RE: Jesus Blood Is So Valuable, It Can't Be Thrown Away

I Don't Think You Can Live A Bad Life And Keep Your Salvation

Question: I read the info [(i.e.) Article: In Rev 3:5 Jesus Saying "He Who Overcomes...I Will Not Blot Out His Name From The Book Of Life", Does It Mean That If We Do Not Overcome, Our Names Will Be Removed From It?] you sent me. I don't think you can live a bad life and keep your salvation. But another point from a former supervisor, 'Jesus blood is so valuable it can't be thrown away.' What is your take on it?

Answer: Greetings to you in Jesus wonderful name!

I believe that a bad life is the fruit of the flesh that cannot justify or condemn the free gift of salvation (Rom 8:38-39; Eph 2:8; Tit 3:5-6). Those who are saved cannot continue to live a bad life because the seed of God [(i.e.) the Holy Spirit] remains in them (1 John 3:9; 2:27; John 16:7-11, 12-15). No saved person will choose to easily trample the blood of Jesus underfoot, but if he does, he will not become unsaved but rather become a spiritual zombie without repentance unto life which will only make him or her live in the fear of Judgment of God like for a unbeliever and also it will make them miss the great eternal reward of their inheritance that God has for them (Heb 10:26-31). If salvation cannot be gained through our work, neither it can be lost through our lack of good work or for that matter evil work or dead works, but the whole point of God in saving us is for us to maintain good works for His Glory when done in faith which can only please God (Tit 3:8; Heb 11:6).

God is never taken by surprise by our sins, he knows that from our mother's womb we were born in sin, but inspite of it all He chose to save us from it all so that willingly we can choose to live for His glory (Psa 51:5), and remember we were enemies of God through sinful nature when were saved through His love for us (Rom 5:8). His love for us saved us, His love for us will keep us saved (Gal 3:1-5; Php 1:6).

The very reason God saved us through the gift of salvation given freely to us is to keep us humble before Him so that we might not boast about our salvation (Eph 2:8-9), as we all with a sinful nature inside us have a tendency to boast about anything we achieve with pride which is the greatest sin and the first one that brought the downfall of Satan (Job 33:14-18, 19-22, 23-26; Isa 14:13-15; Eze 28:15, 17).

The one thing God wants from us is to, "DO JUSTLY, LOVE MERCY AND WALK HUMBLY WITH YOUR GOD" who has saved you eternally (Mic 6:8). Hallelujah!

Much Blessings...

Does This Prove That There Is No Eternal Security For A Believer?

In Rev 3:5 Jesus Saying "He Who Overcomes...I Will Not Blot Out His Name From The Book Of Life", Does It Mean That If We Do Not Overcome, Our Names Will Be Removed From It?

Question: I spoke with a Bible teacher who believes that there is no eternal security. After speaking with me of my reason to believe in it, He told me, so you believe in eternal security and then he told me, then you have got to answer the question that Jesus told to believers in Revelation 3:5, "[If you] hold fast and repent, ...I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life". Does this prove that there is no eternal security for a believer?

Answer: Greetings in Jesus wonderful name!

I have seen almost everyone who come against the OSAS (Once Saved Always Saved) ETERNAL SECURITY, do so out of their own experience they have learned through their teachers in their own denomination and not from the Word of God directly. In other words, even the good teachers of the Word of God who do not believe in eternal security do so out of the influence they have come under through learning Christ from the denomination they have been brought up or were guided in their spiritual lives.

The first thing about the promises of God is that it never changes or cannot be broken, Jesus said, "Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away." (Matt 24:35). To me that means, every body who believes any promise of the Bible, will end up receiving the blessings of that promise in their lives eternally. Every promise can stand on itself and cannot be negated by any other in other parts of the Bible. We should understand that, if we cannot take something as true from the Word of God, it is because we have not yet understood it in the context Jesus has spoken to us. When we take the context rightly, we will soon understand that we need to shift our understanding to the Word of God which is able to transform us and help us tune in to the will of God. Each promise of the Bible can stand on its own, and does not need a support from us or even from another part of the Scripture to prove its authenticity.

