Raising The Next Generation!

I know every godly man and woman of God will desire for their children to walk with God and be used greatly of Him. But there are some parents who will want the world and also some spirituality for their children. They say to their children to not to get too spiritual because they fear that their children might go penniless by taking the path of the Cross. But hear what the king David have experientially seen through His God devoted sold out life for God, "25 I have been young, and now am old; Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his descendants begging bread. 26 He is ever merciful, and lends; And his descendants are blessed." (Psa 37:25-26). In other words, a righteous person who had lived a sold out devoted life for God and His kingdom have been so blessed by God that not even in one instance there has ever been a time where their children have ever been found begging for daily sustenance or have been found without the special blessings and favor of God over their lives.

But I have found consistently the children who grow in worldliness because of a pull towards it in their parents life, they have completely lost their life in sorrow and despair in their later period of life. All I think at those times are, "How foolish these parents have been in thinking that their children should not get too spiritual?"

Jesus hit the nail in the coffin of those who think that they can have the best of both the worlds by saying, “No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.” (Luke 16:13). Either we are devoted to God wholly and teach our children to do the same, or else we accept that we are devoted to money as there is no inbetween category who can have the both. If we are devoted to money, our time given to bear fruit for the Lord will be lost for eterntiy ahead. And also we will pierce ourselves with many sorrows after we have destroyed the life of ourselves and the generation after us (1 Tim 6:9-10). Some people who think that they can feed their children some wordly wisdom to go after money and also for security reasons have reverance for God in a religious way. God is looking to have relationship with His people and is not looking for the so called reverence and pious outward actions of religious nuts (Mat 23:28).

When Jesus was on the earth doing His ministry, he did not rebuke the sinners for breaking God's law as they already were seeking Jesus to receive the mercy of God for relief from their sinful bondages, but he rebuked the Pharisees who were the religious nuts who always tried to act as though they were spiritual and need no instruction from God Himself (Matt 21:31-32). Their hearts were filled with love of money and so they turned up their nose to deride Jesus when He spoke about hating money to love God whole heartedly (Luke 16:14-15). These same Pharisees not only destroyed their own lives but also of the lives of their children who became completely lost in spiritual darkness (Matt 23:29-32). Never forget that the recurrence of all the wrong attitudes with which you walk and humble not before God will end up destroying your children in the next generation (Prov 20:7; Psa 37:28).

These same wordly wise parents have cried and confessed at the time of reaping fleshly fruit from the next generation, that they have failed in their God given duty to raise their children in a godly way for the Lord's use. But it was too late. Anything that is not wholly given to the Lord will become of no use to anyone as time passes by. If we choose to train our children in the way of the Lord, when they become old they will not depart from it (Prov 22:6). So as much as we the parents of the children desire to commit our life wholly to God, that much God will begin to use our children when they grow up (Psa 37:5). The children will be the reflection of their parents attitude. If the parents cleanses themselves for the Lord and the give themselves wholeheartedly for extention of His kingdom on earth, the children will also grow up to love the Lord in their lives and serve the Lord in a more glorious manner (2 Tim 2:21; 2 Cor 7:1).

So what are you valuing in your life as a parent of a child. Ask yourself these hard question for yours and your children's benefit, "Is the Kingdom of God and walking in His righteous way the prime priority in my life (Matt 6:33)? Am I wrongly thinking that my children can have the best of the both worlds which God hates (Rev 3:16)? Have I been loving my children above my Lord Jesus and fail to take up the cross of Jesus and follow His self-denying footsteps (Matt 10:37-38)? Have I been a godly example to my children who are seeing me as their prime example to follow? Am I taking the time to encourage them to walk in the Lord, spending the money to promote godliness, helping my children to meditate on the word through training them, conducting daily family prayers and making them accountable to walk in the way of the Lord?"

