Please Intercede For Me To The Lord To Know His Will

Prophecy Of The Old Testament Vs Prophesy Of The New Testament, Which Reveals The Will Of God For Us Personally?

Prayer Request: Dear Apostle,

Even if I am not a member of your church I have a personal request to intercede on my behalf and ask God if there is anything I need to sort out from my part which may be a hindrance to marriage. Mostly the interests that come through websites are Catholic which I am not willing to take a step. Recently one orthodox proposal came. He is a cardiologist working in US but he is not born again and does not have a personal relationship with Jesus. My mom was very happy to go forward but I had a personal chat with him in which I told him that I would prefer to marry some one who keeps Jesus first.

I kept the matter in prayer and I had a dream in which I saw a dusty bus with torn seats inside. Then I understood this is not a match for me.

As you have a prophetic gift, can you please pray for me and ask the Lord to reveal His will for me. May be you can pray along with any church member or when you are fasting.

I know you are a busy person but if it is acceptable please intercede for me to the Lord to know His will.

God bless you.

My Answer: Greetings in Jesus wonderful name!

I am sorry for answering you a little later than you would have expected.

To me all the saints around the world are the same in value and priority, whether they are a local ministry supporter or a church member in our church or related churches which are a local expression of the Universal Church in heaven and earth, and a small part of it in our city
(Eph 3:14-15). My concern is for all the Churches of Jesus Christ in all the world, that is why I have been continuing in this Internet ministry which receives almost nil support from all those who are blessed through it (2 Cor 11:28, NLT).

The moment you conveyed to me your burden, from that moment onwards I have been praying in the Holy Spirit, which means, I have submitted your request to the Holy Spirit and let the Holy Spirit pray through me in personal prayer language of tongues which I received from the Lord when I was Baptized in the Spirit and filled for the first time
(Matt 3:11; Acts 2:4), a lot of request for prayer comes for me around the world, but as a human I can't keep all of it in my mind to keep praying for specific things as I am a learner who still pray and learn through praying new things from the Lord everyday and always (Rom 8:26-27). But I can assure you, that the Lord brought you in to my mind sometimes, which means I know that the Lord is working on behalf of you. I then give thanks and praise to the Lord in faith and let things go in to the hands of the Lord which is the safest place to find solutions for all impossibilities of life (Luke 1:37; Matt 19:26). I pray, but you must also believe that the Lord can and will do all His plans for you which are good and only good, though it might seen otherwise through your natural circumstances when He takes you through trial to give you the best possible solution (Jer 29:11). But you also need to ask, seek and knock the godly door of His plan to be opened for you, and with great desire you need to pursue it with all your heart (Jer 29:13-14; Matt 7:7-8).

See one thing I want to say openly, all the five fold ministry office of the apostles, prophets, teachers, evangelists and pastors are not present to foretell your future or the will of God for you but rather to teach you about Jesus through the Word of God, and bring you to the stature of the fullness of Christ which will not only make you realize and walk in the will of God, but also teach others about it
(Eph 4:11, 12-13; Heb 5:12; Rom 16:25-26; 2 Tim 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:19-21; 2 Tim 2:2). To tell you what you should do is none of their business because the Holy Spirit is given personally to all believers and if anybody takes over that place he will become grieved as He also yearns jealously for our affection as like a Father and Mother (Eph 4:29-30; John 16:13-14; Heb 8:11). Because when you have the Master of all Creations with you (Matt 28:20), how can you seek His servants to speak with you an answer favorable to you, and just think over it, is it not going back to the law again to get entangled in to its bondage again (Exo 20:18-19, 20-21; 2 Cor 3:6; Rom 8:2)?. You are His children and the Lord Jesus prays for you to the Father, and from the Father He reveals His love for you personally and wants to reveal things about your future through the Holy Spirit who also prays for you personally (Rom 8:26, 34; Heb 7:25; Jude 24-25). Do you know how many believers get deceived and misled in our New Testament times by the so called prophetic words from the prophets? Actually it was an Old Testament phenomenon where people sought servants of God and prophets to receive a word from the Lord (1 Sam 3:1, 19-21; 4:1; 9:9), but such attitude becomes an insult in the New Testament to our 'Immanuel' which means 'God Himself with us', because the Holy Spirit who is the anointing that teaches all things about the future and spirituality to us is in us (Matt 1:23; 1 John 2:20, 27). Do you know the great Prophet of the New Testament named Agabus who prophesied to Paul against going to Jerusalem in the will of God, and again through many others prophesies that came to him it was revealed not to go to Jerusalem (Acts 21:4, 9-14), but he did not take heed to those prophecies because he knew from within through the Holy Spirit that God was testing him whether he was having faith to face all the troubles that he is going to face, so like a flint he did not heed these prophesy but set himself to go to Jerusalem in the will of God just like the Lord Jesus did in his life (Isa 50:7; Luke 9:51). Were the prophecies that came by reputed Spirit filled believers and prophets were wrong, or the word revealed through them was just a part of God's mind of testing revealed to ultimately fulfill the will of God in Paul's life through courage and faith? Actually the prophecy given to Paul was know in part and was prophesied in part (1 Cor 13:9), but when that which is perfect has come in to us through our salvation [(i.e.) the Holy Spirit (Eph 1:13, 14; John 4:10, 14)], then that which is in part [(i.e.) the prophesies that come to us] will be done away (1 Cor 13:10).

