Can You Give A Gist Of Main Differences Between The Rapture And The Second Coming Of Jesus?

How Do We Know For Sure That The Rapture And The Second Coming Of Jesus Are Different Scripturally?

Question: I know that a lot of people do not want to differentiate Biblically by rightly dividing the Word of God to see the Rapture of the Church from the sky and the Second Coming of our Lord Jesus Christ to the earth as different and unique events (2 Tim 2:15), and not the same though they look the same with minute differences. And along with that, a lot more controversies have come with the Post, Pre and Mid Tribulation debates that have raged on in Christian circle for at least the last hundred years on and still it is going on. Can you give a gist of main differences, that can convince the doubters that the Rapture of the Church from the sky and the Second Coming of our Lord Jesus Christ to the earth are indeed different events?

Answer: Greetings to you in Jesus wonderful name! Doubters will remain doubters until they open the Word of God the Bible and choose to trust the unadulterated truth by hearing what the Spirit of God says from the Word of God, and accept the messengers of God and their word as that which has come to them as a spoken Rhema word from the mouth of God, who speak the truth not with personal vested interest but for the Glory of God, only then they will move on from being doubters to believers
(1 Thess 2:13; John 6:29; Mark 9:23). Yes you are right, in Christendom controversies exist and a lot more do come when people do not read the Word of God just as it is, but rather read in to it their man made and man taught doctrine that has misled them in to believing tradition than the pure unadulterated Word of God that the Spirit of God ministers to all those who believe with a open heart, to learn and be a disciple of Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit who is the like-teacher who has been sent by Jesus to reveal Himself to his disciples and make them be edified, empowered and then evangelize the world (Matt 28:19-20; Mark 7:13). Doubting the Word of God is a disease of the fallen soul, and the medicine for its cure is believing the Word of God.

Why do all Christians as a whole do not understand the intricate differences between the Rapture and the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, except some who grasp it? It is only to His disciples that our Lord reveals His innermost thoughts and most intimate secrets. While our Lord spoke plainly to His disciples of His plans and purposes, these were carefully concealed from the masses, as Mark the Gospel writer explains this phenomenon saying,
“And He was not speaking to them without parables; but He was explaining everything privately to His own disciples” (Mark 4:34). Jesus revealed further saying in another place of the same Mark Gospel, "To the disciples it has been given the mystery of the Kingdom of God; but those who are outside as just believers get everything in mysterious concealed parables which they cannot fully understand because the deeper truth of it is hidden purposely by God deeply within.” (Mark 4:11-12, Paraphrased). Never forget, discipleship brings one into a level of intimacy with the Lord that others cannot experience. It is only to His intimate disciple friends that His intimate secrets are revealed (John 15:15). So let us learn to be a true follower of Jesus Christ out Lord and Savior.

I have already written as post which will help you in knowing when the Church will be raptured titled, 'How Can We Convince People That Post-Mid Imminent Tribulation Is The Real One?'.

Yes I will give a gist gist of main differences, that can convince the doubters that the Rapture of the Church from the sky and the Second Coming of our Lord Jesus Christ to the earth are indeed different events.

We should understand that in
1 Thess 4:16 Paul the apostle spoke about the rapture of the Church, but the same apostle in 1 Cor 15:51-52 spoke about the Second Coming of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Here is a post I have written titled, '5 Reasons Why First Corinthians Fifteenth Chapter Speaks About Second Coming'. This will give you a clear idea that these two events proclaimed by the same apostle Paul are not the same event, but rather a different event within the span of three and half years or even less than that as the Tribulation time will be reduced by God Almighty or else no human on earth will be able to survive through this end time ordeal as Jesus Himself assured all humanity of the veracity of the truth in it (Matt 24:21-22; Rev 3:10). We can also read about the Second Coming further in the writing of John the beloved apostle of love in his book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ which was the last book by him (Rev 19:11-21), and also in the book of the prophet Zechariah who foretold prophetically of this event even during the Old Testament days before Jesus ever came to the earth as the Son of God and Son of man (Zech 14:1-21). Here we go...

1) THE RAPTURE - Christ comes for His own, THE SECOND COMING - Christ comes with His own.

2) THE RAPTURE - Christ appears in the air to remain in the sky and return back with His saints to the Father's Palaces built for them in the New Heaven and New Earth, THE SECOND COMING - Christ comes back to the earth.

3) THE RAPTURE - Christ comes as a loving Bridegroom for the Church which is His Bride, THE SECOND COMING - Christ comes as a vengeful warrior to judge sin on earth and fulfill God's justice in all the earth - i.e. KING OF KINGS and LORD OF LORDS.

4) THE RAPTURE - Only His own see Him, THE SECOND COMING - Every eye shall see Him.

5) THE RAPTURE - Time of great joy for believers who are saved, THE SECOND COMING - Time of great fear for unbelievers who are lost.

6) THE RAPTURE - A secret disappearence, THE SECOND COMING - A public appearance.

7) THE RAPTURE - Focus is on the Lord and His Church, THE SECOND COMING - Focus in on Israel and His Kingdom.

8) THE RAPTURE - Watchful and praying Church believers are rescued from worldwide Tribulation, THE SECOND COMING - The watchful Tribulation saints who are alive and scattered all over the earth are accepted in to Jesus' earthly Kingdom to be comforted while the unbelievers will be totally annihilated from the earth.

The above being said, are the main points every believer needs to believe in order to live a holy life of watchfulness and prayer, and be raptured when Jesus comes to take the Church to the new heaven and new earth
(Luke 21:34-36; Mark 13:33; 1 John 2:15-17; 3:2-3).

Having heard the truth of the Rapture and the Second Coming, let us not sleep, instead let us motivate and encourage one another as we see the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ nearer and nearer than ever before in any other generation
(Matt 25:5-6; 1 Thess 5:4-6; Heb 3:13; 10:25; 1 Thess 5:11). Watch and be alert through continual prayer as a lifestyle!

Much Blessings...
