Can We Pray To God Biblically For More Faith?

I Have Prayed And Asked The Lord To Give Me More Faith, Instead I Feel Like The Israelites Going Around In Circles In The Desert!

Question : Please help. I am about ready to give up. It seems that I struggle with unbelief or lack of faith. No matter how hard I try, I just cannot seem to overcome this problem. I have prayed and asked the Lord to give me more faith, to get rid of any hindrances that may be causing me to have unbelief. Instead I feel like the Israelites going around in circles in the desert.

Answer : Greetings to you in Jesus wonderful name! God says in His unchanging eternal Word that, "...Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God." (Rom 10:17). Do not keep asking God for faith, instead keep reading and hearing the Word of God, faith will come to you, then it will establish you in His will and way. God cannot give you faith now, because He has at the best already given you His Word that creates faith within your heart. So now it is up to you to believe His Word by delving deeper in to it and rise up greatly in your faith.

God will help you do the reaping when you faithfully sow the Word of God in to your heart. If there is any unforgiveness in your life towards anyone, let it go in to the hands of God and forgive them who have hurt you as freely as God has forgiven you in Christ (Luke 17:1-5; Eph 4:32; Matt 6:15). Then command the unforgiveness to go in Jesus name if the repeated thoughts against someone who has hurt you in the past comes again in your mind. The Devil who tries to keep you in unforgiveness and thus have a place within you to cause unbelief will flee away (Eph 4:26-27).

Then learn to obey all of God's command given to you personally in the Bible by believing it and persevering in it by faith so that at the right time God will start to bless you with more reward and more faith for still more reward till you step in to eternity at the time of your physical death where eternal reward will then be given to you for your mighty walk of faith on earth (Heb 10:35-36). So soak yourself in God's Word and all will become fine by the grace of God!!!!

Walk in faith till God get pleased and endure in it till your faith becomes proven (Heb 11:6; 1 Peter 1:4-9). Once it happens reward of God will follow you and make your life a life of blessedness on earth as it will be in heaven in your future. When God blessed you, always confess it to God that it is His faithfulness to provide and His benevolence to bless unconditionally has made a great difference in your life. Such things will please God more and more (Luke 17:6-10).

Then ask God for His strength to stay in wisdom to avoid unbelief by resisting the devil in your thoughts, and you will be greatly blessed with heavenly life of faith as God gives to all those who ask Him (James 1:5-8; 4:2-3, 7). Say to yourself, "I take my thoughts captive to the obedience of Christ...[i.e. when you feel a evil thought of unbelief comes.]" (2 Cor 10:3-6; Heb 3:12). God who sees you faith will drive away those demonic thoughts of unbelief that affects you by His Power after you declare the Word of God and say it with your mouth (Rom 10:6-11).

Faith is a shield, then a long distance race and also a war we do against our own fallen nature and the spiritual enemies of God which are in the heavenlies that uses that fallen nature within us to legally destroy us when we live by that fallen nature instead of the new nature of God which Jesus has given us within (Eph 6:10-12, 16; 2 Cor 5:17; Eph 4:24; Col 3:10). So persevere in faith by hearing more and more of the Word of God through your natural ears and then fight those unbelief by renewing your mind to become transformed within (Heb 3:13-14; Rom 12:2), which will then make your the spiritual ears of your heart to hear the voice of God within your heart to sustain you to run the race of faith with endurance, and win in the end victoriously without fail time after time for the Glory of God (1 John 5:4). If you keep practicing these above things over a period of time, the blessedness of your faith life will begin to be noticed by others to bring praise, honor and glory to God through your earthly life. A Deep Question About Talking In Tongues?

How Do I Know When I Utter In Tongue, It Is The Holy Spirit Giving Me Utterance And Not The Imaginative Play Of My Mind?

Question : Praise be to the Lord. Don't know where to start. I remember the time I came to your place first in Feb 2012 . That was the time when you shared with me the verses from 1 Corinthians 13 & 14 Chapters regarding speaking in tongues, and you explained them to me and also shared your Testimony of how you received the gift of tongues. I also shared with you that at that time I go to Vineyard Worker's Church where they speak in tongues as the spirit leads them under heavy anointing. However I never took talking in tongues seriously. I ignored the Word of God, was involved more into the worldly things. Was in the bondage of masturbation and pornography for a long time, which distanced me from God until recently, but I accidentally landed upon Emmanuel TV on YouTube. The various deliverance's that took place before my eyes reinforced the fear of the Lord in me, also revealing how Satan and his demons are inflicting youth like me through music, porn, masturbation, anger etc. I started praying sincerely and within 2-3 days I was completely delivered from all my addictions which were there for over a decade.

