♔ The King Maker ♔

The Season Changer

By Abraham Israel

God is a king-maker and is in the constant buisness of doing it consistently in every generation. God chooses people in to his selection program, then anoints them and then takes in to wildreness training.

Choosing has been done before the foundation of the world (Eph 1:4). In the bigger picture God wants all the people in the world to be saved and calls them all in to fellowship with His only begotten Son through the gospel of the kingdom of God (1 Tim 2:3-42 Peter 3:9). Many are called but few are chosen (Matt 22:14). How? Those who choose Jesus by accepting Him as their Lord and Saviour of their lives become chosen candidates before the foundation of the world. How?, you may ask me again. Salvation was not conceived in our own mind, but it was God who offered it for us to receive His predetermined mercy, grace and love unconditionally through it. It was God's own idea to save us from sin, sickness and death through the substitutionary death of His Son on the cross and He was the one who has called us for a heavenly feast and after life (Isaiah 53:4-6; John 3:16; Luke 15:20-24). It was God who initiated salvation for us and thus it was He who called us as a chosen candidate in his list (1 Cor 1:30; 1 John 4:10). We who chose Him have become chosen. In other words, we just responded to God's initiative by taking a good choice of accepting Salvation which was prepared and offered by God.

When we have become a chosen canditate in the Army of God on earth by becoming born-again (1 Peter 1:23), then God sees the hunger in us for Himself and then according to it anoints and baptises us with the Holy Spirit (Luke 6:21; Isaiah 44:3; Matt 3:11, 16-17; Acts 11:15-17).

After the anointing comes the real fight against the world, flesh and the devil [i.e. the three unholy trinity]. See what happened to Jesus after he was anointed by the Holy Spirit, the Bible says, "12 Immediately the Spirit drove Him into the wilderness. 13 And He was there in the wilderness forty days, tempted by Satan, and was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered to Him." (Mark 1:12-13). Satan comes after all those people who are hungry for God and are anointed upon by the Spirit Himself. This is the reason the Holy Spirit drives all such hungry people of God in to wilderness experience of loneliness and God's boot camp experience. Wilderness in each one of our lives might be different. It might be a sickness, joblessness, poverty, hunger, sinful bondages, powerlessness, loneliness or even lack of satisfaction and meaninglessness in one's life. But wilderness will be allowed by God only for the period of testing time, not one minute more or less than God's appointed time (1 Cor 10:13). So be positively courageous and look to the reward at the end of it rather than focusing on the harship of this wilderness testing time (James 5:10-11; Heb 12:2).

Take heart, it cannot be an endless time until we die on this earth as some believe wrongly. It is a set time as we see in the lives of the men of God like Job, Moses, David, Joseph, Daniel and even Jesus. It is for our good that this wilderness is allowed so that once we become refined, we not only would have by then destroyed the unholy trinity of the world, flesh and the devil completely in our lives, but also will be ready to do it in other's lives too as a general in the army of God (Job 23:10; Ps 66:10; Is 48:10).

While in the wilderness we would have received enough grace upon grace from Jesus, by exposing to Jesus about our weakness and depending on His supernatural power to deal the spiritual enemies in our lives (John 1:16; 2 Cor 12:8-10). After the wilderness comes the period of reigning over sin, sickness and death in all the realms of human existence because of the inherent grace deposit done by Jesus through the wilderness in us (Rom 5:17, 21). This is the real place of royal excellence that God wants all of His sons and daugthers to attain, this is the place where the child of God becomes a mature son to be always led by the voice and instruction of the Spirit (Rom 8:14). O what a blessedness of heaven on earth!

What have we learnt from the above exposition of His Word? God has a season for everything in our lives. A season for us to dwell in the wilderness and a season to reign as kings under the authority of the king of kings who is Jesus. The Bible beautifully says about the life of Joseph who went through this same wilderness experience before he became a ruler of the entire world goverment in Egypt, "16 Moreover He called for a famine in the land; He destroyed all the provision of bread. 17 He sent a man before them—Joseph—who was sold as a slave. 18 They hurt his feet with fetters, he was laid in irons. 19 Until the time that His word came to pass, The word of the LORD tested him. 20 The king sent and released him, The ruler of the people let him go free. 21 He made him lord of his house, and ruler of all his possessions, 22 To bind his princes at his pleasure, and teach his elders wisdom." (Ps 105:16-22).

