Say No To Flesh, But Yes To God's Will...To Experience Life Abundantly

In Dying We Live, So Die Willingly!

By Abraham Israel

To take on the cross that God has custom prepared for us and deny our self life is not a option that God gave in Christianity. It is the main thing that God wants us to do in order to experience God in deeper and fuller way day by day (Luke 9:23-26).

J.C. Ryle the man of God says, "A cheap Christianity, without a cross, will prove in the end a useless Christianity, without a crown."

We are not saved just to go to heaven, but we are saved to serve God through our love for Him
(Eph 2:8-10). Those who get saved to avoid hell are not seeking salvation with a right motive, though such motive is in itself a wrong thing, yet God overlooks and draws sinners who are His enemies close to Him in friendship because of His love for them.

A.W. Tozer the mighty man of God says, "The old cross is a symbol of death. God salvages the individual by liquidating him and then raising him again in newness of life. God offers life, but not an improved old life. The life He offers is life out of death. It always stands at the far side of the cross."

Jesus Himself had no other way to experience the resurrection heavenly power of God apart from dying to himself and his self will through the Cross which was the will of God for his life
(Matt 26:37, 38-39, 41-42). Out of His death came the life of God to Himself and through Him all men like us.

This is the reason Apostle Paul asks all believers saying,
"3 Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? 4 Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. 5 For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection." (Rom 6:3-5).

We need to keep our flesh at death moment by moment in order to experience the supernatural resurrection power each moment. If the flesh does not die, God cannot live in His power from within us and do His mighty works to use us as a blessing to many to fulfill God's purpose for our lives and for our generation.

Many of today's preachers who are deceiving people, are appealing and tickling the ears of all the people who hear them by appealing to their flesh. They are speaking to them what they want to hear rather than what they ought to hear to live in godliness. They promise that God will give them what they want if they give to the preachers what they need, all in the name of God these men go to all extremes to satisfy their appetite of covetous heart within them. These are con men who are deceiving people and are themselves being deceived by the flesh. These so called men of God have made godliness a means of gain and this will be judged by God. Many of them do not have a good character at all beside the show that is staged before the people, they have all kinds of sins that are entertained in their private lives without any repentance for what they do.

Again the man of God A.W. Tozer says, "Why do we build our churches upon human flesh? For we teach men not to die with Christ but to live in the strength of their dying manhood... If I see aright, the cross of popular evangelicalism is not the cross of the New Testament. It is, rather, a new bright ornament upon the bosom of a self-assured and carnal Christianity. The old cross slew men; the new cross entertains them. The old cross condemned; the new cross amuses. The old cross destroyed confidence in the flesh; the new cross encourages it."

If we really are carrying the cross that God has given us to carry in our lives, it will slay us and we will lose self-assurance to depend on God desperately. The new cross which we hear in our generation promotes carnality, entertains fleshly indulgences, it amuses and tickles our sinful nature and encourages us to walk independently and command a wimpy god of the flesh to fulfill our carnal desires. O God save us o Lord!

A.W. Tozer continues saying, "The new cross does not slay the sinner, it redirects him. It gears him into a cleaner and jollier way of living and saves his self-respect... Christ calls men to carry a cross; we call them to have fun in His name... We want to be saved but we insist Christ do all the dying. No cross for us, no dethronement, no dying. We remain king within the little kingdom of Mansoul and wear our tinsel crown with all the pride of a Caesar; but we doom ourselves to shadows and weakness and spiritual sterility."

Most of the so called spiritual Christian are actually weak in our generation because they do not know what dying to the flesh means. They live no godly lives for the glory of God, because they have never been guided rightly in to being a disciple of Jesus. Most of the people who seem to be spiritual are actually more religious than in any other previous generation because of the quality information and manifestation of the spiritual gifts they see, experience and manifest in their lives. What truly makes us spiritual is the life and character of God that we experience in and through our lives.

A.W. Tozer continues saying, "The man who is crucified is facing only one direction... He [cannot] look back. The crucified man on the cross is looking only one direction and that is the direction of God, and Christ and the Holy Ghost... The man on the cross... has no further plans of his own... Somebody else made his plans for him, and when they nailed him up there all his plans disappeared... When you go out to die on the cross you bid good-bye--you are not going back!