Specially wanted to write that earlier also I tried to let free from the same however I was never able to, its just the grace & love of God that has saved me.

Then I started praying more seriously and going through Scriptures until today, I came across the book of Acts 2 where on the Pentecost the disciples receive the gift of tongues. I felt this strong desire to go through your blog on the same since you introduced me to the topic. I studied it and sat for prayer....and shortly after that I was uttering things that I could not understand. It was repetition of small phrases. Praise be to God. Earlier also during prayer meetings in Vineyard Church I had similar urge to utter the words I do not understand. But I resisted because I did not understand. But today after going through your blog I discovered that in all the three types of Tongues the one who is speaking does not understand.

Whenever I am at vineyard church meeting when the heavy anointing of Holy spirit is there I feel some strange feeling near my nose and face. I enjoy it. Even now when I was uttering these prayer (tongues) I felt the same. I also would like you to confirm from the Bible whether I was really praying in tongues from that time on or was it just my mind making those uttering.

The same feeling of Holy Spirit manifesting that I feel in church reassures me that it was from God.

Request you to please help me with it.

Answer : Greetings to you in Jesus wonderful and mighty name! Yes I know the excitement that is in the air for you dear Brother. I too rejoice in the Lord for you and with you for what the Lord has been doing in your life to make you a blessing to others around you. Yes you are right and I remember vividly what I have shared to you regarding Baptism in the Holy Spirit and the external evidence of it in speaking in tongues.Yes I also remember that you said that you were going to Vineyard Worker's Church which is a sort of pentecostal and charismatic Church. By the way technically, it is not the gift of speaking in tongues but rather the Baptism with the Holy Spirit or the gift of the Holy Spirit with the external evidence of speaking in tongues which conforms that you have been baptized in the Holy Spirit according to the New Testament standard of the apostolic 1st century times (Acts 10:44-47; 11:15-18). Actually the gift of speaking in tongues which mostly comes with the interpretation of tongues is not given to all believers but rather to specific believers who are chosen by the Holy Spirit within the Church for edification purpose (1 Cor 12:10-11, 30).

Thank you for openly sharing your testimony for the Glory of God. I praise God that the Lord Jesus has set you free from this evil bondage of masturbation and pornography which is rampant with the Church of our generation, and causes great loss in the lives of many believers if it is continually ignored as not a serious thing to be dealt with. Masturbation and pornography are twin sisters of the evil One who act to break the fire within the lives of believers and keep them in its control. As you have shared, it will douse our love for God and will ignite a love for more of the world and the flesh. Once our love for God grows cold, our love for the Word of God will also reduce and get cold to that level (Luke 24:25-27, 32, 35; John 14:15-18). I believe the thirst for the Baptism of the Spirit comes only when we start to consecrate ourselves to love the Lord, desire to have more of Him in our actual experience to find victory in our Christian life, and also desire to please God in everything we do in our lives. Welcome to the army of the Lord from now on because through the prayer language of the Spirit which is tongues, you are going to wage war with all evil demons and spirits in the heavenly places that will and might come against you, your family, saints of the Church and the Ministers of God at various times of your present life from now on to stunt your spiritual growth (Eph 6:10-12, 18). But thank God as we pray in the Spirit through tongues, all the evil plans of the devils get completely demolished and the peace of God will start to reign through our lives as we grow more and more in the Lord to think the right thoughts by choice through replacing bad and evil thoughts with scriptural ones and positive ones (Rom 8:26-27; 1 Cor 14:18; 2 Cor 10:3-6; Php 4:4, 6-7).

Yes when we see the reality of Satan and his demons being cast out by the power of God, and the demons crying out its mixed truth and lies before the men of God and under the power of God (Acts 19:13-20), it is a sure evidence of judgment on sin, the world and all demons, and so it will reinstate the fear of the Lord within us and I praise God that through it the Lord has turned your heart towards Himself (Matt 12:25-30; John 16:7-15). Music, porn, masturbation, anger, etc....which are all the works of the flesh have been used by Satan and his demons especially for the last 25 years intensely to stir up lust and inflict serious damage to the spiritual life of all believers in our generation (Gal 5:19-21). But all believers cannot continue in such sins indefinitely because the seed of God which is the Holy Spirit remains in them and also God uses chastisement to correct all His erring children to turn to His right way and live a blessed life under His constant care and blessings (1 John 3:9; Heb 12:5-11). Thank God that somehow God was able to get your attention and make you understand it now itself rather than latter. The earlier we repent to God of our besetting sins, the better it is for us to gain time that we have lost in our past life without gaining any eternal treasure for our future life (2 Peter 1:2-11; Matt 6:19-21). Praise the Lord that the things that were impossible with men has finally been made possible with God when you cried out to Him for deliverance from all sinful bondage's and have finally received it for the Glory of God (Luke 18:27; Matt 19:26). I praise God that the struggle for freedom from addictive sins that has been there for decades have been completely overcome when you prayed sincerely to Jesus to deliver you from all of that and that proves that you are a disciple of Jesus (John 8:31-32, 36).

