Bless Those Who Curse You

More On, "What If Someone Has A Grudge Without Me Knowing the Reason For It?"

Q: You said someone has a grudge without you knowing the reason for it. It is very simple, ask God, He can reveal it to you. In the book of Daniel 2:47 it is said of our God, "truly your God is the God of gods, the Lord of Kings, and a revealer of secrets, since you could reveal this secrets." Even my grandchildren know how to ask God for the answer. In 2 Kings 6:8-12 Elisha the prophet who was in Israel told the king of Israel the words that the enemy king spoke in his bedroom. There are many times God would open my ear and I could hear my friends praying for me. There was a time when my friend was praying for me when she was in Israel and I was in Singapore. And I heard every word she was Praying in Israel. In the spiritual realm there is no distantce and no barrier. Praise God!

A : Yes that is a wonderful thing that you have suggested, that is to ask God what grudges people have against us. God will definitely reveal it to us who are close enough and are attuned to Him. Say that you are going to the person that God has shown that he is having a grudge against you for no reason at all. What if the moment you go to reconcile, they start to avoid you and even curse you in their pride and jealousy. It is not your fault. Satan has done a deep work in them and that they should repent for their bad attitude towards you. At that time you can only bless them and depart from them in peace expecting God to work in their lives and change their heart
(Matt 5:44-48; Rom 12:18-20). Much Blessings....Praise the Lord!

Expected To Forgive, Why?

What If Someone Has A Grudge Without Me Knowing the Reason For It?

Question : What if I come to offer my gifts to God in the house of God and there I find that someone has grudge against me, the reason for which that person has a grudge I do not even know? How should I respond in this scenario if I have to follow the teachings of Jesus in Matt 5:22-26?

Answer : Jesus said in
Matt 5:22-26, "22 But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment. And whoever says to his brother, ‘Raca!’ shall be in danger of the council. But whoever says, ‘You fool!’ shall be in danger of hell fire. 23 Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, 24 leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift. 25 Agree with your adversary quickly, while you are on the way with him, lest your adversary deliver you to the judge, the judge hand you over to the officer, and you be thrown into prison. 26 Assuredly, I say to you, you will by no means get out of there till you have paid the last penny."

Here we clearly see in the context of the passage that a incident happens where we get angry with our brother and say to him 'Raca' which means 'Thou empty fellow' or 'You fool!' out of the heat of our unnecessary anger, according to Jesus' standard we are in danger of council judgment of elders where two or three witness is enough to bring a person to judgment or worse is in danger of hell fire (2 Cor 13:1). So once we have trangressed and have become wrathful enough to not only hurt the person who was hurt by our words but was prideful enough to continue with out asking sorry for our mistake and then on sunday we take a gift to be offered to God and come to the temple of God, God says that the gift is unacceptable to him unless we come with a clean reconciled heart with our brother whom we have offended. Therefore before offering our gift say the Holy Spirit shows and brings in to our rememberance our sin of anger, pride and its succeeding unforgiveness, there at that point of time Jesus teaches us to leave the gift in the temple and be reconciled with our brother first and then come back to offer our gift to God which will be only then acceptable to God.