If you have failed in any of these things, now humble yourself before the Lord and say, "Dear Lord Jesus, I want to live for you and love you with all my heart. I understand that I am the only example that my childrens will see in understanding your love and righteousness towards them. So help me walk in your way and also train my children in your way of righteousness. May my heart desire be cleansed once again to seek your kingdom and your righteousness alone, and help me be an ambassador in the extension of your kingdom. May I be serving you and not money all the days of my life. All my childrens are yours and I believe that you will teach them personally and because of it they shall have great peace in their lives (Isa 54:13). Use them for your glory, in JESUS name I pray. Amen and Amen."

God's Complete Divine Healing And Health Insurance

These days people speculate that it is only good food that can keep a person to live for long. In the nutritional market, I have seen greedy herbal food companies fight to promote their so called food as a cure for cancer, prevention for heart diseases and a holistic nutrition for good living. All I can see at the end of their promotions is the hefty price tag they put to all their commodity.

All the food that God has created is good for man. Each vegetable, fruit, cereals and meat have their own benefit for each organs and for longevity. It is very wise to take a balanced food of very high fruit, high vegetable, medium cereal and less meat intake. This will give a good balance to our bodies nutritional needs. As God Himself says through His word that man's life cannot be lived out by food alone, but by hearing and obeying every word of the Lord that has the power to give us healing and health to our body (Matt 4:4). It is good to take nutritionally healthy foods, but it is no substitute for a godly living. If God has made man for Himself, how can man be really be healthy without the God who makes him whole. Impossible!

God has clearly instructed His people saying, " 25 “So you shall serve the LORD your God, and He will bless your bread and your water. And I will take sickness away from the midst of you. 26 No one shall suffer miscarriage or be barren in your land; I will fulfill the number of your days."" (Exod 23:24-26). Don't let any pharmaceutical, herbal or any nutritionist fool you with their pep talk, which can only last as long as you are well and doing good physically. God simply says that if you serve the Lord by giving your body as a living sacrifice (Rom 12:1), He will bless your bread and your water. In today's world where our food and water are getting more and more contaminated by the pollution done to environment because of human exploitation of it around the world, without God's help we cannot have good health. Think about it, in other words it is like God saying that only if I the Lord your God will bless your food and water, only then it will begin to bring the blessing of My good health in to your life and family. So good health is God's gift and cannot be a received just through our rigorous striving and disciplined living.

God not only guarantees to bless you with health when you serve Him with all your heart. Then along with that He has also guranteed that even if you have been afflicted in the past with any sickness, all the sickness He will take away. After that, God also promises a generational blessing transfer for a godly living. The Bible says that Childrens are a heritage of familial blessings from the Lord to produce godly generations, fruit of the womb is a reward for every family that God as a warrior has promised to use in His hand like arrows (Psa 127:3-4). This happiness of having the gift of God to oppose and destroy spiritual oppositions against us through our anointed progenies lives in the future is very much hated and opposed by the enemy of the Lord, Satan and his demonic minions who wants to kill the fruit of the womb, steal the blessing and destroy the great heritage of the godly people on earth. So for that the Lord has also promised to command His blessing which will prevent miscarriage or barreness in your family life too if you continue to serve the Lord with all your heart and choose to live for Him (Psa 127:5).

No one on planet earth can guarantee a long life except the divine giver of life who has the ability to heal all the cells, bones, veins, marrows and every nerves in our body. Our divine life Sustainer says, "So if you walk in My ways, to keep My statutes and My commandments, ...then I will lengthen your days." (1 Kings 3:14). Remember saints, healing which lengthens our life is the bread sustainment that belongs to all of God's children (Matt 15:24-28). If we have faith to appropriate healing, it belong to us. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God (Rom 10:17). I believe even as you are reading this anointed writing, faith is increasing leaps and bounds to believe for a complete healing and health for yourself, your family and even for those who come into contact with you. God's divine insurance benefits for his children not only has healing but includes health for living abundantly for the glory of God!