Yes I fully understand the struggle you had in the past because of bondage's to the evil one that got you confined in a prison and have made you miserable enough to frustrate you spiritually so much, that though you had the desire to write to me earlier but were not able to write because of those past bondage's. God also many times allows you to get frustrated in the sins bondage you are in, so that you will never want to enjoy it later after He delivers you, but rather hate those sins with a Holy hatred to therefore live in God's righteousness (Rom 6:15-16, 22). Now that you have been set free from many bondage's, you came to realize that your strength cannot free yourself from sin's power but only the grace of God can actually make you free from it. Because you have realized the grace of God, from now on no matter how much Satan and his evil demons might try to tempt you again, those sins will not be able to have dominion over you since you are not under law to get condemned and to repeat those cycles of sin under the grip of the fear of those bondage's which usually leads us to self-condemnation and separation from the consciousness of Lord's Presence because of lack of faith (Heb 2:15). Actually as you are under the realization of the grace of God that reigns over sin every time it faces sin to see it eye to eye (Rom 6:14, 21-23; Titus 2:11-14), grace will make you reign over sin in your present and future life. Truly God has made you realize that only the grace and the love of God has saved you. Praise the Lord!

Now I thank God for the thirst for more of God that He had given to you after you were delivered from all bondage's of the past, I do believe after we are saved all of us who are believers should thirst for more of God's Spirit till the end of our earthly lives (John 7:37-39). Every true deliverance of God will make someone hungry for the Word of God which only makes us grow spiritually, all other spiritual experiences will vanish away and will not give us eternal benefits to hold on (Heb 5:12-14; 1 Peter 2:2-3; 2 Tim 3:16-17; 1 Cor 13:1-2, 8-12). If God sees a man who is hungry for more of His Spirit, then He leads him to his most precious gift of Jesus who reveals Himself through the Scriptures and makes him ask in His name to the Father to receive the most precious gift of the Spirit next only to salvation that anyone can receive from God in Christ Jesus (Matt 3:11; Luke 24:27, 32; 11:9-13; Rom 8:32; John 16:23; Gal 3:14). Yes Acts 2:1-4 is the basis of our faith for receiving the Baptism of the Holy Spirit or the gift of the Holy Spirit which started with the 120 thirsty disciples who waited upon God to be filled with the Spirit, and thus the Church of Jesus Christ was born on that day officially and it has continued for the past two thousand years in power (1 Cor 2:4; 4:20). I praise God that Jesus had promised to send the Holy Spirit to teach all believers and lead them in to the truth of Jesus personally, and thus provide a personal guidance and reminders of remembrance which He has been promised to provide for us all through the Divine teacher in us who is the Holy Spirit (John 14:26; 1 John 2:27). Initially it might be a repetition of small phrases as the Bible itself confirms that by saying, "by stammering lips and another tongue, the Lord will speak to His people and this will be the spiritual rest which will cause the weary people to rest spiritually in joy and gladness." (Isa 28:11-12). A person who stammers will keep repeating the same word or phrase repeatedly until the next word comes out of their mouth, so that they will be able to make others understand them. In the same way, it might even just be a word or half a syllable that comes to our mouth from our spirit, but as we keep stammering that word by faith (Gal 3:14), God will help us speak in all types of unknown tongues as times passes by because once we receive this gift of the Spirit, He will be pleased with our faith. Sometimes it is a outburst of tongues that flow like a river at the time God baptizes people, yet at other times it is a trickle of words and the same syllable that keeps coming to our mouth. No matter whether it comes in trickle or like a river, yet we do not understand anything of the Spirit's prayer unless we get a interpretation for the same, but right through out our time of praying, thanking and worshiping the Lord in tongues, He understands every bit of it and will be happy to fulfill all of it without fail because it is actually the Spirit of God knowing the will of God for all situation, intercedes for an answer from the Father God in heaven (1 Cor 14:5, 10, 15-17). God always answers all prayers from heaven that which He initiates in His will (1 John 3:20-21; 5:14-15), and we know that all the prayer of the Spirit is actually from God though we might not understand what the content of the prayer is unless the Spirit of God reveals it with an interpretation of tongues or gives understanding in our mind about it (1 Cor 2:11-13; Rom 8:26-28).