Here in the above Scriptures we see that just for a promotion of a single man to be a kingly ruler in His predetermined plan, God called a season of famine upon the whole earth. He even destroyed the provision of bread to orchestrate His plan and purpose for a man and a household along with him. Before God could do all these mighty things for a man, he made the man Joseph experience wilderness continiously for years together before the appointed time of God came for the prison slave in the wilderness to become a kingly ruler over the whole world in a matter of hours. The very word of vision and the voice of God that instructed Joseph to await for a future kingly lifestyle, tested him through the wilderness. It was this word of the Lord [i.e. consiousness of God's voice and presence (Gen 39:2, 9, 21; 41:38)] that purified him and made him conquer the world, flesh and the devil in the season of his wilderness. Every word of God that we have received in our lives has a set time to get fulfilled. On the set time God begins to change season of wilderness in to season of reigning over sin, sickness and death. This is the reason God is called as the season changer of our lives. Once God sets us in authority, we wil be able to bind the prince and his associates of the power of air and thus teach the people of God about the wisdom to bind it in their lives too (Eph 2:2; 3:8-10; Matt 12:28-29; 18:18). O what a priviledge!

If you have been going through a season of wilderness in your life, take heart for the time of reigning with the grace of Christ in your life is one day nearer than before. You are on a pathway to greatness and excellence. One of these days you will confess experientially from your heart like the Apostle John saying, "4 ...Grace to you and peace from Him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven Spirits who are before His throne, 5 and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth. To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood, 6 and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen." (Rev 1:4-6). Yes God is changing your season ahead and you will be set as a king under the King of kings very soon (Rev 19:16). Praise the Lord!

"The winter prepares the earth for the spring, so do afflictions [of the wilderness] sanctified, prepare the soul for [kingly] glory." —Richard Sibbes

Can Christians Really Go On Dates To Find Their Match?

Q: Is it Ok for Christians to Date?

A: Before we can fully discuss about this topic about dating in our present time, we should dig deep in to the meaning or description of the word
'Dating' in our generational context. The free dictionary by farlex defines it as, "An appointment, An engagement to go out socially with another person, often out of romantic interest and One's companion on such an outing."

Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia clearly states dating as,

"...A form of human courtship consisting of social activities done by two persons with the aim of each assessing the other's suitability as a partner in an intimate relationship or as a spouse. While the term has several senses, it usually refers to the act of meeting and engaging in some mutually agreed upon social activity in public, together, as a couple. The protocols and practices of dating, and the terms used to describe it, vary considerably from country to country. The most common sense is two people trying out a relationship and exploring whether they're compatible by going out together in public as a couple, and who may or may not yet be having sexual relations, and this period of courtship is sometimes seen as a precursor to engagement or marriage."

Taking this present generational context and relating it to Biblical context we can clearly see that it was not Adam who sought God for a woman to fill the void that he felt inside him for a companionship, but it was God who said,
"...It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.” (Gen 2:18). What can we learn from the above truth? It is God's will for every man not to be alone when he becomes an adult, but to have a comparable helper who can become intimate through a union of marriage. Just below the verse 18 in the next two verses we see something unique happenning after God declared that Adam should not be alone. Gen 2:19-20 says, "19 Out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the air, and brought them to Adam to see what he would call them. And whatever Adam called each living creature, that was its name. 20 So Adam gave names to all cattle, to the birds of the air, and to every beast of the field. But for Adam there was not found a helper comparable to him." These preceding verses contextually describes God's test to Adam about what He will think and say when he will see other beautiful pairs of every beast and every birds of the air before him. Adam must have seen all the pairs and would have thought about his realationship to them and must have said, "this one is different from me and must have given a name lion [i.e. say a lion and a lioness] , this one is different from me and must have given a name monkey [i.e. say a monkey pair], this one is different from me and must have given a name parrot [i.e. say a beautiful parrot pair] and so on.......". What can we learn from it? God will bring before us many type of beautiful men or women before us to see whether we say no to them all and wait for the Lord, or will say this will fit me and will settle for a less than complete relationship with some one who will not exactly fit our very nature and desire.

