Shall We Know What They Shall Become?

Will God Reveal To Us To Make Us Know Of Our Departed Family Member's Eternal Destiny?

Question : One more question, shall we know our departed family members' (i.e.) their eternal destiny ... Will God reveal to us?

Answer: Greetings to you in Jesus wonderful name!

This is a very deep question and we need to delve deep in to the Scripture to really know it thoroughly.

When we are married, have a family, relatives, friends, nation, state, town and a city marked for existence on earth by God for seeking Him and finding Him (Acts 17:26-27), then the first question that comes to a child of God will be, will this relationship and society continue in the same way in heaven, or will be different? We lose our babies unfortunately, families and friends by death and accidents, the first question again when we think about the eternal life is, will they be the same to us in heaven or will be different than what we were on earth?

First of all we should understand that all our earthly relationship has been planned by God and not by us, for example, we did not choose whom our father or mother should be on earth. Then we have a choice whom to marry, but actually marriages are made in heaven, so God's choice can become our choice or we can have our own choice in this area alone. We choose our job of what we should do in life to earn money and live in this world to survive, or we can choose what God wants us to do in this life so that we can be rewarded by Him now and in the life to come (Matt 19:23-24, 25-26, 27-30). So even though we start our existence by God's choice, we can have the freedom to choose how our life should end. Our beginning may be a humble one, but our end can be a glorious one when we start to walk with God (Job 8:7).

Then if we seek God with our whole heart, then we find God in this life and get saved for eternity as a reward for our diligent seeking (Jer 29:13-14; Isa 45:22; Heb 11:6). One thing we must focus, before we get in to relationship aspect we develop in this earth. First of all we were made by God, made for God and were made to live through God in our day to day existence, without accepting this truth we will find no meaning to this life no matter what angle we look in to, to give answers to this question (Col 1:16; Acts 17:28). So if we do not grope in the darkness of this world to search for God and find Him, then whatever relationship that we develop in this earth will be useless for eternity as only those who are saved by Jesus will only continue to live with God in their afterlife. All earthly relationship will come to an end once a person dies and waits for the judgment of God to begin (Heb 9:27). So whether we like it or not, our entire relationship on this earth, in our family, relatives, etc...should evolve around God and the expectation of the appearance of His coming a second time for salvation of all the saints (Heb 9:28). That is why Jesus also said,""If anyone comes to me, and doesn't disregard his own father, mother, wife, children, brothers, and sisters, yes, and his own life [i.e. to love me, keep my word and fulfill the will of God for his life], he can't be my disciple." (Luke 14:26, Paraphrased). Our sincere desire should be to take as many people whom are in our circle of friends and families (Luke 16:9), to do the will of God and to go together to heaven to live with God forever and ever joyfully. We should understand this and prioritize our relationship and pray for the salvation of all people around us, but not all have faith (2 Thess 3:2). When we get saved, God has our household in his hand (Acts 16:31). But in some cases, there are stubborn husband or wife who will leave because of the trial of our faith, but we should allow them to go their own way and honor the choice of theirs even though it is hard emotionally to part ways with them (1 Cor 7:12-15). We cannot be one hundred percent sure that we will save a wife or a husband who is unsaved, we can pray and hope for the best if they remain unsaved (1 Cor 7:16). That is why God says that we should never be unequally yoked in marriage with a unbeliever at the best interest of our spiritual life and its focus towards eternity (2 Cor 6:14).

Paul said, "If anyone does not love the Lord or remain unsaved, let him be continue to be under the divine curse of sin and death. Come, O Lord!" (1 Cor 16:22). In other words, nothing of this world which influences our relationships like our own father, mother, wife, children, brothers, and sisters, yes, and even own life should be allowed to affect the love we have towards our Lord Jesus Christ. If anyone of the above people are unsaved, let it not be allowed to drag your relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ who wants a exclusive control and surrender from your part to make you be His disciple and be rewarded for eternity ahead. The hard truth we should face is, as we try our best to share the gospel through our life (1 Peter 3:1-2), we will miss some of the unsaved families or friends in heaven. Taking in to consideration this possibility, we shall look further in to the destiny of our saved loved ones, families, friends and others of our nations. But we should never stop praying for the unsaved ones and stop to show them the love of God, because all things are possible with God (Matt 19:25-26), God has the power to save the most unworthy ones at the most unexpected time or even moments before death or even at the last moment before they die (Luke 23:39, 40-43).