The urge to speak in tongues usually comes once we start asking God for the gift of the Holy Spirit or we become more hungry for God. But our reasoning mind may become the biggest obstacle to express that urge we feel from our spirit man. The wrong doctrines that we might have learned against speaking in tongues in some of our denominations in our past life also sometimes becomes a obstacle to express by faith what we feel inside of us. All these things have to be unlearned to freely receive the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the external evidence of speaking in tongues. To those who come honestly to God, he helps in a moment of time to overcome all these hindrances and receive the great gift of the Holy Spirit. This is what I believe has happened to you in the present home Church where you are in, and because you honestly sought God for this, God has freely given to you the gift of the Spirit to bless you spiritually and make you a blessing to many in the coming days. We actually have to by pass the mind to get the words and prayers of the Spirit to our mouth. Even after the words of the Spirit through their spirit comes to their mouth also, sometimes some people confuse themselves because of lack of faith, the fear of unknown and lack of understanding of the word they speak supernaturally, all of which will make them to pull backward to restrain themselves from moving in to the supernatural experience of receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit which comes from God. Once we move in faith, feelings will follow it. But the common thing in all of them will be the joy of heaven, peace and righteousness which surrounds their soul when they come in to contact with the Kingdom Presence of God (Rom 14:17). Then there will be a bubbling love for God and His Word that the soul will crave for when someone receives the Baptism in the Holy Spirit or the anointing to minister to others (1 Peter 2:2-3). This is one of the main evidence of truth within a person, who when a doubt comes to make them doubt the work of God can use it to destroy the doubt and instead grow in confidence of faith when God gives them the Baptism in the Spirit with the external evidence of speaking in tongues.

Yes are right in your assurance that you are speaking in tongues, because the joy of the Lord and peace of God is edifying your mind instantly, and that is why the blessed feeling of you worshiping the Lord in the Church comes again (Psa 16:11). 1) First the Lord has saved you by His grace because of His Love for you, and you have the assurance that you are saved. This is the first point that you have fulfilled perfectly for asking to God for the blessing of the Spirit filling (Eph 5:17-18). I do not say that a person cannot receive salvation and the Baptism in the Spirit at the same time because we have seen in the first great move of the pentecostal revival spearheaded by apostle Peter and his co-workers to the Gentiles, they received both salvation and the gift of the Holy Spirit at the same time instantly by the sovereign move of God (Acts 10:44-48; 11:14-18). Like this God can many times fall upon a crowd of people who are hungry for God to save and fill them all at the same time. Yet the norm of the apostles was to first preach the gospel, baptize people in water and then lay hands on the saved people to impart the gift of the Holy Spirit by the prayer of faith (Acts 8:9-13, 14-25; 19:2-6).

2) You searched from the Scripture and have done your home work to confirm from the Scriptures of what you have heard from me is in the Scripture, and that the Lord has give you a conviction to seek for it (Acts 17:10-11). 5) Now the only thing that is left is the doubt that comes to your mind of whether this tongues is the real one or not? Sometimes you might have questions like, 'Is this really God's gift or a demonic counterfeit or something that has been made up in my own imagination of my mind but thought to be a tongue phenomenon?' For this Jesus Himself answers your doubt by saying, "When you ask for the gift of the Holy Spirit sincerely by keeping on asking, seeking and knocking, you will receive it once and for all, then after that find it often from then on when ever you want which will cause all doors that has been shut in your past spiritual life to be opened continually to bring more and more Glory to God." (Luke 11:9-10, Paraphrased). After this Jesus answers all the doubts of your logical mind by asking you to answer the following questions, "11 If a son asks for bread from any father among you, will he give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent instead of a fish? 12 Or if he asks for an egg, will he offer him a scorpion?" (Luke 11:11-12). Your answer will be a BIG NO TO ALL OF THE ABOVE, none of our human answer would ever be yes to the above questions if we are honestly answering with a sane mind. Jesus then hits the final nail to the coffin of all our human doubts regarding the validity of the received or yet to receive authentic gift of the Holy Spirit from heaven by saying, "If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!” (Luke 11:13). In other words, because you have honestly asked, sought and knocked the door of heaven and the throne of God constantly to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit with the external evidence of speaking in tongues, God the Father guarantees to make sure to you that neither your imagination nor the interference of demonic influence can ever deny you from receiving the true gift of God which He has given to you because you are God's own dear child (Luke 10:19-20). Even if you doubt, God's love cannot fail!!!! Praise the Lord!

Brother I Need Your Advice...Regarding My Marriage.

If I Am Marrying A Christian Girl, How Can I Know This Is The Girl That God Has Chosen For Me?

