What Does God Say About Zodiac Signs And Belief?
Question: Greetings Brother in Christ, I hope you are doing great.. I know you are surprised I messaged you... I have this questions that I need to know... I like to investigate and know the truths in a godly way and not by the world's ways... well, When I was an unbeliever I always used to go through zodiac signs to see whether my boy friends would cheat me or not..lol..Coz in all my relationship I have experienced heartbreaks through their unfaithfulness... and that's how I started studying Zodiac signs and their characters and found saggittarius and aquarius are not compatible to me as a leo though I didn't believe in horoscope... I only believed according to their birthing (zodiacs) which revealed their nature... But as a believer I left those all knowing it isn't right... this was 8 years ago.. now, these days I started thinking about these signs again to know whether they are really Biblical? I was going though online check and found your post about star signs. But I still wanna know if a person's nature being revealed through star signs are Biblical or not... Coz recently I just went to look on someones nature through their birthdays and found their characteristics/natures same as revealed according to when they were born, which fell on certain zodiac.. I heard about John Paul Jackson page and Shawn bolz preaching on it but I really did not focus on that as I wasn't believing in this stuffs... Thanks.

Praise the Lord Sister....I am never surprised from friends who ask Bible questions, because we all have one question or the other to solve in our own lives and in the lives of others to know what does God and His Word think about that question we have in our heart, and therefore find the answers from the Bible, so that experientially we will have great joy and peace in our lives, and prosperity in all the areas where we apply the Word of God in our lives moment by moment. God is not always pleased with Christians who walk emotionally, but He is always pleased with those who walk by faith in His Word which is the written will of God revealed to all humanity (Heb 11:6).
Let us clearly see what Zodiac and Horoscope does really mean first. Zodiac is a belt of the heavens within about 8° either side of the ecliptic, including all apparent positions of the sun, moon, and most familiar planets. It is divided into twelve equal divisions or signs (Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, Pisces), . Horoscope means a forecast of a person's future, typically including a delineation of character and circumstances, based on the relative positions of the stars and planets at the time of that person's birth, a short forecast for people born under a particular sign, especially as published in a newspaper or magazine, and also a horoscope is a birth chart based on it.
Thus People believe these 12 zodiac signs, and each sign they believe has its own strengths and weaknesses, its own specific traits, desires and attitude towards life and people. By analyzing the projection of the position of planets, and the Sun and the Moon on the Ecliptic at the moment of birth, they believe astrology can give us a glimpse of a person's basic characteristics, preferences, flaws and fears.
In my own experience related to these, without serious intention of knowing any of it, I used to flip through the English news paper where they used to put these signs, and how it will go for those who were born on each month of the year for the upcoming week which they predicted. I never took these things seriously always, but I started by curiosity seeing in details what has been given on the month I was born for the week ahead, as the predictions were good, positive and very optimistic, I gulped in and took it with a light hearted belief that all will go well.
But God got me napping spiritually this time around when as usual I saw another week about the future forecast for the week ahead, but suddenly in the forecast I was seeing something wrong, hurtful and hopeless with gloom and doom accompanied in the words, immediately it brought a spirit of fear in to me. I was feeling some uneasiness within me which I did not feel all others times ever before in my life, and I could see spiritually and sense that I was stuck in a dark alley in my soul.
I myself with my own strength could not rescue me out of the pit I was stuck at that time, thank God Dad is a Pastor whom I could always trust for my spiritual needs and help as usual. Then I went to him at that time and slowly opened myself up to him. I told what happened to me, how the good predictions on all the previous occasions brought happiness to me temporarily, but this week those bad predictions for the week ahead brought confusion and fear in to me. Then I also told that I feel like I have been stuck somewhere spiritually and how I felt fear continue in me, then he told me to open the Bible and turn to Deut 18:9-14 and read the following Scriptures, " 9 “When you come into the land which the LORD your God is giving you, you shall not learn to follow the abominations of those nations. 10 There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, or one who practices witchcraft, or a soothsayer, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer, 11 or one who conjures spells, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead. 12 For all who do these things are an abomination to the LORD, and because of these abominations the LORD your God drives them out from before you. 13 You shall be blameless before the LORD your God. 14 For these nations which you will dispossess listened to soothsayers and diviners; but as for you, the LORD your God has not appointed such for you."
Then my father related to to expound the above Scripture to me and my situation from the Bible to make me understand that signs, stars, omens decided by its influence like saying this is a good time or a day, and something else is a bad time or a day, "soothsayers and diviners" foretelling about one's future or past or even calculating the nature of someone based on the Zodiac signs are abominations to our Lord God and it brings legal authority of Satanic means and methods to bring blame on our soul before God and opens the door to the evil one voluntarily, even though we see such things initially only with curiosity of mind and not with an intention to get involved in it. Also he said that "the LORD our God has not appointed such for" us, so getting involved is any of it might make us become displeasing to the Lord as He is a jealous God with a godly love for His children and a angry judge against those who want to destroy them (Jam 4:5; Gen 6:5; Exo 34:14; 20:5). Then he told me to humble and repent of it before the Lord (1 Pet 5:5-7), and also edified me saying, God has not given a spirit of fear leading to bondage, but rather the spirit of power to love and have sound mind within us to think about God and have a great friendship with Him (2 Tim 1:7), of which I understood and got it etched in my soul from that time onward. Then he prayed over me and the spirit of fear, doom and gloom left me immediately and I stood up rejoicing in the Lord.