Allow me to expound the context of the verse that you have quoted, “1 And to the angel of the church in Sardis write,‘These things says He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars: “I know your works, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead. 2 Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die, for I have not found your works perfect before God. 3 Remember therefore how you have received and heard; hold fast and repent. Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you. 4 You have a few names even in Sardis who have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with Me in white, for they are worthy. 5 He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels. 6 “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”’" (Rev 3:1-6).

In the above verses we see Jesus is speaking to the Church in Sardis through the messenger Pastor of the particular flock who is called as an angel, he starts to speak the following verses by claiming supreme authority over the seven-fold Spirits of God and over the seven stars which are the Seven Pastor or messenger human angels of the Churches who are in charge of the seven different states or the spiritual climate of the universal Churches in all nations of the world that are seen and administered completely by the Holy Spirit who knows all the things of God (Rev 4:6-9; 5:6-14; 19:4-5; Isa 11:2). In other words, each Church in each nation, area and locality will be at any particular time settled in atleast one of the spiritual climate or more that Jesus spoke about, even though the specific message of Jesus was to seven different Churches established in the first century in the area of the nation of Turkey in the middle east of our times which all had seven different spiritual climates during those times.

In this above message of Jesus, he is speaking to the Church not about their salvation but about their works done after salvation which is able to decide their position of riches in their eternity.

When someone speaks the above, verses of Rev 3:1-6, as though it is about the salvation of people to whom Jesus spoke to, the whole context become wrong. Why? Because salvation of every person who gets saved, remain saved through the finished and perfectly completed work of Jesus done for them on the Cross (Eph 2:8; Tit 3:5-6). To get saved is a gift of God, but what we do after we are saved is a work that brings eternal profit to us who believe (Eph 2:10; Tit 3:8; Heb 6:9-12).

So to all of the seven Churches Jesus admonishes and commands them to repent and overcome the sinful nature and tendencies that pull them down to act selfishly in lust against the work of the Holy Spirit, because Jesus wants all the believers to become rich in eternity and not remain poor without fruitful works that can only bring Glory to God through their salvation (Rev 22:12, 17).

Jesus starts the conversation with the Church of Sardis by saying, "I know your works, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead", here are some very very important things to note i norder to understand the context, Jesus did not say, 'You have a name that you are saved, but you are dead,'. Jesus knows all His sheep and are known by His own, they will follow him, and as he has given eternal life to them, none shall perish and neither any can be able to snatch them out of his hand for eternity ahead (John 10:27-30). When Jesus speaks about the works we are appointed to do after salvation, it was something that was prepared before hand by God, that we should walk in them (Eph 2:10). It cannot be done by our own power or proceeded according to our own wishes outside of the will of God and without taking up our own cross which He has given to us to crucify our self and follow Jesus (Luke 9:23). When self life is saved and works are done by our own wishes, it becomes dead work that are of no value in terms of eternity as they have failed the conditions of God (Heb 6:1-3). When we are alive to God through denying ourselves and taking up our cross daily, then we remain alive to God's will and purposes done and fulfilled through our works (Luke 9:24-26; Rom 6:11). Sin dies when we die by our belief (Rom 6:7), and therefore Jesus talks about the works of righteousness that comes to us through our belief and that which collects treasures in heaven on our eternal account for which we will personally be glorified by God when we enter heaven in our glorious resurrected eternal body after the Rapture (Rom 8:30).

To all the Churches, salvation is not disputed by Jesus to cause fear, but rather His intention is to make the Churches grow to maturity in the works of righteousness that is planned by God beforehand to make them do it and glorify Him through it. Therefore Jesus continues the command by saying to the Church, "Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die, for I have not found your works perfect before God" and more people are discouraged seeing the fruitless believers who live their lives for themselves fully dead in their dead works, therefore Jesus instructs the Pastor of the Church to be watchful of these discouraged people and strengthen them once again to continue to maintain their good works through faith for eternal profit and the glory of God (Tit 3:8). Those who become discouraged and worried and filled with fear to save themselves will lose their glory and eternal profit (Luke 9:24), their works become imperfect before God as it lacks the faith that can only please God (Heb 11:6).