In my life I got so sick in my late teen years and twenties with extreme potassium deficiency due to hyper thyroid, so that all the muscles in my body would pull up and suddenly I will start to limp. I was intimidated with this so much and was broken with hopelessness. In the midst of it all, God spoke in a vision by His voice and told me to serve Him. I reluctantly took some years to decide, but finally made my mind by the grace of God to serve the Lord full time. You know what happened, exactly according to the word of the Lord we have been meditating above, God intervened in to my health issues and made me well once I started to serve Him. Praise the Lord! Until I started to give my whole body as a living sacrifice, the healing was very gradual. But once I told the Lord that the body is for Him and the Lord is for the Body, God who raised Jesus from the dead, raised me up by His power and healed me completely that I stopped medication after this wholeness came to me (1 Cor 6:13-14). The Lord is true to His word. The real question is, are you ready to believe and stand on His Word and promises?

Those of you who want to have healing and a excellent health, say to the Lord now, "Dear Lord Jesus, I realize that only your blessing upon my bread and water is able to bring good health to me and my family, no matter how costly or nutritional food I may eat. I humbly ask you to bless all the bread and water that I take everyday. I thank you and praise you in advance for blessing all my food and water in the coming days. I thank you for giving me a assurance to heal all my sickness and diseases that tries to afflict me and completely take it away from my midst as I continue to serve you. I believe that because of your blessing upon me that has come through reading this anointed word, no one in my family will be barren or will suffer any miscarriage, but will deliver healthy anointed babies who will destroy the power of the enemy when you start to use them as your arrows in your mighty hands. Thank you and praise you that you will exactly fullfill the number of your days that you have planned for us all in our family, as we all serve you with our whole heart, mind, soul and strength by the power of the Holy Spirit. In JESUS name. Amen and Amen! Praise the Lord!"

More On Spiritual Submission and Marriage

Re : What Do I Do Concerning These Issues?

Question : I must say that I am richly blessed by your counseling. Sir, concerning whom to submit to as a father, the man who led me to Christ never had an established relationship with me. But there is this preacher whom I know and I've seen myself submitting to him twice in my dream. So what do I do? If he is the one, I would like God to also minister to him concerning me.

Concerning my marriage, there is this young lady I have been dating for 6 years now. Right from that day she told her mother that I was her friend, the mother never liked me, and she vowed that only over her dead body she will allow me to marry her daughter. Man of God that was why I asked what is God saying about my marital life?

Sir what do I do concerning these issues? Thank you for everything. I hope to hear from you again.

Answer : Nice to hear from you again. You cannot expect your spiritual father to establish a relationship with you, instead you should submit to him and create a frienship of gratitude towards him for being a channel of blessing towards your spiritual life. If you say that you have seen a man of God in your dream to whose spiritual authority you have seen yourself submit, you have given your own answer. May be God is telling you to be guided by this man spiritually. The word of God never says to pray for a spiritual authority to understand you so that he might be able to receive you in to his fellowship with an open arms, instead it says, "5 ...You younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.” 6 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time." (1 Peter 5:-6). In other words, as you trust God and submit to spiritual authority whom God has appointed to guide you, you are showing to God that you are humble enough to accept His fivefold fingers of God's eldership authority which He has appointed in the Church. Seeing your humility over a period of time, God will give you great spiritual grace and will lift you to great spiritual heights in the coming days. Here you have a quality choice to be a blessing to many, so choose wisely!

Regarding your marriage, you should have waited for God's timing than to have dated this woman for so long. This girl has lied to her mother for so long to continue in this relationship. A lie cannot bring a blessing. This is confirmed when her mother has made a bad vow and have shown her dislike in your pursuit towards her daughter. As a good christian you should understand that God is not the author of confusion and will never lead you in to chaos regarding His will for your life (1 Cor 14:33). It is better for you to understand that God is saying you to pursue peace in your relationship with all, especially that girl's mother as much as possible (Rom 12:18), and depart this old relationship in peace. Ask God to bring the right girl which He has in His mind for you, then don't date again to know whether that girl will fit for you or not. Instead ask God, pray and wait for the confirmation of peace from Him. If you have peace, wait till your marriage. Then marry the girl and then be in covenantal relationship with her for life. I bet you will live a blessed life because of doing these basics right.

Poverty, Riches and God's Mercy Of His Blessings

Blessed To Be A Blessing!