Because Adam gave names and waited for God to intervene in his life inspite of seeing all the beautiful pairs, God did an emergency operation with a supernatural anasthesia given to Adam in order to take out a rib out of him and make a pair that is comparable to himself
(Gen 2:21-22). You see, God is the first senior medical surgeon in this entire earth to do a open heart surgery successfully for the first time. God could have easily created a Eve out of dust like Adam was when He created him, but if it was done Adam would not have passionately said to Eve , "This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; She shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.” when he saw her for the first time (Gen 2:23). How did Adam knew that Eve was taken out of himself? Because there was a spiritual transaction of supernatural knowledge shared from God to Adam that he knew what had happened even while he was under God's anesthesia "which caused a deep sleep to fall on Adam, and he slept;" (Gen 2:21). There is an God given desire [i.e. knowledge] in all of us to be intimate with a woman/man who is comparable to us in manners, nature, character, desire and purpose. But we should learn to wait for God's time until He brings the right person whom He has prepared before the foundation of the world in Christ (1 Peter 1:22-23; Eph 1:4). Until then it is God's will that all believing young men or women be fully devoted to God so as to work for Him and live as a living sacrifice fully pleasing Him in all things (1 Cor 7:32; Rom 12:1-2). Apostle Paul expected the unmarried young believers to stay as virgins both in body and in spirit (1 Cor 7:34). This means the young believers are supposed to keep themselves pure not only physically but also emotionally pure. Once a person goes on dating another person, there will be a emotional attachment stirred up in the flesh that many times leads people to fall in to physical intimacy and infidelity before marriage. Apostle Paul has clearly instructed to avoid it. Then even our thoughts have to be kept pure from unclean thoughts which is also like infidelity in the soul before marriage. Due to easy accesibility of pornography, believing men and women fall prey to this kind of infidelity before marriage. If we are involved in such a thing, we should seek the Lord and receive grace to overcome it in order to keep ourselves as virgins in our soul before marriage. God's sanctification package for a believer goes deep in to all the three realms of the human existence [(i.e.) body, soul and spirit], God is faithful to keep us pure if only we are willing to submit and surrender ourselves in a pure devotion to please Him right through out our small and soon passing days of our young lives (1 Thess 5:23-24; Eccl 12:1).

If dating is the right way to know and find the right partners in our lives, God would have broken the rib in to two and would have formed two women in the beginning of times. After this he would have brought them both before Adam and would have told, "Adam, date one person at a time and check for atleast a month and choose which person would fit rightly for you. Then Adam would have to tell God, Thank you God, because both are from my bone and flesh it is very hard to decide which one will fit, but excuse me I will call one as Eve and the other as Eva for atleast the next one more month before I will get the right answer to tell you." Nonsense! God has a perfect will for every one of us. If we can wait for God like Adam and move in faith like Abraham, we will find the right person ourselves or through some other household contact that God has given to us like Eliezer who was full of the faith of Abraham through his relationship with him
(Gen 24). Even in this case Issac was not seeking for his own bride, but Abraham felt the need of Issac. Then he called his servant Eliezer and sent him out to his own native land to bring a Bride for Issac. During these times Issac was intimate with the Lord by meditating his word and having fellowship with Him before he ever saw his exact match in Rebekah (Gen 24:25). Issac was devoted to God but as he lifted his eyes he saw camels coming towards him and in it his fiancee was residing, even in our lives as we are devoted to the Lord we will see the right person coming towards us at the right time which God has appointed for each on of us before the foundation of the world. Until then we should be fully devoted to the Lord, waiting for Him to move on our behalf and bring the right person in to our lives who has been taken out of us or out of whom we are formed who will fit us exactly for the rest of our lives. In this way I do not see dating as something biblical to recommend.

In our eastern culture you can still see some of the faint footprints of these Biblical tradition still being followed, but the western Greeko-Roman model of dating is influencing and spreading all over the east in our generation. These eastern model is called as 'Arranged Marriage' and western model as 'Love marriage'. In arranged marriage like the Biblical pattern, the father of the household will be responsible for seeking the bride or bridegroom for his son or daugther, in love marriage the son or daughter goes out to find a bride or bridegroom which will fit for himself. Whether it is arranged marriage
[i.e. I mean marriages arranged by God :)] or love marriage [i.e. the son or daughter finding the right person through the guidance of the Holy Spirit like Eliezer :)], dating by any means cannot fit in to God's perfect Biblical pattern, as it involves knowing the supposed bride or bridegroom by sight rather than faith. I have myself seen how many men and women of God married without even seeing or knowing their bride/bridegroom not even casually before marriage. Today I see almost all of them living along with their children for the glory of God. The more we depend on God to make a match, the more we will be trusting Him that He will give us the best life partner for us. Faith does play an important role in avoiding dating, and looking to God for the best spouse that He has in His mind which He has prepared before the foundations of the world (Matt 9:22, 29; Luke 18:42; 17:19). If the father in the eastern culture takes responsibility to find a suitable girl or a boy for His child, how much more our Heavenly Father will eagerly take responsbility for your life if you will completely trust him like a little child (Matt 7:11; 18:3-4). So asking to God the Father needs waiting for God till you see the promises of the Father get fulfilled in your life (Heb 10:35-36). I bet you, it will be worth the wait. Our Heavenly Father has only good things stored up for His childrens who are trusting Him and He knows individually all of them (Luke 11:13; Nahum 1:7). The world will never understand this kind of faith, but you as the children of our Heavenly Father will succeed in this faith lifestyle. So cling on to Him, He will never let you be ashamed for what you have done the rest of your life (Rom 10:11).