From that time onward I have learned to be sober and vigilant regarding my adversary the devil who walks about like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour, and have learned by experience to resist the curiosity to take the bait of Satan and his demonic counterfeits which looks very closely to the real optimism and rejoicing from God's prophetic words but are doomed to bring us in to his evil power to control and manipulate our lives (1 Pet 5:8-9; Rev 2:24).
To be curious to know whether the Bible does speak about these Zodiac signs and astrology is good as long as we do not become curious enough to get caught in it against the will of God.

God asked Job this question when he wailed against God for his bad circumstances, "Do you know the ordinances of the heavens? Can you set their dominion over the earth?" (Job 38:33), which does mean that the heavenlies with all its angelic watchership over the world is subject to them under God (Heb 2:5; Dan 4:13, 16), so I believe only the saints of the Church are in direct rulership by God through His servants of the fivefold ministries on earth (Eph 4:7-16; 1 Cor 6:1-8).
Most basic to our understanding of the literal stars is that God created them. They show His power and majesty. The heavens are God’s “handiwork” (Psalm 8:3; 19:1). He has all the stars numbered and named (Psalm 147:4).
God arranged the stars in constellations which are a group of stars forming a recognizable pattern that is traditionally named after its apparent form or identified with a mythological figure by the world of humans who are also the reason to create religion in partnership with the fallen angels wisdom of the world.
The Bible mentions three of these: Orion, the Bear (Ursa Major), and “the crooked serpent” (most likely Draco) in Job 9:9; 26:13; 38:31-32; and Amos 5:8. The same passages also reference the star group Pleiades (the Seven Stars). God is the One Who “fastens the bands” of these constellations; He is the One who brings them forth, “each in its season.” In Job 38:32, God also points to the “Mazzaroth,” usually translated “constellations.”
The constellations have been tracked and studied for millennia by Egyptians and Greeks who knew of the zodiac and used it to measure the beginning of spring centuries before Christ. Even the kings from the east in the Bible which points to the Babylonians of those times were led by the special star in the heaven and began to interpret its uniqueness because they were looking to the heavens for the Messiah to come and save them (Matt 2:2). God responded to their faith and rightly led them to Jerusalem and then to the exact spot in Bethlehem where Jesus Christ was born.
God used the stars as an illustration of His promise to give Abraham an innumerable seed (Genesis 15:5). Thus, every time Abraham looked up at the night sky, he had a reminder of God’s faithfulness and goodness in his spiritual life that is going to be fulfilled through his son Isaac and ultimately in Christ Jesus. And to us who look in to the night sky, we see a promise of the souls that are going to be saved through the gospel we share to others around us. God's signs of his doings are written by Him in the sun, moon, stars and the planets (Psa 19:1). The final judgment of the earth will be accompanied by astronomical events relating to the stars (Isaiah 13:9-10; Joel 3:15; Matthew 24:29).
In the Bible we find that stars, along with the sun and moon, were given for “signs” and “seasons” (Genesis 1:14); that is, they were meant to mark time for us and each generations on earth till the end of the world, but no where God has indicated that the humanly assumed influence of the the stars (and planets) have power over the human destiny to exert its influence over them. This is a false belief. Therefore we come to know that the Bible does not indicate any “hidden meaning” for these Zodiac stars or other constellations... But if we look a little deep to ask ourselves the question, how come we are able to see the characteristics of certain people, I mean up to a certain extent to calculate and find their character and nature through these signs? There we are delving deeper still in to the spiritual world behind the beliefs of people.
I believe we need to understand something more than the plain stars, God's spiritual definition of the stars are in reality the angels as I said who have so much influence over the destiny of humans as they are the watchers who watch the family bloodline, and even when a little child is born they watch over it until they leave this earth (Psa 91:11-12). That is why Jesus brought a little child and said, "See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that in heaven their angels always see the face of my Father who is in heaven." (Matt 18:10, ESV). That does mean, that the stars of God in His original intention were angels of light who obeyed God to fulfill His word and destiny for the the human race, but when one third of the angels of light became the fallen angels of darkness to join along with Satan and his one third of demons to begin a kingdom on earth against the will of God for humans, they acted against the destiny of God by luring them in to a destiny of their own through money and the pride of life, sex drive and the lust of the flesh and self will fulfilled through the lust of the eyes (1 John 2:15-17), and thus began to act as familiar spirits to deceive humans and started to develop the belief of astrology in the mind of humans to turn them away from the sovereign God who rules over the destiny of those whom He has created for His own Glory (Job 38:6-7; Rev 12:4). All the man made religions are a offshoot of this thinking that Satan and his demons have ingrained in the thinking of humans and especially in the Hindu nation of India, you can see many of these ancient belief system that are ingrained to turn people away from the Sovereign God who rules the whole earth through His Holiness (Rev 4:8).