Many times in our life, we fail to understand that it is not just our outward action that pleases God but our motive behind it that really pleases Him. For example, there are many poor people in the land where we live. When we give to poor people, with what thinking are we giving to them? Are we thinking that we are better than a beggar because of our own ability and brilliant mind. In this case, if yes then our giving will not be pleasing in the sight of God. The Bible says that "The rich and the poor have this in common, the LORD is the maker of them all." (Prov 22:2). What does this mean really? We are created by God in different financial, social and cultural standings by a sovereign choice.

Ofcourse because of sin poverty came in to the world system of governance, orginally God did not design it for man but it came with the sin of our forefather Adam (Rom 5:12). Many die of hunger and poverty in many places of the world. Yet at other places there is abundance which is available so much that they waste it lavisly. In short, there is a inequality among mankind that came as a curse to the sons of Adam because of sin.

The Lord's original will for all humankind is to make him enjoy His abundance of food on earth and live in the cool air conditioned setting of the Garden and be enjoyed by Him (Gen 2:15; Psa 35:27). The origin of poverty started in disobedience to God's command in the Eden Garden where Adam failed to keep the only command of God which came with many choices available to choose positively (Gen 2:16-17). Poverty is the mindset of lack and essentially first it starts in the mind before it manifests on the outside. When Adam sinned along with Eve, they were ashamed of themselves and wanted to cover themselves up in order to hide their nakeness which was previously covered by the glory of God's Presence in their mind (Gen 3:8). They wanted to hide themselves. They sewed fig leaves which get dried within a couple of days and because of fragility could easily be broken (Gen 3:7). Both Adam and Eve's eyes were opened to the reality of living in poverty ridden mindset without His Presence because of one disobedience.

Then the curse of poverty was pronounced over the earth by God when Adam failed to acknowledge his mistake but tried to point to his God given wife as the reason for his mistake (Gen 3:17-19). In his wrath God remembered His mercy and cursed the ground and not Adam for the mistake that he commited (Hab 3:2). When God said, "In toil you shall eat of ...[the ground] all the days of your life" (Gen 3:17), poverty of inequality started because all are not designed to do the same thing in the same way (Isa 54:16; 28:23-26, 27-29). This poverty in humans began to increase as they started to make for themselves their own god through building a tower in Babylon (Gen 11:1-6). One more time a curse of disunity and a scattering brought more segregation of the skills of mankind and mutual sharing of knowlege ceased (Gen 11:7-9).

In another sense, God knew that mankind would make a mistake and therefore prepared and foreordained a way out of the chaos of poverty before the foundation of the world in Christ Jesus, and therefore He exhibited Jesus as a lamb without blemish of sin nature and spot of sinlessness (1 Peter 1:19-20). Now we should understand that the problem of poverty which started with losing the Presence of God in the Garden of Eden has been restored through Jesus becoming poor as one among us humans and dying as a substitute on behalf of our sins before God (2 Cor 5:21). Thus He has lifted us up in to a zone of spiritual blessing and riches so that once again we can choose to be in untiy to serve the living God and enjoy Him (2 Cor 8:9; Eph 1:3; 2:10). Now because of Jesus restoring God's presence to be in us, with us and upon us forever unconditionally (John 14:17; Acts 1:8; Heb 13:5), we can choose to live in good conduct with great contentment and without covetousness (Heb 13:5-6; Php 4:11; 1 Tim 6:6). The Lord is ready to help you prosper in all the five areas of spirit, soul, body, finance and social relationship (Prov 10:22). But all of this prosperity starts with our spirit and then fills our soul and then it goes to manifest in all areas of our life (1 Thes 5:23-24; 3 John 1:2).

Now we should realize that God of all blessings wills that we should be blessed inorder to become a blessing (2 Cor 9:8; Gen 12:2-3; Heb 6:7).

God has promised to help us more and more as we help the weak and the poor, He also has guaranteed to deliver us in the time of evil and trouble. A heavenly gurantee and insurance indeed! (Psa 41:1).