As Jesus continues saying, "Remember therefore how you have received and heard; hold fast and repent", this brings us to the day we were saved by Jesus from sin, where we all got convicted of our sins and told God that we were sinners on our way to hell fire and then asked God to save us through Jesus who died for us, and as a joyful result of it, we were saved by God through our belief (Eph 1:11-12, 13-14). This is what Jesus tells all believers to look up to [i.e. the day of salvation in which we were saved] and therefore "hold fast" to the promises of God through their belief once again and repent by turning to God away from the sin of unbelief we were involved in until that time (Heb 3:12-14).

As Jesus continues his admonition saying, "Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you", it is about the unexpected time of the end of the life of a believer or the happening of Rapture that Jesus has spoken about in many other places that he is speaking here too. The imminency of the end of the life of a believer or for that matter even to unbeliever any moment (Luke 12:15-21), and at the same time the imminency of the rapture of the Church is what Jesus describes as like the coming of the thief (1 Thess 5:2, 9), where people who do not watch spiritually to pursue the call of God to fulfill His purpose for their lives will end up losing their eternal wealth suddenly even as they realize it very late that it has been stolen and also given to others as they were not watchful (Rev 3:11; Matt 6:19-20). The life of every believer is in the hands of Jesus, who chooses to keep some or take some if they remain unfruitful to God (Luke 13:6-9).

After this Jesus further encourages certain believers who continue to reject their own will and continue to take the God-given cross daily to walk in the will of God saying to them, "You have a few names even in Sardis who have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with Me in white, for they are worthy."

When Jesus says to these small group of believers within the Church that they have not defiled their garments, they shall walk with Him in white because they are worthy, He is not talking about the salvation of these believers and their entering in to heaven, but rather He is speaking about the reward for the work of undefiled garment of white which are actually the good works of the saints done through faith (Rev 19:7-8, 9, 14).

There are two things that we need to note here, garment of salvation comes to us as clothing over us when we get saved, but then when the robe of righteousness which is a loose-fitting outer garment is worn by us which signifies honorary stature, this in actuality keeps the inner garment of salvation intact in white. Garments of salvation is something that God clothes us with as a gift over our spiritual lives when we get saved, but then robe is something that God chooses to cover us with even as we cooperate with him to choose to wear on by our works done in faith for the Glory of God after we are saved until we die and go on to be with the Lord in heaven (Isa 61:10; Job 29:14).

So those who keep the garments white shall walk with Jesus in heaven in honor of their work done for God on earth, and they will be declared to be worthy of great privileges of honor, power and glory because of their works. Those who defile their garments will lose such honor and privilege for eternity.

Then Jesus comes to the crux of the main verse which is, "He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels." (Rev 3:5). First of all, Jesus is not threatening the believers of the harsh consequence of their dead works which can make them lose their salvation here, but rather many in the Church who were living for themselves in condemnation and spiritual lethargy (1 John 3:20), were keeping the law of God for salvation and had not even realized of their dead works (Rom 10:4; Gal 2:16; 3:3; Heb 6:1-3). In fear of losing salvation many believers were habitually beginning to keep the law of God in order to avoid losing their own salvation, as like many believers even in our times do the same. In other words, the believers were more worried about losing their own salvation because of sinful and self willed life lived for themselves (Heb 10:26-31), than realizing the truth that it is not for their salvation but it is for their eternal honor, glory and power that Jesus is more concerned and is admonishing them to overcome self and sin in their life to walk in the will of God for their lives and bring glory to God through it. In fact, Jesus saying to them "I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life" is actually a reassurance of the eternal security of all other promises he has already given to the believers about the permanency of salvation and not a threatening to cause fear and doubt in their heart about the eternal salvation that He has already promised to them (Heb 5:9; John 10:27-28). Jesus Christ remains the same, it is the believers who need to renew their mind to take hold of the unchanging promises given to them and walk worthy of the high calling He has given to each one to bring glory to him on earth just as He has walked before them and brought Glory to our Heavenly Father God (Heb 13:8; Php 3:13-14; Eph 4:1; Col 1:10; 2 Pet 1:3-4; 1 John 2:6; Rom 12:2).