These stars of astrology are backed by the following spirits, spirit of infirmity or weakness (Luke 13:11), mute spirit (Mark 9:25), dumb spirit (Mark 9:25), distressing spirit (1 Samuel 16:14), foul spirit (Rev 18:2), unclean spirit (Matt 10:1), spirit of divination (Acts 16:16), spirit of bondage (Rom 8:15), spirit of error (1 John 4:6), spirit of the world (1 Cor 2:12), deceiving spirits (1 Tim 4:1), jealous spirit (Num 5:14), lying spirit (2 Chronicles 18:21), familiar spirit (Deut 18:11), spirit of antichrist (1 John 4:3), spirit of fear (2 Tim 1:7), perverse spirit (Isaiah 29:10), sorrowful spirit (1 Sam 1:15), spirit of harlotry (Hos 4:12), different spirit (2 Cor 11:4), spirit of ill will (Judges 9:23), etc...to act as a counterfeit stars to the original intended stars which God created them to be. So they wield their influence on humankind to lead them to a religion which takes them away from God the Sovereign who is Holy, and instead lead them to the gods among the demons who hold higher powers and are unholy to lead the destiny of people towards hell and evil which the Lord hates as a abomination (1 Cor 8:5-6).
We know that the astrologers of Egypt were able to do miracles of power up to a certain extent and were challenging Moses and Aaron, until they began to see the finger of God which separated the real from all the counterfeit of the evil one which was no more able to challenge the real power of the God who is sovereign and rules over the whole universe (Exo 8:18-19).
The fallen angels have communication network to know all the details about the past and present of all humans which they will use to bring fear and control them to make them believe that the future too is held in their hands. This is what the fami-liar [(i.e.) familiar lies based on the history of the genetics] spirits which follows us to make us humans fearful of it will try to do, and once we bite their hook of fear, we get caught in their bondage of ruling over us to fulfill their evil plans from their leader Satan to come to pass (1 Sam 28:3-25; Isa 8:19-22; 29:4; Gen 4:14-16; Eph 6:12).
So the fallen angels map out the familiar characteristics of a human and bring out of horoscope a future for each families to lead them in to a false belief which surely leads them in to all scope of horror and fear only, they lead people to all places other than the Sovereign God who only is worthy to be believed and trusted with their destiny as their Creator God (Eccl 12:1).
Hence God says to His own people, "And beware not to lift up your eyes to heaven and see the sun and the moon and the stars, all the host of heaven, and be drawn away and worship them and serve them, those which the Lord your God has allotted to all the peoples under the whole heaven." (Deuteronomy 4:19, NASB). Here in the above verse we see a direct connection that God highlights between "the sun and the moon and the stars" and all the "host of heaven" which are fallen angels who have sided with Satan as their leader to influence the world against God and His will, they as personalities have the power to influence people to "be drawn away and worship them and serve them", which God has given as a choice between Him and them to choose to by their own voluntary will, "which the Lord your God has allotted to all the peoples under the whole heaven". While God has always ruled His people on earth by His own hand, he has allowed the Gentiles of other nations to choose their own future if they wish by following after the rulership of angels and demons (1 Cor 5:5-6, 7), if they choose instead of seeking Him which is the primary purpose for which God has created all humans ultimately (Acts 17:26-27). When the Most High gave the nations their inheritance, when he divided all mankind, he set up boundaries for the peoples according to the number of the sons of Israel (Deut 32:8), which shows to us that the number 12 of Zodiac came out of the equivalence of the twelve tribes of Israel which is the basis for all the divisions of all the rest of the world under the rulership of angels to whom they are subject to by their own choice in worshiping the host of heaven by the deceptive belief that the literal sun, moon and the stars of the planets have the power to influence their destiny, which the fallen angels use in their kingdom of darkness to bring people in to subjection to their governance through fear and horror.
While the astrologers under the demonic influence even until today they continue to do their work of predicting the future of the world, God openly challenges them saying, "You are wearied with your many counsels; Let now the astrologers, those who prophesy by the stars, those who predict by the new moons, stand up and save you from what will come upon you." (Isaiah 47:13, NASB). Until today God makes know in all the world His glory by sending disasters in all the world for their sins, and tells them to predict and stop the disasters that come their way to cause destruction (Psa 7:11), especially as Jesus has openly predicted about the end time disasters and tells the world to take heed to his message from God to turn from sin and be saved from it through believing Him (Matt 24:3-14; Luke 13:1-5; Rom 9:22-23).