Question : Brother I need your advice about what to do in this present condition I experience in my personal life. My father has four brothers, and all came yesterday morning along with others who are our relatives and altogether eleven people, to just eat my head and torture me to marry a unbelieving girl. Since morning to evening they just gave me so many lectures such as Christianity is not my religion, it's not good because your parents will suffer if you worship Jesus and they worship their gods. They have said that because my parents health are not good and that my father's nose bleeds without any reason, I should marry only whom they say within our community, for their sake I said OK to marry a unbelieving girl. But actually in my heart I want to marry only a believing girl and want to worship only Jesus. Please pray for me so that God will show me the way so that I can only follow Jesus. Brother if I am marrying a Christian girl, how can I know this is the Girl that God has chosen for me?

I understand how hard it is for a person like you to carry on in faith knowing that your parents are still unbelievers. But I also know that God is faithful to stand by your side no matter what, if you trust Him and hold on to His hand constantly. This is the verse I want to give to you for passing through this crisis in your life, "Commit your future to the LORD! Trust in him, and he will act on your behalf." (Psa 37:5, NET Bible). Do not rush in to your marriage trying to please your parents who are unbelievers but rather wait for the Lord in this matter to please Him perfectly. God always acts on behalf of those who wait for Him to act in their lives (Isa 30:18), and He may supernaturally change the mind of your parents and relatives at some point of time to give consent to your marriage with a believer, or else even without them God is able to help you do His perfect will to be blessed for eternity ahead (Eph 3:20). God wants to prove your faith to know that you love Him more than you love your natural father and mother, because the way God loves you is much more than your natural parents can and wants your total allegiance to only Him (Luke 11:13; Isa 66:13; Psa 27:10). But in this critical test of worthiness for your future reward, God is just watching whether you are able to carry on to become a disciple or just stay a believer (Matt 10:37; Luke 14:26; John 12:42-43; Matt 27:57; John 19:38). God is not ready to give up on you because of His love for you and therefore He will never leave you or forsake you as you have believed Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and have become as His dear child (Heb 13:5; Eph 5:1). So that is the reason you are put to test in your spiritual life and God has promised to not let you be tested beyond what you are able, but has promised to give you strength to bear it all if you reach out to Him constantly with your faith in His promises (Heb 12:6-8; 1 Cor 10:13; Heb 10:35-36). You can trust God through this test and can come out in flying colors for the Glory of God and become a example to others behind you to inherit God's great wealth and blessings for now and eternity ahead.

Because our God is a living God (Psa 42:2; Matt 16:16; Mark 12:27), He speaks through His Word (Heb 4:12-13), His servants (1 Peter 5:5-6), your circumstances (Rom 8:28-30) and most of all within your heart (Rom 8:16). God gives peace that passes your understanding of the finite mind and keeps it that way once you come to Him with your marriage choice (Php 4:6-7), then after that when you commit that matter continually to the Lord (Prov 16:3), He will lead the alliance to become possible by the co-operation of the main elders of both the families, friends, relatives for the marriage to take place in the fixed date (Prov 16:7).

When you have peace, even if there is nobody to stand with you to support your marriage (1 Cor 7:15-16), God will stand by you as you have heard His voice and have taken a decision to honor Him (1 Sam 2:30; Psa 91:15). Then the girl will willingly agree to marry you with all her heart because she will also have conviction given by God to take you as her partner for life.

To choose godly partner in marriage led by God's guidance falls in to three categories, they are as follows : (1) GOOD WILL OF GOD (Rom 12:2) - You can marry any Christian girl believing the Word of God which prohibits a believer to marry an unbeliever, and as you do it because you want to obey God's basic commands which are for your good (2 Cor 6:14), God will be pleased to bless you in the good level of the will of God which is the basic level. In this level of the will of God, you are entitled to all the Kingdom's provision, protection and promotion for participation in faith. (2) ACCEPTABLE WILL OF GOD (Rom 12:2) - This level of the will of God is the one which makes a person to wait upon God, and asks God further to show the right girl to marry by committing their desires as a sacrifice to God, and then continue to pray until God responds with his answers. But once they find someone acceptable to their mind the believer might settle for that person which God sets before them as He/She might have what they have been desiring based on their good look, educational qualification, wealth, etc along with their spiritual desire for God. But people who settle for this level of the will of God will be blessed greatly in areas such as financial, social, physical, soulish and a little bit less than the final level in their spiritual blessings which according to God is the greatest blessing that a person could receive from God, so though this level is acceptable to God yet these people will remain without the perfect level of blessings which is the ultimate level. (3) PERFECT WILL OF GOD (Rom 12:2) - People who do this level of the will of God will wait indefinitely without any per-condition or will have no desires of their own expect to fulfill the perfect will of God to please God and live for the furtherance of the Kingdom of God. Such people who do this perfect will of God will be blessed ultimately and perfectly to the full, generations after generations for a thousand generations the mercies, grace and His hand of favor will be upon them and their descendants.