Jesus thus closes his admonition and command saying to the Church, "He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches." In other words, Jesus is saying to those who call themselves as a part of the church, if you are saved really and have a internal ear opened enough through salvation which I have already given to you to hear what the Spirit is saying to the churches, let him hear what I have already told through the Spirit so as to do the works pleasing to God through their lives and not fear about losing salvation, to make a turn around by overcoming faith and not continue by fear to remain in the dead works of the law which brings no eternal profit to you who are caught in it!

What can we learn from the above clear exposition of the words of Jesus spoken to us?

To say that eternal security is not in the Bible and OSAS (Once Saved Always Saved) is false has no basis to defend except it is a wish of religious radicals to discourage and keep in fear all Christians who want to pursue God and fulfill His call for their lives (Heb 5:9; Rom 10:13; Eph 1:13-14). No Scripture should be taken out of context to mean something other than what it wants to convey clearly. Then it misses the whole point of what Jesus wants to convey to us. So the very words of admonition from Jesus mainly are, be watchful and encourage those who try their best to walk taking up their cross, hold fast to how you were saved and repent again and again of sin because it can harden the heart and make you miss the perfect work of God planned by God to be fulfilled through faith. If you waste the time that Jesus has given for you after salvation, you might miss it altogether eternally in heaven because you might die any moment or Rapture might happen whichever comes first as like a thief in the night God might take you up out of this world to close the window of opportunity that He had given for you to collect and retain eternal riches to become rich eternally.

Jesus knows personally each one of those who are walking in spiritual maturity by denying themselves and taking up their cross to follow Him to fulfill the will of God in their lives, and therefore He guarantees them that they will walk with Him in white garment because they have proved themselves worthy through their constant pursuit of fulfilling God's purpose for their lives. These white garments are the reward for the works done in their earthly life from the day of salvation to the day of their physical death that adore their eternal lives with honor, glory and power. Jesus encourages the fruitless believers to overcome sin and self and take up their cross willingly to fulfill the will and purposes of God in their lives, and he commands them to stay away from legalism that makes them work for God in fear and not faith to keep their salvation intact which in fact becomes a dead work because of bad motive behind the work done. In fact salvation as a free gift of God bestowed once cannot be taken away by anyone in the world or outside the world according to God's own promises to all the believers individually. So to these who have started the salvation by faith and wanted to become perfect through works, Jesus did not threaten them of taking their name out of the Book of Life, instead He encouraged them to overcome legalism and not be ever worried that he will take their names out of the Book of Life. But the ultimate encouragement for these people from Jesus is that they will be clothed in the white garment which will be the eternal prize for their works done by faith through overcoming sin and self and Satan, which will be given to them eternally if they will choose to overcome the world, the flesh and Satan through their persevering faith for which they will be felicitated at the Judgment seat of Christ before the Father God. Glory to God!

Should I Forgive Myself Or Others Or God?

Got Forgiveness? How Do I Receive Forgiveness From God?

Question: Got forgiveness? How do I receive forgiveness from God? Should I forgive myself or others or God?

Answer: Greetings in the name of God's Son Jesus Christ (John 3:16)!

God says in His Word, that all humans have sinned and rebelled against God through our ancient forefather Adam and Eve (Rom 5:12). Thus according to God all humans are born in in sin (Psa 51:5), live in sin (Eccl 7:20, 28, 29) and die as rebels against God in sin (Jer 28:16; Rom 5:6), thus even if a person keeps the law and is religious towards God it had no spiritual value to save His soul from sin and death, and maintain friendship with God (Rom 3:9-20).

So what was God's answer to this crisis humans were facing in their day to day life?

While we were ungodly and powerless against sin and death, almost losing hope of a religious life that tries to please God through the Law but in reality only increased the consciousness and failures of sin within us humans (Rom 5:6; Gal 3:19; Rom 3:20; 7:7-9), it was only spiritual diagnosis for humans that sin was present within, but never a remedy for sin. God's idea to deliver humankind from this sin problem was a fantastic one, in which God sends His only begotten Son from Heaven to earth to be born as a baby, born of the Virgin Mary, so that Jesus would be sinless (2Cor 5:21; Heb 7:26-28), He would be God, in which His infinite sacrifice could atone for all of the sins of all of the children of God (John 1:29; 11:49-52; Rev 7:9-14), in addition to being fully God, Jesus would also be fully human as only in this way could He stand in our place as a sacrifice for our sins and be our Mediator before God the Father (Job 9:32,33; Heb 2:14-17; 4:14-16; 1Tim 2:5). What a great idea God's idea is!