So all I say is, not to neglect prophecy when God sends it to us and thus quench the Spirit
(1 Thess 5:19-20), but at the same time not seek for prophecy from men but rather clear guidance from the Holy Spirit who is within us to guide us in to all truth of Jesus in our lives (John 14:16, 17-18; 15:26; 16:7, 13-15). Test the prophecies that you receive if it has come to you from men or women of God by taking those things in prayer for the Holy Spirit to confirm it, but when you get the revelation of the truth from Jesus which is contrary to what has been said, stand by what you have heard from the Holy Spirit just like Paul the apostle did by throwing away the prophesies which were given to him only in part (1 Cor 14:29-33). You are safe from deception only as long as you are guided by the Spirit as the sons of God and not as slaves of God through his servants (Gal 3:26; 5:18; Rom 8:14). So now you know how a person who takes the prophesies from people and not check with the Holy Spirit conviction and guidance within them can be easily deceived, and then do not blame blame a servant of God for giving a word of prophecy which was in part was right or may be even wrong because it was God who might have been testing you (Deut 13:1-4, 6-8; 18:21-22; 2 Thess 2:11-12), and overall wrong if we have not consulted with the Holy Spirit about the veracity of it and the full meaning of it to be applied in our lives in the will of God (1 Tim 1:18-19). If the prophecy is a general encouragement, or comfort or exhortation from the Scripture, you can easily take it, but when the prophecy is personal or predictive or foretelling in our New Testament times, immediately take it to the Holy Spirit to know whether the word is real or not, if the Holy Spirit gives you no conviction at all or conviction in the opposite direction (1 Cor 14:31-33), throw those words away even if it has come from a reputed prophet as it did come to Paul the apostle (1 Thess 5:21-22). Those who become deceived by false prophecies or part prophecies in the New Testament times to misunderstand it and be misled by it are to blame themselves for not having tested the word to find whether it is true or not (Rev 2:2, 14, 20; 3:17; 2 Thess 2:11-12; Deut 13:2-3; 18:21-22), but they should repent for rather gulping it all because of seeing that those words were good (2 Tim 4:3-4; Acts 20:30, 31-32), which will cause or would have caused the mind to be blown up with pride for the devil to control us to be deceived to cause shipwreck to our faith and nothing more (1 Tim 3:1, 6; 4:14; 5:22, 24-25).

In my life, I tell you, I would have gone to pieces never to regain again to see the light of day if not for the prayer of Jesus and the Holy Spirit which they do constantly do for me. That is why when I have seen all around many who had fallen, He has never let me down because I have believed in the prayer of Jesus and the Holy Spirit to carry me in my personal and public life for the Glory of God. Along with that, many many known and unknown saints of God pray for me. My loved ones and my physical and spiritual Father and Mother of my family also pray for me, and I am so thankful for all of them for their prayers. But all of it together cannot be compared to the faithful prayer that Jesus and the Holy Spirit do for me
(John 17:20-23; Luke 22:31-32). So I would encourage you to depend on the prayer of the 2nd and 3rd person of the Trinity who are faithful prayer partners to you already, and that prayer will never fail even if all others prayer fails including yours (Heb 13:5; Rom 8:27, 34). But if you are already filled in the Spirit, I would encourage you to pray in tongues at a set time for at least an hour or two or from your heart under your breath even when you are doing some other work (Matt 26:41). This prayer is so powerful because the prayer that comes out of you is designed by the Holy Spirit in the will of God, so that hundred percentage of it will get answered back to you in the will of God because the Holy Spirit cannot produce through you unanswered prayers as he is the only one who knows the will of God all the time at all situations in your life to bring all the plans of God to come to pass for the Glory of God (1 Cor 2:9-12).

But as the word of God says,
"he who prophecies speaks edification and exhortation and comfort to men" (1 Cor 14:3), the moment we see the word "prophecies" we think of personal prophesy. But in the New Testament, speaking the Word of God to the hearers is what is called as 'prophecies', (i.e.) revealing the will of God. Only through such expounding of the Word of God, we can become spiritually mature. The word prophecy is a noun. (The last syllable of prophecy is pronounced sea.) A prophecy is mainly a knowledge of the future from the Bible which is contained both in the Old Testament and New Testament to be together as 66 Books, and the very words of God which He has spoken already about the past, present and future - to have come from a divine source to build us spiritually and excel in our relationship with God (2 Peter 1:19-21; 2 Tim 3:16-17). The five-fold ministers who speak any sermon or Bible study is this kind of prophecy we hear to build ourselves spiritually. (Ex. On the second day of the course, we will study the prophecies of Jesus.) The word prophesy is a verb. (The last syllable of prophesy is pronounced sigh.) To prophesy means to predict the future - usually with divine inspiration by a man or a woman of God inspired to speak by the Holy Spirit. All the men and women of God who speak over your life an inspired prediction, comfort, encouragement of your past, present or future is this prophesy. (Ex. He prophesies a great war between East and West, a flood, or a storm or a Tsunami.) So always understand the difference between prophecy and prophesy and apply it accordingly.

