Where Did Sin Originate?
Question: Where did Sin originate? If it did originate in heaven through the fall of Satan the Lucifer, then this heaven where God resides must also be burnt by fire like the present earth which will be burnt by fire at the end of the Millennial rule of Jesus Christ. My question is, does the heaven where God resides now which we call as New Jerusalem need to be burnt because of sin and newly built for God? What are your thoughts on it?
Answer: Greetings in Jesus mighty name!
The origin of the first sin is not on earth, but it actually started in heaven when Satan thought the thoughts of pride (Isa 14:12-, 13-15; Ezek 27:14-15, 16-17), which made him sin and fall from the highest heaven to the second heaven where he started to reside for a period of time until He started to convince one third of the entire community of angels to side with him to form a separate kingdom, and thus started causing rampage on the newly created earth and started to cause chaos in it (Rev 12:4; Gen 1:2).
I believe that there are at least three heavens and the highest heaven which is the most holy place of God's throne is part of the third heaven.
1) In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth which is the first heaven directly above the earth, the second heaven and the third heaven (Gen 1:1).
2) The second heaven is the invisible heaven where angels reside and where God meets them once in a while on a particular day and time to review their work being done under his command (Job 1:6-7; 2:1-2).
3) The third heaven is the Paradise of God where He resides and from where the whole Universe is run by Him (2 Cor 12:2-4).
The creation of earth was the purpose for which God created all other heavens (Isa 45:18), and thus humans are the apex of the creation of God (Gen 1:26-28).
You are right, as Satan was walking on the holy mountain of God, he walked back and forth in the midst of fiery stones, until the iniquity of pride was found in him to think pridefully expressing his five 'I' statements expressing to usurp the authority of God to be like him to ascend, exalt his throne, sit equally with God on the mount of congregation, ascend above the anointing to rule like God and be worshiped rather than be ruled by Him that has brought the downfall of Satan (Ezek 28:14, 15; Isa 14:13-15).
Satan after his fall in to sin not only created a rebellion among the angels to follow his way of iniquity in to sin, but also was looming large out of first heaven which they immediately took as abode to make mankind sin once the process of creation of God moved ahead by His Spirit, without even a slightest delay or hesitation from God. He proceeded to create in spite of the chaos that they [i.e. Satan and demons] let loose to stop the creation of earth and the apex of it existence which are the humans from proceeding to come in to existence, because of Satan's jealousy over the creation of mankind which will reflect God's image higher than him and his glory (Gen 1:2; Ezek 28:15, 17), i.e. humans who will be more closer to God than him who was until then without any peers which he hated as a sadist (Gen 1:6-8; Ezek 28:3-5; Dan 1:17; Eph 2:2). From that point of time, Satan became an adversary to all humans and a rebel against the authority of God.
Thus God put a test for humankind to choose God or self in the garden, humans chose self over God and thus the whole of mankind fell in to sin and death (Rom 5:12; Gen 2:15-17; 3:1-7). But the gracious God has chosen to help mankind in Jesus Christ because of his mercies, grace and love shown to them abundantly by releasing the new life of heaven and restoring friendship with Himself as a way out of sin and rebellion to be the children of Abraham by their faith (Gal 3:26, 29; Heb 2:17-18), which was not shown to the Angels who fell in to sin because there was no external influence but only a conscious choice which made them fall in to sin to follow Satan their leader of the kingdom of darkness (Heb 2:16).
In the highest heaven, Satan's sin polluted the heaven's atmosphere only because the sin of Satan was just a thought, an impure and a unclean thought which he entertained to promote himself over God Almighty's sovereign authority, and thus the cleansing for it is more than enough with the blood of Jesus, which was taken over to heavenly tabernacle by Jesus after his death on the Cross of Calvary and sprinkled over there which made it holy forever and ever (Heb 9:12; John 20:17, 19). When Satan was judged on the Cross and was disbanded from his legal right to enter the most holy place anymore forever and ever, the highest heaven itself was redeemed by Jesus from the influence of the vessel of iniquity and sins of Satan (Col 2:15).
But when it comes to humans, the sins of the thought becomes sins of action later which makes the earth get defiled not just in spiritual atmosphere, but in the reality of its essence within itself. For example, when the first murder and man slaughter happened because of jealousy over a righteous Brother and a wicked faithless Brother in Cain and Abel, after the death of Abel, his blood in which life gets sustained on earth was spilled on ground which God said was crying out of it to Him to bring back justice and vengeance on earth as it is in heaven where perfect justice always prevails in the very atmosphere over there (Gen 4:8-12; Matt 6:10).
As we know all the electronic chip we do in the present time to store information comes out of the dust of the ground, the Bible reveals that the earth does have a memory in itself to open its mouth to receive blood and also react in justice under the sovereign hand of God for the sin of mankind by yielding less to bring famine and lack of supply to its inhabitants (Gen 4:11-12). The Bible also reveals that walls can speak and will do it in judgment against the inhabitants who have abused their short stay in this pilgrim life on earth (Hab 2:11).
What I am trying to convey is that, earthen vessels which were prepared for holy use among the humans for eternity are sprinkled by the sinless blood of Jesus to be redeemed from sin, self and Satan forever and ever (Heb 9:21-22, 23-24, 28; Lev 17:11; Rom 5:19, 21). But the earth which vomits the sinful inhabitants out of it in Divine judgment and retribution through the law of sowing and reaping (Gal 6:7-8), cannot be cleansed of just its spiritual atmosphere as the sinful works were physical on it, and so the very components of earth as an inanimate object needs to be burnt by fire and be made to disappear in to thin air as gas which is the only judgment that purifies the intensity of sin that has been done on it literally (Lev 18:28, 25; Isa 48:10; Zec 13:9; Mal 3:3; 2 Pet 3:10-13; 1 Pet 1:7).
Thus we now know that the New Jerusalem where God resides which has been polluted spiritually when Satan polluted it by thinking with pride in the highest of heaven has been immediately judged by God and was thrown down from it to the second heaven where he persuaded one third of angels to follow him to form a rebellious kingdom of darkness on earth (Ezek 28:14-15, 16; Isa 14:12-15; Gen 1:6-8), thus New Jerusalem has been spiritually redeemed by the very blood of Jesus after his death to cleanse its spiritual atmosphere and that is why the very same figurative language which has been used to describe the redeemed souls of the Church who are the Bride of the Bridegroom Christ, is the same figurative language with which the New Jerusalem has been described in the Book of Revelation (Rev 21:2; 5:9-10; John 3:29; Matt 25:6; 2 Cor 11:2).
Because the angels rebelled physically in the second heaven and humans rebelled physically against God on the earth by heeding the Satanic demons that were at work from the first heaven (Gen 1:6-8; Eph 2:2; 6:12), both "the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat: both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up...all these things will be dissolved..." and go in to oblivion as everything will become invisible gas and vapor (2 Peter 3:10, 11). The above will be the physical act of judgment which will cleanse the universe of its sinfulness and brings restoration of blessings of God for all eternity in all the universe, except in the hell hole and museum of prison where the worm does not die and fire is never quenched (Mark 9:44, 47-48; Rev 20:14-15).
Since these things are going to happen, how much more we as the children of God should live for God and make use of every minute of our lives count for eternity?