So God says to all the people of the world now, "So do not listen to your prophets, your diviners, your dreamers, your fortune-tellers, or your sorcerers, who are saying to you," speaking things to divert your attention away from God Almighty and His will for your lives (Jer 27:9; 29:11). Turn to God the Creator through Jesus Christ and be saved! God has indicated that when Jesus Christ will come to the earth to rule for a thousand years time, at that time none "shall have tellers of fortunes anymore" (Mic 5:12), as the Kings of Kings will only rule the world along with all the saints on this same earth for a thousand years time with righteousness and with a rod of iron (Rev 2:27; Psa 2:9).
The royal astrologers of the Babylonian court which was the most powerful in the whole world at that time and generation were put to shame by God’s prophet Daniel (Daniel 1:20) and were powerless to tell the dream and as well as interpret the king’s dream (Daniel 2:27). In the kingdom of Egypt, the magician counselors in the King's court that ruled the world at that time in that generation were not able to interpret the dream that came to its king (Gen 41:8), but Joseph the young and humble man of God was able to determine the exact meaning of the king's dream and work towards rescuing the whole world of nations and its people out of a deathly famine by storing during time of abundant harvest, and thus supply food to the people of the world and preserve their lives and destiny that God had for them ahead by acting as the next in command to the king (Gen 41:1-57). God specifies astrologers as among those who will be burned as stubble in God’s judgment because it turns all human beings away from the Sovereign God who deserves their awe, respect and adoration of worship which is giving worth-ship to Him as their Creator which leads them to eternal salvation (Isaiah 47:13-14; 45:20-22). God forbade the children of Israel to worship the literal stars and in turn be misled to serve the “host of heaven” (Deuteronomy 4:19), who were actually the spiritual stars of fallen angels who were really behind the worshiping of the stars of the constellation of heavens through Zodiac and astrology. Astronomy is science of studying about the objects in heaven, but astrology is worshiping of the stars to know the destiny of their own lives which acts as a substitute religion for misleading people away from the true God who holds the destiny of all the people all around the world.
So it is true that each family, tribe and nation has a specific natural character and specific qualities of goodness of the image of God, and as well as weaknesses through the sin nature that will act through them (Gen 1:27; Jam 3:9, 10-12; 1:14-16; Jer 13:23). But that does not keep the God of all blessing who turns the curses of man to become a blessing from influencing the destiny of man to become good, rather than the Karma of unbelief ((i.e.) in Hinduism and Buddhism) which is the sum of a person's actions in this and previous states of existence, viewed as deciding their fate in future existences. In other words, we cannot change our destiny once we are born in this world, which is the lie of the devil that he spreads around the world and makes a religion out of it to keep people in the wrong destiny towards hell and death eternally in their natural state against the good destiny that God has for each person (Prov 14:12). Religion kills man and leads him to eternal separation from God, but relationship with God gives eternal friendship with Him and makes us look forward to live with Him in our afterlife. O what a blessed privilege we have in Christ Jesus! God says, believe me and trust my Words given to you through the Bible, my written promise, then understand that I have your destiny in my hand which I will fulfill it in My time and My place for you to be a blessing to this world around you (Isa 49:16).
Never believe Satan's lies and instead always believe God's truth and His eternal word which has been revealed to us humans as a love letter from God through the Old and the New Testament Divinely inspired infallible Book which is the Bible (2 Tim 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21). If we believe God's destiny, we will fulfill it and be led to a eternal friendship with Him forevermore. If we believe Satan's destiny of self, sin and lust, we will be led to eternal death of hell fire without God and his goodness, which is the destiny which was actually first determined for Satan and his demons, and now humans who side themselves with them get to accompany them by their own choice to hell fire which was made for the Devil and his fallen angels primarily (Matt 25:41, 46). For those humans who go to hell, they choose hell by their own choice and cannot blame God for it who has already sent His only begotten Son Jesus Christ to rescue all humans who believe Him to be with Him in friendship for the rest of their eternity ahead (John 3:16).
The signs of Zodiac and astrology are very deceitful and clever counterfeits of Satan and his demons to lead the people of God astray from the will of God, so that several times in the history of the nation of Israel as God's people fell into that very sin because of their rebellion and fleshly indulgence by taking their eyes off God, and keeping it on the heathen people around them and thus learning their ways (2 Kings 17:16 is one example), God chastised his children and took them through wilderness hardships to again make them turn towards Him (Hos 2:14; Heb 12:7; Jud 4:1-3). Their worship of the stars brought God’s judgment each time without fail.
Our wisdom comes from God, and it should not come from our flesh or the fallen angels, as we as the people of God are not appointed for the fallen stars guidance (James 1:5; 3:15), but rather the Word of God, the Bible, which is our guide through out this life until our very end, after which we will be directly guided by God from within minutely as we will lose our sin nature after death forever to be with God in heaven (Psalm 119:105; Isa 30:21). Hallelujah!