First of all if we remember a brother has something against us, it means we have hurt them in some known way which has offended them. If such a grudge is there, we must get reconciled to the brother first and then should offer the gift to God or else it becomes a religious ritual rather than a offering to God. Unforgiveness brings Satan's control subtly in to our lives to control it. Devil must run away with no place to live willingly with our consent, before God will have his way in our lives. But if someone has got a grudge based on their jealousy or pride against us for no reason, we cannot do anything for it. They got to repent! God will not ask us to repent for which we are not responsible. We can only be peaceable with others as much as they are willing to be at peace with us (Rom 12:18). It is not our job to keep doing a research of what others think of us. We should always be focused on what God thinks about us, this verse in Matt 5:23-24 contextually points to the place where when God shows us something that we have done unintentionally has hurt others, then we should go and get reconciled to the people whom God is showing to us. When we are angry, it is better to shut our mouth and keep ourselves quiet until that angers gets cooled off, so that then we can be able to think and speak carefully and respectfully to others. Word that fly out of us unintentionally out of our anger when we are speaking emotionally, cannot be taken back, instead it might hurt others to cause a burn wound within them without our knowledge of it. When a person stumble because of their own jealously, pride and anger, we can't do much about it and we are also not expected by God to do anything about it except keep our attitude positive towards them. Positive attitude within us can be maintained by doing the attitude-maintainer instructions directed by Jesus who has said in His Word as follows, "43 "You're familiar with the old written law, 'Love your friend,' and its unwritten companion, 'Hate your enemy.' 44 I'm challenging that. I'm telling you to love your enemies. Let them bring out the best in you, not the worst. When someone gives you a hard time, respond with the energies of prayer, 45 for then you are working out of your true selves, your God-created selves. This is what God does. He gives his best--the sun to warm and the rain to nourish--to everyone, regardless: the good and bad, the nice and nasty. 46 If all you do is love the lovable, do you expect a bonus? Anybody can do that. 47 If you simply say hello to those who greet you, do you expect a medal? Any run-of-the-mill sinner does that. 48 "In a word, what I'm saying is, Grow up. You're kingdom subjects. Now live like it. Live out your God-created identity. Live generously and graciously toward others, the way God lives toward you." (Matt 5:43-48, MSG). In other words, we should never live re-actively with hate to what others say or do, but rather act with the Love of God which He gives us towards our enemies irrespective of their words or behavior. We are told to love, bless, do good and pray for others irrespective of their attitude or behavior towards us, this according to Jesus will glorify God and will help us maintain our blessed attitude of God's love and peace within us.

Unforgiveness is the worst spiritual disease which God Himself cannot help if we are not willing to forgive and let go by the strength of God. If we have developed some sort of unforgiveness through the anger we have exhibited towards anyone or others who have hurt us in anyway, then we should first choose to forgive them from our heart and let go of the bitterness out of our heart, so that our fellowship with God can be restored and we could be able to go again boldly in to the very Presence of God through our prayers done towards Him (Matt 6:14-15; 5:22, 23-24, 25-26; Heb 10:19-25; 4:16). I have seen a very close aunty who was a believer, because of her reluctance to forgive her husband, she became mad and died miserably. Another believing aunty who was not willing to forgive her son and daughter in law for being loveless became rotten with worms in her body and died in her unforgiveness. In both cases, God judged his people like this on earth so that their spirit might be saved for eternity (1 Cor 5:5). God allows such unforgiving believers in to the hand of Satan for the destruction of the flesh because be expects His children who were forgiven of all their debt of sins of past, present and future unconditionally to forgive others debt of offenses no matter what level it is (Eph 4:32). If we do not forgive others debt against us, we cannot expect our debt of sins to be forgiven by the Father and we have no rights to even ask for forgiveness (Matt 6:12, 14-15).

Forgiveness is the foundation of the kingdom of God. Forgiveness is the character of heaven which only the children of God have access to in their lives freely. Until the day we forgive all the trespasses of men which were done against us, we will never be able to experience fully the deliverance and freedom of the abundant life of God in the Holy Spirit which Jesus promised to all those who obey Him (John 10:10; Acts 3:19; 5:32; Luke 11:9, 13). ONE REASON WE SHOULD FORGIVE ALL THE MEN WHO TRESPASS AGAINST US IS BECAUSE WE HAVE BEEN FORGIVEN ALL OUR SINS UNCONDITIONALLY BY A GOD WHO LOVED US WHEN WE WERE HIS ENEMIES. We should learn to do the same if we are really His obedient children. If we fail to forgive a person on the day they have spoken or done something bad against us, it will get harder and harder as time goes by. This is the reason if we really want the devil not to come in to our beautiful abundant life and destroy it to make us miserable, the Biblical rule is to let go those bad and hurtful things done against us in to the hands of God and receive strength of God to forgive them before the sun sets on that particular day itself (Eph 4:26-27). May God help us all consistently to forgive, forget and live the abundant life that He desires us to live on earth as it is in heaven as His dear children.

Much Blessings.....

Why Blood?

