin, and move away from God (1 John 2:1). Stay where you belong, right in the center of the "on earth peace, good will toward men". Praise the Lord!

2) Receive Peace Within
One of the most important thing in relationship building with humans that gets clicked for the best shot is when we are, having the peace of God within us. The peace of God, keeps our heart calm and quiet in God when storms of life passes by surrounding us, and at some points of times in our lives threatening our very existence in the will of God.
Apostle Paul wonderfully described, peace in this tri-dimensional realm by saying, "... the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit." (Rom 14:17). In other words, Paul is saying that righteousness, peace and joy is an inside job that gets released in cooperation with the Holy Spirit who actually brings these Kingdom manifestations to us within, so no matter what may, we should not allow or give anybody else so much power over us to control or influence us from the outside except our sweet Jesus who loves us to bits and pieces, so that we are never be controlled by the external forces that are not in our direct control, be it a natural storm or a person who tries to brings such a storm in to our lives.
Then there are times, when we worry, get boiled re-actively when others mistreat us and speak evil about us, when the things that happen usually outside our control which plays in our mind to come to control us or even sometimes haunt us by its very evil and deceptive nature, then remember it with great sorrow, that we lose the peace of God within and suffer a lot in our lives. What should we do? Here is the answer, "4 Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! 5 Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand.
6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." (Php 4:4-7). In other words, the Bible teaches us to live in-dependence of God within, or in other words in the rejoicing over the control of God over our lives that is sovereign, again it says that we must release the joy of the Lord within our soul which has the power to control us with its power of joy as always, very contagious, to spread around and cause the life of heaven to be enjoyed on earth itself. Once we realize in our soul, that all things which happen to us cannot really come to happen unless the Lord who is at hand who allow it second by second, minute by minute, hour by hour, day by day, month by month, year by year, decade by decade, or else nothing by all means shall touch us, then at that moment of time, we will realize that problems we face are not due to God's failure to protect us, but rather it is our failure to pray through to receive the peace of God that passes all our understanding which has the ability to protect our mind from wandering in to dry desert which has caused us to face the storm without taking rest in God who has promised to fight for us, and defend us to take even vengeance on behalf of us on our enemies we face day to day in our lives (Rom 12:9-13, 14-16, 17-17, 19). If we start fighting, we tie God's hand and therefore He cannot fight for us to give us great victories. But if we take rest in Him, then stay quiet to focus on nothing but only the Lord, that is when our faith unties God's hand, then He steps in to fight for us and give us great great victories for us that will glorify Him for eternity ahead. Praise the Lord!.
So tell Jesus in prayer all your problems, and allow yourself to be filled with the peace of God, this will help you remain always calm in relationship to others. In other words, when you are calm and collective, not angry and reactive, you will be at peace with yourself in Christ Jesus, and therefore with others, you will be with the peace of God that passes your understanding which will guard your heart and mind to stay at rest in God, to untie God's hand to act on your behalf and bring victories for you. Praise the Lord!
3) Have Peace With Men
The Bible says, "If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men." (Rom 12:18). God has never ever given a "if it is possible," to any command of His, except to human relationship. As we see above, even if we pursue peace in a relationship, friendship, family and in other social fellowship, if the other person doesn't want to allow us to speak to him or her which will bring peace to the situation through forgiveness and mutual respect for each other, then peace is very much elusive and cannot be obtained by the person who pursues it (Heb 12:14). Christian marriages are very miserable even for godly men and women when the other person closes his/her mind to God and opens it to fleshly relationship that starts to control them and use them for the purpose of the devil to be fulfilled in their lives. Usually these soulish control comes through mother, father, brother whom they love more than they love Jesus Christ their Lord and Savior (Matt 10:37-39).
Even in those days of old, the prophets thundered saying, "Can two people walk together without agreeing on the direction?" (Amos 3:3)? No way they can walk together. So finally even God cannot work a miracle when a person does not agree to walk in one direction together. So sad, but it is the fact of truth. God can only humiliate people, but only they can humble themselves before Him to realign themselves to start to walk in the same direction if they are married to God spiritually and their spouse physically (1 Peter 5:5, 6; Jam 4:6, 7), to honor the covenant made before Him again for that which God had honored to give a partner in their past life (Mal 2:17, 15), so that with His favor they can move with their spouse in one direction that God has previously shown them both (Mal 2:16). This applies with all relationship.