Because there is inequaltiy in the world due to finance, when we are blessed by God in abundance, it is a chance given to us by God to show mercy to the poor people especially to the ministers of God and the bretheren in the household of faith (Gal 6:10; James 2:14-18). We ought to delight in being a blessing in order to be blessed by God more and more (Psa 109:17).

The blessing of Abraham which is to be a blessing to the world has come upon us in Christ Jesus, so let us learn to be BLESSING to whomever God brings on our way (Gal 3:14). Even if we just say, "God Bless You", a spiritual impartation of blessing will take place spiritually by our faith. When we bless others and pronounce blessing upon people, the blessing of God will come upon people in a tangibly supernatural way that they will become very happy to connect with us in the future (Jam 3:10). Never forget saints, it is God's Presence that makes us a blessing to others whom we meet (Psa 21:6). As we become more and more a carrier of God's glory, we will surely become a BLESSING TO THE WHOLE WORLD IN CHRIST JESUS.

If you are faithful in dispersing your God given blessing, you will abound with many blessings, but because of the influence of the evil heart you suddenly become hasty to become rich, soon punishment will come from God (Prov 28:20).

If there is a poor brethren among the Household of Faith, God has commanded us to open our hands wide to him, and also warns us to be beware of closing our hands to him who is in need. God also gurantees that there will be always poor people present to show mercy to them. So wisely make use of the time and choice that God gives you to be a blessing and collect eternal reward in heaven for all of it (Matt 19:20-21). You are commanded to give only when God has blessed you with something, that too willingly with a cheerful heart which the Lord loves (Deut 15:7-11; 2 Cor 9:7).

AS GOD'S PEOPLE WHEN WE LIVE IN A SUPERNATURAL BLESSED WAY BY BEING A BLESSING TO OUR BRETHREN AND ALL THE POOR PEOPLE, THE LORD GOD OF HEAVEN AND EARTH HAS GUARANTEED TO BLESS US IN ALL THE WORKS THAT WE PUT OUR HANDS TO (Deut 15:10). What more you need saints? No matter what profession you are in, God is able to make you a BIG TIME BLESSING to people around the world. Believe the voice of the Lord and become blessed.

If you still want a promise and a challenging assurance, here is what God says to you, "31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?" (Rom 8:31-32). You know the unchanging answer to this question, God will surely give you all things that you need inorder to be succesful in this life, how successful you have been with what God has given you will carry a reward in the after life for HIS GLORY! Rest in His assurance and start to believe His promises and live. Saved people are bound to prosper and be a blessing (Zec 8:13). Praise the Lord! That includes you my friend, work hard to believe and live the super abundant life on earth as God lives in heaven (Heb 4:1, 3, 11).

So as a Christian, it is our attitude towards money that matters to God and not the money itself. When we have a attitude to bless others, God not only blesses us but makes us a BLESSING TO MANY who are in need. BE BLESSED TO BE A BLESSING!

Ministry and Marriage, The Two Destiny Builders

Prophetic Counseling Regarding Ministry and Marriage

Question : Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. I am Gideon Thomas from Nigeria. Sir I want to know the type of ministry God has called me into and whom to submit to as my spiritual father in the Lord. Secondly, regarding my marital life, what is God saying about it. Thank you sir. I look forward to hearing from you.

Answer : Greetings to you in Jesus name!

Here is what Scripture says, "10 As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. 11 If anyone speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God. If anyone ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen." (1 Peter 4:10-11). In other words, all believers are gifted by God in some area of ministering supernaturally to all the saints and others. So if you are able to preach, preach and bless others around you, believing that God is speaking through you. If you have the resources to help others, do it gladly as though the Lord Himself is giving through you.

To know the type of ministry God has called you to do, first try to do what you are able to do within the Church setting and also outside towards the people whom God has placed around you.