Not all men can receive it, that is why they do it

Q: I'm happy to see your messages. Well I was researching on that topic which you said me about relationship between girls and boys in valentine day. That is why I didn't send you any message, because I was finding something and I got one thing. Many believers also make this mistakes like unbelievers, they know what the Bible says, but they seldom do that. If believer can do this, so why will unbelievers not do that? Read this statement of Jesus ( Matthew 19:10). The disciples said to him, "If such is the case of a man with his wife, it is not expedient to marry." (Matthew 19:11). But He said to them, "Not all men can receive this saying, but only those to whom it is given." That is why they do that.

A: We are not supposed to see the world and be conformed to it. But we should see and meditate on the word and be transformed to live a heavenly life on earth. You see, because of the hardness of the heart of the people of Israel, Jesus was telling that Moses permitted divorce according to the law which was weak because it never gave people the power to overcome their problems. But God never intended the law to guide His children but wanted them to experience the grace of His power to overcome evil tendencies from the beginning of time when He created Adam and Eve
(Please read Matt 19:8). In other words God did not instruct Adam to divorce Eve if he could not get along well with her. All cannot receive the perfect blessings of God except those who do the perfect will of God. Why not us in the perfect will of God? It is a challenge to be faced rather than to be seen as a compromise or comparison.

Even the disciples were not born with the Spirit during this time, so they were not able to understand this teaching of Jesus
(John 3:6-8; 20:21-23). But you do not see in Peter's epistles such a question again. Why? Because he was born again and the Spirit of God taught Him, gave understanding to his finite mind (John 14:26; 16:13; 1 John 2:27). Now we have no excuse because we are all born again and the Spirit of God is teaching all of us constantly as we seek the Lord and obey His commandments. That passage "Not all men can receive this saying, but only those to whom it is given." (Matt 19:11) is the answer Jesus has given to the previous frustrated conclusive answer from His disciples who said "it is better not to marry", as Jesus had previously said that divorce except for infidelity is committing adultery and it is like making his wife also to do so. He compares a impossible situation of men and equates it to eunuchs who can receive a gift of God and as a result can stay in celibacy through the power of God, this shows that men can live with out divorcing-adultery if they really seek the gift of God's grace to build up a family to glorify God in their family lives. The word of God should never be taken out of context. Blessings......

Am I Really Called to Ministry?

Q: I have recently become a Christian but my family are Hindu's. I have been feeling as though I am lacking direction in life recently and I have once before been told by my pastors wife that I should devote my life to public reading of the scriptures.

When she first said this to me I thought nothing of it but now a few months down the line I am feeling a bit lost and cannot find peace anywhere. I researched briefly what becoming a pastor involves but I am still not sure if that is really what I should be doing if I am questioning it. I can never tell if this is Gods calling or my own thoughts. Can anybody ever be certain and were you certain that it was Gods calling when you began preaching his word?. I would really appreciate you responding to this as your story really touched me.

A:
I am so glad that you have received Jesus and have been starting to follow His leading in life. The way to God's life is narrow but it is the most satisfying and worthy cause we can invest in this life. There is no one so faithful as Him.

As for you, I will be praying for you. See it is not the Pastor's wife who can make your calling sure, but it is the Lord who will do it as you pursue His will for your life. You can ask God to confirm to you again and again until you are fully convinced about your calling to work for Him. Confirmation may come from different sources like people, situation, inner peace, still small voice, His Word, dreams, vision and so on. God says that He will guide you with His very own eyes
(Psa 32:8). Nobody can be certain about the call of God until years down the line, when God slowly but steadily begins to use us and give us satisfaction, peace and joy to make us understand that we are fulfilling His Will for our lives. So don't be discouraged, but seek the Lord and you will succeed in the plans that God has for you ahead. Even I have fought this question for nearly four years before I settled the matter with God forever to follow Him and serve Him as He leads.

