Did Jesus In The Bible Foretell About The Rise Of Catholicism And Islam?
Question : Do you think that Jesus prophesied or foretold about both the Catholic Church and Islam any where, because together they add up to nearly half of the world's population? I do believe that somewhere there must be a answer to it? Can you little bit explain where we are in the present scenario of the end in relations to these religious system? How near we are to the end?
Answer : Greetings in Jesus wonderful name! I believe it has been foretold by Jesus and also it serves as a warning about the deception that is going to come through these religions.
Right now we see the present pope goes to Mosques around the world to tell them that the God whom the Muslims worship and the catholic Christians worship is the same, and there should be peace between us if we all love each other and respect each other.
Little do all realize that the "stumbling stone" is actually Christ (Rom 9:33), Christ ""...is the stone that makes people stumble, the rock that makes them fall." They stumble because they do not obey God's word, and so they meet the fate that was planned for them." (1 Pet 2:8, NLT). Perhaps, if the Antichrist and pope could take out Christ and bring a deceptive message of equality of all religion as they all worship one monotheistic god, then perhaps as soon as possible we have a scenario of Muslims, Catholics and Jews coming together under a one world religious banner to bring the whole world in to its fold. The clock is surely ticking nearer and nearer for that day....
First of all the monotheistic God of the Christians cannot be the god of other religions because, all Christians have one God who is three in person. The three persons are, The Father who is the first person of the Trinity, The Son who is the second person of the Trinity and The Holy Spirit who is the third person of the Trinity. The three have one name, one essence and are one in equality (Matt 28:19). The God of Islam is actually antichrist according to the Bible because it denies the Father and the Son relationship of the Trinity (1 John 5:12). The Muslim and Jews both deny the fact that Jesus the Messiah has already come and have died to save them from sin to give eternal life, actually this is the spirit of antichrist that denies the relationship of the Father to the Son too (1 John 2:22-23). So at the very outset, all these religions will deny the very basic of Christian faith, without which only a false christian religion will remain which is the harlot church of the end that will not be faithful and loyal to Jesus Christ and the message of the Gospel.
When the disciples and apostles enquired about the future happening of the end time, Jesus said, "...4 Take heed that no one deceives you...21 For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22 And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened. 23 “Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There!’ do not believe it. 24 For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. 25 See, I have told you beforehand. 26 “Therefore if they say to you, ‘Look, He is in the desert!’ do not go out; or ‘Look, He is in the inner rooms!’ do not believe it." (Matt 24:4, 21-26).
When Jesus warned the believers like this saying, "For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect, " He was in fact telling about the rise of two main stream message that is going to deceive, if possible, even the elect, which are rise of Catholicism and Islam. In other words, Jesus was able to foresee all the false christs of popes and their messages of deception along with Muhammad who was born in Makkah in the year 570 A.D. and died 632. The message of Muhammed was not just antichrist in its core, but completely false as the canon of Scripture has been closed with the last Book of the Bible which is Revelation. So there arose false prophets who continued to carry on this deceptive message which is more a political message with a religious overtones and tradition trying to conquer the world by deception and force of using threat, murder and cataclysm to bring fear and make people become subjects to its tryannical and demonic ideology. This has clearly been foretold by Jesus.
Here in the above verses, we see the prophecy in which the rise of Catholicism and rise of Islam has been prophesied by Jesus. These are the two major end time religion that are present today. Two categories Jesus Christ divided them, first "false christs and [then] false prophets," the first started with a false assumption that Peter was the first pope who is put as the rock of foundation for the Church and the second one was started when Muhammad proclaimed himself as the last prophet and wrote additional so called scriptural revelation when already in the last book of the Bible which is Revelation, in it itself Jesus has closed the canon of the Scripture never to add or remove anything from it, which will bring a curse upon those who do it He said. Also Muhammed denied the deity of Christ which is the very basis upon which Christianity stands as unique, but accepted him as the prophet. When Jesus during the time of Tribulation of the end warned people of deception which will say, "Look, He is in the desert!," it speaks about the religion of the desert of Arabia which Mohammed started around 620 A.D, that has today a followers base of nearly 2.08 billion approx. Jesus said, when people say. "‘Look, He is in the inner rooms!’ do not believe it.", He was actually speaking about antichrist of successive pope's who tried to take the place of Christ in the inner room and have formed a church of harlotry of the end time religions.