If we would preach more of this and stop trying to make the Christian life so easy it's contemptible--we would have more converts that would last. Get a man converted who knows that if he joins Jesus Christ he's finished, and that while he's going to come up and live anew, as far as this world is concerned he is not going back--then you have a real Christian indeed."

Beware of wimpy spirituality that will rob you of your heavenly reward and destroy the purpose of God for your lives. If Paul the apostles aim was to be found in Christ not having his own righteousness which is through religious practice of a law based life, but that which comes from God through faith in Christ
(Php 3:9), how much we also ought to desire for the reality of being found in Christ's righteousness? This righteousness of faith does not come to us unless we allow ourselves to experience the fellowship of Christ's suffering which is to suffer for doing good in God's will that God has previously prepared for us through our circumstances we face daily, so that we can be conformed to His death by His power acting through us from within (Php 3:10). When we live life in this way, we will come to know God personally and experience the power of His resurrection in our lives, and through our lives manifest the resurrection power before the world for the glory of God. But in case if we choose to give in to our fleshly ways in spite of knowing the truth, we will lose the once in a lifetime opportunity of what we cannot gain for ever in our eternity if we miss out now while living on earth.

A.W. Tozer continues saying, "Our uncrucified flesh will rob us of purity of heart, Christ-likeness of character, spiritual insight, fruitfulness; and more than all, it will hide from us the vision of God's face, that vision which has been the light of the earth and will be the completeness of heaven.

The man who takes his cross and follows Christ will soon find that his direction is away from the sepulcher. Death is behind him and joyous and increasing life before."

Why miss the increasing abundant life of heaven, by the deceitful passing pleasure of the world which cannot really satisfy you? Why miss being a blessing when you can choose to take up your cross and deny the flesh? Why be a religious hypocrite when Christ have given you the power to overcome all death through his cross?

A.W. Tozer continues saying, "[Crosses] had only one purpose... to bring an end to an evil man! Those who were crucified had no life in this world beyond that point... This is what God does with evil people: he puts them to death. Thus, in the cross of Christ, God took all that we are in Adam, all our natural life with its dreams and hopes and resources and brought it to a crashing end by the dying of Jesus.

I must clearly understand that it is not up to me to put this natural life to death... I am only expected to agree with the rightness of that execution and stop trying to make it "live" again before God... Thus when I cease trying to justify myself and excuse the activities of the flesh and agree with God that it is rightfully under sentence of death, then I ...'carry in my body the dying of Jesus.'"

May God help us to put to death all our sinful passions with its evil desires through being found in Christ. God made Jesus who knew no sin to be sin for us, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him
(2 Cor 5:21). Having been made the righteousness of God in Christ, may we allow the Christ's righteousness to rule through our soul as we keep the flesh at death through willingly carrying the custom designed cross of circumstances surrounding our lives in the will of God. God breaks us to build us with Himself which cannot be destroyed for eternity. O what a assurance and eternal foundation in Christ to enjoy the rest of our eternity!

If I welcome the cross and see that it has already put to death the flesh... then I find myself able to say no to its cry for expression. [We must] agree with the implications of the cross in terms of actual experience." — Ray Stedman

Has The River Nile In Egypt Ever Gone Dry?

When Will The Curse Upon The Nation Of Egypt Get Fulfilled?

Question : When will the prophet Ezekiel's 40 years desertion and uninhabitation curse upon the nation of Egypt in Ezekiel 29:11-13 will get fulfilled? Or has it already got fulfilled in the past.

Answer : According to the recorded History, until now the country of Egypt has never got deserted and uninhabited because the backbone of livelihood and economy in which the whole country of Egypt depends upon for survival, is undeniably the Nile river which is also the longest river in the whole world that has never gone dry until now.

The prophet Ezekiel's 40 years desertion and uninhabitation curse is as follows,
"11 Neither foot of man shall pass through it nor foot of beast pass through it, and it shall be uninhabited forty years. 12 I will make the land of Egypt desolate in the midst of the countries that are desolate; and among the cities that are laid waste, her cities shall be desolate forty years; and I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations and disperse them throughout the countries.” 13 ‘Yet, thus says the Lord GOD: “At the end of forty years I will gather the Egyptians from the peoples among whom they were scattered." (Eze 29:11-13).

