"For who is God, except the LORD? And who is a rock, except our God?" (2 Sam 22:32, NKJV).
"The Lord said to my Lord" (PSA 110:1), is as much true in the life of Jesus, as "My God, My God, Why have you forsaken me." In other words, Father God in heaven called Jesus as Lord, because both were co-equal and co-eternal, one in essence, nature, power, action, and both remained as one God along with the Holy Spirit. In the same way, as no one is God except the Father and His Son Jesus Christ who has revealed Him to us through the Holy Spirit, Jesus calling the Father as 'My God' and the Spirit the second time as 'My God', not only shows his perfect humanity, but also it reveals the coequal nature with both the Father and the Holy Spirit. Praise the Lord!
So no one should ever say, that just because Jesus said, 'My God' shows that He is just a human, sorry the truth is, He is more than that, He was God, He is and forever He will be. He cannot change as he has only one nature, the nature of that sinless God within him in his spirit-man and the human nature He inherited through him being born as a human grew with in him, as he remained sinless in his soul through the power of the Holy Spirit. Incarnation of Jesus the Man as the foretold Christ the Lord God is the true revelation of God for all humanity, there is no other religion or doctrine that can introduce God to humans and bring them in to a living and loving relationship with God like this only way ordained by God even before the foundation of this world. Jesus always remains as perfect God and Man, none can be like him, whether humans or angels, the one and only Mediator between God and humans. Only Jesus is worthy to be that human Mediator between God and humans, because he was, and is and forever will be God!
Glory to God! Hallelujah! Because Jesus as God became a human, that is why humans were able to become the child of the Most High God!
Because of Jesus, now we who have believed him as our personal Lord and Saviour, are given the power to live as the Child of God!