When you are really seeking and waiting for the Lord to find His will, God doesn't consider it as wasting time but as training time for your future ministry. This is what I have learnt day after day for the last ten years of my life. So I encourage you to sincerely pursue the will of God for your life. See in my life I started to get trained as a computer programmer like you in media and worked in it for at least a year before all the tragedies struck me one by one until I found myself restructured in the will of God. At least for a time I had thought why God had made me to study Engineering and computer programming which I should not have done and wasted a lot of years. But until I started to operate in the Net Ministry I never realized that it was a ministry training that God had given me to come in to this ministry. So to you I feel strongly that you are called to the ministry and the media Job that you have done will also be used greatly in the coming days by the Lord. God will burn His passion in to your mind and you will feel great satisfaction in doing the God's will. I like to remind you with the words in
Isaiah 26:3, "You will keep her in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee, because she trusts in you." May God lead you and guide you with His very own eyes.

More on "Can a Believer Celebrate Valentine's Day or April Fool Some One?"

Reply to the following post "Can a Believer Celebrate Valentine's Day or April Fool Some One?"

Reply :
I have come to the conclusion that all Holidays are meaningless. For each day that we awake with the breath of life itself is a Holiday. A celebration of the grace of God. Given us yet another opportunity to learn, to decree and to share in the knowledge given by God. Jesus is a Holiday. Every day.

April fools days is just that. A day for fools, leave a fool to his follies and let's continue on with the business of our Lord. It is meaningless to celebrate anything that does not celebrate God. Nothing that brings for not the fruit of the Spirit is meaningless.

Thank you for posing this good question, and allowing us brothers and sisters to share in our response.
If it ain't about God, it ain't about nothing. Oh and as far as Valetines day. I disagree with having no relationship at all till marriage. Having no sex is one thing.

Sex before marriage is clearly wrong. But getting to know someone before marriage is very very important. To make the right choice by discerning through the Holy Spirit who our soul mate is. We do not go into such a contract blindly.

A: Nice to hear from you about what you think. I have great respect for the view point of every Brother and Sister in Christ. As far as Jesus Himself is a Holiday and a celebration of the grace of God, I agree with you. Jesus gives true rest and He Himself is the rest that we receive more and more
(Matt 11:28-30; Heb 4:1-10). Yes we are supposed to use our time meaningfully to grow in the knowledge of our Lord and decree it through our mouth and lifestyle (2 Peter 1:2-4; ; Rom 10:10; Titus 3:8). Praise the Lord!

Yes leave a fool to his folly is right, but here we are speaking about being joyful and humorous rather than foolish, so that we can be of a testimony to the world. Joy, Peace is the fruit of the Spirit that makes us a unique testimony of our Lord Jesus in this world that is not salted and have no true light of the revelation of God's character. You see sex before marriage is absolute fornication and sex with a married person even before marriage is adultery that is absolutely a fruit of the flesh that God prohibits. During Biblical times and also in our eastern culture, there can be no serious relationship between a betrothed couple until marriage in which both of them will show their commitment to each other by staying in fidelity to each other.

So to talk with each other is Ok in the sight of the elders of both the family, but they will touch and speak intimately or get emotionally involved with each other only after their day of consummation on the day of their first day of physical intimacy. I think this is good for both the bride and also the bridegroom because there can be no guarantee of marriage until the time after they finish declaring their commitment before all people and God. Or in other words both have the rights to say no to the marriage any time before that commitment during their marriage, so why should a girl lose her heart to a boy who says yes to her and goes on with another girl to marry her. This is the reason most people are affected and it happens more in the western world. So according to Apostle Paul, it is better to marry than to burn with emotions for each other
(1 Cor 7:9). So I side with what the Apostle proclaims and do not agree even for emotional intimacy before marriage. The Bible says do not stir up love before its time or until it pleases with commitment in marriage (Sos 2:7; 8:4). If God guides a person and the Holy Spirit confirms that he/she is the right person, then after marriage both can know each other for a lifetime in commitment with love. Don't you trust God will guide us all to the exact person when we move in faith and not by sight, this is indeed God's way (2 Cor 5:7). By the way this is what I believe Brother, but I do respect every other person's adjustment in execution as long as it is not outrightly against the perfect will of God. Much Blessings........

Can a Believer Celebrate Valentine's Day or April Fool Some One?

Q: I want to ask, should we celebrate Valentine's Day? And I also want to know if April Fool is one of our celebration because my Muslim friends concluded that Christians celebrate this. I am so sad about my lack of knowledge about all of this. I hope you can help me.

