Prayer Changes Things

One Painful Problem!

Q : Praise the Lord Sir...! I want to share one of the painful problem in my sister's life. She married a pastor, his name is James. We are three siblings, myself is younger, having one brother who is elder for us. Before marriage my sister went for prayers and she was very much interested in worshipping God, so she liked to continue her life with the same pastor as her life partner and married him. But now she is very much worried with her life...He is very much abusing her, saying bad words, asking dowry etc... I can't Imagine how people can do such a bad thing by using God's Name...Please sir pray for my Sister, also for her husband's mind to get changed by your valuable prayers...Thank you...!

A : Greetings to you in Jesus name! So sad to hear about what has happened to your Sister. Yes it happens everywhere in Christendom. People are imperfect, and to see a person apart from the calling anointing brings out who they are to reality. Unless a person has allowed himself to be emptied by God on the inside, their self will show its true face when situations that are unfavorable to them comes before them. So only Jesus told every one of us to lift up our own cross of denying our self and follow Jesus
(Luke 9:23). It is true that your Brother in law is not as good as he seemed, but the Lord will touch Him deeply in the coming days and He will never be the same. Don't try to change peoples mind, but pray to the Lord and He will do it in His time and way. Yes I will be praying for your family and for your Sister's family specially. Just fretting and fuming about what has happened will do no good, but placing your burdens to God will give you peace and will make God to intervene in to the situations that are bad. As the great Apostle Paul who by experience and inspiration says, "6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus", let us by experience make this truth a part of our life and live an abundant blessed life of inspiration and comfort to all around us. Peaceful people give peace to others but peaceless people break other people in to pieces. So let us build others with the help of God and edify one another for the GLORY OF GOD! Prayer changes everything! Much Blessings....

This is a great challenge in any marriage, however, in the setting of a Christian home and marriage, we see many times that pastors have not understood their wife is also a "sister in Christ" and that they are called to honor the wife and be willing to give their life just as Jesus did for the church. Too often men in leadership positions like to place Christian women in submission that has nothing to do with relationship in a home and the love that God wants to place in the hearts of a man and a woman for each other. Study closely the verses in 1 Corinthians 13, always called the love chapter, but it must be understood it caarie over to the relationship of husband and wife too. If this pastor does not have this type of love for his own wife and is willing to sacrifice for her, then he is not doing as he should according to the word of God. Many husbands in ministry need to be bold and come forward to ask for forgiveness from their wife and from God. A friend of mine, Ap Lee Grady who is an editor for Charisma Magazine has a great ministry in this form of restoration.

Amen Brother Douglas. Yes the ministers must throw away their so called male ego and be ready to humble themselves to ask for forgiveness from their wife and from God when they fail to love their wives unconditionally like Christ loves the Church. A false pride due to acceptance before people should not deceive them to think that they are superior to their wife and can live with out a good attitude and relationship with them. A good relationship with wife is always a precondition for a satisfied life and for answered prayers personally (1 Peter 3:7). May God help all the pastors especially to live the word in their homes before they speak it in the pulpit. Thanks and Blessings...

I am in this type of relationship now 20 years. In the beginning the verbal abuse was much worse, but my prayer and fasting back then matched that terrible time. The Lord kept my mind. Now husband is older (late forties) and not so much abusive. But my faith and trust in the Father has grown leaps and bounds. Suffering for righteousness sake has made me rich in wisdom and understanding. Hope the other wife knows she is not alone. Let God mold you, and give you peace in this marriage so long as he doesn't hit you. You can survive and the marriage will improve in time.

About is one of the world's fast growing popular Bible study websites, attracting thousands of visitors daily from all around the world. We follow a unique revelatory apostolic seer writing from the Scripture with Rapture taking place any time after Mid-Point but before Great Tribulation begins through Antichrist, we use dispensational interpretation of Scripture and believe the Bible teaches salvation by grace through faith alone, and the eternal security of believers. We will focus mainly on apostolic teaching that will edify, equip and empower the saints to reach their full potential in Christ Jesus. Our goal is the edification, evangelism and empowerment of the last day Church that the Lord Jesus Christ is raising up before His triumphant return!