The Blood Of Jesus Never Loses Its Power

By Abraham Israel

Many people think that because the Bible speaks about the precious blood of Jesus as the central message of salvation, they find it a bit strange and a spooky message to comprehend. It is true that like in our generation, even the generation in which Jesus was born as a man and grew up to speak about the necessity of His own blood to receive salvation and eternal life found it to be the same too. It made His very own disciples to stop further from following him. When "53 ... Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you. 54 Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. 55 For My flesh is food indeed, and My blood is drink indeed. 56 He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him." (John 6:53-56). Here the very disciples who followed Jesus got offended because they thought that the metaphoric message that Jesus spoke was a literal command to promote cannibalism and a new cultic religion of the underworld. Jesus always spoke in parables and metaphors so that those who really had a real desire to follow God and please Him sacrificially would get filtered from those who followed Him just to receive the benefits of blessings from God (John 6:26, 60-61). Always those who followed Jesus with a passion by denying their self were the one who received the Holy Spirit interpretation of the metaphoric messages that Jesus spoke to their spirit-man to get revived by the power of God (John 6:63; Eph 3:16-19; 2 Cor 4:16-18).

In this preceding passages, Jesus is saying that we can receive God's eternal life within us only as we believe in the cleansing blood of Jesus that forgives our sins and opens a living way towards God to initiate a relationship with Him. Only those who have believed in the power of His blood to cleanse their sins and regularly hear the word of God which He speaks to their spirit-man which is inside them, will be able to continue in their relationp with God and experience His divine life of heaven inside their heart. Those who do experience God's life within them now on earth will finally be raised in a spiritual metaphysical body on the day of rapture of all saints, in which Jesus will give them all a glorious eternal sin-free blessed body. Those who are forgiven by believing His blood which has the power to forgive all their sins and those who heard His voice to believe the word which he speaks will supernaturally receive the power that will revive their spirit-man and also they will be able to intimately experience fellowship with Jesus spiritually. He emphasized that following Him physically cannot make much of a difference in their lives. Jesus conveyed that all those who believe Him should learn to follow him spiritually because very soon after He would die on behalf of those who had believed Him, at that time no one will be able to follow Him physically any more because He will settle at the right hand of God to bring God's blessing over their lives from heaven to earth
(John 6:62).

One time a skeptical relative of mine asked me this question sarcastically, 'All Christians say give you heart to Jesus, give your heart to Jesus. What is this? Medically the heart does nothing but pump the blood of people. Why do they say like this?' Immediately for the first time the Holy Spirit gave light to my mind and I said to him, 'You yourself have said why Christians are saying give your heart to Jesus. The Bible says that the life of a person is in the blood
(Lev 17:11, 14). Blood is a sacred thing that God has commanded no man to eat because God doesn't want any human to disregard the value of life that God has created and go to the level of animals to destroy one another just for the sake of survival. This is true even in our New Testament times too (Acts 15:28-29). Its blood that sustains a beings life, so to give ones heart means that they should give every area of their emotion, motive, passion and life to fulfill the purpose of God for their lives.' Immediately he had no answer to oppose the message that I conveyed to him.

The first time Adam and Eve sinned and have got seperated from God in their spirit-man spiritually, immediately God lovingly sacrificed a animal and covered their whole body with the blood of an animal skin. Once the blood of the animal covered their body of sin, the skin of the animals clothed them perfectly and covered their physical and spiritual nakeness that they incured because of taking a disobedient and a poor choice to sin against God's command
(Gen 3:2, 11; 2:16-17). Before this event when both Adam and Eve tried to cover themselves their physical nakedness by sewing and making fig leaves coverings, it did not profit them neither physically nor spiritually (Gen 3:7-10). What can we learn from this? We cannot save ourselves by our own ideas and efforts, only when God applies the blood of Jesus over our lives we can again be made whole from spiritual poverty and nakedness. God could have simply forgiven Adam and Eve any other way without blood, but symbolically covered Adam and Eve to show them that one day He himself would become one among them and sacrifice Himself for their sins through his own blood and will cover their life with His own righteousness (Heb 9:12, 26, 28). This shows that from the beginning God had ordained by His own choice for the sinless blood to be a sacred and a precious thing which has the power to forgive sins of all people (Heb 9:22). Truly without the shedding of the innocent blood, there can be no remission of sin.