Thus as a Mediator between between a holy God and sinful humans (1 Tim 2:5, 6), Jesus Christ could become the sin sacrifice of all of us humans, being declared by His messengers and ambassadors sent by God (1 Tim 2:7), all who heard Him and believed Him can get saved through His name (Matt 1:21). Today we come to know from the Bible that there is no other name in heaven and earth given for all mankind to get saved except the name of Jesus through which all can become saved from sin and death to become friends with God forever (Acts 4:12; Jam 2:23-24). What the law could not do, the name of Jesus did to achieve friendship with God forever (Rom 1:16; Acts 13:38, 39). Praise the Lord!

Have you believed the name of Jesus? If you have believed, God has promised to save you and your household too (Acts 16:31). What a extravagant God we have! Fully throw yourself at the mercy of God in to His hand, you will be saved, as it now can only be received as a gift through the Lord God Jesus Christ, and through Him only in all the world. Especially you can do nothing before God to deserve it, or boast before Him of your achievement in receiving salvation as you know you have done nothing to gain it but rather have only received it (Eph 2:8, 9). Jesus is the only way of salvation, now all you have to do is to believe and trust Him that He has done it all, He has finished the great work of salvation on behalf of you (John 6:39, 40). What can we do for God now? Only believe Jesus whom God has sent for you and me, and all will be well according to His word for eternity ahead (John 6:28-29).

Now receive God's forgiveness that He offers to you freely in the name of Jesus Christ by calling on the name of the Lord.

The following prayer will help you do this my friend:

"Dear God, I confess that I am a sinner and am sorry for all the wrongs that I have done. I believe that your Son, Jesus Christ, died on the cross for my sins. Please forgive me. I invite you Jesus, to come into my heart and life as my Lord and Savior. I commit and trust my life to you. Please give me the desire to be what you want me to be, and to always do what pleases you and do away with anything more or less from me that tries to please myself. Thank you for dying for my sins, for your free pardon, for your gift of eternal life, and for hearing and answering my prayer. Amen."

Now God has heard your prayer that you have prayed from your heart to save you for sure. Now read your Bible daily asking the Holy Spirit to transform your life just like Jesus. Pray and have relationship with God daily as He has now become your Heavenly Father and eternal friend who will take care of your life. Go to a Evangelical or Pentecostal Spirit filled Church nearby and learn more from the Bible about Jesus, and how you can serve Him more and more all the days of your life. Praise God! Hallelujah!

PLEASE CLICK ON THE FOLLOWING BANNER "I have accepted Christ today," if you have prayed with me the above prayer, then read MY PERSONAL FAMILY LETTER TO YOU!

https://apostolicrevelation.blogspot.com/2017/04/my-first-letter-to-my-family-member.html

Now that you are forgiven by God, forgiven people forgive others (Eph 4:32). God wants you to forgive the faults of other people all your earthly life just as He has forgiven you of all your faults in Christ Jesus though you have done nothing to deserve the forgiveness He has given you (Matt 6:12, 14-15). In the same way, your great forgiveness may even be despised by others who do not deserve it too (Rom 12:18), but any way no matter what, forgive them anyway everyday no matter what many times (Matt 18:21, 22). Only hurt people hurt others, so do not be overcome by evil, rather overcome evil with good, there by allowing God to take vengeance of His in His time for His Glory through your life (Rom 12:17, 19, 20, 21).

The Bible says "God is perfect in all His ways" (Psa 18:30), we need His protection, He doesn't need ours. So who has told that we need to forgive God, as though He has sinned against you (Psa 145:17), it is the lie of the enemy who is the devil and his demons who accuse God of tempting people when in fact they are the agents and instigators of it (John 8:44-45, 46, 47-48), do not believe it to be deceived (2 Cor 4:4; 2:11; 11:3). Do you know that God cannot lie to sin by words because of the impeccability of the holiness of His character (Titus 1:2)? Do you know that you cannot blame God saying, "God is tempting me," when in fact your own sin nature tempts you to sin? Do you know God cannot be tempted by evil because He knows the end from the beginning (Isa 46:10), nor does he tempt anyone but only allows in His will the temptations to test our faith and strengthen it (Matt 6:13; 4:1; Jam 1:13; Luke 22:31-32; Job 1:12; 2:6)?

