Command Your Soul And Become The Lord's Commander

As a born again person because of believing in Jesus, all of us have been given a new life and a new way of living (Heb 10:20). We should all strive to walk by new covenant life which the Spirit of God provides (2 Cor 3:6; Rom 6:4). In the Old Covenant time it was the letter of the law that was followed by people that gave them external purity, but it was not able to alter their inner life within their soul which made their whole body unclean through evil thoughts and desires (Mark 7:20-23).
Jesus did not come to make a new religion out of the Old Testament by fullfilling it, but instead by fulfilling and annuling this faulty covenant He might be able to reinstate a New Covenant which will alter the inner life of all those who will receive it (Matt 5:17-18; Heb 8:7). We have become a new creation altogether of a heavenly order, therefore even though we see the evil work of our soulish nature which has trained us from our childhood trying to overcome this new life, God has forever declared those old things to have passed away (2 Cor 5:17). God has now declared us new, therefore He has asked us to believe that all things including the old thinking to have passed away, instead all the things of our spirit, soul and body which is controlled by our thinking and thought life to have become new because of the mind of Christ given to us from within when we were born again through believing Jesus (1 Cor 2:16). In other words, when God sees a believer, he sees the believer apart seperately from his behavior (Rom 7:15-20). So that the believer who wins some some and loses some test could confidently forget it by being cleansed by the blood of Jesus, through confessing their sins to the Lord (1 John 1:7, 9; Heb 9:14), and as a result of it build the faith muscle more and more to become a spiritual heavy weight for the GLORY OF GOD!
Now because of this new life received by us in our spirit-man inside us, we have the choice and ability to live out this new life by the power and person of the Holy Spirit who is given as a stand by helper to lead us in to the depth of this new God-life within us (John 14:26). Because our soul is still under the influence of the sin nature, if we do not renew our soul with our new thinking of Christ that comes within our spirit, our behaviour will not change to the new way of living that God has given to us. This potential of new life of God which lies within us get tapped into and becomes active only as we recharge it with regular prayers and the word of God (1 Tim 4:15; 1 Thes 5:17).
The power of the new life is not our working to please God, rather it is his working and his idea working in us that pleases him (Php 2:13). Once we are recharged with the heavenly power of God through connecting with God through His word and back to him in prayer, our spirit man gets very much energised and strong. Then fallen soul needed to be commaded under the power of the spirit-man by commanding it through our mouth saying, "1 Bless the LORD, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name! 2 Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: 3 Who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases, 4 Who redeems your life from destruction, who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, 5 Who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s." (Psa 103:1-5). In other words, as we command our soul and train it to adapt itself to the new way of living that comes to us through the new way of thinking, we will experience a joy from within that will make us "rejoice in the Lord always" so that we will also be able to tell again later to others to "rejoice!!!" (Php 4:4). Man of God like king David in the Old Covenant itself were able to experience this New Covenant phenomena because of their faith connection with God (Psa 97:12). If we don't train and discipline ourselves, we will not be able to experience this superabundant life that Jesus had made available for us through his precious death and resurrection on behalf of us. THE NEXT TIME YOU ARE THINKING OF GOD'S GOODNESS TOWARDS YOU AND ARE RENEWED IN STRENGTH RATHER THAN FRET, FUME AND BE SUNK IN THE PIT OF WORRY WHICH IS PROFITLESS, REMEMBER, YOUR DISCIPLINE OF COMMANDING YOUSELF TO REMEMBER AND BLESS THE LORD IS PAYING OFF RICH DIVIDENDS SPIRITUALLY . Then pat yourself on your shoulder because you have become a Lord's commander over your old-self. Rejoice and Rejoice always!