Ater God instituted a restoration of fellowship with Him through the blood sacrifice of animals which pointed them to the coming Messiah who will sacrifice Himself and cause God's eternal favour to come back over their lives
(Gen 4:14, 16, 25-26; 5:1, 3-4), Cain the first born of Adam was reluctant to do God's will and did not have the humility to exchange his fruit of the ground for a sheep from his younger brother Abel, and tried to usurp arrongantly the God ordained way of connecting to Him through a blood sacrifice of animals, and thus tried to set His own rules of connecting to God through the work of His hands which were cursed according to God with out the blood covering over his life (Gen 3:17-19). Thus God rejected Cain's sacrifice and he finally got cursed because of his pride, jealousy and murder of the innocent (Gen 4:2-5, 10-16). Some people say that God did not reject Cain because of the offering he gave and point to the Old Testament non-blood offering and tithes that God commanded (Lev 23:10-11; 2:1-16; Deut 26:1-4). But all these offerings were voluntary for fellowship with God, but the burnt and sin offering of blood was mandatory for all the people of Israel without which they will not even be able to be a part of the covenant with God as God's people (Exod 12:13-14; Lev 9:7; 16:15-17; Heb 7:27; 9:7-8).

Even until today this is the same kind of problems we face in lives of the people of our generation too, many religious people like Cain try to substitute good works to connect God by rejecting the God ordained way of connecting to Him through the blood of Jesus Christ who is God's only begotten Son and the one and only way to God. Jesus did not try to mince words and wanted to be famous in the world of His times, instead he bodly declared that He is the only way to God and that his blood which is shed for the forgiveness of all the sins of human beings is the only God ordained way to reach God through Him
(John 14:6-7; Matt 26:28).

In the Old Testament times God commanded the Israelites to do the offerings and festivals regularly every year without fail, which the Israelites kept under compulsion
(Heb 10:1). God did this and orderd them to keep the rituals in order to make them understand the importance of blood which prefigured the death of the Messiah of Israel, Jesus Christ who is to come (Heb 10:1, 3-4; 1:1-3; Col 2:16-17; Gal 4:3-5), His shed blood through which they all received forgiveness of sins to go to heaven where the real tabernacle of God stands (Heb 9:11-14, 22-25; 11:39-40). Jesus once at the end of the ages have appreared on behalf of all of us and have thus taken all of our sins upon Himself and have become the High Priest in the heavens for us before God where the real tabernacle of God and His Throne stands (Heb 9:27). Because Jesus has done it all for us, now we can all go with boldness towards the throne of God in heaven directly and submit our petition and needs to God directly in Jesus name. Not only we can expect an answer but can give thanks immediately along with our petitions, believing God has answered our prayer because of drawing near to God by the blood of Jesus (Heb 10:19-24; Mark 11:22-24; Phil 4:6-7). In other words, EVERY TIME YOU DRAW NEAR TO GOD BY FAITH IN THE FORGIVING POWER OF THE BLOOD OF JESUS, GOD WILL BE DELIGHTED TO ANSWER YOU AND NEVER SAYS NO UNLESS IT IS NOT IN HIS WILL FOR YOUR LIVES (Heb 12:24). Praise the Lord!

The Blood Never Loses Its Power! Praise the Lord!

The Differences that the Blood of Jesus has made and continues to make in our lives

1) The new covenant which Jesus made with God was done through His sinless blood, it is the means through which we have received forgiveness from God by faith
(Matt 26:28; Luke 22:20).

2) When we took the power of the blood of Jesus in to our spiritual lives by faith, we received eternal life of God in our spirit, which is actually a life of intimate knowledge and fellowship with God through Jesus Christ His only begotten Son
(John 6:54; 17:3; 1 John 5:11-13).

3) The Church was purchased by Jesus from God with His own blood
(Acts 20:28).

4) God's justful wrath for our sins which is being cut off from His Presence and fellowship is averted when we approach God's Throne every time confessing our sins, faults and weaknesses in our daily life by faith
(Rom 3:25; 1 John 1:7, 9). Jesus is the mercy seat of God [i.e. propitiation] for all humans to approach and receive favour from Him (1 John 2:2; 4:10; Heb 2:17; 10:18-23; 4:14-16).