When you forgive others, you will forgive yourself automatically of your mistakes, and take stock of the fault you did the last time when you hurt others, and so this time, you will stay calm by the grace of God not to hurt others when they throw barb at you mindlessly. That is the way to overcome evil with good!

Much Love and Blessings....

Got Eternal Life?

What Is Eternal Life? How Do I Get It?

Question: What is eternal life? How do I get it?

Answer: Greetings in the name of God's only Begotten Son Jesus Christ (John 3:16)! When we speak or discuss about the word 'Eternal', the first thing that comes to our mind is what? I believe that the first thing we think about is, God and then about our relationship to Him. In other words, if we speak about the word 'eternal' and leave God out of our conversation, there is nothing more to speak about, as God is the reason for creating us who are eternal beings. So even though we are eternal created beings who have 'eternity' put within our hearts by God (Eccl 3:11), yet we cannot understand fully what God has done from the beginning to the end unless we start to believe what He has said about Himself in the Bible which is the Written Word of God, and not just try to understand such a infinite God by our wishful thinking which we call as logic and the science of research, which puts doubts and more doubts in to the existence of God and His creation, than give us any satisfied answer to our heart.

So to get a answer to our heart, we need to take the trail left by God in his word!

The first one is, God has said that he has loved the world and its people so much, that He gave His Only Begotten Son Jesus Christ for all its inhabitants who are sinners, that whoever believes in Him, will not perish but will have 'eternal life' (John 3:16). I mean this eternal life that God speaks about is not just to live forever, but to live with Him forever and enjoy Him and His Presence that He has promised all those believers in His Son Jesus Christ. I challenge everyone who reads to understand, on earth, no matter whether someone is a believer in God, or an atheist, still everyone has been equally exposed and has been made available to the goodness of God in the land of the living (Matt 5:45), so that God might be groped for and found by every human who has been born on earth (Acts 17:26-27). That is the reason God has made every human as eternal beings who will live forever.

I mean, as humans by our natural birth on earth, as sinners by birth and choice, if we do not receive the above instruction of God to receive Jesus Christ before the day we die, we will by our own choice will die in our sins and will go on to get condemned for all the sins we have done in our life before God one day in the judgment day of God, and then will be forever be separated from the goodness of God and His Presence forever and ever to live in the fires of hell where worms never die and the fire never gets quenched (Mark 9:48; 2 Thess 1:10; Rev 19:11-20:4).

The second trail left by God, is to fellowship with God, and know Him now on earth as it will be in our future time in heaven. For that matter the Bible reveals, "11 And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12 He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life." (1 John 5:11-12, NIV). In another way Jesus expressed the meaning of the word 'eternal life' by saying, "Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent." (John 17:3). So the clear answer to what is eternal life is this, to know personally and privately, who is the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom He has sent to reveal Himself to humankind, so that knowing Him personally we can enjoy eternal fellowship with Him.

I would love to illustrate and drive the point the Bible conveys to you easily through a story, years ago, there was a very wealthy man who, with his devoted young son, shared a passion for art collecting. Together they traveled around the world, adding only the finest art treasures to their collection. Priceless works of arts which were valued by millions adorned the walls of the family estate. The widowed, elder man looked on with satisfaction as his only child became an experienced art collector. The son’s trained eye and sharp business mind caused his father to beam with pride as they dealt with art collectors around the world.

As winter approached, war engulfed the nation, and the young man left to serve his country. After only a few short weeks, his father received a telegram. His beloved son was missing in action. The art collector anxiously awaited more news, fearing he would never see his son again. Within days, his fears were confirmed. The young man had died while rushing a fellow soldier to a medic.

