A Question And A Prayer
Answer : Greetings to you in Jesus name! Thank you for your kind words. GLORY TO GOD! Praise the Lord that our web mininstry has been a blessing to you in your walk with the Lord. As for the divorce, absolutely it is a sin like any other sin, as the covenant with one's wife made before God was broken (Mal 2:14). Remarriage is not allowed but rather reconciliation is always encouraged (1 Cor 7:10-11). If there is no possibilty of reconciliation, until it happens it is recommended for both to remain unmarried. God hates divorces because it hurts the family of both the husband and wife, brings confusion of the evil one in to the blessed family life that God has ordained for each person, it breaks the lives of children who are born within the marriage wedlock who could have been raised as godly blessing to many if not for the divorce and unforgiveness starts to eat both the ex-spouse like a virus the very life of God given to them within and therefore demonic torturing curses will happen by God's soveriegn will if one does not let go of the things which has caused the hurt in to the hands of God unconditionally like God has forgiven their sins unconditionally (1 John 5:12; Matt 18:34-35; Eph 4:32; Col 3:13). And above all divorce is a sacrifice of one's family to the idol of self that brings shame to the name of our Lord by which we are called (Lev 18:21; Acts 11:26). The devil and his demonic cohorts will have a strong foothold in the life of the believers who still hold unforgiveness beyond the sunset (Eph 4:26-27). If a person divorces for any reason except for infidelity of one's spouse, Jesus himself has told that it is absolutely adultery. Whoever marries her who is divorced also commits adultery (Matt 19:9).
The New Testament standard has been raised to the highest level by the following proclamation of Jesus who said, " 27 “You have heard that it was said to those of old,‘You shall not commit adultery.’ 28 But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart. 29 If your right eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell. 30 And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell." (Matt 5:27-30). According to Jesus, lust is where all adultery in all the families of the earth starts and then destroy the homes. So even when a person starts to lust after a woman a spiritual adultery has happened already. If this spiritual problem is not brought before the Lord regularly and confessed, it might become a marriage breaker in the future of this person's family life (1 John 1:7, 9). God is always ready to forgive and cleanse us from all unrighteousness, but our willingness to approach the throne of grace boldly will help us appropriate His grace enough to resist this demonic spiritual adultery in our heart and thus can protect the family life of great blessings that God has ordained for each one of our lives (James 4:6-10). Jesus doesn't say that mutilating the sinful body parts will be the solution to overcome spiritual adultery, if that is so, then we will have no body parts or oppurtunity to again become tempted and approach God for overcoming grace and mercy in time of our need (Heb 4:16). Any single sin can lead to hell fire, if so how can we who are born with sin nature from our mother's womb can live without sinning to enter heaven (Psa 51:5)? Impossible. Here Jesus does not say to the believer to live without sin, if we can live without sin we do not need a Savior to save us from sin (Rom 4:4). Infact if we say we do not sin we are deceiving ourselves because of lack of truth and also if we say that we have not sinned at all in our life, we make God a liar who says that all have sinned and have fallen short of the glory of God (Eccl 7:20; 1 John 1:8, 10; Rom 3:23). Until we die we will have the inherent sin nature and we cannot live without sinning (1 John 1:8). In other words, we are sinners not because we sin, but because we are sinners we sin. The only clear possibility of entering heaven is by receiving the supernatural free gift of salvation to eternal life that comes to us not by works but by faith and faith alone (Rom 6:23; Eph 2:8-9). But we as we believers do not plan to sin but sin because of the weakness of the fleshly nature (Heb 5:2-3; Jam 5:17; Rom 7:19, 17), hence we should remind ourselves that we have an advocate who speaks on behalf of us before God the perfect judge and brings special grace to overcome and reign over sin (1 John 2:1-2; Rom 5:20-21). God has promised that though we fight against sin, it cannot have complete and continious dominion over us because we are under the grace of Jesus who has already won the war against sin and has perfectly destoyed sin and death (Rom 6:14; 1 Cor 15:56-57). When God sees a believer through Jesus, He sees them apart from all of their sinful behaviour (Rom 7:15-20). O what a relief to many believers who know this truth! God sees this way to make us get trained to overcome and have mastery over sin (1 Cor 9:27). This is a spiritual battle that goes on in the heart of all believers constantly (Gal 5:16-18).