5) We are seen by God just as if we have never sinned by being made as righteous through the blood of Jesus
(Rom 5:9; 2 Cor 5:21).

6) By the blood of Jesus we who have believed Jesus have been brought near to God in our spiritual man and have been interpenetratively connected with Him through the Holy Spirit
(Eph 2:13, 18, 22).

7) We have peace with God through the blood of Jesus, thus clearly indicating that God is no more angry at our sins and failures because of Jesus who paid the price for our sins before Him
(Col 1:20).

8) We have been freed from the penalty, power and presence of sin because of the precious blood of Christ Jesus which was shed on behalf us towards God
(1 Peter 2:18-19).

9) We overcome Satan and destroy his evil accusation towards us by confessing to God our present sins and reminding Satan about the testimony of having received forgiveness and cleansing through the blood of Jesus
(Rev 12:11).

10) Jesus has washed us from our sins in His own blood becuase of His unceasing love towards us
(Rev 1:5). By His blood Jesus bought us to God and have made us kings and priests to our God (Rev 5:9). We have been bought with a price (1 Cor 6:20)! SO GLORIFY GOD IN ALL THINGS! Praise the Lord!

“If the guilt of sin is so great that nothing can satisfy it but the blood of Jesus; and the filth of sin is so great that nothing can fetch out the stain thereof but the blood of Jesus, how great, how heinous, how sinful must the evil of sin be” — William Bridges

Confession and Testimony - The Key To Victory

Remind The Devil To Overcome His Tactics

By Abraham Israel

Many of us struggle with condemnation when we fall in to besetting sins that tries to pull us spiritually down. When we think that we have gone a step further up spiritually, then comes a attack from the evil one that pulls us two step downward. It becomes a endless cycle of frustration that keeps increasing as we strive to please God by our own strength. But remember that God distinguishes the sin from the sinner and wants us to fight against the devil and his demonic cohorts even though we feel like it is a losing game many times (Rom 7:17). God makes us to fight like this in order to make us understand that the strength to overcome sin is not in us but is in the Lord Jesus Christ who is only able to deliver us from the bondage of sin (Rom 7:7:18-19, 24-25).

The enemy knows that he cannot stop a believer from being a child of God forever, so he will try His best and will use all his evil tactics to discourage the believer to make spiritual progression which will make them a blessing to many around them and even the whole world. So Satan and his demons will try their best to keep a believer from knowing the full truth, so that they will suffer and think that it is because of their own fault that such condemnation comes from God. But it is a absolute lie of the evil one. God will convict us through the Holy Spirit, but not even once will He condemn His child whom He has redeemed through sacrificing the precious life of His Son. Condemation is somebody saying that you are a liar and you have lied because of it. Conviction is somebody saying to you that you have lied and so you must confess it and change your ways because you are God's child. Satan and his minions always condemn a believer when they sin and will thus cause them to draw away from God and His presence, but the Holy Spirit will convict a believer to make them repent and again make them live the abundant life of Jesus in His Presence.

We should understand that once we believe Jesus as our Lord and Saviour, all our past, present and future sins are forever washed by the blood of Jesus forever
(Eph 4:32; Col 3:13). Once God transfers us from darkness to light, power of Satan to God and the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of the Son of His love (Acts 26:18; Col 1:13), we are forever freed from the condemnation and the penalty of sin (Rom 8:1). If Jesus has freed us from sin by forgiving us, we are free as God sons forever (John 8:36). Not only our past sins are forgiven, but our present and future sins too are gone forever. We have been made as righteous as God is, because God made Jesus who knew no sin to be sin for us (2 Cor 5:21). Certain Christians who wrongly believe that God forgives us of all our past sins and now we should live by our strength to live sinless in the present and future life, mostly end up being legalistic and useless for the purpose of God. What a sad thing and a deception of the devil they have believed.