God will always choose a girl with you in His will and not apart from you, and will in no way impose His will on you any time by His Sovereign hand. So you can settle for any level of the will of God, and by the way all the different level of the will of God are right in His sight. But all of it uniquely have different level of rewards according to what pleases God the most or at least more than the other.

Seek the will of God with all your heart and you will never be disappointed later in your life and will thus live in satisfaction for the rest of your eternity.

Why Did Jesus Tell People To ‘Go And Sin No More’ If Sinlessness Is Impossible?

Could We As Believers In Christ Jesus Tell To Other Humans, 'Go And Sin No More...?'

Question : Could we as believers in Christ Jesus tell to other humans, 'Go and Sin no more...?' I believe that because Jesus said, "whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do..." (John 14:12), we should also like Jesus lay hands on the hick to heal them with the power of God and also tell to those receive the miraculous touch of the Lord to go and sin no more. Jesus Christ gave us that authority 2000 years ago it's just that today's Christians unlike Peter and Paul and the others are lazy and faithless. In Matthew 28 the great commission says it all. Also we know Peter the apostle raised Tabitha literally from the dead (Acts 9:36-42). What do you think about this issue?

Answer : Greetings to you in Jesus wonderful name! Jesus could say 'Go and sin no more,' because Jesus was the Messiah who not only forgave people's sin but also gave them the power to overcome the sin habit itself by breaking the yoke of that sinful habit which was oppressing upon their lives. We could not say like Jesus said, because we do not have the power to give people victory over sin like Jesus, but we can point them to Jesus and give them a assurance that they will overcome sin habit if they follow Jesus with faith. Some times Jesus delivers people from bondage instantly when they get saved, still others struggle over some pet sin or besetting sin over a long period of time even after they are born-again, after which someday Jesus removes it from them completely seeing their sincere desire and faith for sanctification. But the good news for all people is, 'If Jesus sets them free from sin of any kind by pronouncing over their lives, indeed they will be free forever." (John 8:36). So our good news message to people who are struggling with sin is, first be saved from sin by believing Jesus as your Lord and Savior to be saved and safe for eternity ahead to have a assured place with God as his friend in heaven (John 6:39-40; 14:1-3), and then keep fighting sin in Jesus name until sin is killed in thee, lest not you taking sin seriously lest it not kill thee thine abundant life of God on earth and its reward for eternity ahead (John 10:10).

Yes Jesus healed the sick always, but He did not always say to them, 'sin no more' when he sent them away except two times, the first one when a man was invalid lying near the pool of Bethesda who was clearly sick because of sin that brought it and the other time was when the woman who was caught in adultery had spiritual sickness in her soul that brought her near to being stoned to public death (John 5:14; 8:11), in both the instance Jesus clearly understood that they were suffering in their lives because of sin's wages and told them like that because He could give them the power to live a overcoming life over sin. In saying, “Go and sin no more,” in both the cases Jesus was not speaking of sinless perfection as no human could live sinlessly perfect except Jesus who lived for us (Eccl 7:20; Rom 3:23; 1 John 1:8, 10). He was warning against a return to sinful lifestyle choices by continuing to depend on Him to live an overcoming life.

The Scripture you are speaking says in detail and clearly points to Jesus saying about "Greater Things..." is not just the miracles, signs and wonders Jesus did, and by the way no one can replicate it all honestly with the same intensity because the gift has been divided and have been given to various people within the Church. But we can preach to people that we are saved by the blood of Jesus and tell them about the GOOD NEWS of salvation that leads to freedom from sin to receive eternal life of relationship with God Almighty as His best friend for eternity ahead (John 14:12). Preaching the gospel through personal experience will make us exercise the power to forgive the sins of people by the empowerment of the Holy Spirit working through us to help people experience forgiveness of sins by the words of supernatural wisdom and knowledge that God sends or speaks through our mouth, which will make people experience supernatural freedom and deliverance from sins (John 20:21-23; 1 Cor 12:7-11, 28-31; Isa 55:11; Matt 4:4). Now within the Church, the gifts of manifestation the Spirit are specialized and distributed according to the will of the Holy Spirit, who works differently through each one's gift that Jesus has given them (Eph 4:11-12; Rom 12:3-8; 1 Cor 12:6-7, 11). So no one human can do all Jesus did in quality in signs, wonders and miracles as our Chief Apostle along with forgiveness of sins in many cases that He gave to people out of His own will (Mark 2:10; Matt 9:6; Luke 5:24; Heb 3:1; 2:3-4; 2 Cor 12:12; Acts 10:38). But we as Christ's representative and delegates could do greater things in quantity and not quality because of the larger amount of time we have been given by God the Father to preach the Gospel and teach the Word of God, Jesus was one man who I believe have walked in all the callings and giftings and anointings together in one as he was sinlessly perfect and thirsted for God's righteousness to be fulfilled more than any other human born on earth till now (Heb 1:9; John 3:34; Luke 4:17-21), Jesus did all things in great quality that all who came for healing were healed without fail in spite of being pushed with in the time frame of a limited three and half years ministry on earth and that too only within the nation of Israel which the Father God had given Him as his boundary (Matt 8:16; 9:35; 14:36; 15:24; Mark 3:10; 6:56; Luke 6:19). So within the context we should take the meaning of John 14:12 practically.