HEAVEN'S GATE WIDE OPEN!

Once we are saved and we are on the highway of heaven,
No turning back to the world of sin, self and Satan,
Because the Lord is all the world to me now as I look up,
Heavens glare is on me and heaven's stares on me as I climb upstairs.

When the stormy gale are on me, my Heavenly Father is gayle over me,
Seeing my foot step rise, He carries me through it all,
Seeing Him, my heart and mouth shares the good news that all is well,
Do not worry over me for all is well as I am well within and without cares.

Thinking of the unsaved ones, I once was lost and now am found,
My prayer and my all, O Lord, save them as you have saved me,
Still my thoughts race in my head, whether they will or won't accept Him,
I surrender my all and leave it in to His hands, but still pray hoping they will.

My Savior, My Redeemer, My all in all you have become to me now,
Will you not one more time show mercy on the loved ones that won't,
Let them too come to know you and be on the highway to heaven, they will,
Won't you hear my heart cry that makes me pant for your love.

What is the destiny of our loved ones and us in heaven? Will we stay in the same home in heaven? Will we be able to know all that we were on the earth together? Do we look just the same in heaven or different? Will we be young or old or middle age in heaven? Will children grow and become grown up in heaven if they have died before time? Still a thousand question that races on in our mind...but what does the Bible has to say about it all? We know that God has revealed about the eternal destiny of our loved ones and ourselves of what we are going to be only in part, and we prophesy about it in part to make it know to others. But when we enter heaven which is perfect, then that which we know in part will be done away because, I will see myself and families and friends face to face, as I shall know just as I am also know to others (1 Cor 13:10, 12). Here we come to know that we shall have a increased memory and recognition to know and converse with all those whom we know and also those whom we do not know by the supernatural perfect ability that God our Father in heaven will put within us as a gift to enjoy life in heaven.

Will our memories of earth will make us sorrowful in heaven? God says to us to open our eyes and see, that He is going to create a new heavens and a new earth for us to live and enjoy it forever and ever, this present sin cursed earth and heavens will be burnt by fire and will become gas to be no more seen, it will become like a faded memory forever (Isa 34:4-5; 65:17; 2 Peter 3:10, 11, 12-13). God says further that, "the former troubles are forgotten [but not erased as] it will be hidden from our eyes" as we have forgiven those who have hurt us on earth (Matt 6:12), [i.e. NOTE : but God does not erase sinful memories because only through retaining it, we can choose to be grateful to God for His love showed to us through Jesus Christ on the Cross of Calvary of which we do not deserve at all.] (Rev 21:4; Mal 3:16; Rom 8:1; 7:20).

To answer the question, what our destiny will be and we shall be like, we need only to see Jesus after He rose up from the dead to live forever, as the apostle John revealed the destiny of believers in his writing saying, "2 Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. 3 And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure." (1 John 3:2-3). So in other words, we know that a believers destiny will be based on how he purifies himself while on earth just as Jesus is pure. But one thing we know for sure is, now we have become the children of God by believing in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, so the future destiny of all believers is not known now, when Jesus comes again to take us to our Father's palace in heaven (John 14:1-2, 3-4), that is the time our eternal destiny will be revealed to be rewarded and be made know in all of heaven from that time on-wards forever.

Let us look on to our resurrected Jesus to glean some important eternal truth to behold about the outline of our destiny waiting for us,

1) Jesus not only looked the way he was in his early thirties a young dynamic radical royal person, he was recognized as Jesus when ever he revealed Himself and His identity (Luke 24:39). We shall also look the way we were in our early thirties. The best outlook for eternity ahead.

2) Jesus ate a piece of a broiled fish and some honeycomb in their presence (Luke 24:42-43). We will not have a surreal body to float as some insect, but rather will have a heavenly resurrected body with which we could eat some food of choice and enjoy it, and not have to eat to survive as we will be sustained by the Word of God in our eternal life (Matt 4:4). O what a privilege!

3) Jesus spoke about the Law of Moses, Prophets and the Psalms concerning Himself, and it shows that we will too have a in depth knowledge of His Word once we enter heaven. This, God will provide as a gift at various levels to those who have thirsted and hungered for more of His Word and His Spirit (Luke 24:44-45).

