What Is The Purpose Of The Millennium Rule Of Jesus?
Answer: Greetings in Jesus wonderful name!
A nice question to think deeply and Scripturally indeed. First of all, the three main reasons people give to God for humans sinning against God since the beginning are,
1) You were not there to guide me and help me overcome sin, so I feared and was afraid, I felt inadequate and naked in myself and I tried to hide myself from the shame of defeat (Gen 3:9-10).
2) The person whom you gave to me as neighbor, wife, father, mother, friend, etc... on earth around me, made me to sin (Gen 3:12).
3) The Devil made me to sin (Gen 3:13).
First of all, are these three questions valid for God to consider, in other words, does it have at least certain level of truth in it?
Though externally it might seem to have some truth in it, the real truth of the matter is, when Adam disobeyed God, it was out of his own volition and will that he became a rebellious being (Rom 5:12). In fact, not only Adam failed in his duty to properly teach his wife what God has conveyed to him and thus she was deceived (Gen 2:16-17; 3:2-3), after Eve was deceived by the serpent in eating the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, she brought the fruit for him to eat. The first thing Adam could have done was take the matter to the Lord first, in fact if he had taken the matter to the Lord at this point of time, man's seed would not have become inherently tainted with sin nature (Psa 51:5; 58:3; Eph 2:3), instead God could have limited the destruction caused by sin and the wages of it to women, thus making man become the warrior against sin and Satan to cause them to be judged by him.
But sadly Adam ate the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, without even any second thought because he loved carnally the woman God gave more than the God who gave him life and well being (Gen 3:6, 17). Even though Adam was "with her [i.e. Eve](Gen 3:6)", when she was tempted, he opened not his mouth to convey to her or warn her with the commandment of the Lord which he received from the Lord, which was the cause of the downfall of all humanity in to sin.
In six days God created the heavens and the earth and all that is in it, but on the seventh day God rested from all his work, conveying to humans that He would love to fellowship with them and make them energized enough to carry on through His Presence and fellowship for the rest of the week (Gen 1:31; 2:1, 2-3; 3:8). In other words, God wanted to hear the report card of what was happening on earth from the man who was put as in-charge (Gen 2:15).
Thus the tainted man was running away from God, ever since sin nature took control of his life in the garden of Eden (Rom 3:23; Eph 4:18; Isa 53:6), whatever each thought was right, they made it to be a religion to follow and have continued to deny the sin nature within humans that is making them independent and ungodly (Rom 1:21, 22-23).
God wanted to rescue these humans whom he loved, but they never understood that their in-dependency caused by sin nature was the reason sin ruled them deceitfully right from the beginning in the Garden of Eden until today in our times (Judg 17:6; 21:25; Rom 6:16).
God showed his love towards all humanity openly when He sent His only begotten eternal Son of God in to the world to show His light to all humans, in other words, seeing the inability of sinful man to reach out to Him and obey Him, He Himself reached out to man through Jesus Christ and showed to the world that he does not want religious nuts but want humble believer who will live as his children (John 3:16). Thus a great mystery of miracle happened when Jesus the eternal Son of God came to this world, he was the first man to have that spiritual God-connection straight from heaven because He was without sin nature within him (1 Cor 15:46-47; 1 Peter 2:22; 2 Cor 5:21), and thus he began to receive sinners and give them a new life of God within them to make them a New Creation of a breed of people who are fit to serve God and live with Him (1 Cor 15:48-49; 2 Cor 5:17).
Now Christ shows the light of God to the whole world so that people can believe Him and get saved from sin (John 3:18), all those who practice sin and want to be independent in their pursuit of it will only be condemned because they loved darkness as their deed were evil and hated light (John 3:19). All those who are born again will be raised up in their glorious bodies just like Jesus (1 John 3:2-3), and they will live in the Father's house of the new heaven and the earth after the day of rapture (Rev 21:1; John 14:1-2, 3-4; 1 Thess 4:14-16, 17-18).
From the New Heaven and New Earth Jesus will operate along with His saints, to prove that the Kingdom of God rules over the earth (Matt 6:9-10; Rev 19:8, 11-16; 21:1-8). In fact, the Father God who resides in New Jerusalem and who have built the New Heaven and New Earth [i.e. a heavenly country] with his very own hands till the day of rapture (Heb 11:10, 13-16), will be the one who will will waiting for the saints to subdue the old earth and bring it in to subjection (Heb 10:13; Acts 3:21; Col 1:19-20; Php 3:21; 1 Cor 15:28). So that once there are no more enemies of God left on the old earth (Rev 20:7-10), all the Old Heavens and Old Earth will pass away (2 Peter 3:7, 10), and the Father will bring Himself along with New Jerusalem as like a bride towards her husband and will settle it in the midst of the New Earth to be with believing men forever (Rev 21:2, 3), which is the ultimate fulfillment which the Kingdom of God is waiting for (Rev 21:2-3). The apostle Paul has told the Church to look forward for the New Heaven and the New Earth, and not for some other place to reside during the Millennium (2 Peter 3:11-13; Heb 13:14). But the spiritual head quarters for the New Earth and the New Heaven will be Mount Zion which is in the New Jerusalem of heaven (Heb 12:22). In other words, now all the believers in the spirit go on to be with the Lord in the New Jerusalem as they do not have the glorious body still but have only the spirit/soul which enter it (2 Cor 5:8; Rev 6:1, 9, 10, 11). All the martyrs who died for faith will rise up only after the Great Tribulation and will accompany Jesus to rule on earth from the earthly Jerusalem temple for a thousand years (Rev 20:4, 5-6, 9; Matt 8:11).