So as much as possible you try to keep peace, but those who burn bridges without the value of knowing how much these bridges are valued in the sight of God, one day they will long for that bridge to be built again because of constant excruciating pain in their soul. The soul which will get broken to pieces because of the destroyed and burnt bridges which they initiated without any fear of God, so when the pay back time of God comes, they will have to face the music of God. They can either humble themselves before God and humans who were part of the effort of those bridges where these were connected in the past through marriages, friendships, families, churches, fellowships, etc....or else they can harden their heart still to go dead in humiliation through suicide or a spiritual harakiri even though they were saved by Jesus in the past, but pride has blinded them to the point of no return that they will choose to die rather than live in humiliation (1 Cor 11:27, 28-29, 30, 31-32). O such a pride of evil it is!
But those who humble themselves and come to ask pardon for their wrong doings, such prodigal brothers and sisters we should infinitely receive them with the forgiveness and love of Christ, so that they too can start to experience heaven on earth like us for the first time in their lives.
Are you ready, you are asking me for what? To love those who hate us as their enemies for no reason on our side except we follow Christ, to bless those who curse us, to pray for those who unlawfully use us and persecute us, to show kindness to those enemies, just like our Father in heaven blesses the good and the bad, the evil and the ugly, the forgotten and the forget-ters, with rain and sunshine so that we may prove to the world that we are truly the sons of our Heavenly Father in heaven (Matt 5:45). Amen!
May we truly learn in this life using this aspect of relationship that is not in our control, not to let these relationships control us in any negative way, but overcome all the evil of these relationship with the good that is within us, that is God Himself and His character in which we grow day by day through suffering. May we truly rejoice in suffering, because we are guaranteed of spiritual growth only through suffering and no other way. If Jesus Himself learned obedience through suffering, how much more we need as we strive to become like Jesus in His character to please our Abba Father in heaven (Heb 5:8-9)?
Heaven may be great place to fellowship, worship, serve the Lord in the beauty of His Holiness, etc...for eternity, but God's one appointed place for us to learn obedience is the school of suffering on earth which prepares us for higher learning and serving in heaven with a eternal reward for it for eternity ahead. That is why I believe even Jesus had to become a man to learn obedience in the school of suffering.
So rejoice through suffering, but try as much as possible to bring back peace, God who takes vengeance on our enemies will take pity on us and bring all the trials to an end when we have passed through the school of suffering at the right appointed time He has planned for us, until then don't waste suffering, face them face to face until that pain becomes a joy of strength to you (James 1:2-4).
Peace may elude in this realm for some time, but ultimately you will have peace with humans at some point of time, when God will turn your enemies to becomes friends because of His favor over your life and relationship (Prov 21:1; 16:7). Praise the Lord!
My advice to you to keep your mouth shut, to improve this aspect of relationship and find the Lord's favor as soon as possible,
Don't open your mouth :
1) In the heat of anger (Prov 14:17).
2) When you don't have all the facts (Prov 18:13).
3) When you haven't verified the story (Deut 17:6).
4) If your words will offend a weaker Brother (1 Cor 8:11).
5) If your words will be a poor reflection of the Lord or your friends and family (1 Peter 2:21-23).
6) When you would be ashamed of your words later (Prov 8:8).
7) If your words will damage someone's reputation (Prov 16:27).
8) If your words will destroy a friendship (Prov 25:28).
9) If your words would convey a wrong impression (Prov 17:27).
10) If the issue is none of your business (Prov 14:10).
11) When you are feeling critical (James 3:9).
12) If you can't speak without yelling (Prov 25:28).
13) When it is time to listen (Prov 13:1).
14) If you may have to eat your words later (Prov 18:21).
15) If you have already said it more than one time (Then it becomes nagging (Prov 19:13)).
16) When you are supposed to be working instead (Prov 14:23).
"Whosoever keeps his mouth and his tongue, keeps his soul from trouble." (Prov 21:23).
"May your soul rest in peace not just after you die, but more importantly before you die, so that you might really live in peace with God, yourself and others to live abundantly in prosperity all the days of your life on earth. Live full, die empty at least in this case perfectly matters the most!" — Abraham Israel
Much Blessings....