4) Jesus saw the suffering that he has gone through on earth as a mandatory prerequisite of God for the equal amount of rewarding glory that he received for it from the Father God, so like Jesus we will be able to see the suffering we have gone through on earth in the light of God's eternal glory that we have inherited. Rather than in the form of sorrow that we could have done differently or avoided something, when we remember an ordeal, betrayal or suffering, as it usually comes to us in the memory of our natural life of this earth, with heaven's renewed mind of God operating within, the joy that we have inherited the Glory of God will fill our heart when ever we start thinking about the suffering that we have gone through in this earthly life (Luke 24:46). Eternal joy will be our inheritance!

5) Jesus not only appeared to his disciples after His resurrection, but rebuked them for their unbelief and the hardness of heart as they did not believe Jesus even after seeing Him face to face and then He instructed them about the destiny that God has for them in and around the world preaching the gospel with supernatural signs following them (Mark 16:14-15). This shows that in our resurrected body, we will not only identify our loved ones and families in heaven, but also we will be able to consciously instruct and communicate between us in heaven just as we had on earth but still in a higher level. Who knows, may be even read the thoughts of each other when we meet each other! Our first key on earth as long as we live, is to preach the gospel to all people with signs following us, as this will unlock the door to the eternal destiny we have ahead which will be very similar but with a higher level of excitement and satisfaction. If we are in our secular work, then should share the gospel where ever we are and live a life of testimony for the Glory of God. Praise the Lord!

6) When the disciples having locked the room they were in and were sitting within it in a round circle next to each other, Jesus stood in the midst of them (John 20:26). This shows that we can move supernaturally in our resurrected body through walls and there can be no obstacle in our path that can stop us from reaching to any place in the entire universe. Praise the Lord!

7) When Thomas doubted and wanted to touch Jesus' wounds on his hand to believe that He is alive from the dead, in fact, Jesus knowing His thought, did appear to him and exactly told him to put his hands in to the print of the nails and also on his side, Thomas never did doubt even once after that in all his lifetime about Jesus' real body (John 20:24-29). This shows that our body will be very close in its resemblance to our earthly body structure, shape and size, but in filled with full of the Glory of God. Praise the Lord!

8) What does Jesus do now to fulfill God's will in heaven? Jesus is praying for all the saints to stand in faith and come to heaven without fail. He is now the high priest and intercessor of heaven (Rom 8:34; Heb 6:19-20; 8:1; 7:25; 9:24). Like Jesus our service will extend to God's temple and also to one another. Both spiritual activities and entertaining activities will thrill our soul and spirit in heaven. But sex will not be there in heaven as it is on earth which was given to build a family, pro-create and enjoy the earthly life to multiply and fill the earth. Something more entertaining than sex will be the Presence of God that we will enjoy for eternity ahead (Psa 16:11; 1 Chron 16:27).

9) Finally, our earthly bond be it father, mother, brother, sister, husband or wife, friend, relatives is only for earthly relationship. But in our heavenly relationship, the focus will always be centered around God and His Glory (Rev 4:8-11; 5:8-13, 14; 7:11-12, 17; 19:1, 4-5, 6). The marriage of the Lamb is one in a lifetime event in heaven which will take place in all grandeur and pomp, everything will be lovely and great for the time to come after that because God will forever begin to move among His people and live in friendship with them forever and ever (Rev 19:7). There are then the thousand year valiant warriors destiny for all the Church saints to build the old earth and rule over it for a thousand years time, then we will have a destiny in judging the fallen angels and unbelievers after the thousand years of rulership on earth will be over, this judgment will be called White Throne Judgment, and therefore will take place somewhere between the heaven and the earth which God has prepared already (Rev 20:11-15; 1 Cor 6:2-3, 4), after which we will have our destiny in the new earth and new heavens to fulfill God's plan for eternity ahead (Rev 19:11-16; 20:4-6). New heavens and new earth is a real place for real people who have followed God and has done His will on earth and afterwards (Rev 21). There is nothing more exciting and satisfying for a believer to fulfill God's destiny for his or her life on earth and be rewarded for eternity ahead!

Much Blessings.....