So we can come to the conclusion, that a day in the sight of God is like a thousand years and thousand years like just a day (2 Peter 3:8). so nearly from the creation of all the things to the present day it is nearing six thousand years. Until now God has been creating a new man for the New Heaven and New Earth, but the day of the Lord is the Seventh Day which will be a thousand years of rest in which God wants all humanity to have fellowship with Him. So all the unbelievers will be filtered through and through and will be sent in to everlasting punishment of hell fire (Matt 25:41), and only the believers who inherit eternal life will be let in to the Millennial Kingdom of Jesus on this present earth (Matt 25:46).
Because these are natural men who were saved, their children will be born with a sin nature in a unsaved state, they will have to believe in Jesus and will have to get saved, or else they will become a rebel against God to die very early or will come against the saints at Jerusalem during the end of all things (Isa 65:20, 21-22; Rev 20:9).
God could end the the world at the end of Armageddon itself and take all the believers to the new heaven and new earth (Rev 21:1), but as we have already discussed, only the sixth day is getting over and the Lord's day which is Millennium is ahead in which He wants to have fellowship with all humans intimately just like He had with the first Adam in the Garden of Eden, so that is the reason God will not want to end the world after Armageddon which will be the final war in which Jesus will fight Antichrist and False Prophet and will send them straight to hell fire along with all his unsaved supporters who will have his seal of mark on their foreheads or their right hand (Rev 19:17-21; 13:16).
So in the Millennium God will answer all humans sinners who were asking the below three questions in the following way :
1) Sinners when they say to God : You were not there to guide me and help me overcome sin, so I feared and was afraid, I felt inadequate and naked in myself and I tried to hide myself from the shame of defeat (Gen 3:9-10)?
God will answer to them saying : I will be always be available to every human on earth through My Son Jesus Christ, who will be present on earth at any time, He will keep My peace on earth for a thousand years by love if possible, or by force if not possible by peaceful means (Rev 2:27; Psa 72:8-9; Rev 20:4, 6; Isa 2:4).
2) Sinners when they say to God : The person whom you gave to me as neighbor, wife, father, mother, friend, etc... on earth around me, made me to sin (Gen 3:12).
God will answer to them saying : In to the Millennium rule of My kingdom only the righteous will be allowed to enter and stay as my subjects for the rest of the time on earth (Matt 25:31-32, 34, 40, 46).
3) Sinners when they say to God : The Devil made me to sin (Gen 3:13).
God will answer to them saying : The Devil who is Satan will be bound by an angel and will be cast in to the bottomless pit for a thousand years (Rev 20:1, 2, 3).
So in spite of giving humans a perfect answer for the three accusatory questions for their failure to stop sinning, after living in the Kingdom of Jesus and sinners multiplying in the Millennium will at the end of it all, will be subject to test again. In this test, Satan will be let loose for one last time to influence those sinners who are present comfortably within his earthly kingdom as unsaved rebels under His authority, when they were given a choice for one last time whether to act by themselves or be subject to the authority of God in obedience to his command, they will surround the camp of the saints and the beloved city under the strong influence of Satan. The sinners who will surround the beloved city of Jerusalem will be like the sand of the sea (Matt 5:35). And fire will come down from God out of heaven and will devour them (Rev 20:7-10).
So why humans after seeing the goodness and peace of God for a thousand years will want to join Satan to rebel against Jesus and the kingdom of God? In it God will prove that it is not just the external conditions or external influence that makes man to sin, but the internal unsaved nature of sin within them that actually makes them sin and become a rebel against God and His light. In other words, man is not just a sinner by choice, but he is a sinner by birth (Psa 51:5; 58:3), who later chooses to practice sin by his own choice (1 John 3:8).
So the Lord asks all humans to believe in the Lord Jesus and be saved from sin (Acts 16:31), those who do not take it that seriously will have to pay the price for their negligence when they will face eternal death for their bad choice of rejecting Jesus Christ (Rev 20:11-13, 14-15).
Much Blessings....