When you feel the grace of God manifesting through you, you will feel joyful to do the work of God and also will be able to say at the end of the day that God has done it through me (1 Cor 15:10). Spiritual fathers are those who have guided you in to the Lord and who are willing to pray for you and help you grow in the Lord (Gal 4:19). Pray, if you have not got one and the Lord will bring you in to contact with the right person. Once God gives you, submit to the spiritual father's or elders whose faith follow them, willingly as to the Lord so that they might watch out for your souls with joy and not with grief that will take you out of being a recipient of the blessing of God that was ordained to come and reach you through them (1 Peter 5:5; Heb 13:7, 17).

Remember, there can be ten thousand guardians or pastoral elders who can guide you, but only one person can be a spiritual father who have shared the gospel with you to make you become born again in your spirit (1 Cor 4:15). So, you will only know who your spiritual father is, but if you do not know, just pray that God will really give you a guardian with a father's heart towards you.

Regarding your married life, if you are not yet married, God says that it is better to get married than to burn with lust (1 Cor 7:7). Because of sexual immorality that Satan instigates through the worldly mediums and continiously works against the soul life of all believers to destroy it (John 10:10; 1 Peter 2:11), God has clearly revealed that it is good that each man have his own wife and vice-versa for women (1 Cor 7:2). If you are seeking for a bride, it is good to pray to God and expect God to direct you to the right person or bring the right person to you (Prov 19:14). God may use Eliezers as a go between you and the bride's family, and He will guide and supernaturally lead the Eliezers through angelic intervention to find and connect the right person which God has chosen in His mind for you (Gen 24:1-16; 15:2). Be open to Eliezers and also ask God for confirmation regarding the person who is set before you through these supernatural connections. If God gives you peace that passes all understanding within your inner spirit-man, even though you are still confused in your logical mind regarding what decision to take, trust God's sovereign rule over your life and go ahead in marrying the girl which God has brought to you to be your life partner (Php 4:6-7; Psa 32:8).

When you wait for God in faith, and finally find the exact person God has planned for you before the foundation of the world (Eph 1:4), you will receive a favor of great blessing and will come to realize that you have found a good thing in your life that you did not have before (Prov 18:22). A very perfect excellent match no one can find for you except the Lord who knows where your rib have got hidden when He operated and took the rib of our first father Adam and fit it in rib of our first mother Eve in the garden of Eden (Prov 31:10). Ever since God has been in the business of matching the right rib and bringing people together in a holy covenantal matrimony for life. Remember, our Lord who first brought Eve to Adam, is again able to bring you the bride which He has in His mind for you (Gen 2:22; Eph 3:20-21).

The Lord has clearly expressed in the basic good level of the will of God to marry only a believer (Rom 12:2; 2 Cor 6:14). If even a believer wants to remarry after the death of their spouse, they are instructed to marry only within the community of believers (1 Cor 7:39). The higher you go to find your bride in the acceptable and perfect will of God, it is up to your faith level.

If you are married, praise the Lord! God will bless your family as you love your wife as Christ loves the Church unconditionally and as your wife submits to you as the Church submits unconditionally to Christ (Eph 5:22-25). Remember, if truly "CHRIST is the HEAD of your household, THE UNSEEN HOST at every meal, THE SILENT LISTENER to every conversation", you will experience a blessed heaven on earth through your family life.

My Testimony of His Refreshment!

SPIRITUAL COKE REFRESHMENT For The Soul AVAILABLE!

We are all a generation of Coke, Pepsi, Sprite and Fanta consumers around the world. I am very apprehensive of the so called soft drinks health benefit and really consider it to be a junk food. I only take a couple of sips on special occasions. But I have recently found it to be refreshing so much during the heat that I drank much more than I usually take. Others whom I advised not to take much, took note of it and asked me about it. Then some how I was a little embarrassed about it and said that "in political situation we say it but do not do it." I laughed it away after that. Why I said this is to emphasize that though something may not be the best available thing at a particular time, yet we crave for it if it refreshes us in that time of our need. Yet no amount of soft drink can satisfy us in such a way that we will be able to say, "I am satisfied with what I drank, so that when ever I need, I can draw it from within." No my friends, most of those who keep on feeding junk foods get used to its lure that they start to binge on it, thus destroying their God given health.