While all the Christians together is averaged approx 2.01 billion approx, with in it the catholic church stands with 1.254 billion followers base around the world. Together Catholicism and Islam has been prophesied by Jesus to be the major religions of the end which will deceive people with a direct spirit of antichrist, if possible even the elect who are saved by Jesus and are with in the true Church of God, if they as children of God will take their eyes off Jesus that will make them fall in to the sinful net of Antichrist to be deceived and go with the world to miss their great inheritance God has for them (Rev 3:11).
With the influence of Constantine (A.D. 280-337), who made Christianity a “religion of power,” the bishops strengthened and increased their privileges. Jesus never elevated one bishop over others, but rather established an equable office for service (Eph 4:11). “Bishops,” “elders,” and “pastors” were titles which the New Testament writers used interchangeably (e.g., Acts 20:17,28; Titus 1:5,7; 1 Peter 5:1-4). With the influence of Constantine (A.D. 280-337), who made Christianity a “religion of power,” the bishops strengthened and increased their privileges. During this time there were five metropolises: Rome, Alexandria, Antioch, Constantinople, and Jerusalem. Rome in the West and Constantinople in the East gained greater prominence because of their locations. While the power of the episcopacy grew in these cities, so did the controversy over which of these two cities, and their representative churches and bishops, should have supremacy. On October 10, 366, a man named Damasus was elected Bishop of Rome. Then the Church of Rome was supreme over all others, because they falsely believed Jesus placed Peter above the rest, elevating him as the cornerstone of the church itself which He never did because in the book of Galatians he is told by apostle Paul as the apostle to Jews only and not to the Gentiles church for whom Paul was the apostle ordained by God (Gal 2:8). Just as there should be only one husband with authority over one wife, there is only one Person with authority over the One Church. That Person is Jesus Christ! Any other who boasts himself as the head other than Jesus Christ, must be the head of the harlot Church and not the true One.
Thus we seen in the end time a harlot Church which persecuted the real Church saints of the ages in the past since the time of Jesus Christ, again raises itself up in the world state of supremacy with political influence to deceive the whole world to accept one world religion of apostasy and to make them depart from the true faith, and also do the same to the Tribulation saints of the end time joining hands along with Antichrist and False Prophet of the end (Rev 17:1-4, 5, 6, 7; 18:1, 4, 17, 18, 19-20, 23-24; Rev 12:9; 13:3, 4-5, 7-8, 11-18). This harlot Church will be bombed in one day in which the whole city of Vatican will be set on fire by Antichrist, after he comes to take the power over the whole world sitting in the temple of Jews at Jerusalem boasting himself as God (2 Thess 2:1, 3, 4). Once the abomination of desolation happens in the Mid-point of Daniel's 70th week, immediately after that rapture will happen first, then tribulation will start and finally at the end of it Jesus will come with the saints to defeat the Antichrist and to establish and rule the earth for the next thousand years (2 Thess 2:6-8, 9-11, 12). Almost we can hear the Trumpet sound dear saints, get ready for the rapture!!!