As he opened the door, he was greeted by a soldier with a large package in his hand. He introduced himself to the man by saying, "I was a friend of your son. I was the one he was rescuing when he died. May I come in for a few moments? I have something to show you." As the two began to talk, the soldier told of how the man’s son had told everyone of his, not to mention his father’s, love of fine art. "I’m an artist," said the soldier, "and I want to give you this." As the old man unwrapped the package, the paper gave way to reveal a portrait of the son.

Though the world would never consider it the work of a genius, the painting featured the young man’s face in striking detail. Overcome with emotion, the man thanked the soldier, promising to hang the picture over the fireplace. A few hours later, after the soldier had departed, the old man set about his task.

True to his word, the painting went well above the fireplace, pushing aside thousands of millions of dollars of paintings. And then the man sat in his chair and spent Christmas gazing at the gift he had been given. During the days and weeks that followed, the man realized that even though his son was no longer with him, the boy’s life would live on because of those he had touched. He would soon learn that his son had rescued dozens of wounded soldiers before a bullet stilled his caring heart.

As the stories of his son’s gallantry continued to reach him, fatherly pride and satisfaction began to ease the grief. The painting of his son soon became his most prized possession, far eclipsing any interest in the pieces for which museums around the world clamored. He told his neighbors it was the greatest gift he had ever received.

The following spring, the old man became ill and passed away. The art world was in anticipation!

The auctioneer with great respect for those who had come, announced with his deep voice, "Ladies and Gentlemen, today is one of the greatest day of all who have come here, dreams would be fulfilled this day; greatness would be achieved as many know for sure that, 'I have the greatest collection money can ever buy.' The auction began with a painting that was not on any museum’s list, it was the painting of the man’s son. The auctioneer asked for an opening bid. The room was silent.

The auctioneer started with thousands of dollars and kept on decreasing to make it affordable for anyone who really wanted to buy the portrait of the only begotten Son of the owner of the whole house, in whose memory the whole event was organized, but no one from the rich man's world cared enough for the portrait of the Son, suddenly a outlier gardener who loved the gallant sacrifice of the Son for the country which included him, entered the room to everyone's disgust and pulled out a old ten dollar note and shouted to the auctioneer, "10 DOLLARS, THIS IS ALL I HAVE, GIVE IT TO ME....".

The wildly amazed auctioneer shouted back to the frail and old gardener saying, "Going once 10 Dollars, going twice 10 Dollars. Gone and DONE. IT IS FINISHED!" The auctioneer looked at the audience and announced that the auction was over. Stunned disbelief quieted the room. Then the auctioneer announced that according to the will of the father who was the owner of the entire house, whoever takes the son's portrait which was not appealing....gets it all."

Putting things into perspective, doesn’t it say all about the gospel story of Jesus Christ? Just as those art collectors discovered on that auction Day, the message is still the same: the love of a Father, a Father whose greatest joy came from His Son, the Father sent His Son for a mission because of His love for people, the Son went away and gave His life rescuing others. And now because of that Father’s love, whoever takes the Son, gets it all.

Today I as an auctioneer of God, I cry out to you who is in need of eternal life, you may be a poor wretched sinner who is so poor enough that you cannot save yourself from death which is the curse of sin (Rom 5:12-21), but you can choose to become rich for eternity by choosing to accept the portrait of the Son of the house which is the message of the good news of the Gospel which is able to save your spirit, soul and body in which you live now temporarily on earth (Heb 3:6), of whose son you will become once you accept the portrait of his death on the Cross for you (John 1:12; Gal 3:1). Will you not do it today, won't you not do it today (2 Cor 6:1-2)? On behalf of God I am pleading with you (2 Cor 5:20)! Choose the portrait of the Son and not mock it (Matt 27:44; Luke 23:39, 40, 41, 42-43), don't you realize that He died on the cross being mocked to death for your sins so that you can have eternal life because of His death!!!

The following prayer will help you do this my friend:

"Dear God, I confess that I am a sinner and am sorry for all the wrongs that I have done. I believe that your Son, Jesus Christ, died on the cross for my sins. Please forgive me. I invite you, Jesus, to come into my heart and life as my personal Lord and Savior. I commit and trust my life to you. Please give me the desire to be what you want me to be, and to do only what you want me to do.

Praise God! Hallelujah!