Thus it is our duty to obey God when He says, "Learn not the way of the nations, nor be dismayed at the signs of the heavens because the nations are dismayed at them." (Jer 10:2). In rebellion against God in our curiosity to know the unknown, if we choose to learn the ways of the nations which are ruled by Zodiac and Astrology, then we will become dismayed at the signs of the heavens just as the nations that do not know God are dismayed at them (Luke 21:25-26). Who will you believe, God or the Zodiac signs? God holds your future and can turn the curses that affect you in to a blessing, zodiac predicts and brings fear to destroy faith of people and turn them away from God Almighty. What will you believe? The Bible or the horoscope? When you believe the Bible, you are safely led by the Lord eternally in to the place prepared for you then in the ever after, and now all of us as believers are protected by God's sovereign hand of protection in the midst of all chaos that happens in the world around us in our day to day life (John 14:1-4; Psa 91:7-8). Those who choose astrology and horoscope, will end up in hell fire because of their own choice to follow the fallen angels who were the designers of it to take people away from the true God of the Bible. Repent! Be warned of the impending judgment by the Word of God and Jesus for sin that is happening all over the world in our generation, sins especially like unfaithfulness towards the Creator of all humans by following after gods of human whims and fancies engineered by the fallen angels who rule the world of humans through controlling their imaginations (1 Pet 4:17; Rev 14:6-7).
As for the people of God, God has warned, "If a prophet or a dreamer of dreams arises among you and gives you a sign or a wonder, and the sign or wonder that he tells you comes to pass, and if he says, ‘Let us go after other gods,’ which you have not known, ‘and let us serve them,’ you shall not listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams. For the Lord your God is testing you, to know whether you love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul." (Deut 13:1-3).In other words, every sign of Zodiac and astrology that seems to be so much true and wonderful to behold by the eyes of human is a test, whether His people will obey God or the sign or a wonder working person who calls himself prophet or a dreamer of dreams who will want to lead them to go after others gods which we have not know or have served them in our past life. Whom will you worship and serve, as for me and my household, we will only serve the Lord (Jos 24:15)! Hallelujah!

Then I also told that I feel like I have been stuck somewhere spiritually and how I felt fear continue in me, then he told me to open the Bible and turn to Deut 18:9-14 and read the following Scriptures, " 9 “When you come into the land which the LORD your God is giving you, you shall not learn to follow the abominations of those nations. 10 There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, or one who practices witchcraft, or a soothsayer, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer, 11 or one who conjures spells, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead. 12 For all who do these things are an abomination to the LORD, and because of these abominations the LORD your God drives them out from before you. 13 You shall be blameless before the LORD your God. 14 For these nations which you will dispossess listened to soothsayers and diviners; but as for you, the LORD your God has not appointed such for you."
Then my father related to to expound the above Scripture to me and my situation from the Bible to make me understand that signs, stars, omens decided by its influence like saying this is a good time or a day, and something else is a bad time or a day, "soothsayers and diviners" foretelling about one's future or past or even calculating the nature of someone based on the Zodiac signs are abominations to our Lord God and it brings legal authority of Satanic means and methods to bring blame on our soul before God and opens the door to the evil one voluntarily, even though we see such things initially only with curiosity of mind and not with an intention to get involved in it. Also he said that "the LORD our God has not appointed such for" us, so getting involved is any of it might make us become displeasing to the Lord as He is a jealous God with a godly love for His children and a angry judge against those who want to destroy them (Jam 4:5; Gen 6:5; Exo 34:14; 20:5). Then he told me to humble and repent of it before the Lord (1 Pet 5:5-7), and also edified me saying, God has not given a spirit of fear leading to bondage, but rather the spirit of power to love and have sound mind within us to think about God and have a great friendship with Him (2 Tim 1:7), of which I understood and got it etched in my soul from that time onward. Then he prayed over me and the spirit of fear, doom and gloom left me immediately and I stood up rejoicing in the Lord.
From that time onward I have learned to be sober and vigilant regarding my adversary the devil who walks about like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour, and have learned by experience to resist the curiosity to take the bait of Satan and his demonic counterfeits which looks very closely to the real optimism and rejoicing from God's prophetic words but are doomed to bring us in to his evil power to control and manipulate our lives (1 Pet 5:8-9; Rev 2:24).
Is It All Real Truth Or Reel Lies?
To be curious to know whether the Bible does speak about these Zodiac signs and astrology is good as long as we do not become curious enough to get caught in it against the will of God.
Astrology in itself is the study of the movements and relative positions of celestial bodies interpreted as having an influence on human affairs and the natural world.
God asked Job this question when he wailed against God for his bad circumstances, "Do you know the ordinances of the heavens? Can you set their dominion over the earth?" (Job 38:33), which does mean that the heavenlies with all its angelic watchership over the world is subject to them under God (Heb 2:5; Dan 4:13, 16), so I believe only the saints of the Church are in direct rulership by God through His servants of the fivefold ministries on earth (Eph 4:7-16; 1 Cor 6:1-8).
Most basic to our understanding of the literal stars is that God created them. They show His power and majesty. The heavens are God’s “handiwork” (Psalm 8:3; 19:1). He has all the stars numbered and named (Psalm 147:4).
God arranged the stars in constellations which are a group of stars forming a recognizable pattern that is traditionally named after its apparent form or identified with a mythological figure by the world of humans who are also the reason to create religion in partnership with the fallen angels wisdom of the world.