How do we know that the rise of Islam as a world religion of power is one of the indication of the end of end times? God says out of Islam will come a Assyrian. The Antichrist will be called, known, designated, and identified as "The Assyrian." (Isa 10:5-6, 24-25). The Assyrian according to the prophecy of Ezekiel, will neither be a Christian or a Jew, then naturally he will be a Muslim (Ezek 44:7-8). The Man of Sin must come from this particular and specific region of the Middle East. Today, the indigenous Assyrian homeland areas are "part of today's northern Iraq, southeastern Turkey, northwestern Iran and northeastern Syria". Will it be a Muslim Messiah who will become then as the Antichrist of the Bible, yes it is. There is no direct reference to a messiah in the Koran, however Islam has a strong tradition of Mahdi, a redeemer of Islam who will come as a ruler. For Sunni Muslims, the Mahdi is the Prophet Muhammad’s successor who is yet to come. For most Shia Muslims, the Mahdi was born but disappeared and will remain hidden from humanity until he reappears to bring justice to the world. The majority of Muslims are Sunnis - estimates suggest the figure is somewhere between 85% and 90%. Sunni and Shia Islam are the two major denominations of Islam, which split when the Islamic prophet Muhammad died in the year 632, leading to a dispute over succession to Muhammad as a caliph of the Islamic community spread across various parts of the world. Shias make up the majority of the Muslim population in Iran (around 95%), Azerbaijan (around 90%), Iraq (around 75%) and Bahrain (around 70%). While Sunnis court in Saudi Arabia upholds death sentence for pro-democracy, at the same time they believe that the succession of ruler can be any practicing Muslim, the Shias believe in selecting their caliph by Muhammad nominated successor [i.e. 12 Infallible Imams; the 12th Muhammad AlMahdi whom they are waiting to appear who is (hidden until now)], all these successors were his cousin and son in law Ali ibn Abu Talib.
Daniel's Prophecy reveals more about the Islamic root of Antichrist, "37 He shall regard neither the God of his fathers nor the desire of women, nor regard any god; for he shall exalt himself above them all. 38 But in their place he shall honor a god of fortresses; and a god which his fathers did not know he shall honor with gold and silver, with precious stones and pleasant things. 39 Thus he shall act against the strongest fortresses with a foreign god, which he shall acknowledge, and advance its glory; and he shall cause them to rule over many, and divide the land for gain." (Daniel 11:37-39). Who in the world denies women's desires or the wishes of women? Who takes away women's rights? Who kills their wives and daughters when suspected of dishonoring the family name? I'm certain the women killed had a strong desire to live, don't you think? Do you realize that he honors fortresses and magnificent buildings that are the Islamic trademark of their superiority that they would like to boast about. Have you seen some of these Mosques? They are veritable fortresses. They make their women wear burqas, they behead the infidel and so on to bring fear in the mind of people to make them accept their religion of the desert. The BEAST is definitely Islamic and the clay is definitely Islam. The iron is the western Catholic controlled governments of Europe that will work under Pope. As Daniel says, the feet of the end will be made by mixture of clay and iron which shows the Islamic and Roman Catholic church joining hand to fulfill their end time agenda of world ruler-ship and dominion from Jerusalem (Dan 2:33-34, 35). Telling that those in Islam will never accept the worship of a man claiming to be God, and that the whole concept of an Islamic Antichrist is a fantasy might seem true, but when we see deeply in to Scripture we find that it is not the truth, because in the Book of Revelation we see a Jewish false prophet arises out of no where to deceive the Jews by bringing fire from heaven and make them accept him as Elijah the forerunner Messenger, then he will deceive those who dwell on the earth mainly Muslims and Roman Catholics by those signs which he was granted to do in the sight of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who was wounded by the sword and lived, once the image is set in place that image of the beast will both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed (Rev 13:11-18). We see that when God is the one who sends these deception to deceive the unbelievers of Islam and Roman Catholic earth dwellers, they will all automatically accept him as god their messiah just like we Christian believe Jesus as our Messiah who is also our God (2 Thess 2:9-12).