As for personal prophesies, in the New Testament times, do not seek for it from the servants of God but rather seek His will to be revealed from God Himself through his prophecies through which He has promised to shows all His servants, children and all flesh by dreams, visions and by filling of the Holy Spirit, even He has promised to make them a vessel to prophesy to bless others around them
(Acts 2:17-18, 21). O what a privilege! Praise God. At the same time, if a prophesy comes to you, do not despise it, but rather test it by telling the Holy Spirit whether it is true or not, if you have the conviction from Him, take it in or else just throw out in the thin air from where it has come to you, and do not let it bother you any more than a small stone pebble down your pathway (Deut 18:21-22).

I am very happy to say to you, how all the things I have discussed above are happening to you in reality, which you are taking it to the Holy Spirit regarding the marriage proposals that were coming to you, and you were clearly guided by the Holy Spirit through dreams which you were able to understand and know the will of God which is for your life. This is the primary way to be guided by the Holy Spirit in the New Testament times who is the like comforter and guide sent by Jesus to represent Him in us to personally speak the very word of Jesus which he speaks to us from heaven to all the saints and God's children around the world
(Heb 12:25).

In
John 16:7 the Bible reveals, "Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter (parakletos. Gr) will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you." Parakletos means ‘to call alongside’. ‘Para’ - ‘alongside’, ‘kletos’ - ‘to call’. Yet ‘parakletos’ means more than just standing alongside to help. Having someone with us to help in times of difficulty is not enough, when we need power to be a witness for Jesus in the midst of all troubles we face (Acts 1:8). God's answer to us to overcome is the Holy Spirit who is the Comforter primarily and also someone who does more than comfort, that is, he comes alongside as a friend in a time of trouble to empower us to be victorious in difficult times through faith and prayer. The Holy Spirit does this well, as he comes alongside beautifully like a Dove to help us in our weaknesses and empowers us to overcome through praying in the will of God through tongues, and also in natural native know language by burdening us to pray (1 Cor 14:2, 14-15; Eph 6:18).

To have a godly partner of God's choice is more important than the qualification or education or even social standing of the prospective people who come to approach you for alliance. God will always have the best person for you in his mind, and if you continue to seek His perfect will, you will get His best in your life, though sometimes it might not be the one who you thought you might have ever wanted
(Prov 27:17). But it will be the best choice to make you grow spiritually and make you a blessing to many in the days to come on earth, and be rewarded greatly for eternity for all the spiritual work and service you will have done for the Lord through your life and family life in the future, like bringing the children up in a godly faith filled atmosphere which is important for the Lord to make them a blessing to the world in the future. Sometimes mothers are those who have done the best service to the Lord Jesus by bringing great children of faith who had blessed the world through their lives. Great is the reward for such women for now and for eternity! Praise the Lord!

So I encourage you and affirm that you are going in the right way with the Lord and are being guided by the Lord Himself step by step in to the future. Continue patiently to
"walk by faith and not by sight" (2 Cor 5:7). I would like to tell you, it would be much safe and better to take the hand of Jesus and walk in to the unknown path of darkness, than to see all things in the day light and walk in the know path away from the will of God.

When you say to me, "As you have a prophetic gift can you please pray for me and ask the Lord to reveal His will for me. May be you can pray along with any church member or when you are fasting. I know you are a busy personal but if it is acceptable please intercede for me to the Lord to know His will", I reply humbly to you that I am praying for you to be blessed in all things, including for you to get the person whom God is having for you in His mind and will, but will not dare to say who you should marry or what you should do in life by taking the place of the Holy Spirit to grieve Him, as I have done some of these things foolishly in my past and have repented and have regretted to learn from my mistakes done already. If in case the Lord reveals a prophecy in part, I would release it to you without fail in the future. But still do not take that word as the promise of God, but rather take it as a word to be tested with the Holy Spirit, and if you have the conviction and peace of God take those things and be blessed
(Php 4:6-7; 1 Cor 14:31-33). It would be better to keep yourself open to the Holy Spirit, and he will speak from within you all the guidance you will ever need, and also will give you prophesy through His servants if He wants to confirm it to you through them. Also the Lord can and will speak to you freely from regular reading of the Bible which is the Scripture, which we must make it as the prime most priority and habit to read, reread and inculcate it in our heart to develop ourselves spiritually to hear the voice of the Lord within us (Rom 10:17). The Lord can speak through circumstances or other means too, but always without fail check with the Holy Spirit to get conviction about the authenticity of the will of God and you will never get misguided away from God's best for you life. Thank you. Praying for you!

Much Love and Blessings....