Of course you are right in one way dear Brother, but in another way, the quantity of the miracles that are being done is very much higher than in the apostolic 1st century times, but the quality of it is very less in our times than what it was. Of course we should catch up with it and I believe such quality miracles will happen in our times as the Church becomes as One Glorious Church in Christ which will be without divisions in these end times (Eph 5:26-27), and also notable quality miracles will happen because God is quickening the Church again and challenging it for greater quality miracles which are notable and undeniable to be done for the Glory of God and thus preach the Gospel with clear signs, wonders and miracles to challenge the people of our times to be saved for eternity ahead by receiving Jesus as their Lord and Savior!

It should be the goal of every Christian to “sin no more,” although we cannot always stay in that ideal but recognize that while we are in the flesh, we will still stumble practically because of sin nature that still exist in us (1 John 1:8; Rom 7:17-19). God’s desire for each of us is to be holy as He is holy which is the ideal God wants us to have in our mind by faith (1 Peter 1:16). We still sin by unbelief, but sin is no longer is a lifestyle choice but out of compulsion from sin nature which takes over our spirit sometimes and fulfills its desire through our flesh, thus at that time we give in by its tyranny and it is because of our own weakness of the flesh that we have inherited from our forefather Adam (1 John 3:9–10). When we fail, we can and do come to God humbly as soon as possible and ask forgiveness to be cleaned once again to stay clean and pure in God's sight to have continual fellowship with Him (1 John 1:9; 1 Peter 4:1–2). Sin cannot throw away our right to have eternal fellowship or in other words our union with God (John 10:28), but surely it takes away the our consciousness of God's Presence that actually cannot co-exist with sin because of God's holiness and so we need to confess our sins and be again covered with the blood of Jesus to have intimate fellowship with God again (Rev 12:11). Though our sins of the past, present and future are once and for all time forgiven by God (Col 3:13; Heb 10:11-18), yet because of our free will, we need to come again to take a choice to line up with God by coming against sin and agreeing with God to confess to God that sin is still a sin that God hates and we hate it too as His dear children (1 John 2:1-2). And because we are truly God’s children, God will correct us, disciplining us whenever we need it to be conformed to the ideal by the renewing of our mind to hold that faith so that we can stay practically out of the pit of sin always overcoming its power over us (Hebrews 12:6–11; Rom 12:2; 6:14). Many times we fail by sin because God wants His work of conforming us to the image of His Son through humbling us, so that we can be able to stay in our spirit and deny the strength of our flesh that leads to more sin and lawlessness (Romans 8:29; Mark 14:38; James 4:7-10; Gal 5:16-18; 6:8; Rom 13:14; 1 John 3:4).

My Parents Again Cursed Us, How To Find Mutual Love And Respect In Spite?

To Maintain Peace Within Our Family, What Do God Jehovah Lord Jesus Christ Want Me To Do????

Question : Greetings to you and your family in Christ name. Can you wait upon God in prayer about my personal problems??? Subject: My father is a Pastor. We are three, which includes My elder brother and younger sister. My elder brother works as an Evangelist in IPC.. In my family, I have two daughters and my wife is a Government teacher. I am a faculty of English in Engineering college to students. I and my family have been living with my parents.. Last year, we had some differences i.e. my mother and my wife, between them there was no understanding. Due to this, we went out of my parent's house and have lived in a rented house. After one month, my Brother and Brother in law came and visited my rented house. They told us that my mother was feeling bad and sick for missing my daughters. They convinced us. As a result of it, hardly one month, we lived in a rented house and left it. Again, we were back to my parents. Now, after 10 months, the same rivals, the same egos, the same unpeace existing in my parents house. Major problem is that my mother dominates and is arrogant. My father is a prayerful man. God blessed him much. But, My father never dare to say a word against my mother. He knows that my mother is wrong in some of her behaviors. My father maintains his silence. My Brother's family and my Sister's family are the instigators of my mother against my wife. The reason that my wife is manages anyway is because she is one who speaks very less.. and she is a silent personality. Today my parents cursed me and my family. We told them, we want to go out and live independently. My parents again cursed us. Ok. We will live with my parents, but, we have no peace of mind. No love, no family prayers. My Brother's family they live in Hassan. My Sister's family is far away. They have respect from my parents.. but, me and my family are living with my parents but find no mutual love and respect. I am upset and totally in dilemma and unpeace. What do GOD JEHOVAH LORD JESUS CHRIST want me to do????