Another of the Antichrist’s goals according to the Book of Daniel is said to be that he will “try to change the set times and the laws” (Daniel 7:25). Unlike the western calendar of a week; Monday through Friday being the body of the workweek followed by Saturday and Sunday as the weekend with Judaism and Christianity using these two days for their respective days of worship, Islam holds Friday as its sacred day of prayer. This is the day that Muslims meet at the Mosque to pray and listen to a sermon all around the world, a Jewish False Prophet who emerges to become as powerful as the Antichrist with in the middle east is foretold to do all kinds of signs and wonders to deceive and therefore he will do the bidding to Antichrist to bring a one world currency and one world government initially before the Tribulation begins (2 Thess 2:7-8, 9-10, 11-12; Rev 13:11-18), then during the Tribulation he will certainly attempt to institute both the Islamic [Sharia] Law worldwide, and the Islamic calendar and week as well. Then we see Antichrist of the end beheading people in the tradition of Muslim by sword or guillotine in the Bible (Rev 13:15, 10). As Islam is the so called religion of peace, according to Revelation 6:2 and Daniel 9:27, the Antichrist will pose as a man of peace, ready to set the world right. Jesus warned that the Antichrist would mimic the true Messiah and even be accepted even by those Jews who rejected Christ as their true Messiah (John 5:43). The Antichrist is actually only referred to once by that specific name (1 John 2:18), using other names however, there are numerous references to the Antichrist. These are “the Beast” (Revelation 13:4), “the abomination that causes desolation” (Matthew 24:15), “the desolator” (Daniel 9:27), “the man of sin,” “the man of lawlessness,” “the son of destruction,” (2 Thessalonians 2) “the little horn” (Daniel 7:8), “the Assyrian” (Micah 5:5, Isaiah 10:5,14:25), “the oppressor’, “the king of Babylon” (Isaiah 14) and even the mysterious “Gog” (Ezekiel 38:1, Revelation 20:7). Likewise, the Mahdi [Antichrist] of Islam will be the leader of a worldwide worship movement. It will be a worship movement that will seek to cause anyone who practices any religion other than Islam to renounce their faith and worship Allah, the god of Islam initially through threat, terrorism and fear. But as one world global government gets united for peace and safety (1 Thess 5:3), both the Antichrist and the False Prophet who does wonders will rise up globally later within the three and half years of Daniel's 70th week or last 7 years of the end, and will become the unqualified leaders of a global religious movement that will draw worship of all the people away from the God of the Bible and His Son Jesus Christ (Rev 13:14-15). Thus the collision of the spirit of Antichrist in Islam uniting with the Catholic Church and even many charismatic religious movements of evangelical mainstream Christianity, along with all other major religions of the world will come to form a body of One religious worship movement that will take over the world for three and half years, and will lead it in to direct Satanic worship through deception, and therefore lead its followers even straight in to hell fire and eternal damnation (Rev 19:20-21).
Along with the harlot Church of Catholicism led by Antichrists which is a political ideology with a religious overtones of wrong doctrines of works based salvation that led innumerable people in to deception, through the Pope, Satan will reach out to Islam that has a history of false prophets who were led by the spirit of Antichrist and will hand shake with it. This will lead to a end time unprecedented deception that will bring a one world government and religion. How soon it will happen? If you see and keep an eye on day to day news, you will easily understand where we are Biblically in the end time. We are AT THE DOOR where Jesus is standing in heaven ready to come to rapture the Church (Mark 13:29; Matt 24:33, 44), all things are happening already before our very eyes (Matt 24:34-35). Wake up saints and do not be deceived by the message of just grace and love of God without the justice and judgment of God, be born again and get truly saved from sin! Do not run after materialism and sinful indulgences and lawlessness, it will destroy you completely in this end of end time. Always desire and confess to yourself, what ever I have and do is to fulfill the will of God for my life, my family, my city, my nation and nations of the world. There is a one world that is coming whether we like it or not. There is going to be a one world currency and digital transaction of funds flowing constantly all over the world at the click of a button under one system of governance that will make these things easy to do business in any part of the world. But the good benefit of this thing will eventually lead the world in to the very trap of Antichrist and false prophet who will control the whole world and deceive them in to their religion through the flow of funds through their system of governance (Rev 13:17-18). As the personal ambition of Antichrist will takes over to rule the whole world under His control (Rev 13:4-5, 6), the worship of Antichrist's image will happen through the power of Satan who will cause the life of Antichrist to be sustained when he will be mortally wounded, and Satan who will speak literally with his voice instructing the world openly through using the false prophet's miracle to draw people by force and worship him which has been his eternal desire and his cause for fall from heaven, will cause God to rise up in wrath against Satan and his evil government more and more each day, which will culminate at the defeat of the government of Antichrist and establishment of God's government on earth through Jesus and his saints for a thousand years (Rev 13:3-4, 5, 11-16; Dan 7:27).