God has not called us to live sinless but a perfect life of God which is in Christ Jesus
(1 Peter 1:16; Gal 2:20). Infact Apostle John says that if we say that we have no potential to sin because of becoming a holy child of God through salvation, we are deceiving ourselves (1 John 1:8). The truth is we all sin as long as we die physically. No believer will plan to sin intentionally from which they he been freed and redeemed, but may sin because of the weakness of the sin nature. So once we sin in our thoughts, words or actions, immediately the condemation of Satan and his demonic cohorts will come upon us to draw us away from God and become useless. Once fear and condemation comes in to us, immediately our identity as God's child who is clothed in the righteousness of God will be destroyed and therefore we will run away from the presence of God thinking that God hates us (Gen 3:8, 10). This has been the same cycle that has happened right from the day our forefather Adam sinned and have fallen short of the glory of God to our twenty first century end time generation of ours (Rom 5:21; 3:23). But God has made us all to be just as if we have never sinned through the perfect blood of Jesus to demonstrate His righteousness that comes by faith (Rom 3:24-26).

Do you know that the Satan who accused great men of God in the Old Testament times like Job and Joshua of sin
(Job 1:10-12; 2:1-10; Zech 3:1-5), began to fall like lightning from the heavenlies, not able to handle the power of God that Jesus operated and also made His apostolic disciples to operate in two thousand years ago itself (Luke 10:17-20). Finally the day Jesus was crucified on the Cross, Satan and his demonic cohorts were thrown out of the place in the second heaven where he accused the saints of sin to the Lord (John 12:31-32). All the devils were defeated at that point of time forever (Col 2:15). Now that Satan and his demonic minions cannot accuse the saints before the Lord forever (Rev 12:7-10), now he is trying his best to accuse the believers living on earth and make them condemned inorder to make them ineffective in their spiritual lives. And the only way God has told the believers to overcome this onslaught of the devil is to apply the blood through confession to God and then fully overcome him by the word of their testimony against Satan (Rev 12:11-12; 1 John 1:7, 9). One should not still love that sin which they have done in order for this testimony to be effective. The moment we truly confess to God in penitence, Satan has no more rights to remind us of our sins as it has been forgiven and cleansed by the blood of Jesus.

But when we sin and end up being condemned for it by the enemy, immediately we should not run away from the Lord instead should run towards our Lord and confess our sins as soon as possible
(1 John 1:9). The fellowship with the Lord will immediately be restored in our heart and the blood of Jesus will restore and maintain the righteousness of God in our mind and a cleansed conscience in our spirit man.

After all these things, if the devils comes to bring back the forgiven sins that you have already confessed to the Lord, then you have got to confess the testimony of the forgiveness that you have got through the blood of Jesus to the devil. Many of us think that it is right only to speak to God, but become fearful when we say that we have got to speak to the devils. But the word of God says that we must many times speak to the devil about our already attained victory through the blood of Jesus to overcome Satan the liar
(Rev 12:11). One truth that you must understand is that Satan and his demonic cohorts will not like to be reminded of what the Lord has done for us. Once we start to confess to the devil that our sin has been cleansed by the blood and have been forgiven by the Lord, the devil cannot stand any more but will flee away from you.

Not only that but also remind the devil that he will be thrown in to the lake of fire to be tormented eternally for his rebellion against God, and for accusing and condeming you His child who have been cleansed by the precious blood and have been redeemed forever through it
(Rev 20:10; 1 John 1:7, 9; 1 Peter 1:18-19). Never let the devil have a upper hand in reminding you of your past which has been cleansed by the blood of Jesus and make you feel condemned for things which God has already forgiven and have forgotten forever. In short, if the devil reminds you of your past remind him of his future, he will surely flee away from you as soon as possible. Praise the Lord!

Much Blessings....

Is OSAS True?

If once saved is always saved, why do some people say that the Bible does not expressly say so?

Q: If once saved is always saved, why do some people say that the Bible does not expressly say so? Why do they also say that it is a divisive message that does not edify people but rather makes people to sin freely without the fear of damnation?