Answer : Greetings to you and your family in Jesus name! The Bible says, "17 Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men. 18 If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men." (Rom 12:17-18). Once the Scripture says 'try as much as possible', it does not give us a command to do but rather a suggestion to try our best in the problems we face to give peaceful means the best try to our ability to solve and bring peace. But again the ball has been thrown in to the hands of the one who faces the unpeaceful situation to take prayerfully individual and conscious decision to move forward in their life. We know that sometimes even when we try our best to get along in peaceful means, the other party also should willingly abide by the Scripture and humble themselves to pursue peace.

In this case, you are dealing with your mother and your wife is dealing with her mother-in-law [i.e. mother-in-love at least as supposed to be]. But we know that this daughter-in-law mother-in-law problems have continued since the beginning of time in the Bible and it will continue because we have all become fallen incomplete beings in our forefather Adam who sinned, and so we need to take some solid decision to pursue peace and also maintain it (Rom 5:12; Heb 12:14), or else peaceful life of heaven with in our home will elude because of our delusion and only unpeaceful atmosphere will remain. You wife should see your mother as mother-in-love and your mother must see your wife as a daughter-in-love which means God has given the other person in their lives to train them to express His unconditional love and become like Christ in love (Rom 8:28-30). If the opportunity is missed, eternal reward also will be missed (Rev 3:11; Phil 1:4-7; 1 Cor 9:27, 24-25).

You have become one family with your wife spiritually and physically after your marriage (Gen 2:24). Your father and mother together in themselves stay as one family as before (Eph 5:23). Now your Father is the Biblical head of his family to still take any decision for the welfare of himself and his wife who is your mother, but you have become the Biblical head of your family to take any decision for the welfare of your wife and your immediate family who are your children. Your parents now have become extended family to you and you also have become an extended family to them. It might take some more time for your mother to understand this Biblical concept because until your marriage she might have seen you as her little child and lately as her adult son to cherish, but now she has to see you as a separate family unit along with your wife, and also consider you as a responsible head of your family to distance herself from influencing you or trying to control her daughter-in-law. As she will not be able to have that kind of authority in her words as before, she in her insecurity and fear of losing her son, might become authoritative and act in a harsh way towards your wife not knowing how to keep herself in the loop as before. The best thing for your wife is to understand this dilemma in her mind and love her mother-in-law with Christ's unconditional love. Your mother also should understand this Biblical concept and try to restrain herself from influencing or involving to take decision within your family, or get agitated to show her tantrums towards her daughter-in-law to release her pressure. Instead your mother should commit her frustrations and lack of control over others to the Lord and step back in to the Love of Jesus to really enjoy her rest of the life that God has given her.

I know as a Pastor's wife how many people your mother would have met to counsel them, but when a test comes to her she should humble herself and commit it all to the Lord to please Him in all things. Your Father's prayer will do much for her, but at the same time he should also intervene to tell what is right at the right point of time she needs it personally, and thus make her understand that they are a separate unit in existence. Pray for your Father as he might need your prayers now to speak the right words or stay silent at certain times to keep peace within his home.

Again your parents cursing you or your family is because of frustration of losing their control over you and the soulish self that stays within them (James 3:8-12, 13-18). I pray may your father and mother be filled with pure wisdom and understanding from above to be able to yield to God's will and way to bear good fruit and to make peace within your families, than to destroy peace by unnecessary bitter envy and self-seeking where confusion and every evil things are present without fail. But you bless and love your mother in spite of her shortcomings, and your wife bless and love her mother-in-law in Jesus name thinking that she is her mother-in-love (Matt 5:44-45, 48), by doing so you both will be able to line up in the perfect will of God for your lives, and who knows, God might soon touch your mother too to bring that peace between your families as well as within the families to stay without becoming unpeaceful.

So if this is not at all possible with the joint family set up, you take a house near by to your parents house and live in a nuclear set up, so that you can take care of your parents too as much as possible. Your wife will also have some peace if she had not be able to cope up with your mother. Your Mother also will have peace and at the same time they will not be left out of your care too. Above all, you, your wife and your mother, allow God to form Christ's Character by learning to love unconditionally like Christ loved us all and forgave us all (Eph 4:32; 5:2). I believe if you do these things prayerfully, you can maintain peace within your home. Thank you. I will be praying for you all.