We know that the above prophecy has not yet happened at all because in the succeed verse of
Ezekiel 29:14-16, God has clearly promised that at the end of forty years He will bring the people of Egypt who will be scattered in various places around the world back to their own nation and then at that time they shall be a lowly kingdom, it will never exalt itself above the nations, they will be diminished by God in such a way that they will not rule over the nations anymore, no more will the nation of Israel trust or have confidence in the power of the nation of Egypt, but instead it will become a symbol to remind the nation of Israel of how vainly they have trusted in the power of Egypt to keep themselves safe.

Today in our times, Egypt is the largest Arab country and has played a central role in Middle Eastern politics in modern times. Egypt's teeming cities - and almost all agricultural activity - are concentrated along the banks of the Nile, and on the river's delta. Deserts occupy most of the country.

We can surely know that this above 40 years of desertion and uninhabitation will happen somewhere during the starting time of the Millennium rule of Jesus Christ because Zechariah the prophet prophesied saying,
"18 If the family of Egypt will not come up and enter in, they shall have no rain; they shall receive the plague with which the LORD strikes the nations who do not come up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. 19 This shall be the punishment of Egypt and the punishment of all the nations that do not come up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles." (Zech 14:18-19). This shows that Egypt as a nation will rebel against the world wide rule of theocracy which God will establish through Jesus Christ for a thousand years (Rev 20:4). In that day, all nations will have to send it ambassador's mandatorily and its citizens freely once a year to the city of Jerusalem which will be the city of the Great King Jesus, to worship the King Jesus and to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles (Matt 5:35; Zech 14:16-19). God wants all nations to attend the festival of the Feast of Tabernacles to make them realize the spiritual meaning behind it, which conveys how God in His mercies have saved them from the Egyptian bondage of sin and the curse that follows all humanity in their natural state (Lev 23:42-43). The nations that have no faith in this Feast of Tabernacles will not come under the supernatural protection of the redeeming power of the blood of Jesus. Egypt will become a type lesson for all other nations during the whole Millennium, of how God's blessing cannot be received but only His curse, unless they come under the blood covenantal blessing of Jesus through whom God disperses all His blessings to all men equally who have faith in the God's forgiveness of sins and the cleansing of one's mind through the blood of Jesus which He provides freely (Heb 9:14, 22; Eph 1:7). Egypt being used as a type lesson for all the nations around the world is the very reason why it should happen somewhere very early within the first 50-100 years itself of the Millennium rule of Jesus on earth.

Also in the prophetic book of Isaiah the prophet, God has clearly expressed His desire and promised that once the 40 years curse over the nation of Egypt will be over,
" 23 In that day there will be a highway from Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrian will come into Egypt and the Egyptian into Assyria, and the Egyptians will serve with the Assyrians. 24 In that day Israel will be one of three with Egypt and Assyria—a blessing in the midst of the land, 25 whom the LORD of hosts shall bless, saying, “Blessed is Egypt My people, and Assyria the work of My hands, and Israel My inheritance.”" (Isa 19:23-25). As described in the above Scriptures, Egypt will become a blessing to the whole of mankind along with Assyria and Israel after it will be judged by God for its rebellion against God's command. Even God goes on to call Egypt as His people after they learn the lesson to be the lowliest of all nations.

So according to the prophecy, Egypt will have tough times of destructive curses coming upon them somewhere during the starting time of the Millennium rule of Jesus because of their pride and rebellion, and then because of the good result of humility and good attitude that have been wrought in them through judgmental crisis, they will come to enjoy good and blessed times ahead under the hand of the Lord who will do this all. In the New Covenant time the lesson we can learn from this prophecy is this,
"5...“The Spirit who dwells in us yearns jealously”? 6 But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: “ God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.” 7 Therefore submit to God [and His awesome plan for your life]. Resist the devil [by keeping your flesh and self at death through Jesus' power] and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you...10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up." (James 4:5-8, 10). The cure for worldliness is humility and this can be wrought in us only as we cooperate with God's plan to humble ourselves and lift His name up through our lives. Look for places where you are made nothing, resist it not but instead commit yourself in to the mighty hands of the Lord at such times, surely in God's time you will be made something unique and blessed vessel of honor by the power of the Lord acting through you. The way to go up with God is to go down with men.

Much Blessings....

Though God's Mills Grind Slowly, With Exactness He Grinds All!

Though God Delays, Judgment Will Come Surely

By Abraham Israel

Jerry had slowed to a stop when his car was hit from behind and was pushed into the vehicle ahead of him. A sickening, crunching sound indicated that additional vehicles had collided behind them.