When I was seven years old, I received Jesus Christ consciously as the Lord and Savior of my life. I saw myself as a sinner in need of the Savior and I came to realize and also understand spiritually that Jesus Christ is the one who has become a substitute for me. I saw in a vision Jesus hanging on the Cross of Calvary with a bleeding feet and hands. Blood seeping out all over His body with rashes due to the lashes that He received for my sinfulness. I saw the thorn crown on His head for all the bad thoughts of sin that controlled me. When I realized that it was for my fault and sinfulness that Jesus died, tears seethed and flowed from my eyes. Joy and peace flooded my soul as I went to sleep that night with heaven in my little heart. From that time on, I believe, the living water which Jesus supplied that day became a fountain within me, springing up into everlasting lfe. But over a period of time, the fountain measure made me crave for rivers of unlimited measure (John 7:37-39). I have learned by experience that it is not good to just be gloriously born of the Spirit and keep waiting by sitting forth comfortably in this knowledge to enter heaven (John 3:3-6). We will become useless towards fulfilling God's purpose for our life if we do not seek further to be filled with the Holy Spirit. Here is what happened further in my life.

I was raised up in a staunch evangelical denomination that puts a good base of repentance, victory over sin and a changed life (Heb 6:1; Rom 6:14-15; Acts 9:20-22), have unfortunately because of a lack of revelation have always discouraged people about the filling of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues (Acts 19:2). Because of this teaching all through my boyish and teenage years I have longed for something more of God without knowing that it was God that I was searching for. But instead only emptiness began to increase in me as I started to substitute the world within me to fill that God shaped void. Blaise Pascal the French Mathematician, Philosopher and Physicist, who lived a short but wonderful exemplary life from 1623-1662, have beautifully said, "There is a God shaped vacuum in the heart of every man which cannot be filled by any created thing, but only by God, the Creator, made known through Jesus.” How true and profound it is!! So when I saw some gifted ministers of God ministering under the fullness of the baptism of the Spirit, our denominational people would cause fear and unnecessary doubt by pointing to their lives and then saying that they are not as good as they speak and seem to be, so these things are not of God. But I used to question myself why I am draw towards the message that they speak?

But as time went by, I totally have forgotten to focus on my relationship with God in my teen years and have grown to be very piously religious. The God shaped hole in my life grew bigger and bigger until I start to seriously think about the meaning of life. As I tried to be conformed to the world's system of thinking in order to relate to my college mates, strong bondage of slavery to sin and self took hold of me to haunt me during my Polytechnic and Engineering days. Then I wanted to live a solitary life in some foreign land and spend my life peacefully as I had lost the peace and refreshment of God's light and His Presence. God by His grace allowed a sickness to come to me that made me to rethink that I am not in control of my own life (Psa 119:67, 71). I also realized that I could easily become a invalid if not for the mercy of God in my life (2 Sam 9:1-3, 6-8). During that time, I began to seek God through His word (Psa 119:49-50, 81, 92). Then one day I was watching a television talk show in which a well known powerful man of God along with another one were discussing about the baptism of the Spirit. I was greatly blessed by the ministry of this man of God who I used to see speak in tongues while ministering.

Those days because of being sick and down in the bed, I was in my home town. One day in that half an hour program, a aged man of God was invited for the show. He had a special anointing over his life, especially in the area of giving of the Holy Spirit with the laying of hands. When he prayed for people many received the ‘baptism of the Holy Spirit’ with the evidence of speaking with new tongues.

He was speaking in details about this tongue speaking. He discussed in the talk show that our mind should not be used and should be kept blank while trying to speak in tongues. Further he said that this tongues comes from our spirit as the Spirit of God gives us the utterance individually.