The Bible mentions three of these: Orion, the Bear (Ursa Major), and “the crooked serpent” (most likely Draco) in Job 9:9; 26:13; 38:31-32; and Amos 5:8. The same passages also reference the star group Pleiades (the Seven Stars). God is the One Who “fastens the bands” of these constellations; He is the One who brings them forth, “each in its season.” In Job 38:32, God also points to the “Mazzaroth,” usually translated “constellations.”
The constellations have been tracked and studied for millennia by Egyptians and Greeks who knew of the zodiac and used it to measure the beginning of spring centuries before Christ. Even the kings from the east in the Bible which points to the Babylonians of those times were led by the special star in the heaven and began to interpret its uniqueness because they were looking to the heavens for the Messiah to come and save them (Matt 2:2). God responded to their faith and rightly led them to Jerusalem and then to the exact spot in Bethlehem where Jesus Christ was born.
God used the stars as an illustration of His promise to give Abraham an innumerable seed (Genesis 15:5). Thus, every time Abraham looked up at the night sky, he had a reminder of God’s faithfulness and goodness in his spiritual life that is going to be fulfilled through his son Isaac and ultimately in Christ Jesus. And to us who look in to the night sky, we see a promise of the souls that are going to be saved through the gospel we share to others around us. God's signs of his doings are written by Him in the sun, moon, stars and the planets (Psa 19:1). The final judgment of the earth will be accompanied by astronomical events relating to the stars (Isaiah 13:9-10; Joel 3:15; Matthew 24:29).
In the Bible we find that stars, along with the sun and moon, were given for “signs” and “seasons” (Genesis 1:14); that is, they were meant to mark time for us and each generations on earth till the end of the world, but no where God has indicated that the humanly assumed influence of the the stars (and planets) have power over the human destiny to exert its influence over them. This is a false belief. Therefore we come to know that the Bible does not indicate any “hidden meaning” for these Zodiac stars or other constellations... But if we look a little deep to ask ourselves the question, how come we are able to see the characteristics of certain people, I mean up to a certain extent to calculate and find their character and nature through these signs? There we are delving deeper still in to the spiritual world behind the beliefs of people.
Stars Of Constellation Only Or It Means More Than That?
I believe we need to understand something more than the plain stars, God's spiritual definition of the stars are in reality the angels as I said who have so much influence over the destiny of humans as they are the watchers who watch the family bloodline, and even when a little child is born they watch over it until they leave this earth (Psa 91:11-12). That is why Jesus brought a little child and said, "See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that in heaven their angels always see the face of my Father who is in heaven." (Matt 18:10, ESV). That does mean, that the stars of God in His original intention were angels of light who obeyed God to fulfill His word and destiny for the the human race, but when one third of the angels of light became the fallen angels of darkness to join along with Satan and his one third of demons to begin a kingdom on earth against the will of God for humans, they acted against the destiny of God by luring them in to a destiny of their own through money and the pride of life, sex drive and the lust of the flesh and self will fulfilled through the lust of the eyes (1 John 2:15-17), and thus began to act as familiar spirits to deceive humans and started to develop the belief of astrology in the mind of humans to turn them away from the sovereign God who rules over the destiny of those whom He has created for His own Glory (Job 38:6-7; Rev 12:4). All the man made religions are a offshoot of this thinking that Satan and his demons have ingrained in the thinking of humans and especially in the Hindu nation of India, you can see many of these ancient belief system that are ingrained to turn people away from the Sovereign God who rules the whole earth through His Holiness (Rev 4:8).
These stars of astrology are backed by the following spirits, spirit of infirmity or weakness (Luke 13:11), mute spirit (Mark 9:25), dumb spirit (Mark 9:25), distressing spirit (1 Samuel 16:14), foul spirit (Rev 18:2), unclean spirit (Matt 10:1), spirit of divination (Acts 16:16), spirit of bondage (Rom 8:15), spirit of error (1 John 4:6), spirit of the world (1 Cor 2:12), deceiving spirits (1 Tim 4:1), jealous spirit (Num 5:14), lying spirit (2 Chronicles 18:21), familiar spirit (Deut 18:11), spirit of antichrist (1 John 4:3), spirit of fear (2 Tim 1:7), perverse spirit (Isaiah 29:10), sorrowful spirit (1 Sam 1:15), spirit of harlotry (Hos 4:12), different spirit (2 Cor 11:4), spirit of ill will (Judges 9:23), etc...to act as a counterfeit stars to the original intended stars which God created them to be. So they wield their influence on humankind to lead them to a religion which takes them away from God the Sovereign who is Holy, and instead lead them to the gods among the demons who hold higher powers and are unholy to lead the destiny of people towards hell and evil which the Lord hates as a abomination (1 Cor 8:5-6).
We know that the astrologers of Egypt were able to do miracles of power up to a certain extent and were challenging Moses and Aaron, until they began to see the finger of God which separated the real from all the counterfeit of the evil one which was no more able to challenge the real power of the God who is sovereign and rules over the whole universe (Exo 8:18-19).