A : Once saved is always saved if someone is truly saved! God has children and not just a bunch of hired servants to thrown out when ever He wants. God is not man to change His stance every time we change. God has taken a risk to save us in-spite of knowing that we will sin because of our sin nature. It is like a father and mother, inspite of knowing that his/her child will be born as a physically challenged person, chooses not to abort it but instead chooses to help the baby to live as much as possible to live a normal life. God has done the same thing with us when He saved us. The long suffering of our Lord is salvation
(2 Peter 3:15)! We are sinners made in to righteous saints through Jesus, but we are not sinless and therefore we will need the cleansing blood of Jesus daily to keep us spotless before God and men (1 John 1:8-9).

God didn't save us because he felt that we could live sinless, but instead he saved us because of seeing that we are heading to hell because of sin. So God hates sin but loves sinners in such a way that He wants to deliver us not only from the penalty of sin when we are saved, but also from the power and presence of sin. God has clearly said that the salvation He has given us is not a temporal one but a
"eternal salvation" (Heb 5:9). As a sign of it, he has sealed us with the Holy Spirit as a gurantee of our inheritance in God until the day of rapture (Eph 1:13-14). Not even once did any apostle in the Bible say or warn that the unsealing of the Holy Spirit may happen to a believer if they sin or run away from God afterwards. It is not a small thing for them to stay silent on such an important matter. If they ever even for a nano second felt that the believers could lose their salvation for some valid reasons, they would have clearly expressed it as much as possible. If they ever felt that sin could make a believer lose their salvation again, they themselves would not have had the confidence enough to speak about the free salvation by grace, as they themselves were sinners made righteous not by their efforts but by the perfect sacrifice of Jesus made for them on the Cross (Heb 10:14).

Never once did the apostles condone sin as acceptable behavior for believers, instead they spoke against it all the time because sin always destroys those who are involved in it
(Prov 14:34; 1 Peter 2:11-12; James 4:7-10). A person who is truly born again cannot sin like a unbeliever and go scot free without the conviction of the Holy Spirit (John 16:8). In other words, a believer cannot sin like a unbeliever and continue sinning without repentance for a long time (1 John 3:9), or even if the believer's chooses to live in sin by hardening their heart, it is impossible for them to continue in it with out a chastisement from God which goes even to the extent of physical death (Heb 12:8, 10-11; 1 Cor 11:30-32; 5:3-5; 1 Peter 4:6). But a true child of God will not plan to sin but may sin because of the weakness of the flesh. All the apostles spoke to the believers to live perfectly holy by also telling them that they understood perfectly the inclination of the sin nature which works inside every believer (1 John 2:1-2; Rom 6:19; 7:16-17).

A believer who is truly saved from sin, how can he again love to go in to it from which he has been rescued for Jesus sake
(Rom 6:1-2). The only way a believer can lose track of living a holy life is by becoming a conceited lover of self by resisting to carry the Cross and starting to be deceived by the temporal love for the world instead of loving the Father gratefully for His free salvation (2 Tim 4:10; 1 Tim 1:18-20; 1 John 2:15-17). No where the apostles said that this will make them lose their salvation, but Jesus himself told that those who want to save their life by gaining the world for themselves now will lose the abundant life that Jesus gives spiritually on earth and also the eternal reward thereafter when He comes again to rapture the Church and take it to be with Him forever (Luke 9:23-26; John 10:9-10). So we can truly say that a man who is born twice will have to die only once and that their "eternal salvation" cannot be lost because God keeps them safe until their very end (2 Thess 5:23; John 3:3, 6-8, 16; 10:28-29; Php 1:6). You cannot lose or retain something that which you did not strive to gain. The free gift of salvation is a free gift even until we reach home safely in heaven, where Jesus has promised to prepare beautiful mansions for us all (Rom 6:23; Eph 2:8; John 14:1-3). The reward for each believer will be different according to the percentage of each ones life lived out for God and the motives behind it. Rewards are different for each believer because the free gift of salvation is provided freely for all person alike (Rev 22:12; Col 323-25). In other words, all believers have the equal opportunity to make a impact for Jesus in their generation without becoming fearful of losing their salvation!

From the above exposition, we know that the Bible gurantees a eternal salvation. People say that the message of eternal salvation is a divisive message and therefore does not edify people but rather makes people to sin freely without the fear of damnation, because those people who say such things have never tasted the grace, mercy and the love of God unconditionally to a fuller extent in their lives. May God help us all to move deeper in to the abundant life of God that He freely gives us to experience through the grace that comes through the knowledge of our Lord Jesus
(2 Peter 1:2). Thanks and Blessings....