While Sunnis court in Saudi Arabia upholds death sentence for pro-democracy, at the same time they believe that the succession of ruler can be any practicing Muslim, the Shias believe in selecting their caliph by Muhammad nominated successor [i.e. 12 Infallible Imams; the 12th Muhammad AlMahdi whom they are waiting to appear who is (hidden until now)], all these successors were his cousin and son in law Ali ibn Abu Talib.
Daniel's Prophecy reveals more about the Islamic root of Antichrist, "37 He shall regard neither the God of his fathers nor the desire of women, nor regard any god; for he shall exalt himself above them all. 38 But in their place he shall honor a god of fortresses; and a god which his fathers did not know he shall honor with gold and silver, with precious stones and pleasant things. 39 Thus he shall act against the strongest fortresses with a foreign god, which he shall acknowledge, and advance its glory; and he shall cause them to rule over many, and divide the land for gain." (Daniel 11:37-39). Who in the world denies women's desires or the wishes of women? Who takes away women's rights? Who kills their wives and daughters when suspected of dishonoring the family name? I'm certain the women killed had a strong desire to live, don't you think? Do you realize that he honors fortresses and magnificent buildings that are the Islamic trademark of their superiority that they would like to boast about. Have you seen some of these Mosques? They are veritable fortresses. They make their women wear burqas, they behead the infidel and so on to bring fear in the mind of people to make them accept their religion of the desert. The BEAST is definitely Islamic and the clay is definitely Islam. The iron is the western Catholic controlled governments of Europe that will work under Pope. As Daniel says, the feet of the end will be made by mixture of clay and iron which shows the Islamic and Roman Catholic church joining hand to fulfill their end time agenda of world ruler-ship and dominion from Jerusalem (Dan 2:33-34, 35). Telling that those in Islam will never accept the worship of a man claiming to be God, and that the whole concept of an Islamic Antichrist is a fantasy might seem true, but when we see deeply in to Scripture we find that it is not the truth, because in the Book of Revelation we see a Jewish false prophet arises out of no where to deceive the Jews by bringing fire from heaven and make them accept him as Elijah the forerunner Messenger, then he will deceive those who dwell on the earth mainly Muslims and Roman Catholics by those signs which he was granted to do in the sight of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who was wounded by the sword and lived, once the image is set in place that image of the beast will both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed (Rev 13:11-18). We see that when God is the one who sends these deception to deceive the unbelievers of Islam and Roman Catholic earth dwellers, they will all automatically accept him as god their messiah just like we Christian believe Jesus as our Messiah who is also our God (2 Thess 2:9-12).