The fallen angels have communication network to know all the details about the past and present of all humans which they will use to bring fear and control them to make them believe that the future too is held in their hands. This is what the fami-liar [(i.e.) familiar lies based on the history of the genetics] spirits which follows us to make us humans fearful of it will try to do, and once we bite their hook of fear, we get caught in their bondage of ruling over us to fulfill their evil plans from their leader Satan to come to pass (1 Sam 28:3-25; Isa 8:19-22; 29:4; Gen 4:14-16; Eph 6:12).
So the fallen angels map out the familiar characteristics of a human and bring out of horoscope a future for each families to lead them in to a false belief which surely leads them in to all scope of horror and fear only, they lead people to all places other than the Sovereign God who only is worthy to be believed and trusted with their destiny as their Creator God (Eccl 12:1).
Hence God says to His own people, "And beware not to lift up your eyes to heaven and see the sun and the moon and the stars, all the host of heaven, and be drawn away and worship them and serve them, those which the Lord your God has allotted to all the peoples under the whole heaven." (Deuteronomy 4:19, NASB). Here in the above verse we see a direct connection that God highlights between "the sun and the moon and the stars" and all the "host of heaven" which are fallen angels who have sided with Satan as their leader to influence the world against God and His will, they as personalities have the power to influence people to "be drawn away and worship them and serve them", which God has given as a choice between Him and them to choose to by their own voluntary will, "which the Lord your God has allotted to all the peoples under the whole heaven". While God has always ruled His people on earth by His own hand, he has allowed the Gentiles of other nations to choose their own future if they wish by following after the rulership of angels and demons (1 Cor 5:5-6, 7), if they choose instead of seeking Him which is the primary purpose for which God has created all humans ultimately (Acts 17:26-27). When the Most High gave the nations their inheritance, when he divided all mankind, he set up boundaries for the peoples according to the number of the sons of Israel (Deut 32:8), which shows to us that the number 12 of Zodiac came out of the equivalence of the twelve tribes of Israel which is the basis for all the divisions of all the rest of the world under the rulership of angels to whom they are subject to by their own choice in worshiping the host of heaven by the deceptive belief that the literal sun, moon and the stars of the planets have the power to influence their destiny, which the fallen angels use in their kingdom of darkness to bring people in to subjection to their governance through fear and horror.
While the astrologers under the demonic influence even until today they continue to do their work of predicting the future of the world, God openly challenges them saying, "You are wearied with your many counsels; Let now the astrologers, those who prophesy by the stars, those who predict by the new moons, stand up and save you from what will come upon you." (Isaiah 47:13, NASB). Until today God makes know in all the world His glory by sending disasters in all the world for their sins, and tells them to predict and stop the disasters that come their way to cause destruction (Psa 7:11), especially as Jesus has openly predicted about the end time disasters and tells the world to take heed to his message from God to turn from sin and be saved from it through believing Him (Matt 24:3-14; Luke 13:1-5; Rom 9:22-23).
So God says to all the people of the world now, "So do not listen to your prophets, your diviners, your dreamers, your fortune-tellers, or your sorcerers, who are saying to you," speaking things to divert your attention away from God Almighty and His will for your lives (Jer 27:9; 29:11). Turn to God the Creator through Jesus Christ and be saved! God has indicated that when Jesus Christ will come to the earth to rule for a thousand years time, at that time none "shall have tellers of fortunes anymore" (Mic 5:12), as the Kings of Kings will only rule the world along with all the saints on this same earth for a thousand years time with righteousness and with a rod of iron (Rev 2:27; Psa 2:9).
So What Is The Bottom Line?
The royal astrologers of the Babylonian court which was the most powerful in the whole world at that time and generation were put to shame by God’s prophet Daniel (Daniel 1:20) and were powerless to tell the dream and as well as interpret the king’s dream (Daniel 2:27). In the kingdom of Egypt, the magician counselors in the King's court that ruled the world at that time in that generation were not able to interpret the dream that came to its king (Gen 41:8), but Joseph the young and humble man of God was able to determine the exact meaning of the king's dream and work towards rescuing the whole world of nations and its people out of a deathly famine by storing during time of abundant harvest, and thus supply food to the people of the world and preserve their lives and destiny that God had for them ahead by acting as the next in command to the king (Gen 41:1-57). God specifies astrologers as among those who will be burned as stubble in God’s judgment because it turns all human beings away from the Sovereign God who deserves their awe, respect and adoration of worship which is giving worth-ship to Him as their Creator which leads them to eternal salvation (Isaiah 47:13-14; 45:20-22). God forbade the children of Israel to worship the literal stars and in turn be misled to serve the “host of heaven” (Deuteronomy 4:19), who were actually the spiritual stars of fallen angels who were really behind the worshiping of the stars of the constellation of heavens through Zodiac and astrology. Astronomy is science of studying about the objects in heaven, but astrology is worshiping of the stars to know the destiny of their own lives which acts as a substitute religion for misleading people away from the true God who holds the destiny of all the people all around the world.