As Jerry sat quietly for a moment, he observed that the vehicle directly behind him was pulling out into traffic. Obviously hoping to avoid an encounter with police, the escaping driver neglected to notice he had left something behind. When the police arrived, an officer picked up the hit-and-run driver’s license plate from the ground and said to Jerry, “Someone will be waiting for him when he arrives home. He won’t get away with this.”

The word of God tells us:
“Be sure your sin will find you out” (Num. 32:23), the hit and run driver would have never ever thought that the moment he had hit the car, he had left behind some strong evidence of truth which will make him get judged for his bad and evil deed. In the same way God who knows all the thoughts and intentions of our heart, knows the why and what behind every actions we do (1 Sam. 16:7; Luke 12:2-3). Before God we cannot hide anything as He is omniscient in His sight and knows all things even before we start to do all things we have planned beforehand (Heb. 4:13). When God judges and shows the evidence of our evil deeds, we will not be able to say anything to deny it on the day of His judgement because our conscience itself will accuse us of our evil deeds (Rom 2:15).

The Wise Teacher says,
“Because the sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil”. (Eccl 8:11).

Many times when I see people so arrogantly bent on doing evil, the attitude that I see in them is a sarcastic one which will say, 'Who is there to ask me or judge my doing, even if it is judged who cares because people are acting worse than me and I am better than many of them.' Dear saint of God, whenever such a ungodly soulish attitude comes in to you heart, know for sure that it has come from the evil one in to your heart to make you more ungodly in your conduct and behavior, and to bring bad name to the glorious name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. So reject such evil thoughts of ungodliness and take it captive to the obedience of Christ before it takes you captive in to its rebellion.

Know one thing, when ever God's authority or a God appointed authority is challenged and the actions are self-justified, without doubt Satan and his evil demons are the one who have instigated it. If you continue to do your evil actions continually under the influence of the evil one,
"Be sure your sins will find you out" (Proverbs 28:13) sooner or later and you will come to face the judgement of God.

Spiritually Jesus was judged for all our sins and shortcomings, but that doesn't mean that the Father God will turn a blind eye and deaf ear to all our sins
(Isa 53:4-5). God is a righteous judge, and so He is angry with the wicked people who sin every day and will surely bring in to judgment all their evil doings (Psa 7:11). While God stores His wrath for the wicked unbelieving people in their future, because of His love for His children, God will chastise His children when ever they indulge in sinful habits or sins which He always hates, as it will sever His relationship spiritually with His children and keep them away from the blessing zone of God on earth (Heb 12:6).

God will have a video of all our actions, thoughts and intentions of us to judge it at the end. He is the GREAT MATHEMATICIANS who will judge very accurately by our intentions and actions in the future judgment for all men. If you are saved by Jesus, you will only be judged for reward and not for sin. But if you have not yet been saved, you better get saved by believing in the Lord Jesus or else there is a judgment for each actions, sins and intentions of your heart which will doom you to hell fire and haunt the rest of your eternity in Hell fire without God and His beautiful Presence.

And also the wise Teacher agrees and says,
“Rejoice, O young man, in your youth, And let your heart cheer you in the days of your youth; Walk in the ways of your heart, And in the sight of your eyes; But know that for all these God will bring you into Judgment.”(Eccl 11:9).

Though the mills of God grind slowly,
Yet they grind exceeding small;
Though with patience He stands waiting,
With exactness grinds He all.

The righteous judge is waiting for His time,
He sees all that we do;
Yet He waits expecting us to turn from sin,
The sin power is broken when ye give.

The will to surrender and for His to rule over,
Is the best way to live happily;
Why ye wait to embrace His plan of redemption,
That He might deliver you from this evil age.

The intentions and not just the actions scrutinized,
For you to get reward eternal;
Crown that never perish or power that never ends,
Is that yours still or go to someone else?

O ye sinner embrace the Savior who died for you,
Even if it is only you He dared to die;
Just from your sin to righteousness easily achieved,
But it is never you but your Savior did for you.

"Judge yourself sinner and never be judged for sin, or justify yourself to be eternally judged for sin. God judges for sure, but will you be judged for reward or sin? You decide, it all depends on whether you have Jesus or have not Him who was judged for the sins of the whole world, especially to those who believe Him as their Savior and Lord." — Abraham Israel
