One world religion according to the Bible is the time in which God of heaven who rules the earth will give and grant power for Antichrist to rule over the entire world, including the Church which is the only thing that has been left in the entire earth which is ruled directly over by the God of heaven, in which Antichrist will make war with them and try to make them by force to worship himself and his image (Rev 13:5-6).
The one world religion is not the great harlot described in Rev 17:1-18 which is actually the catholic church and its inter-religious alliance with others religion during the end, though it will pave way for the one world religion to appear in all the earth by merging to its agenda. Eventually, the harlot will lose favor with the Antichrist, who will want to receive the world’s worship for himself, and thus will not share the adoration of the world with the prophets and priests of the the false harlot religion, no matter how much they flatter him or are utterly submissive to him. Once the Antichrist gains the world’s amazed attention by his miraculous return from the dead (Revelation 13:3, 12, 14), he will turn on the false religious system and destroy it, establishing himself as God (Rev 17:16; 18:4, 5-6, 10, 17, 19, 21, 23-24). At this point of time, the demise of religious harlot of catholic church will happen in one hour through a nuclear holocaust probably that is why it is said to happen in just on hour, and the whole world will mourn for her, it shall not be found anymore forever.
Once the Antichrist gains the world’s amazed attention by his miraculous return from the dead when an assassination attempt will be made in his life by a zealous devout Jew who will hate this man declaring himself as god sitting in the temple at the time of "abomination of desolation" which is blasphemy to the true Jews of faith (Revelation 13:3, 12, 14), he will establish immediately this false one world politico-religious system through the help of a Jewish false prophet who will support this idea to bring the world under the control of Antichrist by conspiracy conceived between them (Rev 13:11, 15), and thus establish himself to continue as god (2 Thess 2:3-4). The deception, Jesus tells us, will be so great that, if it were possible, even the elect would fall for it (Matthew 24:24).
So what is the end time one-world religion?
1) It is Antichrist declaring himself as god at the mid-point of the Daniel's 70th week, and this is also referred by Jesus with the traditional name "abomination of desolation" (2 Thess 2:3-4; Matt 24:15).
2) It is the mandatory worship of the image of the Antichrist in which Satan will sit and speak from its inside miraculously to direct the world government and make all people of the nations worship him (Rev 13:15).
3) The people who are not saved by the blood of Jesus will worship Satan the dragon even knowingly just for the sake of saving their earthly lives and be empowered enough to live through his mandatory force to receive his mark on their right hand or on their foreheads so that they may be able to buy and sell to prosper in their earthly life (Rev 13:16-17, 8; 12:9). Those who oppose the worldwide religion will be killed, and those who refuse to worship the Antichrist by not accepting his mark will be unable to buy and sell, thereby making survival very difficult (Revelation 13:16–17).
4) This false religion will cause Tribulation in all the world to test its people, but the real Church will be kept away from the tyranny of this false religion through the Rapture in which all born again Christians will be taken to the Father's house in heaven directly by Jesus before it ever begins (John 14:2, 3).
5) The Jewish false prophet who will declare himself as the messenger sent before to reveal the so called messiah of the world who is Antichrist, will make people believe him especially the Jewish crowd through bringing fire from heaven like Elijah did to challenge the Israelite's of old to follow the true God (Deut 13:1, 2, 3-4, 5), and through it will deceive the multitude to accept him as the true authority of god (Rev 13:13, 14). Antichrist will be the first beast who will come from the sea which are the nations of the world (Rev 13:1; 17:15). The second beast false prophet which is not the same beast but another will come out of the earth which is the nation of Israel, which again clearly indicates that he will be a Jew (Rev 13:11, 12; 19:20; 20:10; 16:13-14, 16; Amos 3:2). Even until the day of Armageddon which is the final war of humanity again God and His Lord Jesus the Son and his armies, the satanic trinity of Satan the dragon, the beast who is Antichrist and the false prophet will perform signs to gather the whole world against God who dwells in heaven through one world politico-religious deception.
6) The deception of this one world religion will be so great, Jesus tells us, if it were possible, even the elect would fall for it, but at the same time Jesus assures the saints of Tribulation that the time of Tribulation will be reduced for the saints sake (Matthew 24:24, 22). Paul the apostle agreed with the above truth revealed by Jesus and said clearly, "9 The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, 10 and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, 12 that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness."