So it is true that each family, tribe and nation has a specific natural character and specific qualities of goodness of the image of God, and as well as weaknesses through the sin nature that will act through them (Gen 1:27; Jam 3:9, 10-12; 1:14-16; Jer 13:23). But that does not keep the God of all blessing who turns the curses of man to become a blessing from influencing the destiny of man to become good, rather than the Karma of unbelief ((i.e.) in Hinduism and Buddhism) which is the sum of a person's actions in this and previous states of existence, viewed as deciding their fate in future existences. In other words, we cannot change our destiny once we are born in this world, which is the lie of the devil that he spreads around the world and makes a religion out of it to keep people in the wrong destiny towards hell and death eternally in their natural state against the good destiny that God has for each person (Prov 14:12). Religion kills man and leads him to eternal separation from God, but relationship with God gives eternal friendship with Him and makes us look forward to live with Him in our afterlife. O what a blessed privilege we have in Christ Jesus! God says, believe me and trust my Words given to you through the Bible, my written promise, then understand that I have your destiny in my hand which I will fulfill it in My time and My place for you to be a blessing to this world around you (Isa 49:16).
Never believe Satan's lies and instead always believe God's truth and His eternal word which has been revealed to us humans as a love letter from God through the Old and the New Testament Divinely inspired infallible Book which is the Bible (2 Tim 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21). If we believe God's destiny, we will fulfill it and be led to a eternal friendship with Him forevermore. If we believe Satan's destiny of self, sin and lust, we will be led to eternal death of hell fire without God and his goodness, which is the destiny which was actually first determined for Satan and his demons, and now humans who side themselves with them get to accompany them by their own choice to hell fire which was made for the Devil and his fallen angels primarily (Matt 25:41, 46). For those humans who go to hell, they choose hell by their own choice and cannot blame God for it who has already sent His only begotten Son Jesus Christ to rescue all humans who believe Him to be with Him in friendship for the rest of their eternity ahead (John 3:16).
The signs of Zodiac and astrology are very deceitful and clever counterfeits of Satan and his demons to lead the people of God astray from the will of God, so that several times in the history of the nation of Israel as God's people fell into that very sin because of their rebellion and fleshly indulgence by taking their eyes off God, and keeping it on the heathen people around them and thus learning their ways (2 Kings 17:16 is one example), God chastised his children and took them through wilderness hardships to again make them turn towards Him (Hos 2:14; Heb 12:7; Jud 4:1-3). Their worship of the stars brought God’s judgment each time without fail.
Our wisdom comes from God, and it should not come from our flesh or the fallen angels, as we as the people of God are not appointed for the fallen stars guidance (James 1:5; 3:15), but rather the Word of God, the Bible, which is our guide through out this life until our very end, after which we will be directly guided by God from within minutely as we will lose our sin nature after death forever to be with God in heaven (Psalm 119:105; Isa 30:21). Hallelujah!
Thus it is our duty to obey God when He says, "Learn not the way of the nations, nor be dismayed at the signs of the heavens because the nations are dismayed at them." (Jer 10:2). In rebellion against God in our curiosity to know the unknown, if we choose to learn the ways of the nations which are ruled by Zodiac and Astrology, then we will become dismayed at the signs of the heavens just as the nations that do not know God are dismayed at them (Luke 21:25-26). Who will you believe, God or the Zodiac signs? God holds your future and can turn the curses that affect you in to a blessing, zodiac predicts and brings fear to destroy faith of people and turn them away from God Almighty. What will you believe? The Bible or the horoscope? When you believe the Bible, you are safely led by the Lord eternally in to the place prepared for you then in the ever after, and now all of us as believers are protected by God's sovereign hand of protection in the midst of all chaos that happens in the world around us in our day to day life (John 14:1-4; Psa 91:7-8). Those who choose astrology and horoscope, will end up in hell fire because of their own choice to follow the fallen angels who were the designers of it to take people away from the true God of the Bible. Repent! Be warned of the impending judgment by the Word of God and Jesus for sin that is happening all over the world in our generation, sins especially like unfaithfulness towards the Creator of all humans by following after gods of human whims and fancies engineered by the fallen angels who rule the world of humans through controlling their imaginations (1 Pet 4:17; Rev 14:6-7).
As for the people of God, God has warned, "If a prophet or a dreamer of dreams arises among you and gives you a sign or a wonder, and the sign or wonder that he tells you comes to pass, and if he says, ‘Let us go after other gods,’ which you have not known, ‘and let us serve them,’ you shall not listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams. For the Lord your God is testing you, to know whether you love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul." (Deut 13:1-3).In other words, every sign of Zodiac and astrology that seems to be so much true and wonderful to behold by the eyes of human is a test, whether His people will obey God or the sign or a wonder working person who calls himself prophet or a dreamer of dreams who will want to lead them to go after others gods which we have not know or have served them in our past life. Whom will you worship and serve, as for me and my household, we will only serve the Lord (Jos 24:15)! Hallelujah!