He also told about a woman believer who tried to receive new tongues for years and she prayed and prayed and nothing happened, she was also prayed over and prayed over by many many men and women of God, but to no avail. One fine day this man of God was invited to their church. And he told her that the very fact that she boasts about many men and woman of God praying over her and she in spite of it all not receiving the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the external evidence of speaking in unknown tongues in itself shows the pride in her which God resists. So he ordered this woman to go before the altar immediately and kneel down in humility before God, and without logically reasoning with her mind, just believe and expect the prayer that God gives through tongues to come from her spirit as a external sign of the internal filling of the Holy Spirit. This man of God then said that even if she will get just one word she should by faith open her mouth and should speak it and it will come. Finally she received it when words came rushing out of her by faith which she began to speak by her own choice for the Glory of God. This encouraged me very much. That night as usual as I went to the open-terrace to pray. This was the time God directly challenged me to seek for the baptism of the Holy Spirit because of the severe depression I had during that time of my life. I simply said to God, "Lord, I heard the man of God speak today who came to the talk show of this evangelist who hosted the show, say that we must close up our logical and reasoning mind and ask God to fill us with His Spirit by faith. If what he says is real, please help me receive it." Then as I continued to pray, I prayed ‘Lord I would like to pray in tongues’, not really understanding fully that I needed the Baptism of the Holy Spirit for which God gives the tongues as a external evidence of the internal filling. Then after I finished praying like that, I felt some sort of utterance coming from my spirit up to my throat. So I opened my mouth and by faith I prayed out the utterance but kept my mind blank.

At first it was a sort of one word and repeated phrases in tongues came out. Then I grew bold and began to speak it loudly. Then tongues came flowing out of my spirit. Also I felt refreshed and edified in my mind every time I prayed in tongues, so it became a habit.

Actually God found me like he found the Samaritan woman at the well. This woman was thirsting for reality in her life and was involved in multiple relationship with men, one after the other to fill this God shaped void in her life. But it never brought satisfaction to her. Instead it made her more empty to seek for more instead of satisfying her. She even tried to be religious and it was of no use as she failed to get her void within be filled towards satisfaction in life. But finally when she met Jesus, He revealed her inner hidden pursuit for reality and satisfaction, and pointed to Himself as the solution for her thirst within. Finally she drank the living water and was satisfied. Jesus instructed her to seek for more of His Spirit in order to have a living connection with the Father in heaven, and also worship Him in spirit and in truth through the Holy Spirit who gives a supernatural language to worship and praise the Lord (John 4:7-25; Acts 10:46; 1 Cor 14:14-18).

Then words started to increase as the habit of regularly praying in tongues for a set time each day increased more and more by faith. It started to flow out of me in various category of tongues as time passed by. The great thing that happened along with the Baptism of the Holy Spirit is that, a supernatural refreshing came upon me from within, every time I spoke to God in tongues (1 Cor 14:2; Isa 28:11-12). To the world as usual the phenomenon of receiving and operating in the gift of the "Baptism in the Holy Spirit", with the external evidence of speaking in tongues may be mockery as it was in the day of Pentecost two thousand years ago (Acts 2:3-4, 6, 12-13). But to the spiritual people it is the most edifying and refreshing drink that satisfies them more and more increasingly in their lives (1 Cor 2:14).

I started to get more and more revelation of the deep things from the word of God after this rivers of living water started to flow out of me (1 Cor 2:10-13). Even now I have written this testimony of mine through the refreshing touch of the Holy Spirit's river that flows out of me. I thank God that I am able to speak in tongues more and more (1 Cor 14:18), now I am satisfied and refreshed each day as I swim in the rivers of living water. If there is one thing that I am given to shout in all the world, it would be, "JESUS IS ETERNALLY SATISFYING AND REFRESHING THROUGH THE BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT."

My prayer to God for you is, "Lord, fill all those who read this with rivers of living water and satisfy them with the fullness of the Holy Spirit. May a holy Baptism in the Holy Sprit take place supernaturally as it had taken place for me by faith (Gal 3:14). May the supernatural language of tongues flow out of each of their spirit-man in JESUS mighty name. After that, help each one of them to discipline themselves daily to speak mysteries of their life, situation, family, Church and the whole world by faith in the language of tongues to you and as a result of it be refreshed with the oil of gladness because of your pleasing acknowledgement to answer all the prayers done through tongues, from heaven in the coming days (1 Cor 2:7, 10, 12; 14:2). Amen!"