Another of the Antichrist’s goals according to the Book of Daniel is said to be that he will “try to change the set times and the laws” (Daniel 7:25). Unlike the western calendar of a week; Monday through Friday being the body of the workweek followed by Saturday and Sunday as the weekend with Judaism and Christianity using these two days for their respective days of worship, Islam holds Friday as its sacred day of prayer. This is the day that Muslims meet at the Mosque to pray and listen to a sermon all around the world, a Jewish False Prophet who emerges to become as powerful as the Antichrist with in the middle east is foretold to do all kinds of signs and wonders to deceive and therefore he will do the bidding to Antichrist to bring a one world currency and one world government initially before the Tribulation begins (2 Thess 2:7-8, 9-10, 11-12; Rev 13:11-18), then during the Tribulation he will certainly attempt to institute both the Islamic [Sharia] Law worldwide, and the Islamic calendar and week as well. Then we see Antichrist of the end beheading people in the tradition of Muslim by sword or guillotine in the Bible (Rev 13:15, 10). As Islam is the so called religion of peace, according to Revelation 6:2 and Daniel 9:27, the Antichrist will pose as a man of peace, ready to set the world right. Jesus warned that the Antichrist would mimic the true Messiah and even be accepted even by those Jews who rejected Christ as their true Messiah (John 5:43). The Antichrist is actually only referred to once by that specific name (1 John 2:18), using other names however, there are numerous references to the Antichrist. These are “the Beast” (Revelation 13:4), “the abomination that causes desolation” (Matthew 24:15), “the desolator” (Daniel 9:27), “the man of sin,” “the man of lawlessness,” “the son of destruction,” (2 Thessalonians 2) “the little horn” (Daniel 7:8), “the Assyrian” (Micah 5:5, Isaiah 10:5,14:25), “the oppressor’, “the king of Babylon” (Isaiah 14) and even the mysterious “Gog” (Ezekiel 38:1, Revelation 20:7). Likewise, the Mahdi [Antichrist] of Islam will be the leader of a worldwide worship movement. It will be a worship movement that will seek to cause anyone who practices any religion other than Islam to renounce their faith and worship Allah, the god of Islam initially through threat, terrorism and fear. But as one world global government gets united for peace and safety (1 Thess 5:3), both the Antichrist and the False Prophet who does wonders will rise up globally later within the three and half years of Daniel's 70th week or last 7 years of the end, and will become the unqualified leaders of a global religious movement that will draw worship of all the people away from the God of the Bible and His Son Jesus Christ (Rev 13:14-15). Thus the collision of the spirit of Antichrist in Islam uniting with the Catholic Church and even many charismatic religious movements of evangelical mainstream Christianity, along with all other major religions of the world will come to form a body of One religious worship movement that will take over the world for three and half years, and will lead it in to direct Satanic worship through deception, and therefore lead its followers even straight in to hell fire and eternal damnation (Rev 19:20-21).
Along with the harlot Church of Catholicism led by Antichrists which is a political ideology with a religious overtones of wrong doctrines of works based salvation that led innumerable people in to deception, through the Pope, Satan will reach out to Islam that has a history of false prophets who were led by the spirit of Antichrist and will hand shake with it. This will lead to a end time unprecedented deception that will bring a one world government and religion. How soon it will happen? If you see and keep an eye on day to day news, you will easily understand where we are Biblically in the end time. We are AT THE DOOR where Jesus is standing in heaven ready to come to rapture the Church (Mark 13:29; Matt 24:33, 44), all things are happening already before our very eyes (Matt 24:34-35). Wake up saints and do not be deceived by the message of just grace and love of God without the justice and judgment of God, be born again and get truly saved from sin! Do not run after materialism and sinful indulgences and lawlessness, it will destroy you completely in this end of end time. Always desire and confess to yourself, what ever I have and do is to fulfill the will of God for my life, my family, my city, my nation and nations of the world. There is a one world that is coming whether we like it or not. There is going to be a one world currency and digital transaction of funds flowing constantly all over the world at the click of a button under one system of governance that will make these things easy to do business in any part of the world. But the good benefit of this thing will eventually lead the world in to the very trap of Antichrist and false prophet who will control the whole world and deceive them in to their religion through the flow of funds through their system of governance (Rev 13:17-18). As the personal ambition of Antichrist will takes over to rule the whole world under His control (Rev 13:4-5, 6), the worship of Antichrist's image will happen through the power of Satan who will cause the life of Antichrist to be sustained when he will be mortally wounded, and Satan who will speak literally with his voice instructing the world openly through using the false prophet's miracle to draw people by force and worship him which has been his eternal desire and his cause for fall from heaven, will cause God to rise up in wrath against Satan and his evil government more and more each day, which will culminate at the defeat of the government of Antichrist and establishment of God's government on earth through Jesus and his saints for a thousand years (Rev 13:3-4, 5, 11-16; Dan 7:27).
