Prophecies, God's Will And Marriage?

I Am Not Getting Any Reply...What Should I Do?

Question : I have faced an issue, I am 28 years, and three years back only I converted to Non RC from Roman Catholic. Still not married...am very thirsty to do the will of God, as well as to work in His ministry.

Pastor as I got some prophecys and words which I took from God, according to that I met a person recently....I felt soo peaceful regarding it in my mind as well...I know that he is the one God has kept for me. And I confirmed it through prayers. Day to day am confirming that he is my rib.

We talk through skype, as well chat over facebook. He had an affair for 5 yrs and now it is brokeup and came to an end. Sooo I told him that God has plan for us... you are my rib and God has revealed it to me. He said that he didn't get revelations like that. But pastor he talks with me everyday.

I am not sure whether he really likes me, or trying to cheat me, or even trying to misuse me. Coz I started everythng in the spirit and not in flesh...and I know exactly if it is evil plan God won't allow it in to my life.

Still I am not getting any replys from him. So please pastor pray and tell me...what should I do.

Answer : Greetings to you in Jesus name! I praise God that you have come to know the truth and have moved on from Roman Catholicism to believe God through Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord. I believe that this is the most important time in your life to make certain godly decisions and move on to build a family for the glory of God. I appreciate your thirst to do God's will and to work for God in ministry. God clearly told,
"...for those who honor Me I will honor, and those who despise Me shall be lightly esteemed" (1 Sam 2:30). In other words, all those people who want to honor the Lord by taking every decisions of their life by consulting the Lord will surely be later honored by God in their life and the same applies to those who want to do their own will now to despise the Lord will be later lightly esteemed by God and men.

Regarding getting prophecy through men or women of God, I want you to consider the following scriptural basis to validate it whether it was from God or not. First of all in the New Testament times, we should understand that prophecy is not the first mode of hearing from God. It is only a sort of confirmation that might be given to us by God in certain circumstances.

In our New Testament times, we should understand God the Spirit Himself resides in within us because we ourselves have been made the temple of God
(1 Cor 6:19). Jesus clearly said that the Holy Spirit will speak to us whatever He hears from Jesus regarding us from heaven and will tell us of things to come regarding our own lives, ministries and even marriage (John 16:13, 15). And also Paul the apostle told, "9 But as it is written: “ Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”... 11 For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. 12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God." (1 Cor 2:9, 11-12). In other words, the good plans of God for your life which is unseen, unheard and hard to understand with your natural understanding, can be understood by you if you get intimately focused on fulfilling the will of God for your life through seeking God by faith, prayer and patience (Heb 10:35, 36). Faith comes to you as you feed more and more word of God to yourself daily and consistently (Rom 10:17). Once you persevere in that confidence of faith that God will give you only the good and best things in His time, you will receive the promise of all the plans of God that he has for your life. The channel of receiving guidance through the Holy Spirit, who is the mouth piece or prophetic spirit of Jesus is the first mode of knowing God's will for your life (John 16:13; 15:26; 14:26; Rev 19:10).

Once you are walking in the will of God, any worries that comes to haunt you or to make you give in to unbelief should be kept in prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving towards God immediately, so that the peace of God that surpasses all your natural understanding be received which is able to keep your heart and mind intact in faith through Christ Jesus' power supernaturally
(Php 4:6-7). In this you have done wrong, you have taken the prophecy from men and women of God as the primary source of hearing from God rather than keeping it as a confirmation to the already revealed will of God within you, which the Holy Spirit might have been speaking to you if you had been sincerely seeking God and have been hearing from Him.