Salvation Is Eternal Or Temporal Security?

Is My Salvation Really Eternal?

Q : Can God be trusted enough to throw my eternity in to His hands? Should I do something to maintain my salvation which I know is a free gift? What if I sin and lose my salvation? Could you please clear my doubt regarding this. Thanks.

A :
"Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ." (Philippians 1:6, NKJV).

We took a poll in our website for the question "Do you believe that a believer can lose his salvation?". This is the surprising result that I got from the poll in which 100 people took part. 1) Yes - 31%, 2) No - 26%, 3) May be - 0%, 4) Never - 5%, 5) I don't know - 2%, 6) Yes, if he again falls in to sin willfully - 27% and 7) There is always a possibility - 9%. I was glad for the number of saints who believed "No and Never" consisting of at least 30%. All other saints have their own reasons for believing that we can lose our salvation. Most of the saints who live with out a concrete assurance that they cannot lose salvation are those who many times get self-condemned, become very critical towards others mistakes and many times fearful of where they might end up if they die with sin. It is good to work out our salvation with fear of God which is a gift (Isa 11:2-3), but it is not good to become fearful of death due to the bondage of sin (Php 2:12; Heb 2:15). When we believe Jesus first, we come in to a eternal union with Him and he gives us the guarantee seal of the Holy Spirit as a sign of it (John 6:39-40; 17:23; Eph 1:13-14). Once we are shifted supernaturally from darkness to light and the power of Satan to God, we the believers becomes a "light in the Lord" (Eph 5:8) and therefore a eternal union takes place at that point of time because of the forgiveness of sins with inheritance by faith as God's child (Acts 26:18). In Jesus through His sacrifice we have once and for all time have been made perfect in God's eyes (Heb 10:10, 14) and God cannot lie to again break His word as He is not a man (Num 23:19).

We can live an abundant life in Christ Jesus if we come to the understanding that we cannot lose our salvation as it is a eternal one. As it is Jesus who has begun this good work of salvation in us and that He will surely complete it on that day of rapture when we will all have a sinless glorious body (Heb 5:9; 1 Thes 4:14-18). Until then will we sin? Yes we will because of a sin nature within us with which we are born (Psa 51:5). On the other hand Apostle John warned both those people who said that they have not sinned in the past and those people who said that because they have been born again now they cannot fall in to sin again. The first category of people Apostle John have declared then to have made God a liar and the second category he had declared to have deceived themselves and thus have no truth in them (1 John 1:10, 8). But those who are aligned in the will of God are those who confess their sins the moment they become conscious of it and thus believe that God has forgiven them and have cleansed them from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). This is fellowship with God, the other side of union which can be lost and restored. Those who do this confession which restores fellowship with God regularly, will have enough confidence that they will not lose their salvation for eternity ahead as they believe that God is righteous and faithful to substitute Jesus' righteousness for them and take the spiritual garbage of sin that they bring to God through confessing it regularly. So the more we do this and grow in our faith towards God's faithfulness to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness, we will begin to understand that we cannot lose such a free gift of salvation that has been given to us purely by faith irrespective of our work for eternity ahead (Eph 2:8-9). The moment we say that we can lose our salvation, we are trying to add our works to maintain our salvation which is not the truth (Titus 3:5-6). We did not do anything to deserve salvation and also we cannot do anything to retain it. All we can do is to be grateful to God for the free eternal salvation and live as a bond-slave by giving our body as a living sacrifice to seek and extend the Kingdom of God on earth (Rom 12:1; Matt 6:33). I pray that God might give you a great understanding regarding this and help you co-operate with God to let Him do His work in you according to His own will and pleasure (Php 2:13). FALL IN TO THE HANDS OF OUR LOVING FATHER IN HEAVEN AND KNOW DEEP WITHIN THAT YOU CAN NEVER BE LOST FOR ETERNITY AS YOU HAVE COME TO HIM AND HAVE BECOME HIS CHILD THROUGH CHRIST JESUS FOREVER (JOHN 10:28-29). Praise the Lord!