So when the spiritual battle is won by a believer standing against it, the physical purity in the family life can be maintained and there will be no way for divorce to happen which always happens because of unsatisfaction in family life of a husband or wife, according to the false expectation that comes to influence their mind from the world through media in our times (Rom 12:2). Pornography accompanied with masturbation has also caused much spiritual problems in Christian homes in our generation, which if not taken to the Lord in regular confession to receive overcoming grace, has the potential to break families and rip apart good relationship. When the guilt comes for a believer who gets involved in such things, know that it is good that the Holy Spirit is making the heart of that believer get convicted so that they might approach the throne of God for a victorious life and blessedness of good relationship with in the family life (John 16:7-10). Feeling guilty for doing wrong is a healthy thing as long as it leads the person back to the God who forgives all sins and cleases from all unrighteousness when the sin is confessed (1 John 1:7, 9). Once it is confessed to God, the righteousness of Jesus will starts to cover us through impartation of revelation of the blood cleansing (1 John 1:7; Heb 9:14), that comes through the Holy Spirit who calls those things which do not exist as though they did and they come in to existence (John 16:8, 10; Rom 4:17). Praise the Lord for Jesus' own imparted righteousness day after day in to our heart which raises us from the deathly state of sin and bondage by God's resurrection power of the Holy Spirit (Php 3:9-11; Rom 8:11). Glory to God!
As for a Pastor leader in the Church, the standard for qualifying and continuing in leadership role has been clearly given by God through the exemplary apostle Paul. In it he emphasizes that a bishop or a pastor must me the husband of one wife, one who rules his own house well, having children in submission with all reverance (1 Tim 3:2, 4). So as for you I suggest that you take this to the Lord and make Him direct your steps with His very own eyes (Psa 32:8). It is good that you remain in your calling and pursue the call of God which will give you eternal dividends and joy unspeakable (1 Cor 7:20; 1 Peter 1:8-9). Go with the wise advise of a proven spiritual warrior and veteran Apostle Paul's advice, "26 I suppose therefore that this is good because of the present distress—that it is good for a man to remain as he is: 27 Are you bound to a wife? Do not seek to be loosed. Are you loosed from a wife? Do not seek a wife. 28 But even if you do marry [in the case of death of your spouse], you have not sinned; and if a virgin marries, she has not sinned. Nevertheless such will have trouble in the flesh, but I would spare you." (1 Cor 7:27-28). Firstly, seek for reconciliation and peace back with your divorced wife if possible, as much as it depends on you (Rom 12:18). If that goes well, praise the Lord! Secondly, if she does not agree with that, seek the grace of God and stay single to serve the Lord and glorify Him the rest of your life this way. You will have more joy given by the Lord in His Presence when you are devoted to Him alone (Psa 30:11; 16:11).
So sad that you have become blind by a very tragic accident, but I appreciate your spirit and passion that you have for the Lord. The Lord is able to heal and restore all the things that has been lost in your life, God will make you give double trouble to the devil and double blessings back to you than before if you continue to seek the Lord by faith (Zech 9:12). Because the Lord is a good God regardless of the problems you face, he knows all your problems privately and intimately and will definitely solve it all in His time when you trust Him with all your problems (Nah 1:7). All things God will work together for your good when you continue to love God, as He has called you according to His purpose (Rom 8:28). Thank God for the latest technology that gives you the ability to read now. I will be praying for your healing of the left eye first fully and as well as the right one, God is able to restore your sight completely and will do it (Psa 146:8). A winner is one who never gives up pursuing God's face, and I believe you are one. Praise the Lord!

Though God hates divorce; He Himself divorced from the His chosen ones. Hating of divorce is because of His love for His people, and He knows of the pain and suffering which people go thru is great because it is the breaking of vows made. However, Jesus died for all sins, if sin is involved. Jesus restores all people and he does not repent of His gifts or callings. When a person man or woman seeks and receives God's forgiveness for any sin, men are not to judge or forbid that person from being restored and reclaimed to serve the building of the Kingdom of God in any capacity where God places them and blesses them with His anointing and power in the Holy Spirit. It is for the spiritual authorities in the church to properly guide and reinstate by the love of God. Too many good men and women of God have been thrown on the trash heap of a religious spirit which Satan loves.