Apostle Paul said,
"16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. 19 Do not quench the Spirit. 20 Do not despise prophecies. 21 Test all things; hold fast what is good. 22 Abstain from every form of evil." (1 Thess 5:16-22). Just see the sequence that apostle Paul gave, first rejoice always, second pray continuously and third give thanks for all things. When you do the above three points with the help of the Holy Spirit, he is guaranteeing that you will be in the will of God for your life. Only then he speaks about receiving prophecy if God gives it, and then advises not to quench or stop the flow of the Spirit of God's supernatural confirmation and guidance further through prophecies which will help you in fulfilling God's destiny for you ahead. Then Paul the apostle says to test the prophesies and hold fast to what is good (1 Thess 5:21). My question is, when you do not know the will of God already how can you be able to test the prophecies and discard the extra words that you have heard from a man or woman of God who prophesied to you. So the first three points revealed should be obeyed in daily life before you can look further for confirmation from prophecies that come to you. If you do not keep the sequence and priority right, you might get misguided subtly and land yourself in all form of fleshly evil and be deceived enough to be not able to abstain from it. First the relationship with God and hearing the will of God through the Holy Spirit, then the confirmation through prophecies that might come from two or three independent sources whom God might use to establish the will of God and bring clarity to satisfy your soulish mind (2 Cor 13:1). Even without confirmation, the consistent relationship with God on a daily basis itself will do more than enough to fulfill and guide you in to the perfect will of God for your life, but our God is a supernatural God who might send confirmation of His will to satisfy your curious mind too if you are open to it and welcome it by faith.

Some times even if the prophecy that we have received from the men and women of God is true absolutely, still then without the constant guidance of the Holy Spirit on a daily basis, we might get in to the flesh by trying to connect our situations to the prophecy details we have already received, and thus get lost from the will of God by indulging in fleshly acts of self. Satan is a angel of light who might deceive the mind of believers many times in this way to make them move away from the perfect will of God
(2 Cor 11:14, 3). He might give some temporary soulish feelings like it is the real peace of God to make us get tripped in to fleshly trap of self. Once you confirm something in a fleshly way through your good feelings and then try to pray and confirm it from God, then all you will hear is a soulish self confirmation of yourself that you are in the will of God. I believe this is what has happened and you are now trying to make the voice of yourself get confirmed to the will of God.

When God confirms something, you will have peace enough within you that you will be able to say to God, 'Even if this thing doesn't go well, I am ready to still trust you to fulfill it if it is in your perfect will or I will let go because you have a better one
(Heb 11:11, 17, 19).' This is the test that God will give to prove your faith and if you fail in it, your faith is still not the real one because flesh might have directed you deceivingly (1 Peter 1:7).

Do not get in to any emotional attachment to anybody before marriage through facebook or skype or anything in our times which is easily available to connect immediately to your prospective partner, I tell you this because these emotions are not to be played with now, but it is to be stored for the time of your life after marriage. This is actually a emotional infidelity towards the future partner that God has planned for you. So in a prayerful way, spend time in all these things after you get married, until then be devoted to the Lord fully and God will bring you the right guy which He has in his heart
(1 Cor 7:34-35).

Once when you know that a guy had a affair already in his life and have broken it, you should be careful enough to know that his commitment to God or even toward the girl he was in friendship with was nothing more than a play that he has done. He was never serious in his commitment and it is good that he has told the truth that he does not think that it is the will of God, thus confirming that you should stop pursuing this boy. If you expect him to talk to you and allow him to influence you more and more, soon he will not only cheat you but also misuse you. Yes if in any way you go still further in this direction, you will physically defile yourself which is the worst thing that can happen to a girl and the scar of it will stay the rest of your life unless it is healed by God supernaturally
(Heb 13:4). Cut off this ungodly friendship that has the potential to ruin your life, it doesn't matter whether he likes you or not, and all that matters now is whether you want the will of God to be done for your life or not? God says to "flee ... youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart" and if you do the above God has promised to use you in His work greatly in the future for His glory and will honor you as you honor Him with your life now (2 Tim 2:22, 21).

So let go of whatever fleshly misdirection that has happened, and trust God from now on and say to Him, 'Lord I belive you will guide me because you are faithful to your promises which I believe. From now on lead me in the right way which you have prepared for me and bring me to the right person whom you have chosen for me to be a life partner. I thank you Lord you will do it in Jesus name I pray. Amen!' Do not reveal if you feel like it is God's will to anybody, instead wait for the Lord to bring you the boy He has in His mind, and then let God confirm to Him and then to you, then first get engaged and get married. Then you can reveal all your secrets to your husband that God gives. Until then let it be between you and the Lord alone. My prayers and blessings will be with you...

Much Blessings....