A: If Valentine's day is just "a day for the exchange of tokens of affection", it is good to share the love of God with our friends, family and our dear and near ones in a special day of fellowship. If it is seen as a day to date with some one and check whether we will fit in with that person, it is not good to be emotionally attached before marriage. God's way to become one flesh in spirit, soul and body is after our marriage and not before it. The Bible says,
" 5 One person esteems one day above another; another esteems every day alike. Let each be fully convinced in his own mind. 6 He who observes the day, observes it to the Lord; and he who does not observe the day, to the Lord he does not observe it..." (Rom 14:5-6). In other words there is no strict yes or no to observing any day [including Valentine's day] as long as it edifies a believer's mind with the love of God, sharing and caring for each other in a positive way which will bring glory to God who has saved and redeemed us unconditionally with His love towards us in Christ Jesus.

The English has only one word for 'LOVE' and it creates much confusion in describing the exact thoughts behind expressing this word. However the Greek language has nuances out of which all the great philosophies and Biblical truths originated, it does have the exact words to describe the motivation behind love. Firstly love can be 'eros', the erotic, romantic, physical love and affection. Eros involves the emotional need which draws itself towards the physical love and affection ("beautiful expression" in general) from the one you love. It should be stirred up only between spouses within the covenant of marriage only. But perverting the eros unnaturally many people in the world try to promote
commercially this kind of 'eros' love on Valentine's day, to draw young unmarried people in to it, which should be rejected by godly people. Secondly 'storge', meaning affinity, affection and friendship Love. It is not sexual in nature. Thirdly 'phileo', which is brotherly fondness and familial love, the love between a parent and a child. Fourthly and finally 'agape', God's self-denying or unconditional love. The first three refer to emotions which comes within us, but agape the fourth is a objective state which we attain through receiving God's love through His Spirit (Rom 5:5). It is the true love that comes only through our relationship with Jesus Christ. If ever you want to cherish love, this is the purest form of love out of which all love will attain its highest place of purity. Also if you want to celebrate Love on this Valentine day, you celebrate this 'agape' love of God out of which you will find out the meaning of what true love is in all other three emotional states within us.

April Fools' Day is celebrated in the Western world on April 1st of every year. Sometimes referred to as All Fools' Day, April 1st is not a legal holiday. Definitely April Fool's day is widely recognized and celebrated as a day which tolerates practical jokes and general foolishness. The day is marked by the commission of good humoured or funny jokes, hoaxes and other practical jokes of varying sophistication on friends, family members, teachers, neighbors, work associates, etc. But sometimes jokes can seriously go beyond a naturally acceptable or tolerable level to make people feel bad about themselves on that day. This may hurt or even cause accidents on that day as it had happened many times in the past. This may not be good as it has totally destroyed the purpose of being happy with people around us on that particular day. In that case, it is better to say yes and no exactly to people around us than to joke and cause hurt to people around us sinfully
(Matt 5:37). So the next time you play April fool prank's on some one, make sure that you are doing it in a spirit of gentleness and good humor with out hurting them in any way. Let us not forget what Mark Twain the 19th century great writer and humourist said jokingly about ourselves. Actually he spoke about the real truth of who we really are by saying, "The first of April is the day we remember what we are the other 364 days of the year." Yes indeed, may we all remember that the Bible also says, "A merry heart does good, like medicine...." (Prov 17:22). God enjoys us more when we laugh and "Rejoice in the Lord always..." (Phil 4:4). Your joyful and humorous words can soothe someone who is hurting around you and instead bring smile on their face. It can be your greatest testimony of the reality of Jesus in your life. Don't be too serious so as for people to think that you are too religious for them to relate with you. Be like the real Jesus who was a friend of sinners and cheaters, but yet never partook in their sinful activities (Luke 7:34).

About

apostolicrevelation.blogspot.com is one of the world's fast growing popular Bible study websites, attracting thousands of visitors daily from all around the world. We follow a unique revelatory apostolic seer writing from the Scripture with Rapture taking place any time after Mid-Point but before Great Tribulation begins through Antichrist, we use dispensational interpretation of Scripture and believe the Bible teaches salvation by grace through faith alone, and the eternal security of believers. We will focus mainly on apostolic teaching that will edify, equip and empower the saints to reach their full potential in Christ Jesus. Our goal is the edification, evangelism and empowerment of the last day Church that the Lord Jesus Christ is raising up before His triumphant return!
